Well, to make it easier for all of us, here are the further instructions if you plan to have your passport processed by us.

A. PRE-PROCESSING

1. Once you have decided to avail of our service and has filled out the application form, give us a call or send us an SMS at 09397938164 to confirm your schedule of appearance.

2. After confirming your slot, you may now send us your requirements immediately so we can verify if your documents would pass the requirements of DFA. If your plan is to have your appearance at Manila, you may send them via LBC and address to Ms. Blessing Faith Manuel. If you want to have your appearance at DFA Lucena, send them to LBC Rosario Branch (for pick-up) and address to Ms. Karen Crisaliz Manebo. For more information on the requirements, click here.

3. Kindly send us your payment too. Click here for our rates. This is so we can reserve the slot for you. You may send your payment via Bank Transfer. Here are our payment details:

(transaction fee: free if deposit is made in metro manila, P50 if deposit is made in other Philippine areas)

Bank: BDO – Banco de Oro

Branch: Timog Rotonda, Quezon City

Acct. Number: 1620105398

Acct. Name: Agencia Le Travelistas

Currency for Account: Philippine Peso

As soon as you have deposited your payment, let us know so we can verify it.

4. If your documents have no problem, you can now sit back and relax and wait for the day of your appearance.

B. DFA APPEARANCE

Okay, so your most awaited date has arrived. Here are the thing s that you need to do.

Please DO NOT ever forget the original copies of the documents you submitted to us. A lot of people get too much excited about their appearance that they tend to forget their requirements. Please note that even if you have submitted your requirements to us, DFA personnel will still look for your original copies. So prior to the day of your appearance pack your documents in your bag.

Dress code: Please wear a top with collar. No slippers are allowed.

If you are going to have your appearance at DFA Manila, please be at the DFA Building, located at the corner of Bradco and Macapagal Avenues, Aseana Business Park (near SM Mall of Asia) on time.

If you are going to have your appearance at DFA Lucena, here are 2 options:

1. We have a service van so if you are coming from Lipa or Batangas and nearby areas, you can avail of the transfers (already included in the cost). The van will be leaving at around 8:30 am so be at the meeting place before that time. We shall be informing you the meeting place and the contact number of our liaison officer prior to you appearance.

2. If you are coming from Manila, please be at the DFA Lucena office (3rd Floor, Pacific Mall, M.L. Tagarao St., Barangay III, Lucena City) at around 11 am. We will be sending you the name and contact number of our liaison officer on that day prior to your schedule of appearance.

C. AFTER THE DFA APPEARANCE

If there were no problems with your requirements, you can now sit back and relax and wait until the release of your passport. 13 working days after your personal appearance, your passport shall be released by DFA Lucena. If you need it badly, you can meet our Liaison officer by then at DFA Lucena and get your passport personally. If not, we can just send it via LBC and you shall get it right at your doorsteps after 15 working days from the day of your appearance. Just let us know initially of your choice of delivery so we can add that to the cost.

That is all. Happy trip then!!!

photo taken by Mr. Eric Caranto

Zoobic Safari is the ONLY Tiger Safari in the Philippines. Located in Subic Bay Freeport Zone (the former American Naval Base), it boasts of 11 unique attractions guaranteed to make one’s visit a most thrilling and memorable one. A member of the Residence Inn Group, it started its operations in January, 2004 and since then it has become one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country. Zoobic Safari is located in the heart of a 50-hectare heavily forested area called Ilanin Forest. Because of its location, the animals are viewed in a jungle setting that makes one’s visit an adventure in a nature park. Please do not expect a traditional zoo setup where you passively view the animals in their cages. Be prepared for an interactive experience with the tigers, crocodiles, the ostriches, the bearcats, or even the baby goats and sheeps. Because you will not be able to pass up the rare chance to actually feed them or to observe them up close! (from http://www.zoobic.com.ph/)

Malalison Island is a breath taking (Watch the video to know what I meant by breath taking…haha) island with white sand, corals and schools of fish pass here (watch the video), village, hills, etc.

It is located in Culasi, Antique, Philippines. To be more specific, Antique is part of the Panay Islands in Visayas, wherein Culasi is one hour away from boracay island by land.

It may be written as Malalison, but it is pronounced as Ma-ra-ri-sn Island.

To give you a heads up, we have prepared a video for you The first part features tibiao fish spa, and then, the second part features malalison island.

