These pre wedding meetings are there to understand the timings of the day, for me to get a a feeling of what type of day the couple are planning for their wedding celebration.
The pre wedding meeting is also for them to learn a little more about how I work and what kind of personality I have, and equally for me to learn about what makes them tick!
On this occasion it seems we are equally twisted in our sense of humour, as we spent about an hour laughing away at anything we could think of.
Hellidon lakes has a full size ten pin bowling ally, which should make some interesting wedding images, how on earth am I going to create a styled wedding image in there, well ill certainly try!
After a details were taken, and drinks were, well drank! we headed outside for a few images around the grounds, this wedding will be chilled , relaxed and thoroughly enjoyed!

I do these kinds of Pre wedding photo shoots as a way of warming everyone up, so that when their wedding day arrives the photography is not even thought about on their stressometer.
I first met George at a wedding in Melton Mowbray last year and we chatted as he was setting up is equipment for that nights entertainment. George is in a band called Maslow he also has his solo projects. Soni his fiance had already had a photographer in mind and George kindly said, you need to look at this site! (lee Glasgow photography) that’s me ;@) Soni saw the talent and I was booked to photograph their Hindu wedding in southport, to which I have to say I’m so very excited.
The images below I absolutely love for a few reasons but above all because it shows two young people in love with a very exciting life ahead of them.
They were a sheer joy to photograph, I just want to get on to photographing their coastal, Hindu wedding near Liverpool and showing off the results of this vibrant wedding.

Annette and Matt were recommended to me via a mutual friend, an introduction that I really value. Now these two will be fab to work with. For Wedding Photographer, Annette will be easy to photograph and Matt is full of smiles, so everybody wins. I’m looking forward to digging a little deeper into Kilworth House to see what other areas of interest I can take advantage of, so as to capture some stylish wedding images.

I had a lovely meeting with Emma and Paul at the impressive Coombe Abbey in Warwickshire. Now impressive it is, but inside it’s dark. For me, this is actually no bad thing, quite the reverse! Instead of fighting with the lack of light by using flash photography and blasting all that beautiful atmosphere away, I’m going to enjoy working with it and letting all that atmosphere soak into my lens. Coombe Abbey is well worth a visit, as the interior is as impressive as the outside. There are woods, a moat and a lake, along with gardens and parkland. There are also designated BBQ areas for those warm summer days. Emma, like a good percentage of women, doesn’t feel comfortable with having her photograph taken, so it was great to hear her say that she really enjoyed her Engagement shoot. The key in creating relaxed images is to try and take the very ingredients away that make us feel uncomfortable. The first – the camera, and the second – putting the subject under the spotlight. The solution is simple. Have fun, create a diversion with conversation and chatting complete rubbish (I am particularly good at this!), get the job done and move on before they have a chance to remember that they don’t like having their image taken! I’m looking forward to capturing their Big Day and showing Emma that she is beautiful and that, on her wedding day, she will look amazing.

I really didn’t hold out much hope for this show for a couple of reasons. Firstly I’ve never attended a ‘WOW’ Wedding Show before and secondly, the idea of a Zoo as a wedding venue didn’t seem to sit easy in my mind. However, I’m pleased to say that I was wrong on both counts! As soon as I arrived at Twycross Zoo, the organisers of the WOW Wedding Show helped me to unpack my car and walk me to my stand. With all the organising they had to do, I was genuinely impressed that they cared enough to stop and help me. Upon walking into the main restaurant at Twycross Zoo, you could not help but be impressed with the design layout, the quality of the build, fixtures and fittings and huge glass windows placing you in the centre of the zoo’s enclosure. Various animals were in, what can only be described as, touching distance. The Wedding Show was busy, with a good number of wedding couples interested in looking at the various wedding suppliers. I really felt looked after by the event’s organisers, so thank you for that! I was extremely pleased that I attended their Wedding Show and I am looking forward to their next one in October. As for Twycross Zoo being suitable for a wedding venue, well this is my take on it. Different? Yes! Unusual? Yes! As a contemporary Wedding Photographer, I search for fantastic lighting and areas of creative interest in which to place my wedding couples, in a natural stylised way. This venue is bursting with the right ingredients! One of the main wedding rooms I visited really excited my interest, because of the huge glass windows stretching all the way down one side. It would create some beautiful Wedding Ceremony pictures. The room is uniquely designed and would make for some really fresh and modern wedding images. I would love to make use of the main hall with all of its design features but most of all, I would be excited to see this place come alive in the evening with its ambient lighting! All in all I would recommend Twycross Zoo, not only to wedding couples but also to visitors as a whole, This zoo has moved on. It’s not the musty, old fashioned place I expected, but modern and fresh. It couldn’t get any more contemporary if it tried! Plug over :@) Check it out for yourselves.

“I am sure you will do really well with the photography business, your beautiful images speak for themselves; I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend you to others. There were no cheesy Christmas movies watched in the Wardle household on Christmas afternoon, it was photo DVD, a few glasses of vino and an ample supply of Andrex all the way! My Mum and Dad also adored the photos and asked us to make sure that we passed on their thanks to you for taking such great shots, they loved the slide show and the music you used and thoroughly enjoyed re-living the day. This is the wedding of Jodie and David at New hall hotel in Sutton Coldfield, in the West Midlands. I met Jodie at The Belfry Wedding Fayre last year. She came to see me, after her Mum, who owns a bridal shop, recommended me to her. Obviously, her mother is a woman with taste! ;@) The wedding took place in the Greater Chamber, where King Henry VIII once slept and where the ceiling and chandeliers are stunning. As soon as I saw these features, I knew they had to be included in the couple’s wedding images. For me, Jodie and David were perfect. They were chilled, relaxed and had their sights set on one thing – to have a fantastic wedding. The New Hall Hotel has the framework for a good wedding, but it was the couple’s family and friends that made this such a beautiful wedding. I cannot finish without mentioning the children, who added an extra layer of meaning and gave the wedding a real sense of a family celebration. The images of the children say it all for me. I absolutely love them! The image of the boys running was only captured because the boy at the front shouted “Hey! Take our picture”. I’m so glad he did as the children’s faces totally sum up Jodie and David’s wedding – sheer fun and a family celebration.

With a stunning venue and a magical day, mixed in with a couple whose sole intention was to have a party to be remembered, this was mission accomplished! The whole Wedding party laughed, cried, ate (and then some), danced, drank and partied from the moment the day started, into the early hours of the morning. At around one o’clock, we left the stunning Kilworth House Orangery and waved goodbye to the totally entertaining http://paulmartyn.co.uk/ who certainly entertained us all day and night. I would highly recommend him to any future wedding couples. We then headed down to the Kilworth House Cellar bar to sing and relax on the comfy leather sofas, drink various shots and pick away at the mountain of cheeses. Julia is a good friend of ours and I have photographed her family a number of times over the years. She and her new husband Adam could not have been any more perfect as wedding hosts. They thanked me many times throughout the day and even thanked me during the wedding speeches. I have to say to you both, thank you for giving me the opportunity to capture the atmosphere and celebration of your most spectacular Wedding Day. The images will be as stunning as the occasion itself. I have to mention the staff at Kilworth House, who looked after us all so much, especially keeping in mind this was New Year’s Eve! Throughout the day and night, you could hear wedding guests remarking on the Venue, staff and, of course, its food! What a way to end my Wedding Photography Year. Simply Perfect!
