Top level domains – in order to make things simpler, we will explain top level domains by providing examples. For instance, yahoo.com and wikipedia.org are top level domains. It is easy to see that this type of domain name comes with one suffix after the name. Without any doubt, .com is by far the most used top level domain today. As you probably know, .com stands for commercial, but today different type of organizations and individuals use .com domains.
