I had to share a couple photos from Morgan, Andy and Sophia’s shoot. They wanted awkward family photos, and chose to mimic the amazingness that is Wes Anderson’s The Royal Tenenbaum’s family dynamic. Gets my vote, for sure. Big time.

Hi friends. So, due to unforeseen circumstances we have to leave our charming industrial studio here at 1136 SE Grand. The good news is that we're hitching a ride with Studio Olivine on over to a new and even more charming space a few blocks from where we are now. As of the beginning of February, Leah Verwey Photo will be at 727 SE Morrison St by appointment. Exciting stuff over here, exciting stuff. And with that, I leave a farewell to the current studio in the form of my ~~husband's~~ niece's favorite song.

I got lucky and got to go hang out with Meghan and Dave and little babe Julien while they picked out their Christmas tree. It was nice here in Portland, so we decided to go for a walk around Alberta St, and then ended with a beer at the lovely Barista. What a day, what a day. Thanks for hanging with me, guys. • And on that note, I'm off for a little holiday hiatus. Merry holiday to all of you, and thanks for an absolutely superb 2011. See you in 2012. Twenty twelve?
