I learned that blogging everyday is hard work. I learned that I must do my blog post first, otherwise I get distracted by other tasks that come up. Will I continue to blog everyday? So quite naturally I’ll ask them for links to prove or validate what they have said. Too often they will respond with, “Google it.”. I’m always amazed when people do that. That is such an inappropriate response. Here’s why. When someone is asking you for links to back up what you are saying, you get the opportunity to show off your expertise. Of course I can look anything up on Google that I want to. However, if you are claiming to be an expert at XYZ, you should be able to provide me with proof to back up what you are saying, especially if it is different from what trusted sources are saying. Never pass up an opportunity to show your social media network that you are the real McCoy.

I was reminded about how important this was last week. I participated in the first hundred articles challenge on ezine articles and was unsuccessful the first time I tried. I succeeded in completing the challenge the second time I participated. That perseverance has resulted in [...] Perseverance is something that a lot of people talk about. I was reminded about how important this was last week. I participated in the first hundred articles challenge on ezine articles and was unsuccessful the first time I tried. I succeeded in completing the challenge the second time I participated. That perseverance has resulted in paid freelance opportunities because whenever anyone wants to see a writing sample, I just point them to the articles that I’ve previously published on ezinearticles. I would not have that body of work if I didn’t stick to my guns and complete the goal that I set out to do. I will admit that I have gotten off schedule in my quest to post every day this month. I had a busier than normal weekend last weekend, but that did not stop me from posting today. I just have to remember to post my weekend posts in advance. Moral of this story: Keep going even when things don’t go exactly as you have planned.
