I got a 2 week free pass to CORE Fitness (thanks to BREEZE 1st anniversary party). I started my gym practicce once more... BUT THIS TIME, to KEEP myself longer in gym, I bought myself...

Yup Weight gainer from GNC, with money spent this way... You're gonna feel bad not attending gym since $ was spent. After my 2 weeks free gym in CORE & taking the weight gain powder (of course plus a good diet / rest) I gained 4 kgs in 14 days! :D

Now I have signed myself in for the 3 months program! Bought another multi-vitamin and might upgrade to Whey Protein soon (The weight gainer habis sudah... 1 month minum like mad)! :p

I'm goin back to my old prime... and aim to be gain more bulk! I got 8 more kgs to go! >:D

KK Jazz is coming peeps! Will tell ye guys more about it! :D

Went out with my other work mates during the RM2 Sushi Bonanza.

Some times, it's good to take some social time with "Team" to bond. :D ... ... ... and eat sushi! XD

Still engage with the "Hari Keluarga" (Family Day) project...

Fara & I have been very "productive"... We been working "very hard" every night that we finally get to see "the fruits of our labor"...

Fara & I have been assigned with collecting "Family photos" for The Ministry of Consumers & Internal Affair's "Family Day" campaign. The campaign aims to encourage families to spend more time together, learn to nurture family values, say NO to domestic violence & ... in a "nicer way" of encouraging the society to:

Oh my god... so how is everybody?

Been very busy with Silverhand ... ... ... (some one thought I pick that name to prove that I wank myself too much) XD

So I got a letter that said I got accepted by Sabah VFM as a part-timer... and that I had to report myself during 1st of April ... ... ... I was thinking they better not punk me man... but luckily it was REAL. XD
A reporter called me up to ask me about "The Sabah Association" issue, which I gladly gave my opinion... dont know when the article will be out & am not sure what to expect from this...

The past few weeks, my night session were pretty much either working or meeting up friends. You can read most of them in BB's blog: Like how we celebrated Earth Hour & went to BREEZE 1st ann or how we were enjoying a poker night & how... I failed to punk her twice during April Fools... :p

(Yes, she has become my "blogging secretary" LOL...)

Anyway Im goin to get some Zzz... been missing that alot recently :p

And so I have finally fallen sick...

The unpredictable "Kate Perry" weather here in KK has finally got me...

Anyway Today at 8:30pm we will be experiencing Earth Hour...

In what started out by the Australians two years ago has now infected everyone else in the world.

So what is "Earth Hour"?

Earth Hour is an international event organised by the WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature/World Wildlife Fund), and held on the last Saturday of March each year, which asks households and businesses to turn off their non-essential lights and electrical appliances for one hour to raise awareness towards the need to take action on climate change. Earth hour was conceived by WWF Australia and the Sydney Morning Herald in 2007, when 2.2 million residents of Sydney participated by turning off all non-essential lights.^[1] Following Sydney's lead, many other cities around the world adopted the event in 2008. ^[2]^[3]

Earth Hour will next take place on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at 8:30 pm, local time.

This year, certain areas like the CUBE restaurant & even the Waterfront will be experiencing the Earth Hour by turning off their lights for 1 hour too.

Even National Geography will suspend all programme for 1 hour for Earth Hour.

At 81lions, we too will turn off our lights...

We will switch off all lights at home...

We will turn off the monitor lights while blogging...

We will switch off all lights from our handphone...

We will switch off all lights while driving too... XD

This year the theme of Earth Hour is "Vote for Earth" by switching off your lights. To help save the earth in "every little difference ", I say we should follow this cause. :)

We can see especially these couple of days in KK, how the crazy weather has shown us that the environment & global warming is as REAL AS IT GETS... Im not a very "green" person, but I do believe in doing what small part on my part if I can. So let's VOTE for earth...

Switch off your lights for ust 1 hour during Earth Hour. :)

A friend touched down to KK after so many years and we manage to catch up abit...

Now being 2 "dudes" in a Cafe... we were ofcourse checking our chicks 1s in a while...

Now the funny topic suddenly jumped in:

My friend (for the sake of his safety, best remain anonymous in case some girls here know him and would cut up his favourite appendages) asked me:"Why so many Sabahan women got moustache ah?"

