Dog's Eye View on important Conversations

Conversations I've noticed that impact LearnDog and our community building efforts. There are several, will only address one today - based on a podcast from NetSquared where Mena Trott (Six Apart) talks with Marnie Webb.

Mena Trott at NetSquared

You can get the full podcast:
Net Tuesday 2/15: Mena Trott of Six Apart, Interview (Interview with Mena Trott, president and co-founder of Six Apart, about how blogging is evolving ... (16 days ago))

I interrupt and talk all over the conversation about - not having to be a citizen journalist, the magic number 'six' in typepad, small groups aggregating around a cause, and other thoughts on building networks of networks.

Dave Slusher - EvilGeniusChronicles

Next, I replay a piece from the 'Asynchronous (Space Telephone) conversation' Dave Slusher and I had, where he talks about Buckminster Fuller Geodesic Domes. I suggest there is some wisdom in thinking about how to structure networks of networks according to shape.

Conclusion

Lets try to get some more conversation going about these important concepts. LearnDog has to figure this stuff out to change the world - our learnings will probably be useful to other social activists. If you have iTunes or an iPod there is an enhanced version of this podcast with some helpful images and navigation built in:

WOW - three answers to the Space Phone all happened in the same week. This show plays em all and talks about the experience (which was very rewarding may I say)

Dave Slusher rewards my patience

Remember we tried to call Dave Slusher (the Evil Genius) on the 'space telephone' a couple of shows back. Dave responds to my comments on deeper connections through audio than by skimming blog text.

Brits or Aussies prounounce it TWOT not TWAT

YEP - connections are important to all of us.

I feel much more deeply connected to Dave Slusher than I did before. This is as a result of our connection to Cam from Gday world. Now David 'LifeKludger' Wallace is connected to all of us. How GEODESIC is that!

Cameron Reilly rants on Gday World

My immediate response was lets start the LearnDog LifeHack show on TPN right now.

The next morning I thought - LearnDog needs to help out with hosting / production of the TPN LifeHack show

On reflection, we need to recruit a young show host and let them decide what its called an how it works. Dave 'LifeKludger' Wallace has some strong feelings about what the show and Cam's 'Forgotten Army' should address. LearnDog will support the host, appear on the show and look for opportunities to steer conversations that will help kids form networks for recognition.

Dave 'LifeKludger' Wallace mash-up

In response to Cam's rant mentioned above, Dave makes a little mash-up that reminds us all to remember the disabled. The too often forgotten part of the forgotten army!
