Although I hate buying Blu-ray DVD's I do but I don't always. Sometimes I just watch TV which alone is clear as day. The TV is good on picture quality and audio but I don’t think it would be anything without HD programming. I have saved money buying a Philips and having DISH Network service. I have HD Free for Life and I'm thankful I don't have to pay for it like I would if I have DIRECTV's lower packages. The sound will not get that loud but is satisfactory at most volumes. The Samsung LN32A450 is a step up from the LN32A330, with a third HDMI input and an increased contrast ratio from 8,000:1 to 10,0000:1. The price increases accordingly but many stores have the street price of the LNA450 at or below the price of the LNA330. Not sure why but they do. Pros Great Picture Easy to access controls on the side Stylish Modern Look Cons Sound is not the best, but standard for 32" TVs with builtin speakers. The LCD TV has a nice clean design, exactly what you would expect from sony. On the side of the TV you have easy to access standard Audio Video inputs, which makes it easier to hook up a new device. The sound could be a little better but is the norm for 32" TV's with build in speakers. If high quality sound is important then it will be worth getting some external speakers to use. Another minor point is the controls are on top, not really that big of a deal but if you were to mount the TV on a wall, you need to be able to reach the top of the TV to turn off the TV without the use of the remote. Conclusion The Sony KDL32M4000 is a great Sony LCD TV, nice picture, adequate speakers, with the great Sony reputation.
