If you just purchased a Golf Buddy hopefully my shipping department included a separate manual in English. I ordered a stockpile of the English written manuals so if you or someone you know needs one, please don’t hesitate to call us for one! And please don’t blame me when you call, I am a mere middle man. The Golf Buddy Tour, the color display unit, was launched with the appropriate English written manual, you’re in the clear!

Oh October

The season is starting to cool down for the majority of us golfers. Shorter, wetter, windier fall days cutting into what feels like a very short-lived season. Now, you may be basking in the LA sun right now, yes we’re jealous. But if you’re like us up here in rainy Seattle, WA or our friends in Portland, ME, we’ve already had to begin winterizing our golf bags. Here’s a few ideas to help you better prepare for next spring by staying warm and dry this fall.

Good thing I remember playing last October! Took me until about halfway through the month to get some glowballs, I estimate I lost about $45 in balls and 20 strokes getting to this revelation. Softer than a rock and brighter than a star in the midnight sky. They are a bit firm but who’s being picky when you’re still able to squeeze in a quick 9 after work. Great thing about these, the glow sticks are replaceable so I don’t end up spending a fortune feeding my addiction.

OK, ever wondered how we up here in Seattle can even flirt with the idea of playing in the rain? My secret lies in the all-weather gloves. As a self proclaimed die-hard, I go for the Foot Joy Rain-Grip Pair. The wetter they get the better you grip! Now I’ve had my club fly farther than my ball, it’s not so good, especially at company events. Every year we have a company wide Easter tournament. And every year it rains harder than the year before, like clockwork, no matter what course we play at. The brighter side is I’ve now had years of hands on research to where I can I undoubtedly proclaim that Nike Raingear is the only way to stay dry, warm and capable of movement. I spent a few years feeling like Randy from A Christmas Story, I don’t advise it.

My #1 rule for warmth, ride don’t walk. Riding in the cart allows for the trickiest of warming gadgets like a Coleman Cart Heater. This could be the best invention ever made! I just mount one on the dash of my cart, and wah la, heat! I won’t leave out other options, like toasty hand warmers! Just last winter I discovered these pouches of sunshine inside can go in my pocket, glove or shoe and cost me less than a buck! There are a lot of products out there to help prolong our season, I hope to see you out there.
