Great Songwriters Looking For Keyboarder

We are looking to form a new band. Currently we consist of two individuals (x2 guitars and vocals) who have played together in the past. We are highly dedicated, organised and talented and want to get back out on the gig circuit in and around Leeds. Although we have some songs prepared, our focus will be to unite with others to create new songs.

Our preferred genre is a mix of metal crossed with 'powerful' melodic vocals. However, we do not shy away from heavy riffs and vocals. Strong influences for both current members are bands like Muse, Killswitch Engage and Fighstar.

We are looking for a bassist, drummer and possibly a keyboarder. Anyone who can provide heavy backing vocals and/or harmonies will be of particular interest.

Some of our older material can be found on Myspace or Facebook or on direct request.

Of utmost importance is that band members are organised and punctual. We want to be practicing once a week at a set time.

M/f Singers Or Rappers Wanted For Xfactor Group!

I am forming a group to audition for the Xfactor 2010 and am looking for someone or maybe a couple of people who live in the Leeds area to come on board. So far in the band are two female vocalists (myself being one), one with a classic 'jazz' style voice and the other a little more 'indie' style. We want the group to have the feel of 'The Noisettes' or even 'Black Eyed Peas' in the way that each group member is an individual but together they make something really special. We are completely open to any applicants if you are interested and will consider any age and vocal style-even rappers and beatboxers. The band should feel like a "collective" of people with different skills and interests who have somehow come together. Applicants must have an interesting look, you don't have to be a supermodel but we'd love you to have something special (even slightly weird!) about you. If you're interested and can devote a little time each week to rehearsals please send us a little bit about yourself, a photo and if possible an example of your voice/flows-no matter how roughly recorded it is. We've got a Hammond and a Farfisa and a bus to cart it all around, just need someone to come in and play the darn things.
