Keith Bateman was a songwriter for Alicia's Attic, runs his own animation company and creates the tunes for karaoke machines. He was also the spoof-meister behind the Roswell incident. He came in to the studio to talk about his antics with music producer Paul Mex, who has sold over a million records and worked with everyone from Robert Wyatt to George Michael (not to mention starring in a Wham! video)... They chatted to producer Simon Watkins and co-host Colette Meacher about aliens, 80s jumpsuits and Jamie Reid.

Grant Scott is a freelance photographer who ran an exhibition at the Brighton Dome called 'the Dome Sessions', where he displayed photographs of many well known artists and performers including Rufus Wainwright, The Feeling, The Go! Team, Jason Donavon, Chloe Hanslip and the Guillemots (pictured). More info on the Dome website

Artwave is a fantastic visual arts festival which takes place in Lewes every year in September in every available shop, studio, garage, garden, tea-shop and rabbit-hole. Painter Pearl Bates and photographer Francois Norris took part and came in to the studio to tell us all about it.

This lovely, somewhat hirsute, London based artist graced us with his charms to talk about his show, 'Nick Morley's Amazing World of Beards' up at The Permanent Gallery, and oh! what fun we had talking about all things hairy.

Barry Surtees, Director of Unit03 Gallery in Brighton, told us about sponsoring the Best Artists' Awards as part of the Artists' Open Houses this year. The winners - Si Uwins (3D) and Maggie Feeny (2D) - also joined us to share their joy at winning an exhibition in this fantastic new art space. Brighton Carnival is an annual extravaganza which winds its way through the streets spreading joy and happiness. Latest Art talked to one of the organisers about costumes and glitter and making some noise. Ewan Gorman also joined us in the studio to let us know about the Kids' Film School and putting cameras into the hands of the little people. The Royal Pavilion made from rice? Mmmm, yummy, make mine a big slice. Emilia Telese cooked up some fun with Colette and Jeff and explained why The Edible Construction Company chose to make such an unusual sculpture and house it in Brighton's Jubilee Library.

When she got married and had a child, she found juggling home life with a career meant that she no longer had time for her favourite hobby, drawing. Yet somehow, she found time to create her very own website, drawanyway.com, to support and encourage both those with no time to draw and those with no confidence or experience of it. So go on, draw anyway!

Wayne Imms is the founder and Director of Space, a non profit making organisation that provides support for those interested in the creative sectors and a monthly networking event in the New Madeira Hotel in Brighton, with special guests and performers. A broadcaster in his own right, Wayne came on to the show to name-drop July's guests.