... ... ... ... Honestly it is not an observation I do often so I started to look out and around from my seat...

So far so good... Then the waitress came...

OMG!!! He is right!

Now that he put it that way... yeah! alot of the women in Sabah especially the waitress I notice has got "grey patches" between their nose and upper lips!!!

Now Im not here to make fun and laugh about something we have no control of... (i mean its the hormone...). But ok-lah~ i do feel a tiiiiiiiiny "bit" of pitty for women who suffer this problem.

I guess you can check the internet for a solution... most people say "dont shave or they will grow thicker"...(dont know how true is that myth there)... that women should wax their moustache.

I suggest blow torch... this will sure kill any unwanted hair! ... ... ... o.o ... erm... Im just kidding yo.

I will never look at goaty the same ever again... XD

The last week was not kind to me:

The internet "choose" to be online in the morning while Im busy working and meeting people, but "choose" to offline at night when Im back and wants to blog... :(
My home com had a minor explosion...

My com blew up... and I dont know if it's the wire or due to overheat ><"... Which made going online EVEN more harder to do... ... ... *sigh*

The weather has been unkind as well... choosing to heat things up in the morning but pour cats and dogs at night!!! OMG!!! >.<"
Another bad news was I learned that 1 friend is fighting for her life against cancer... but Im sure she will do well. God bless her and she will over come this!
Meanwhile, another friend has sadly passed due to lung cancer... ... ... God bless his soul.

Despite some bad mojo of the week, I did however had alot of fun too...

I actually spent more time watching movie with BB this week... Some were DAMN GOOD...

SOME WERE DAMN BAD...

Went for the UMS Japanese Cultural Night. They had a nice Bon-Odori themed dance (despite the rain, the event manage to go on).

Went to the IPEX at Sabah Trade Centre... wanted to see the edible architecture competition but it wasnt open to public till 4pm... which Fara & i couldnt stay so long for.

attended this talk called: "The Midas Touch" at CUBE Restaurant & Wine Lounge. This was a motivational talk which had some great sharing and gave me a new way of reflecting on myself. A big thank you to Mei Wong for organising this talk! :D

I was happy to see that those who submitted in to our silverhand artist and photographer section has been featured in BREEZE magazine! This proves we at silverhand are seriously at trying to help push our local talents to be featured and recognised! :D

Amber's art submittion called: "Blossom of the Season". It looks so much better in print I tell you! ;)

Bubbleberry's Sipitang Temple shot which got featured big time in the photo section of BREEZE magazine! Note Jacq's is also the next blogger featured in the "Bloggers of the East" Section. ^^

The other day I was watching a DVD of 300:

& was having a "Spartan-gasm" when dad stepped into the room.

Obviously my dad doesnt watch alot of movie lately... ... ... ... hmmm... come to think of it... the last movie we watched together was "The Last Samurai"... O.O ... That's like 2003!!! 6 years we havent watch movie together!!!

Back then they still havent tried all that "color tint" effect... ... ... I think Matrix was 1 of the 1st movie to go all out on that.

Dad's lack of exposure to the new trends kinda remind me the other time (about 5-6 years ago) where I was watching a borrowed CD of SOUTH PARK at home...

But you know what? I dont blame him for being "out of touch"... I mean as we become busier with life and reality... we just dont even have the time to sit down & watch TV... (like how I only watch TV 1s in a week now coz I would be doin something else).

And when we DO turn on the TV, something totally new might be considered" in-trend" that to us who has been "out of touch" looks stupid...

Yeah I think they are stupid... unlike Sesame Street that teaches you something... This show will make you kids stupid...

The same goes how I feel about our old cartoons... Ye know back in the days of "Visionaries", "Transformers", "StarCom", Brave Star", "Mask", "Thunder Cats", "Ninja Turtles", "Saber Riders", "Bionic Six", "Ghost Busters" and etc...

Now? "Spunge Bob KOTAK pants" is consider a good cartoon??? ??? ??? Almost half the "Nicho-rodent" cartoon were rediculous!!! But I guess Im complaining based on the comparison to what I considered good in my time...

