-Your jewelry for Bella Argentina is beautiful. How did you get your start?
Expressing myself creatively has always been a necessity.  From a young age, I have kept a journal and written stories and poetry.  Fashion and accessories first captured my attention in high school, when I attended a fashion illustration college prep course at the Chicago Institute of Art.  From management at Gap, to marketing consulting for designers, now I am working with Argentine artisans to share the beauty of one of the world’s most romantic countries.

-What attracts you to accessories?
We love that which makes us feel more gorgeous.  Jewelry, specifically, helps us set ourselves apart as individuals, enhance our appearance, and tap into a part of ourselves we wish to be.  When I design jewelry for Bella Argentina, I tap into the graceful, exotic extension of the self with whom so many women indentify and wish to accentuate.

-Why Argentina?
Argentina is amazing.  I traveled to Argentina to study with an Argentine purse company as part of my MBA program at Thunderbird School of Global Management.  In Buenos Aires, I fell in love with the beauty of the country, the warmth of the people, and the dynamic nature of the Argentine design industry.  The designers I worked with and the friends I met inspired me to pursue my dreams… and from a course project, Bella Argentina was born.

-How is your jewelry produced?
Through my experiences on the ground in Argentina, I have established relationships with a number of incredibly talented artisans.  These individuals are able to bring life to my designs by handcrafting each piece in sterling silver.

-Who is the ideal customer for your jewelry?

Bella Argentina is making more connections with talented artisans in Argentina, which will enable us to serve more jewelry lovers globally.  We’re also expanding our online presence, and as a result, we hope to achieve fair trade certification in the future.  And design-wise, I am experimenting with new gemstones that are rare in the US market.
