Formed by volcanic eruptions millennia ago the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia attracted Byzantine Christians who made their homes in the soft tufa rock and in deep underground cities. The landscape is a mix of rolling hills, strange, wave-like rocks and tall pinnacles of volcanic rock euphemistically called "Fairy Chimneys". Rivers irrigate small fields and apricots and other fruits grow in abundance in the rich, fertile soil.

Most tours of Iran are usually a couple of weeks in duration, but this one-week trip brings the magnificent treasures of ancient Persia and the modern Republic within the reach of those with less time.

The people here live a very different life to those in the rest of Vietnam and this 3 day exploration of the complex maze that is the Mekong Delta gives you a taste of the traditions and customes of the Mekong River and its tributaries.
