Lessons from Bumble.

I'm not there on Bumble yet,but I am aware of what's going on! How, right? The answer is simple. You don't need an account but your friends should have one.Yeah, it was on some usual girls over chai talks that we came to this beautiful account. What caught our attention was the tagline she kept. It was the first time I got to hear such a punch line and my friend was also aback. We were like "Dude this one is dope"! The tag goes like:

"മനുഷ്യനാണ് മാറും മടുക്കും മറക്കും മരിക്കും"

For non malayali friends, the Chat GPT translation would go like this: We are humans, we change, get tired, forget and die. I know this don't have that rhymming as it has in malayalam.

Eventhough we searched on internet to find the source of this line we couldn't spot any credible source. (Let me know if you know from where). But we found that this qoute has been out there for some time. Yet that was my first time I came to notice it (read: first time this made sense).

Whilst discussing this matter, I found myself asking some questions for which I'm yet to find answers. Is there any guarantee when it comes to relationships, aside from the one we have with ourselves? However, does that mean we should stop forming bonds with people? I have always believed that relationships are relative, as the narrative, intensity, and dimensions can change over time, but most of them serve their purpose.

Another thing is that people often use such lines an excuse for their behavior. I've heard people quote the fact that humans are imperfect and using the same to justify their actions. Taking an example, they may shout at someone and then excuse their behavior by acknowledging their short temper as an imperfection. It's really important to work on improving oneself instead of using imperfection as an excuse. Buddy, your imperfection is your business and don't let it out on others!

Whatever you've read so far you can ignore if you don't represent with me. However you can't ignore the fact that power of such tags in Bumble! Without much delay he swiped right and the next time I called him,he was in the very same cafe with her.

The Game of Marriage: Celebrating their 28 years!

This post is completely based on my personal experiences, and every part of this post is copyrighted by Mathews Benny.

It was a summer day in February 1995 when a young, thin girl with a cute smile made the decision to marry a bold-looking, slightly tanned man with a small mustache.They got married on April 27th. It was destined that they would be blessed with two beautiful children. And now, as fate would have it, this blog post is being written on their 28th wedding anniversary.

As a toddler, my parents were my superheroes. Then, as a teenager, they seemed strict. But now, as an adult, I can connect with them on another level. Being an adult, we see them as more like us - humans with confusions, insecurities and in need for someone to talk. Decoding their marital life, I was able to relate them to three other couples that I have seen or heard of.

1.St Mary and St Jospeh : I often wonder how the hell they managed everything. Coming from largely populated families and starting out on their own, I ponder how they managed their careers, finances, hobbies, while creating the perfect atmosphere for our development. When I ask them how they did it, their answer is always, "God will provide." One of the many things that unites them is their belief in God. I'm pretty sure they haven't read any of those self-help books, "101 Ways for Parenting," or "How to Manage Finances." But yet, they seem to have an idea about everything they're into. Their marital life underlines the fact that life is not a theoretical subject. You live and learn!

2.Naina and Bunny. "YJHD" is one of my favorite movies that I keep rewatching.Maybe it's because I love traveling or maybe it's because I come from a family that travels a lot. My parents made it a routine to travel at least once a year, whether it was to Munnar or to Kashmir, on a high budget or a low budget. My sister and I always knew we were going somewhere every year. As a 7-year-old visiting the Gateway of India and a 12-year-old being in the capital city, these memories stay fresh with me. Those travels indirectly taught me that I'm not supposed to be limited by my geography and that there's a lot outside to explore. And you know what made these travels special to us? A place to return to - home!

3.Devasena and Bahubali: Sometimes we just have to break from traditional ways of shooting arrows! The key is to not get intimidated by changes or challenges. It was not a cakewalk for them either. They were challenged every now and then. But family is a team sport. Each member balances the other's weaknesses. That's why they are still in the game!

Always pay attention to what you see being modeled around you. Very often, that will influence how you act!

Then the question arises, who am I? I will let my future generations define me, if that's ever destined!

Malayattor Kurishmudy and the Second Wind.

