Our presidential candidates are all rich , privileged men and women with no knowledge of real life. If they ever lived down among the real human beings they have long since forgotten.

When Scrooge was asked to donate to the poor, he told the charity collectors that the poor had their "safety nets" of the day.
The photo to the right is a memorial in Ireland to the barefoot poor and their children who made the final trip to the awful workhouses when money finally was gone. Once there parents and children were separated mostly forever.
In this memorial a woman and her child's footprints are seen.

‘Are there no prisons?”
‘Plenty of prisons,’ said the gentleman, laying down the pen again.’And the Union workhouses.’ demanded Scrooge. ‘Are they still in operation?’
‘Both very busy, sir.’
‘Oh. I was afraid, from what you said at first, that something had occurred to stop them in their useful course,’ said Scrooge. ‘I’m very glad to hear it.’
‘Under the impression that they scarcely furnish Christian cheer of mind or body to the multitude,’ returned the gentleman, ‘a few of us are endeavouring to raise a fund to buy the Poor some meat and drink, and means of warmth. We choose this time, because it is a time, of all others, when Want is keenly felt, and Abundance rejoices. What shall I put you down for?’
‘Nothing!’ Scrooge replied.
‘You wish to be anonymous?’
‘I wish to be left alone,’ said Scrooge. ‘Since you ask me what I wish, gentlemen, that is my answer. I don’t make merry myself at Christmas and I can’t afford to make idle people merry. I help to support the establishments I have mentioned-they cost enough; and those who are badly off must go there.’
‘Many can’t go there; and many would rather die.’
‘If they would rather die,’ said Scrooge, ‘they had better do it, and decrease the surplus population.”

The rich live in ivory towers and have little in common with the rest of mankind.

Like Bill with his credulous fans, Newt is hoping conservatives suffer amnesia. Possibly some do. Perhaps they cannot recall mere months ago when this insufferable whiz kid was lambasting the great Congressman Paul Ryan for “right-wing social engineering” — more evidence of Newt’s not-so-hidden longing for the approval of the liberal media.

I do not know how much Newt has amassed, but he got between $1.6 million to $1.8 million from Freddie Mac, and he lobbied for Medicare Part B while receiving, according to the Washington Examiner’s Tim Carney, “Big Bucks Pushing Corporate Welfare.” Now after a lifetime in Washington he is promoting himself as an outsider.

Avigdor Lieberman advocates Israel being part of the EU. Getting entangled with Europe and it's unstable governments is never a good thing. The anti-Jewish feeling in Europe is also a strong reason to stay away from such alliances.

Judgment (or judgement ) is the evaluation of evidence in the making of a decision. The term has three distinct uses:

Informal - Opinions expressed as facts.
Informal and psychological – used in reference to the quality of cognitive faculties and adjudicational capabilities of particular individuals, typically called wisdom or discernment.
Legal – used in the context of legal trial, to refer to a final finding, statement, or ruling, based on a considered weighing of evidence, called "adjudication"

I really am not sure I have the right words to describe what I am thinking in this post but I am trying.

"You can't throw the first stone at Newt unless you are perfect." That's a paraphrase of a comment made to me. Besides the fact that no one is throwing anything at anyone, stone or otherwise, the statement is outlandish.

But this is just one of the many slogans of the pseudo-religious who
determine that lawlessness is the order of the day. They insist that "the law is done away with! You cannot judge anyone!" "We are free from law and judgement."

Are you?

Police and the armed forces had better find new jobs. Today we do not need armies because law is gone. No one can judge anything or anyone at all anymore. We cannot judge the terrorism that brought down the World Trade Center buildings. After all who are we to judge?

It is a faith based anarchy movement that is making the rounds.
No one can judge anyone on anything. Yet these people usually demand capital punishment and take people to court all the time. But they have done away with the law. They have done that on their own and demand that others forsake it as well. No law, no crime after all and everyone is free as a bird to do as they please. And if there are laws, then you are forbidden to apply them to anyone's actions. That is too judgemental.

I wonder what you can make a decision according to these enlightened ones? Can you judge a person's opinions? Can you judge the record of their performance?
They say no.
Yet, these same people judge others all the time.

They are willing to judge Hitler, Stalin, etc. Something goes wrong there with the goofy religious fervor doesn't it? How do these people feel about the Nuremberg trials I wonder. The same kind of people had plenty to say about OJ and Michael Jackson and just of late the mother accused of killing her daughter. Tons of judging.

But no, judging a man's character is off limits as you can judge only if you yourself are flawless in performance or have a completely flawless record in all you do. You cannot judge anyone else's foreign policy unless you yourself have a flawless record on that subject yourself. Let's not judge a man's tax paying record unless we ourselves are totally up to date on that.No, we cannot judge anything because the pseudo religious nut cakes have said so.

