Captain America is a fictional character, a superhero that appears in comic books published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Captain America Comics #1 (March 1941), from Marvel Comics' 1940s predecessor, Timely Comics,[1] and was created by Joe Simon and Jack Kirby. The HP TouchPad includes a 9.7 diagonal multitouch capacitive touch screen. The screen resolution is the same as the iPad's at 1024 by 768 pixels. Similar to most tablets on the market, the TouchPad utilizes a glossy display for deeper blacks, purer whites and richer colors. Certain people choose to use a stylus as their primary input method, which is why a capacitive stylus is available for separate purchase. Unlike other tablets with fixed virtual keyboards, the TouchPad opts for a more functional resizable keyboard. There are four sizes to pick from including Xtra-Small, Small, Medium and Large. The TouchPad is also the only tablet with a number row on top of the common QWERTY layout for an easier access.

The TouchPad retains it's simplicity and has only three separate physical buttons. It has the sleep/wake button on the top right for bringing the TouchPad in and out of sleep.. The TouchPad also has a home button at the very bottom of the front which launches the card view or the app launcher. This function can also be performed by swiping up from the bottom of the screen bezel. Finally, there is a set of volume rockers at the right of the device for adjusting system sounds or media volume. Similar to the iPad, users are able to hold the power button and the home button together to create a screen snapshot.

The HP TouchPad is a tablet computer developed, and designed by Hewlett-Packard[1].

The TouchPad is aimed to be a primary contender to the infamous Apple iPad 2, and the Android Tablets available. Because of the fact that the TouchPad runs HP webOS, it has the same card multitasking found in the Palm Pre 2, HP Veer, and HP Pre 3 including the revered "stack" feature.

[2] The TouchPad also has an unobtrusive drop down notification system, which silently alerts you of any new email, alerts, or updates. Due to webOS's open nature, Homebrew's Preware application lets the user modify most of the software's features.

[3] The TouchPad has the second largest tablet app store with 400 tablet optimized applications at launch, and it is acclaimed to have the best quality apps available of any platforms. The TouchPad can also run most of the 6000+ apps available for the Pre phones in a small phone emulator. The TouchPad is the only tablet with a native FaceBook application.

[4] The HP TouchPad was launched on July 1, 2011 in the US, and July 15 in Canada, UK, France, and Germany. The ATT 4G HSPA+ versions of the TouchPad is scheduled for release in the near future. The HP TouchPad is one of many new tablets to optimized a multi-touch, capacitive touchscreen which works great with webOS. One of the many features that sets the TouchPad apart is "Touch to Share." This feature allows the Pre 3 and the Veer to share information such as websites by touching their sensors with the TouchPad's sensors. Unlike the iPad, the TouchPad is able to receive calls and text messages sent to any webOS powered phone. This is possible because both the TouchPad and the webOS phones use the same Palm Profile, allowing the webOS phones to forward any incoming messages on to the tablet.

[5] One thing to note is that the TouchPads do not have a phone radio, thus they are unable to receive phone calls or texts by itself. Largely due to the criticism that Palm received for their advertising of the Pre phones, HP has stepped up their advertisement strategy. This new strategy includes the endorsement of the HP TouchPad by the British comedian, and actor Russell Brand.[6]

For the time being, the only phones that support the updated app are HTC Desire S, Sony Ericsson Xperia Neo, Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro and Google Nexus S.

If you have been waiting to get a sneak peek into the upcoming Windows Phone Mango-powered handsets, here's one.

German site HTCInside claims it has information about an upcoming HTC smartphone which could be the company's first to come with the latest version of Microsoft Windows Phone 7.1 codenamed Mango.

Microsoft had in May unveiled an update of its Windows phone software, hoping to bridge the widening gap in smartphone race dominated by Google and Apple.

The update will reportedly bring over 500 new features, including Internet Explorer 9 as the mobile browser, Twitter and LinkedIn feeds integrated into contact cards, automated Facebook check-ins, and access to more than 17,000 downloadable applications.
According to the report, the release of HTC Eternity will probably coincide with the launch of Windows Phone 7.1 Mango which is due for launch in September.

Sporting a large 4.7-inch Super LCD display with 480 x 800 resolution, HTC Eternity will reportedly come with a single-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm MSM8255processor.