No Holy Week passes without a visit to Malayattor Kurishmudy. It's a tradition we've followed for a long time, apart from the last two years of COVID. To start with, I heard many stories from my family that even when I was a toddler, we started going there. My father used to carry me back then, and I sat majestically on his shoulders, observing everything and everyone, while my father sweated a lot.

For those who are new to this spot, Malayattor Kurushmudy is believed to be a place where St. Thomas visited when he was in Kerala around AD 52. Now, this mountain is a pilgrimage site used for the Way of the Cross, with fourteen stations of the cross spread across this range. In addition to all this, for me, it's also a place where you can wear sports apparel.

If you've been to this place, you may have noticed that the distance and terrain to the first station of the cross are the most challenging. It's a long stretch from the starting point, with a sudden elevation, and the first station is completely out of sight. In the entire journey, I think this would be the only time when your faith and strength will be tested to the max. In other parts, we know the next stop is nearby, we see the destination, and can feel the progress.

During the first part of the journey, my sister told me that she couldn't go forward as she was feeling nauseous. She sat down, drank water, but she still wasn't feeling well. Seeing that it would not be wise to push someone who's unwell to join the rest of the hike, I asked my sister to wait there until we descended. I went ahead to catch up with my parents, who were enjoying themselves as they are morning birds! I told my father that she wouldn't be able to make it, to which he replied with a simple "hmm hmm," and then walked down to check on her. The next thing I saw was that she was coming up with my father. I don't know what he said to her, or maybe he scolded her, but I don't think the latter was the case because she seemed to be in a happy mood.

After that, it was smooth sailing. Within one and a half hours, we were on our way back to the origin. I walked in front, followed by my parents and sister. As we were about to reach the car, I overheard my father's conversation with my sister. He said, "What you have experienced is called the second wind. When we start doing some activity, we often feel like we won't be able to achieve it, but there comes a point after which you will be in the zone, loving the process. All you have to do is not quit before that point."

Listening to the Ankur Warikoo in him, I just kept walking, telling myself 'Malayattor and the second wind' !

My thunder girl!

RIP to those who are here to read some spicy content about girls. Lesson number one; thumbnails can be deceptive.

The relationship between me and my bike is something I need to work on. We all know someone who takes things for granted, either in our own lives or in the lives of others. I'm that kind of friend to her.

During freshman year in college my father bought me this bike. It's often a tedious task for boys to get a bike in their early years. It's a long process to convince parents that a bike can be used for transportation, not just to pick up girls and cruise around town. Yet it was easy for me. All I had to do was go for a test drive and pick any color.

Maybe that's why I wasn't bothered so much about technicalities. As with every other relationship, we had our share of lows and highs. The only difference here is that the lows could cause you financial stress in addition to physical stress. In our initial days, things were smooth because we were made for each other—unconditional love, baby! But as the future unfolded, there were twists and turns.A major setback in our relationship was her in-laws. They did not accept the fact that we are having fun, so they kept increasing the petrol price. Yet we survived. Match made in heaven!

Over the past 4 years, we throttled over 30k kilometres. On the good roads, we raced over the time and on bad ones, we delayed beyond. Some things went according to plan, but most things happened along the route. Sometimes we went in the wrong direction, yet there were beautiful scenes.

You might be wondering why I'm saying all this. Nothing much! I wanted to wash my bike today but couldn't. As productivity geeks say, we need to find out why before doing a task. So just making up some random y's!

The Kashmir Conundrum

Ever since my visit to Kashmir it's been a deep desire to learn more about the culture, geopolitics and modern history of the valley. During one of my visits to a bookstore, this book caught my attention. The author himself is a kashmiri and a reputed army chief who's experience on and off the field is clearly pictured throughout the book. Being written by an Indian author, this book holds an Indian narrative of the erstwhile state issues.This issue has always been used by the media for their own benefits and we all receive radicalised propaganda. But it's completely different how the people there and their situation. Even after seven decades of partition and independence, if this imbroglio still exists, then a question should be asked about who keeps this running. This book will definitely ameliorate your understanding of Kashmir issues.

Why no one cares about WhatsApp Pay!?