There is a difference between judging someone's actions and judging them irredeemable because of those actions. But, while it is possible for someone to change, we usually do not want to wait for that to happen when considering them for a very important office.

I thought that I recalled Newt Gingrich being involved in ads about Bill Clinton's affairs.
Remains to be seen where all this will end up I guess.
Most people will probably not care. People seem to only care about these things if they are useful in some fashion.
Back in the day the Democrats said Bill Clinton's escapades did not matter to his political abilities. Republicans said they did.
Well, we get to wait now and see who says they don't matter and who will say they do.

No one should trust private communications to any online site or person ever at all. Not ever.

According to the Politico facebook site,

WASHINGTON, DC - January 12, 2012 - POLITICO is joining forces with Facebook to offer its readers an exclusive look at the conversation taking place on the social networking site about the Republican presidential candidates ahead of South Carolina’s crucial primary on Jan. 21.

Facebook will measure mentions of the candidates in U.S. users' posts and comments as well as assess positive and negative sentiments expressed about them. Facebook’s data team will use automated software tools frequently used by researchers to infer sentiment from text. This aggregate information will be exclusively available on POLITICO with analysis by its journalists.

The ugly potential for this should be clear and note the word 'infer'. That should send shivers down your spine.

People don't read books anymore. They read "Twitter" and "Facebook" updates. That's why the world is as it is.

For all it's much declared love of liberty and fairness , morality and justice, Hollywood has been a major contributor to tourism in a place where slavery and degradation of servants seems not to bother the rich and privileged much at all.

Here is a very good report on the desert vacation spot that stays one half step away from being engulfed in the sand from which is sprung. It deserves a good read and some thought.

As Johann Hari says,
"Once the manic burst of building has stopped and the whirlwind has slowed, the secrets of Dubai are slowly seeping out. This is a city built from nothing in just a few wild decades on credit and ecocide, suppression and slavery. Dubai is a living metal metaphor for the neo-liberal globalised world that may be crashing – at last – into history."

Why are the elite who go there able to suspend humanity and feed cash into this awful place? How are expats who delight in it not called back to reality and an end to self involvement?
Why is recreation today centered on mindless consumerism and also never ending self involvement?
When the world comes crashing down on itself,and it seems more likely that it will each passing day, people will have to do some serious hard thinking about where they placed their values. It is past time for the world to consider what really matters and to begin to focus on truth and goodness.

Here is a place were working men and women from impoverished nations are taken shameless advantage of, imprisoned and held like slaves, defrauded and duped. A place where the beaches that attract those hungry for the "good" life are polluted with human waste.

Gingrich: "I am committed to their right to fail. But I think it has to be fair, it has to be out in the open. This is why you have this underlying anger about the financial class. Because people look over there and they go, "Wait a second. How come I lost my mortgage and you stayed a millionaire? How come I lost all my savings and you stayed a millionaire?"

Limbaugh:"No, no, no. If anything, they're saying, "How come I lost my mortgage and Fannie Mae paid YOU a million dollars?" I mean, it works both ways here. I don't understand why the Occupy Wall Street crowd is protesting Newt. They're singing from the same hymnal on this. This is right out of the New York Times. Newt is parroting what the New York Times is writing about Romney on this: Six rich guys taking over. "But, if we identify capitalism with rich guys looting companies..." Newt Gingrich would "strengthen" the Patriot Act if he were president. This is an appeal to people's fear and it uses fear to enlarge government and power over people.
Dana Loesch, a contributor at CNN, said it is silly to think that threats of punishment would deter terrorism. Dangerous mind set on her part. All law is based on threats of punishment if and when you commit a crime.

Imagine if G-d exacted punishment on you for what you might possibly do? But this is the new push toward canon law in the United States to replace British common law.
Even G-d does not go that far but the Vatican-based canon law does.

The next step is arresting people you think might commit a robbery or murder in the future. Indeed there was talk about just that kind of totalitarian draconian step not all that long ago.
"Thought crimes". Indeed Israel has come up with the horrific and goofy nonsense of mind reading to see if someone is about to commit a crime. Its insanity.
There was 'scientific' research about genes determining criminals at birth. Maybe they could be locked up or destroyed before they make trouble? It is pure insanity.

The Patriot Act is a danger to the freedoms that America fought so long and hard to secure. Now we are watching them be eliminated one by one, faster and faster.

