IN an totally unexpected move, Dutch model Lara Stone is suing French Playboy for publishing nude photos of her in their June 2010 issue without her permission.

Fair enough we say, we all have to protect our work. But for someone who has shown of her breasts, backside and, umm, nether regions in every high fashion magazine imaginable, is this purely an attempt at snobbery or a move to get paid for the pictures?

“Playboy had no right to publish these unauthorised photographs. It’s not the kind of publication I would ever choose to appear in. I feel I have no option but to take steps to protect my reputation,” said Lara to Britain’s Independent.

The newlywed model, who married British comedian David Walliams earlier this year, is pressing charges against both Playboy and photographer Greg Lotus who gave the magazine access to the images.

Beach Bum owner James Oliver, who pulled a similar stunt when Paris Hilton was throw behind bars, says the Lohan family has been tanning at the salon for more than a decade now.

Alex, who has just completed her 30-day jail sentence for burglarising Orlando Bloom’s home, said Lindsay was obviously shaken when she entered the Century Regional Detention Facility last week.

“Crying. She was crying,” described Alex in the interview. “I could hear her.”

Alex also recalls Lindsay’s first day.

“I could start hearing like what was going on in there, I tried to just, really just keep to myself and the last thing I really want to hear, you know, when you’re trying to be so strong and just get through the day. I mean, the days are so long in there, you’re woken up at 5:30,” she revealed.

“She was crying. She was talking to deputies and, you know, just trying to—I couldn’t really like make it out, but from what I saw the first day, I mean, she was lying in there and just trying to like calm down.”

Of course, that doesn’t mean Alex could actually get in contact with Lindsay while in protective custody—not that LiLo would want that seeing as Alex played a part in getting the actress’ house burgled as well. But the reality TV star said Lilo had her share of privileges.

“I mean, she got to keep her extensions in and everything, which most people don’t, and the girls were like, ‘Ah, they had to take my weave out and cut it all out and,’ you know, stuff like that.”

But apparently Lindsay had to give up her leggings after all.

“She had her head down when she walked by and she was in oranges, just like us.”

“I wish her the best, honestly, but you know, it’s all up to your mindset, and I don’t know what her mindset is in there. And I mean, from what I understand, she was having medical attention and she was just trying to get—I’m sure she was just trying to get through the days. I mean, it’s hard.”

The 43-year-old moved into their mobile home in Malibu temporarily while her home is being renovated, but says her sons—Brandon, 13, and Dylan, 11— love it and she is thinking about staying.

“It’s the most beautiful place, it’s where I take my motorcycle, my surf board. There are firemen with their children, surfers, all sorts.”

RAPPER and Haiti native Wyclef Jean is considering a run for president of his homeland!

His Yéle Haiti Foundation released a statement indicating the performer is seriously weighing a bid as support continues to grow around him. Wyclef has raised awareness of their country since the January earthquake and co-hosted the “Hope for Haiti Now” event that helped raise much-needed funds for the tiny nation.

“Wyclef’s commitment to his homeland and its youth is boundless, and he will remain its greatest supporter regardless of whether he is part of the government moving forward,” read the statement.

“At this time, Wyclef Jean has not announced his intent to run for Haitian president. If and when a decision is made, media will be alerted immediately.”

But a Canadian newspaper says a “source close to the government” revealed that Wycelf is simply waiting for the relevant paperwork to be processed.

Elections to replace current present Rene Praval are scheduled for November 28.

The President of the United States is set to make his first-ever daytime television appearance on July 29 while in office, joining the ladies of The View. He’s even managed to usher Barbara Walters, who is still recovering from heart valve replacement surgery, back into the studio for the day.

“We are so pleased and honoured that President Obama will be a guest on The View,” said Barbara. “The President last appeared on the program in March 2008 while he was still a senator, and First Lady Michelle Obama was a featured guest co-host in June 2008. This shows that both the President and First Lady feel that our show is an influential and important source of information and news.”

The interview is set to touch on topics such as the economy, the Gulf oil spill, jobs, and family life inside the White House.

DO Ellen, Kara and Randy need to go? Yes, they do, according to former American Idol executive producer Nigel Lythgoe.

Nigel left his post in 2008 to focus on So You Think you Can Dance but is poised to make a return to Idol in its hour of need as a fourth judge as execs struggle to find a replacement for Simon Cowell. But there’s also talk that he continues to champion an early idea to replace the current crop of judges totally.

“I think over the last couple of years, the show has been about the judges, whether it was Kara [DioGuardi] or Paula [Abdul] leaving or Ellen DeGeneres joining,” said Nigel to E! in April.

“It shouldn’t be about the judges,” he continued. “It should be about the young talent. And once we get that into focus, the show will be successful again.”

Among the (long) list of names of those being considered to replace Simon, Justin Timberlake and now Elton John have been added to the wish list, according to the Hollywood Reporter.

Nigel believes Elton is “capable of knowing what’s needed,” and has also praised Usher who he believes “knows exactly what’s going on in the moment”.