Online payments became common in India after the demonetization, which may be the only advantage of the whole. When you think of online payments or UPI your mind will flutter through options like Google pay, Phonepe, Paytm, or even Amazon pay to an extent. But how many of you actually think of WhatsApp as a UPI method. Barely 10 out of 100 might think of it, and when it comes to the user's numbers goes further down. So, it's a clear state that nobody cares about WhatsApp Pay and why is that so. When I ponder why I don't use it, I found some reasons that may be a common draft.

The first and simple reason is that no one likes Diversifying the Purpose. WhatsApp is the most commonly used social media for a decade which helps in connecting with people. The main purpose one entrust on WhatsApp is communication and that's how our mindset evolved over WhatsApp. So when WhatsApp added UPI to its feature no one really cares because WhatsApp doesn't mean payments for you. It is like one morning you woke up and hear Coca-Cola introduces its new shoes.

Another fact is underlying human psychology regarding Money and Gold. WhatsApp is the most used application in daily life. Humans always have the tendency to keep their savings in little secret locations. No one keeps Gold or Savings in the most commonly used room of the house. And being the most used App on the device one doesn't find WhatsApp to be a private space for finance. There is always an inner gut feeling whether you end up sending an awkward message or forward something unwanted so you close WhatsApp naturally trying to be incognito.

Of all the above this one pokes out. All in one option is only beneficial if the commodity has a price tag. Interesting! Let me state with two examples.

You enter a footwear shop where everything is free of cost. You don't have to spend a single penny on anything. But there is a condition that you can either choose an all-terrain shoe or you can individually pick different shoes of different functions. What will be your choice? I asked these questions with my pals and they all answered the latter.

Consider another situation. This time it's your favorite cafe dine. There is an ongoing combo offer of all the items at just 500 bucks. There is also an option for ordering individual items at their own price. What would you try?

People choose all in one option only when the price has to be paid. For WhatsApp, Google Pay, or PhonePe you are not directly paying for their services hence it doesn't bother you whether you have all in WhatsApp or use different Apps as long your drive space does not bother you. So the strategy of integrating everything under the same doesn't work for everything everywhere.

This is an age-old book with a lot of things that you might have already listened to. A book that has been used by a lot of motivational speakers from the release itself. Since most of the contents were already familiar to me this was an occasional read to me. But I genuinely suggest this book to others, if you are looking for some best kind of self-help books. In that case, Jeff Keller is a promise.

In this book, Jeff Keller breaks down complex life equations into a single word Attitude. So, what is this thing called attitude? How it can control and change your life. These questions are pretty much examined in this book. This book, "Attitude Is Everything" is more like a workbook, where you read few pages take a break, grab a cup of coffee, run errands, and later revise everything you had read through this entire time. This would be one of the first book to be read in the self-care genre. As recites "Your Attitude determines your Altitude."

The Secret

A self-help, spiritual kinda book by Rhonda Byrne which revels a universal law that is 'The law of attraction'.The principle of "law of attraction" states that like attracts like. When you are thinking you emit a frequency out into the world.This frequency resonates throughout and bring back to you all the similar frequencies. I found it as modern explanation for karma which suits well.The secret unfolds the way by which you can master your own life.

The basic content of the book may have known to readers before but the simple and captivating presentation is worth for a read.This book remembers me of karma, basic and prominent philosophies of bible, and global ethics. It's not a must read for peeps but it will certainly remember you 'the remembering'. This not a book to binge read but a book to re-read and ponder. In the end it's a joyful book which says "Your thoughts create your life" .