The 'see something say something' is nothing more than inform on your neighbor. It is the stuff of totalitarian big brother regimes. Signs on the train should read:"Be a rat, be a stooge for the police state" "Big brother is watching you".
America does not need to give up liberty to have security.
When challenged on his views of removing rights to secure safety, Gingrich said he does not want to wait until some act of terrorism occurs he wants to get them before that. It is reminiscent of an experiment that was said to reveal what was in your mind. It is thought crime, it is determining a criminal long before he commits a crime and locking him up for what he might do. It is simply put, evil.
In America we prosecute you after you commit a crime. Not before you do unless we can uncover a conspiracy to do something illegal. But this goes far beyond that. It removes the rights of habeas corpus and protection against unreasonable search and seizure taking even cupcakes from innocent people because they might be potential weapons. It is so over the top it is laughable. It eats into the Bill of Rights and just should not be.

In fact that is a famous ideal echoed by Benjamin Franklin so long ago.
He said, "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety."
I think it is a serious mistake to do anything to compromise the Bill of Rights. While for a short season you might think it necessary, governments have shown themselves notorious in never restoring things they take away. They are notorious for betrayal and not keeping their word.

Free people should never place that freedom in the hands of a government.
No surprise that Gingrich is totalitarian in his approach. He wrote the forward to Alvin Toffler's horrible book "Creating a New Civilization" in which this is found:

"The time has come for the next great step forward in American politics. It is not a matter of Democrats versus Republicans, or of left and right...but something more significant...a clear distinction between rear-guard politicians who wish to preserve or restore an unworkable past and those who are ready to transition to what we call a “Third Wave” information-age society"

And this gem:

"The Constitution of the United States needs to be reconsidered and altered...to create a whole new structure of government... Building a Third Wave civilization on the wreckage of Second Wave institutions involves the design of new, more appropriate political structures... The system that served us so well must, in its turn, die and be replaced."

A Vacation Home for Newt

I feel sorry for Newt since he can't afford a vacation home in New Hampshire, so I found some for him to choose from in that lovely state which are not too expensive.

HERE is a nice NJ beach home for you Newt though it is on the low side of pricey for the town of Deal and you will need a second job to pay for the taxes since you are dirt poor.    Just saying....
You know, taxes are steep when you live on the water. Maybe if you get to be president you can do something about that?

Though Newt hardly lives in section 8 housing and is not on welfare, he is a wee bit jealous of some who have done better than he has financially.   Maybe Newt thinks he is middle class.   He must not get out much.

This is America, Newt. No one is stopping you from surging ahead and making more income or buying anything your little heart desires.
It's called capitalism. It's great Newt. You ought to give it a try one time.

How to Destroy America

From The Daily comes a report of the Obama administrations heavy handed pressure to rush ahead visas for any immigrant at all, questionable or not.
Nations are destroyed from within .

In view of the above article I am once again running this piece based on a speech by Colorado's former governor Richard Lamm.
This is a verified and true account, a real speech and far too important not to run as often as possible.

We know Dick Lamm as the former Governor of Colorado . In that context his thoughts are particularly poignant. Last week there was an immigration overpopulation conference in Washington , DC , filled to capacity by many of America 's finest minds and leaders. A brilliant college professor by the name of Victor Davis Hanson talked about his latest book, "Mexifornia ," explaining how immigration - both legal and illegal was destroying the entire state of California . He said it would march across the country until it destroyed all vestiges of The American Dream.

Moments later, former Colorado Governor Richard D. Lamm stood up and gave a stunning speech on how to destroy America . The audience sat spellbound as he described eight methods for the destruction of the United States . He said, "If you believe that America is too smug, too self-satisfied, too rich, then let's destroy America . It is not that hard to do.

No nation in history has survived the ravages of time. Arnold Toynbee observed that all great civilizations rise and fall and that 'An autopsy of history would show that all great nations commit suicide.'"

"Here is how they do it," Lamm said: "FIRST, to destroy America , turn America into a bilingual or multi-lingual and bicultura l country." History shows that no nation can survive the tension, conflict, and antagonism of two or more competing languages and cultures. It is a blessing for an individual to be bilingual; however, it is a curse for a society to be bilingual. The historical scholar, Seymour Lipset, put it this way: "The histories of bilingual and bi-cultural societies that do not assimilate are histories of turmoil, tension, and tragedy." Canada , Belgium , Malaysia , and Lebanon all face crises of national existence in which minorities press for autonomy, if not independence. Pakistan and Cyprus have divided. Nigeria suppressed an ethnic rebellion. France faces difficulties with Basques, Bretons, and Corsicans.".