Other key specs expected to come include an 8-megapixel camera with dual LED flash and 720p video capture, a 1.3-megapixel front-facing camera, up to 16GB internal memory, 512MB RAM and DLNA capabilities.

The smartphone is expected to feature GSM/GPRS/EDGE as well as UMTS/HSDPA (up to 14.4 Mbps)/HSUPA (up to 5.76 Mbps) as well as WiFi b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, a G-sensor, a digital compass and a gyroscope.

A few days earlier, we brought to you a post which confirmed the existence of the Nokia T7. The phone in the above picture is the T7.

From the pictures, the design of the T7 is very similar to the Nokia N8. It in fact seems to be a cheaper variant of the N8 and will most likely be a China only variant. The phone in the leaked picture seems to have a China Mobile branding.

The differences from the original N8 include:

8 Megapixel Camera with Dual-LED Flash (Not whether it has Autofocus or EDOF)
The raised camera module is now flush in the casing
microUSB Port Changes it’s Location from the Left to the Top and Replaces the HDMI port
The phone in the picture seems to be a Gold/Beige variant
The phone says SCDMA/GSM at the bottom so we cannot completely confirm that this is a China only variant. This might also however end up being a Chinese clone of the Nokia N8 especially since it saws T7 on the front and NSeries on the back.

The only thing that puts us in doubt is the China Mobile logo as Nokia usually release various China only mobile phones under their network. So the logo confusion could also be due to the fact that the device is a prototype. Let’s wait and see.

2011 Nokia 702T Phone specification and Price
Nokia has announced two Symbian^3 phones Nokia T7-00 and 702T for china. These are TD-SCDMA (Chinese version of W-CDMA) devices. The Nokia T7-00 looks similar to Nokia N8 but the hardware differs from it. The Nokia 702T is the Chinese variant of Nokia E6-00. The Nokia T7-00 leaked this march via OVI publishing tool.Unlike N8′s AMOLED display, the Nokia T7-00 comes with 3.5 inch (640 x 360 pixels) clear black display CBD and comes with 8MP EDoF camera with 720p video recording, Handwriting, QWERTY and ITU (12-key) text input. The outer body is made of aluminium and has an non removable battery, similar to N8.

The Nokia 702T is similar to that of E6 but it is a TD-SCDMA device. It has 2.46 inch (640 x 480 pixels) touch screen, QWERTY keypad with larger Ctrl and function buttons that allow easy switching between Chinese and English during text input. This phone also comes with 8MP EDoF camera with 720p video recording and made of stainless steel and hardened glass similar to E6.
The Nokia T7-00 comes in two colors, black champagne and metal, and Nokia 702T comes in, white and urban gray. These phone would be available in Q3 of 2011 and would ship with the Symbian Anna.

Specification of Samsung Conquer 4G

Samsung is hoping to conquer the mid-range Android smartphone segment, and the company has just announced the Android-powered Conquer 4G WiMax smartphone for Sprint. The more compact-size–and hopefully more affordable nature of the mid-range target–should position the Samsung handset competitively against the smaller HTC EVO Shift 4G, though the latter has a sliding keyboard.

The Samsung Conquer 4G will be the first time that 4G WiMax will be available outside of Sprint’s high-end smartphones. The device will come pre-loaded with Android 2.3 Gingerbread and will have a 3.5-inch HVGA display, a 3.2-megapixel rear camera and front-facing camera, and a 1 GHz Samsung Hummingbird CPU. As far as specs go, the one thing that is making this a mid-range, rather than high-end, device is the somewhat smaller HVGA screen resolution when high-end devices are normally either equipped with a WVGA resolution or qHD display for crisper rendering of text, graphics, and videos.

Pricing and availability information is still not known yet. Users who are interested in this handset will be happy to know that it will, for the most part, be a stock Android device with Sprint ID. Sprint ID is a customization option on the OS, much like how HTC skins its Android devices beautifully with HTC Sense, that allows users to easily customize their phones with ID packs that pre-bundle select lifestyle apps, ringtones, wallpapers, sounds, and more depending on the ID pack that you download.

Given that every major U.S. carrier is now targeting the high-end 4G market–T-Mobile, AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint–the Conquer 4G will give Sprint a way to not only differentiate itself and diversify its portfolio, but bring 4G access and data speeds to more people.