പതിവ് ഉച്ചയുറക്കത്തിൽ നിന്ന് വിളിച്ചെഴുന്നേൽപ്പിച്ച്തു ഒരു ഫോൺ കോൾ ആയിരുന്നു.അപരിചിത നമ്പർ ആയതുകൊണ്ട് ആദ്യം എടുക്കാൻ മടി കാണിച്ചെങ്കിലും,അത് എടുത്തു. അപ്പുറത്ത് റെന്നി ആയിരുന്നു. ഫോൺ കേടായതുകൊണ്ട് അമ്മടെ നമ്പറിൽ നിന്നു വിളിച്ചതുകൊണ്ടാണ് ആളേ മനസിലാകാത്തത്. റെന്നി, " അളിയാ നമുക്ക് കട്ടിക്കയം പോയാലോ!? "
കട്ടിക്കയം എന്ന് കേട്ടപ്പോഴേ മനസ്സിൽ വിളക്ക് കത്തി.ഒരു വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടം ആണ്, മുൻപ് പലപ്പോഴും പോകണം എന്നുവിചാരിച്ച ഒരിടം.പിന്നെ ഒന്നും ആലോചിക്കേണ്ടിരുന്നില്ല "അളിയാ പിന്നെന്താ നമുക്ക് പോകാലോ " എന്ന് മറുപടിയും പറഞ്ഞു ഫോൺ താഴെ വെച്ചപ്പോഴാണ് അടുത്ത ഒരു മിന്നൽ തലച്ചോറിൽകൂടെ കടന്നു പോയത്. Covid കാരണം എല്ലാം അടച്ചു പൂട്ടിരിക്കുന്ന ഈ സമയത്ത് തന്നെ പോകണോ എന്ന സംശയം. മാത്രമല്ല വീട്ടിൽനിന്നു 30km ദൂരമുണ്ട്. വീട്ടിൽ പറഞ്ഞാൽ വിടാനുള്ള ചാൻസ് നന്നേ കുറവാണ്.
പലപ്പോഴും ഹൃദയത്തെ അനുസരിക്കണം എന്നാണേലോ ചൊല്ല്. വീട്ടിൽ ചെറുതായൊന്നു സൂചിപ്പിച്ചിട്ടുണ്ട് പോകാം എന്നു തന്നെ തീരുമാനിച്ചു.

സമയം 2.15 കഴിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ യാത്ര തിരിച്ചു. 2 ബൈക്കുകളിലായി 4 പേര്. മാസ്ക് മുഖ്യം ബിഗിലേ! മുക്കാൽമണിക്കൂർ പിന്നിട്ട് ഒരു ഇടുക്ക് വഴിയിൽ ചെന്ന് അവസാനിച്ചപ്പോഴായാണ് കാര്യം പിടികിട്ടിയത് ഒരുത്തനും വഴി അറിയില്ല എന്ന സത്യം! ഒടുവിൽ ഗൂഗിൾ തന്നെ ശരണം,ഗൂഗിൾ അമ്മച്ചിയോടു ചോദിച്ചു ചോദിച്ചു നമ്മടെ സ്പോട്ടിൽ എത്തി. വണ്ടി പാർക്ക്‌ ചെയ്ത് ഏകദേശം 1kmഓളം നടക്കാൻ ഉണ്ട്. പക്ഷേ ആ നടത്തം ഒരു അടിപൊളി സംഭവം തന്നെയായിരുന്നു.ഒരു കുന്നിൻ ചെരുവിലെ കാനനത്തിൽ കൂടെയുള്ള നടത്തം സഹയാത്രികരായി കോടമഞ്ഞും കാറ്റും വല്ലാത്തൊരു ഫീൽ തരും. നടത്തം ചെന്ന് അവസാനിച്ചത് വെള്ളച്ചാട്ടത്തിന്റെ മുന്നിൽ ആയിരുന്നു.
മഴക്കാലം ആയോണ്ട് ഒരു രൗദ്ര ഭാവത്തോടെ കുത്തിയൊഴുകുന്ന ജലപതനത്തെ കണ്ടാൽ ആരായാലും ഒന്ന് നോക്കിനിന്നുപോകും. സ്വാഭാവികമായ ഫോട്ടോസെക്ഷനു ശേഷം ഈശ്വരനെയും ധ്യാനിച്ച് മുള്ളൻകൊല്ലി വേലായുധനെ ഓർത്തു അങ്ങ് ഇറങ്ങി.ഐസ് പോലെത്തെ തണുത്ത വെള്ളത്തിൽ ഒന്ന് മുങ്ങിപൊങ്ങിയപ്പോയേക്കും നരൻ സിനിമയിൽ വേലായുധൻ ഡയലോഗ് ഓർമ വന്നു "ഈ തോട് അമ്മയാണ്, എന്റെ വേദനകളും ദുഃഖങ്ങളും അലിയിച്ചു കളയുന്ന അമ്മ".എന്തോ മാന്ത്രിക ശക്തി ഉള്ളതുപോലെ! ഒഴുക്കിനെതിരെ നീന്താൻ സാധ്യമല്ല എന്ന സത്യം തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ വേലായുധൻ ആകാനുള്ള ആ ശ്രമം അപ്പാടെ ഉപേക്ഷിച്ച് ഒരു കല്ലിൽ തന്നെ ഇരുപ്പായി.സൊറ പറച്ചിലും തണുത്ത കാറ്റും ഒടുവിൽ ഒരു കിടിലൻ മഴയും കൂടെ വന്നപ്പോ സംഭവം കളർ.( ഫോണും തുണിയും നനഞ്ഞ വിവരം അന്നേരം ഞങ്ങൾ അറിഞ്ഞില്ലായിരുന്നു!! )
ഇരുട്ടി തുടങ്ങി എന്ന് കണ്ടപ്പോഴേക്കും മഴയത് നനഞ്ഞ ഉടുതുണിയും വലിച്ചു കയറ്റി ആ കാട്ടിലൂടെ ഉള്ള യാത്ര തിരിച്ചു.
ഒരു മഴ കഴിഞ്ഞതോണ്ട് റോഡിൽ ആകട്ടെ ഫുൾ കോടയും.മലചെരുവുകളിലൂടെ ബൈക്ക് ഓടിച്ചു തിരിച്ചു വീട്ടിലെത്തിയപ്പോഴേക്കും സമയം 6.30 അടുത്തിരുന്നു.