Lamm went on: SECOND, to destroy America , "Invent 'multiculturalism' and encourage immigrants to maintain their culture. Make it an article of belief that all cultures are equal. That there are no cultural differences. Make it an article of faith that the Black and Hispanic dropout rates are due solely to prejudice and discrimination by the majority. Every other explanation is out of bounds.

THIRD, "We could make the United States an 'Hispanic Quebec ' without much effort. The key is to celebrate diversity rather than unity. As Benjamin Schwarz said in the Atlantic Monthly recently: "The apparent success of our own multiethnic and multicultural experiment might have been achieved not by tolerance but by hegemony. Without the dominance that once dictated ethnocentricity and what it meant to be an American, we are left with only tolerance and pluralism to hold us together."

Lamm said, "I would encourage all immigrants to keep their own language and culture. I would replace the melting pot metaphor with the salad bowl metaphor. It is important to ensure that we have various cultural subgroups living in America enforcing their differences rather than as Americans, emphasizing their similarities."

"FOURTH, I would make our fastest growing demographic group the least educated. I would add a second underclass, unassimilated, undereducated, and antagonistic to our population. I would have this second underclass have a 50% dropout rate from high school."

"My FIFTH point for destroying America would be to get big foundations and business to give these efforts lots of money. I would invest in ethnic identity, and I would establish the cult of 'Victimology.' I would get all minorities to think that their lack of success was the fault of the majority. I would start a grievance industry blaming all minority failure on the majority population."

"My SIXTH plan for America 's downfall would include dual citizenship, and promote divided loyalties. I would celebrate diversity over unity. I would stress differences rather than similarities. Diverse people worldwide are mostly engaged in hating each other - that is, when they are not killing each other. A diverse, peaceful, or stable society is against most historical precedent. People undervalue the unity it takes to keep a nation together. Look at the ancient Greeks. The Greeks believed that they belonged to the same race; they possessed a common Language and literature; and they worshiped the same gods. All Greece took part in the Olympic games. A common enemy, Persia , threatened their liberty. Yet all these bonds were not strong enough to overcome two factors: local patriotism and geographical conditions that nurtured political divisions. Greece fell. "E. Pluribus Unum" --From many, one. In that historical reality, if we put the emphasis on the 'pluribus' instead of the 'Unum,' we will balkanize America as surely as Kosovo."

"Next to last, SEVENTH, I would place all subjects off limits; make it taboo to talk about anything against the cult of 'diversity.' I would find a word similar to 'heretic' in the 16th century - that stopped discussion and paralyzed thinking. Words like 'racist' or 'xenophobe' halt discussion and debate. Having made America a bilingual/bi-cultural country, having established multiculturalism, having the large foundations fund the doctrine of 'Victimology,' I would next make it impossible to enforce our immigration laws. I would develop a mantra: That because immigration has been good for America , it must always be good. I would make every individual immigrant symmetric and ignore the cumulative impact of millions of them."

In the last minute of his speech, Governor Lamm wiped his brow. Profound silence followed. Finally he said,. "Lastly, EIGHTH, I would censor Victor Davis Hanson's book "Mexifornia." His book is dangerous. It exposes the plan to destroy America . If you feel America deserves to be destroyed, don't read that book."

There was no applause. A chilling fear quietly rose like an ominous cloud above every attendee at the conference. Every American in that room knew that everything Lamm enumerated was proceeding methodically, quietly, darkly, yet pervasively across the United States today. Discussion is being suppressed. Over 100 languages are ripping the foundation of our educational system and national cohesiveness. Even barbaric cultures that practice female genital mutilation are growing as we celebrate 'diversity.' American jobs are vanishing into the Third World as corporations create a Third World in America - take note of California and other states - to date, ten million illegal aliens and growing fast. It is reminiscent of George Orwell's book "1984." In that story, three slogans are engraved in the Ministry of Truth building: "War is peace," "Freedom is slavery," and "Ignorance is strength."

Governor Lamm walked back to his seat. It dawned on everyone at the conference that our nation and the future of this great democracy is deeply in trouble and worsening fast. If we don't get this immigration monster stopped within three years, it will rage like a California wildfire and destroy everything in its path especially The American Dream.

The battle of the Maccabees and the miracle of the oil that lasted for eight days are often treated as discrete phenomena. What after all does a military victory have to do with oil burning for eight days. The Al Hanissim prayer hardly mentions the miracle of the oil, instead it focuses on the military victory in the following terms. "Gibborim beyad Halashim veRabim BeYad Meatim", the strong fell into the hands of the weak and the many into the hands of the few. Only then could the lights be lit in the holy temple.