The island can be accessed by a small pump boat (or a raft or canoe on a nice sunny day); from Culasi, the boat ride will only take around 15 minutes.

view of malalison island from culasi's main land

I thought it is was a typical island just like of the islands of hundred Islands in Pangasinan, but Malalison gave me a different Island experience. When the boat was nearing the island, the water was amazingly crystal clear, I could see the corals, the fish, the starfishes, but, sadly, some parts seemed to be dead reefs already. I wanted to jump out of the boat but I did not bring my snorkels and life vest.

amazingly clear water

So we went down at the back of the island. Because they said there was a cave and a short trail to have a better view from the top. The cave was already closed, and sadly, there was too much vandals on the cave entrance. Since the island was still undeveloped, we somehow managed to find a trail (they said, there was a wider trail years back) to go to the top of the island to have a glimpse of the top view. Reaching the top of the island, we got to see the following:

1. There was a cove with white sand at the back of the island.

2. AXL Rose climbed Malalison Island as well?

AXL!!!

3. Mini-chocolate hills, antique version. [I have never actually seen the Bohol chocolate hills but this scenery somehow looked the same as those in pictures.]

4. The majestic Madia-as Mountain and the clear sea. The Madia-as Mountain Ridge divides the Panay Island from Aklan to Iloilo. They say it is a nice place for Mountain Climbing. The term Madia-as, as they say, is a term coined from the Madiapajit Empire.

5. Pitcher plants naturally scattered around the mountain top.

me and the pitcher plants

6. The village’s elementary School. [When we went down we saw the old elementary school near the sea...but the foundation was being eaten up by the sea already so the building was not usable anymore, so they transferred the elementary school on the mountain top...im thinking this can also be a good evacuation center if anything happend...]

kids from the elementary school

After the 45 minutes (or more) walk, after seeing all the breath-taking (breath taking defined as one wrong step and your breath will be taken away..hehe… and breath taking defined as AWESOME!!! view that can make you fall in love) scenery, I was excited to go down to feel the beach and feel the white sand on my bare feet.

The experience going the mountain was the same as feeling I felt when I came down Mt. Pondaquit and finally reaching Anawangin Cove. The difference is that the trail was shorter, the view was nicer, the grass was shorter, and the beach was far nicer because of the white beach and the corals. It was all worth it…too bad I did not bring my snorkels when I went.

My advice… when you intend to have a feel of the mountain-top breath-taking view, wear pants and arm-velope on top of your swim suit.

As a traveller, on the other hand, I was somehow down-hearted because even if the place was UBER nice…the locals dint really take much time to take care of the place and make a tourism-living out of it. I just hope the beauty of the place will be preserved for the next generation to see.

Watch out for our Malalison Island Packages in the future.

Funny Batangueño Quotes

For those who do not know yet, Agencia Le Travelistas is registered here in Batangas. Well, I am not going to talk about the company in this post but about Batangas. Batangas is around 2 hrs away from Manila and can be reached by either a bus or a private car. It is famous not only for the beautiful beaches and diving spots but also for “Kapeng Barako”, “Balisong”, Lomi and for the famous expressions- “Ala eh!” and “ga”.

My friends back then in college used to have fun on my words and my accent but later on, they learned to get adopted to it. But as me and my sisters were pondering about our “native language”, we realized that there are really some words that seem to be wrong and if you are a stranger to that language, you would think that the person using those words funny or worst, crazy. Well, I am not writing this to degrade my own language. Don’t get me wrong. I love my language and I am proud to be born Batangueña. Anyways, here are some lines. To our foreign readers, I apologize if you will not be able to understand some words. But if you get interested with Batangas, you can just contact us. Okay, back to the main point.

“Isang bangkay natagpuang patay!” (Kaya nga bangkay na e, that means patay na. Peace!)

“Nakain ka na ga ng isda?” (This is scary, that means, were you eaten by the fish?)

“Saraduhan mo ang pinto at lalabas ang aircon” (Another funny line)

“Bili na po kayo ng gamot na are at lahat ng sakit ay dala” (Again, that’s scary! Who would buy a medicine that carries all kinds of sickness?)

“Pahidan mo yang bata ng dumi.” (That means you have just asked that person to put dirt on that child!)

“Ay labas na kayo at kakain.” (This is mostly used during fiesta. You’re already inside the house and the host would urge you to go out of the house to eat? By the way, Batangueños are also one of the most hospitable people. They would really go out of their way to make their guests feel comfortable.)

“May dala ka gang sasakyan?” (Who am I? Atlas? Am I that strong to carry a vehicle?)

“Ay si Jovit Baldivino ga ay nalabas pa sa tv?” (Again, this one is funny)

“Buksan mo nga yang TV.” (Huh? What am I? a technician?)

Ok. You might be thinking that I am starting to get rude here. No! If you would just take time to understand our Batangueño language, you will surely love the place and its people.

Here are some photos taken in different places in Batangas.