ഇത്രേം നേരം കറങ്ങാൻപോയതിന്റെ ശകാരം കേട്ടെങ്കിലും ആ കുളിർമയിൽ അതൊന്നും ഏശിയില്ല.ആ കുളിർമ ഇവിടെ പങ്കുവെക്കണം എന്ന് തോന്നി അത്രമാത്രം!

പിന്നെ പറയാൻ ഒരു കാര്യം മറന്നു. കാനന പാതയിലൂടെ നടന്നപ്പോൾ ആയിരിക്കാം മൂന്ന് തോട്ട പുഴുക്കൾ കടിച്ച കാര്യം വീട്ടിൽ എത്തി ചോര പാട് കണ്ടപ്പോഴാണ് തിരിച്ചറിഞ്ഞത്. 😁

ന്യൂറോസർജനായ പോൾ തന്റെ ജോലിലൂടെയും മരണത്തോടുള്ള തന്റെ സംവാദത്തിലൂടെ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ രഹസ്യങ്ങൾ വെളിപ്പെടുത്തുന്ന ഒരു ഓട്ടോബീയോഗ്രാഫ്യ്. കുറെ നാൾ മുൻപേ വാങ്ങിയത് ആണേലും ലോക്ക് ആക്കി വെച്ചേക്കുവാരുന്. ഒടുവിൽ ലോക്കഡോൺ വന്നപ്പോൾ അങ്ങ് പൊടി തട്ടി എടുത്ത്.

ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം തേടി ഉള്ള അയാളുടെ യാത്ര ആദ്യം സാഹിത്യത്തിലേക്കും പിന്നീട് ന്യൂറോസജ്ജൻ ആക്കി തീർക്കുന്നു.
ജീവിതത്തിലും മരണത്തിനും ഇടയിൽ ഉള്ള നിമിഷങ്ങൾ അതാണ് മനുഷ്യന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിന്റെ അർത്ഥം എന്ന് നമുക്ക് സാധൂകരികാം.
പറയാൻ ഏറെ ഉണ്ടെങ്കിലും ബാക്കി വെച്ചുപോയ താളുകളിൽ നിന്ന് നമുക്ക് മനസിലാക്കാൻ സാധിക്കും എത്രെ വേഗം മരണം നമ്മുടെ ഇടയിലോട് വരാം എന്ന്.
Humans can't change the future but can surely evolve and adapt എന്ന ചിന്ത വായനക്കാരിൽ ഉണർത്താൻ പറ്റും എന്നുള്ളതാണ് ഈ ബുക്കിനെ ഒരു worth reading ആക്കിമാറ്റുന്നത്.