Chris Isaak, Bret Michaels and former guest mentor Harry Connick Jr have also been mentioned as possible candidates.

This time, he gets to feel the wind in his floppy hair as he moseys around Los Angeles in a flashy white Lamborghini, bestowed upon him by none other than hip-hop mogul Sean “P. Diddy” Combs.

According to The Boombox, Justin was spotted pulling up to popular frozen yoghurt spot Pinkberry’s in Diddy’s Lamborghini Spyder—with pal Sean Kingston in the passenger seat—just hours before he was due to play at the Nokia Theatre on Tuesday.

Before he turned 16 in March this year, Justin had told People magazine that Diddy offered him the car for his birthday but that he didn’t expect the rapper to go through with the deal.

“He said when I turn 16 he was going to give me his Lamborghini, ” said Justin, “But we all know Diddy’s not gonna give me his Lamborghini. He’s all talk.”

“Jared was hit several times during the first two songs. On the third song, when he was hit in the cheek and some of it landed near his mouth, they couldn’t deal with it any longer,” read the statement.

“It’s not only disgusting—it’s a toxic hazard.”

Jared, who is a self-confessed germophobe, added, “I was hit by pigeons on each of the first three songs. We had 20 songs on the set list. By the end of the show, I would have been covered from head to toe.”

“The last thing I was going to do was look up, but if that was only a couple, we must have caught them right after a big Thanksgiving dinner,” he joked.

Drummer and brother Nathan tweeted: “So sorry St Louis. We had to bail, pigeons sh*tting in Jared’s mouth and it was too unsanitary to continue.”

“FULL REFUNDS 4 ALL. SO SORRY. Don’t take it out on Jared, it’s the f**king venue’s fault. You may enjoy being sh*t on but we don;t. Sorry for all who traveled many miles.”

Fingers are being pointed at the venue managers despite the fact they were warned of the bird infestation that have caused problems over the years in summer. The boys promised to return to St Louis after their tour of the US.

During an interview with Ryan Seacrest in his KIIS FM rasdio show, Kim said: “Let’s just say Mason is the best birth control ever! I am definitely happy to wait a few years.”

When asked if another sequel was in the works, Kristin David told E! Online: “I don’t think so, not that I know of. I wish it was so that we were continuing but I don’t know.”

Why? Well it seems the second movie didn’t do as well as movie execs had hopes in the box office this year.

“We made 300 million internationally. There was so much hype, not coming from us, but the media hyped it up and then they tore it down,” added Kristin.

“Obviously there was a time when we thought there was no movie happening so you never know…But it is not looking great.”

A fellow inmate, who was recently released, spilled the beans on the situation to PerezHilton.com, describing how other prisoners were calling LiLo “firecrotch” at night, causing her to cry out loud and annoy those around her.

“Lindsay would lie there shivering all night, crying and covering her face with her hands. Her wailing was keeping everyone awake…she had a hysterical fit, crying and yelling, so she got put in isolation.”

Lindsay’s lawyer (or ex-lawyer?) Shawn Chapman Holley says otherwise, telling reporters the 24-year-old actress has made friends in the Century Regional Detention Facility and that the staff also treat her with respect.

“She’s good. She’s doing better everyday,” said Holley.

Mum Dina and sister Ali visited the troubled star on Wednesday, and ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson visited her the next day. The DJ spent an hour inside the Lynwood facility and was hostile to reporters at her departure. When asked how Lindsay was doing, Samantha responded: “How do you think she’s doing? What a stupid f**king question.”

The prison normally only allows visits from friends and family members on weekends but have made an exception in Lindsay’s case for security reasons.

Lindsay is expected to serve approximately two weeks of her 90-day sentence and is likely to leave on August 1 or 2. Within 24 hours of her release, she is required to check into a rehabilitation centre for another 90 days.

“My music reflects my style because my music reflects me and so does my music. “I don’t use a specific brand. I use whatever black eyeshadow and black eyeliner and whatever I can find in my closet that isn’t empty — or my makeup case — that isn’t empty now, and I just charcoal it on. When I go into a store, I just go, ‘What’s the blackest eyeshadow and eyeliner you have?’ And whatever that is, I buy it at the time.”

The British models have apparently teamed up to diss the “Telephone” singer after being told they had to share their joint cover for i-D magazine with Gaga.

Naomi and Kate were all set to partner up for the shoot, but later demanded separate cover shoots when they found out the editor had added Gaga into the mix at the last minute.

In the model duo’s defence, Gaga isn’t exactly known for subtlety so it might be best for the threesome, lest we hear of yet another left hook thrown by drama queen Naomi!

Her Madgesty is apparently “furious” about being issued the official warning, which came after angry neighbours complained to Westminster Council.

A friend said: “Madonna likes a good party like anyone else but she is respectful of her neighbours and doesn’t like to upset anyone. She was absolutely furious when she found out.”

Police reportedly arrived at her residence shortly after 2pm on Sunday afternoon, speaking to the partygoers through the intercom to request that they reduce their noise levels. A notice was issued on the spot and the noise immediately ceased.