Well honestly, I dont think I really need to say but incase you havent noticed... I have been very busy.
My internet at home has been down for almost 1 whole week and I got fed up fixing the problem... grrrrrrrrrr... 666... 666... 666......

Went to the Borneo Marathon Press Conference at Coffee Bean Wisma Merdeka! The organisers were giving us a brief run down on what to expect for this year's Borneo Marathon (incase you have no idea what this event is about, feel free to check here!) I will update more infos in the future when the need arises.

I have recently started reading Niccolò Machiavelli's "The Prince" and the book has got me hooked!!! The book is a (I would say) "Empowering book", is short and easy, with red text on some sections to act as easy notes (no this book is not like "The Secret" kinda book). For people in the management level especially politics, I highly recommend this book! >:D

Im sure alot of people knew about paintball and had that "wouldnt it be great if we had it here in KK?" talk... NOW? It's everywhere. What stopped alot of people was the right attitude, finance, technical execution and support.

But KK is still new to alot of "new*" ideas, so be a pioneer and do something you think that can be done. KK City Beat-em-up Arcade Turney? KK Survivor Reality Challenge? A KK online game company? KK Drift Competition? Atleast it's all still new in KK.

It has been 1 of the busiest week... Every night was a meeting with a media man or a client.

We been working hard every night meeting new people & "satisfying" clients.

Every night (or morning) as I reach home, I though of blogging but with the stupid connection (yes! It's that time again folks!) I dont get to enjoy that luxury... *sigh*... sometimes it's due to the fact I gotta wake up DAMN early the next day ><"

The latest project Fara & I have taken up is the designing for The Roof Restaurant's promo items and menu. Given that Dino has a target of 6 weeks for a whole revamp of his restaurant, we too want to make this vision possible. ... ... ... we been working around the clock for the past few days and nights...

Work aside... I have also developed a new addiction (hey~ u gonna need a hobby while you can't blog right). READING BOOKS...

O please get this book man... It's pretty "amusing".

Did you know? The 1st politian to sware the "F" word in parliment was a Sabahan? Mr. Bung! Go figure. kof kof...

A Taoist Funeral.

I began my February with bad news about my grandpa's passing.

I flew back as soon as possible and when touched down in LCCT was picked up by my mom to go to Seremban. From what mom told me: Grandpa never really followed any religion but lived his life as a good man. That being said, the other members of my mom's family are Buddhist (while my mom was the only Christians).

But strangely my grandma said that grandpa was Taoist... so a Taoist funeral was required.

Now... ... ... I have never attended a Taoist funeral before. I only saw bits and pieces of Taoist funeral practice from Hong Kong movies and drama series... (in fact the one I attended was in a sense a "shortened" version from a proper Taoist funeral... but I wouldnt know for sure...)

I wont go through all the practice but here are just some of the practices I remember:

The children of the dead were to wear white, while the grand children were to wear blue (green for the great grand children).

For a moment there I looked like a smurf... Oh yeah, we had to sow a red cloth on our left sleeve (i think it symbolises the passing of a relative & by proper rites, we're suppose to wear it for 49 days? Im not sure)

When a person pass on, he is treated as having moved to another world & family can "pass gifts" to that person by burning off paper items to him. It is common to burn paper house, paper servants & paper gold / money to represent giving the dead some "luxury" in his life on the other side ...

I can't help but think to myself that the paper house reminds me of Disney Land... (I meant no disrespect)

What I founded interesting is that now... there are more things to burn... Like burning a "Gold" mountain & "Silver" mountain. I dont know what it represent but I guess it's cool too be living near 2 metallic mountains?

The Nestle Road Show at Citymall on Vday!

There was a Nestle Road Show held in Citymall last Friday till Sunday. Saturday? meaning it would clash with Valentines Day (the sad sad staff at work... or maybe they went to hire all the single people... LOL!!!)

But keeping that the event would still be around on Valentines in my book... I knew for sure that there will be sampling of food & drinks! Thus I brought BB with me to the roadshow to save money for breakfast! Wahahahahahaha!!! (eh~ you gotta admit it was a brilliant plan) XD

It was a fun learning experience about Nestle products, getting freebies in the end & getting a breakfast: FOR FREE!!! Wahahahahaha!!! XD