Dear Chetan Bhagat,

I am your well wisher and a 'Fan' from the very beginning of your journey as a novelist. Sincere gratitude for touching many young talented writers, directors and millions of readers. Impetus of this letter is to remind you certain things that you may have forgotten during your hectic schedules.

I have read all your creations and with admiring mind let me say, your standard has gone somewhere. Earlier your stories contain something tolerable even though they too evolves around a boy or girl (exemption for 2020!! ) I snapped up 'Revolution 2020' just because of the title. Truly experienced the proverb " don't judge the book by it's cover". Clearly understood why your voices were at top when the "banning"government (BJP!) proscribed pornography in India. I'm neither judging it's wrong or right but highlighting your mentality that Indian readers will accept anything that is served with sex.So Sir, next time when you write a book give something valuable.

We all prays to God. But somehow all our wishes are not fulfilled. So do u stop praying.

Welcome to my new blog.

In period of time when testosterone pumps a lot every boy believes he has become an adult.Funny ! Don’t criticize them ,it’s a matter of time. When abortive scientific knowledge meets religious ethics chaos are born. We all foolishly believe that praying is something like guarantee that we receive from God.

Prayer doesn’t guarantee you all the things that you wish. If that happens, take an example,in case of terrorist, he even too prays to his/her God to help him kill more people!!!

Praying is something that boostens your subconscious mind enabling you to achieve what you look for.It’s like a talcum powder which does the final touchings.So working without prayer and praying without work are both absurd shit.

Third thing u must remember of praying is that you can’t demand the God to act in the way you dream.God listens to your prayer and of course he will answer sometimes not in the way you wish. That doesn’t make sense that he wasn’t listen to you.

Work + Prayer = Success!

The Value of Lost

I was just surfing through my +1 tour photos when I suddenly got remembered of that day. My eyes rolled into the virtual reality of past ! It was a shining,sunny day.We felt the warmth of the sun on the

moment we got out of bus.We hastened cooling glasses into our eye bolts .For most of us glasses are never meant for protection but just for glamorous looks. It was 4th day of our Delhi trip and we were visiting Vir Bhumi.Vir Bhumi is a large widely spread greenish area where you find it's each piece has it's own story to tell.The sun is shining just as legends souls.Without wasting time by thinking on heroic freedom fighters we were all busy in clicking and posing for photos.And it happened my 8 GB memory card was full!!

Within minutes I switched to new one and kept the old one in my pocket.Everyone there were completely immersed in idea of modeling as if there were any competitions (Me too).

After spending there almost 1-2 hours we were brought back to bus.We were starving for water as if we had not drink it for many days.While traveling to next place I caught up with idea of viewing images which filled the card. I looked for the card in my pocket but it was not there,a sudden panic flashed through my heart. After several minutes of hardcore searching it can't be find.And I decided to go back and look everywhere in Vir Bhumi.Most of our decisions are made on impulse.

I was accompanied by Akhil Sir and Sheenu miss .Even if you are in utter tragedy god always sends angels for u. We took a rickshaw .In the rickshaw I wept like a 2 year old boy. It was at that moment I realized how this little scrap had meant to me.We all realizes value after we lose it.

We reached Vir Bhumi searched and inquired everywhere but all our efforts were in vain.

On way back we took another rickshaw.Within moments I entered the world of racing ! Teachers and I held on for our lives.

His one hand driving made us all feel like in a roller coaster. Thanks God,we had our lives back. Believe there is light at the end of every curve.

It was the scream of my mom which wake me up from dreaming. ‘YES’ - I answered

‘What are you doing at this time. Switch off the light’ - said mom.

I gazed at the clock , yeah it was hours past midnight.

While lying in my bed, trying to sleep an idea came up to me .

We all like memory cards, as memory card has brand-name we all are born in certain names of caste, family. But that doesn't add much value . The fact that I felt the loss of memory card is not because of it's brand but just because it contains photos.Yes, we too contains photos of skills, intelligence, love and respect. So use it before we lose it !

OMG! Time has gone.

I gotta go to sleep .