Last week's parsha, Parshas Vayeishev begins with a curious Rashi. After the previous parsha's conclusion had described the descendants of Edom and all the kings of Edom who had ruled before a single king had ruled in Israel, Parshas Vayeishev mentions the Toldos of Yaakov as being Yosef. And the Rashi uses a parable to explain that.

A flax merchant led a caravan of camels through the street loaded with flax. A blacksmith standing by the side of his small shop wondered out loud, "Anah yikones kol hapishtan hazeh?" Where will all this flax go. There's no room for it.

"Hayah pikeach echad meishiv lo," "One wise man told him", "Nitotz echad", one spark emerging from your forge would burn it all. But what kind of answer is this? The blacksmith wants to know where all the flax will go, and the supposed wise man tells him that a spark from his forge would destroy it. That doesn't answer his question.

Yet Rashi brings this down to explain the long list of Edomite kings in relation to Yaakov's much smaller family. "Mi yachol likevosh et kulon?" Yaakov wondered. And so Rashi quotes Ovadiah, "Vehayah Beit Yaakov Eish, uBeit Yosef Lehavah". And the House of Jacob will be flame and the House of Yosef a firestorm.

Often enough Jewish leaders had a similar reaction to confronting a massive empire. When the descendants of Yaakov left Egypt, the Meraglim toured the land and pulled back asserting that no one could possibly conquer it. Yehoshua, who was a descendant of Beit Yosef, asserted that with divine help we could. He was one of two men, a minority within a group from a small nation, and yet forty years later, Nitzotz Echad, that one spark consumed the land of Canaan.

And the viceroy of the Persian Empire failed to prevail against that one spark.

Once again on Chanukah the few faced off against the many, against the forces of an empire and its collaborators. How could they possibly prevail against it? Like the poor blacksmith they stood studying the caravans of flax and wondering where it would all fit. But this was the advice of the wise man. The nature of flax is different than the nature of fire. A single spark outweighs all the flax.

Maccabee stood for Mi Kamocha Baeilim Hashem, their battlecry was Mi LeHashem Eilai. That spark was what consumed the flax. It was what burned for eight days. Flax is inert. Once it is loaded on a camel it is another dead substance. But flame has energy. As long as it is exposed to air then it is attached to its source of life.

Evil is described as already dead. "Reshoim Behayeichem Kruim Meitim, Tzaddikim BeMitatam Kruim Chayim" The wicked are considered dead even while alive and the good are considered alive even while dead. Yaakov was considered alive even after death, while Esav was considered dead even while alive. Why is that? Because evil has cut itself off from the source of life that is G-d, while good remains attached to it even in death. That is the source of the Nitotz Echad that can burn oil for eight days or armies of empires alike.

Time and time again the Nitotz Echad has emerged and the flax has gone up in flames, whether it is the armies of Sancheriv or the armies of seven arab nations. It takes only a single spark to rout evil. But the important thing is to remember it is there.

The enraptured blacksmith was too busy looking at the scale of the flax to realize its nature and to remember the flame that he possessed. It took the Pikeach, the wise man whose eyes were open, to remind him of him that. While you stand gazing at the flax, back in your shack is a flame that will put all that flax to shame, that would consume it all if you only remembered what it is capable of.

Sasquatch/Bigfoot

I hope you will take time to give me some feedback on this post.

This is something I have been thinking about for a while. I have no resolute opinion on it,though I lean toward believing for reasons of my own which include taking long hikes with my father through New Jersey's forests from a very young age. We would hike for miles and see and hear things that intrigued me. Tall trees as thick as 6 inches broken by brute force and shaped into 'X's' and other odd shapes were something we pondered. Then there were the very loud, very forceful tree 'knocks'.

I am surrounded by forest and water and I have often heard what I took to be "hammering" noises far back in the woods. These loud sounds were those of a very hard hit echoing off a large tree. Then you hear a responding knock from another direction. I always wondered who in the world was hammering way back in the woods and at the same time realized, no one could be there doing that really.
I love anything to do with our environment and the great outdoors so interest in this is probably a natural outcome of that.

The last time I heard it I was with my dog a Flat coat Retriever, who has since passed on. We heard the back and forth knocks not far from my house. It was not all that far away. It raised the hair on the dogs neck and she did not want to continue on. Neither did I. I had a seriously creepy feeling and we made quick time getting out of there.

I am familiar with gun shots so I know the difference between a rifle shot and this sound. They are not the same.

It was not until I happened upon a video recording of sounds said to be made by "Bigfoot" that I recognized the same knocking noise I have heard for many years. That was when I began to look into the story and possibility of Bigfoot being something real.

Living by the forest you hear a lot of strange things and you can chalk up a lot to imagination.

The first time I heard the screams of a few foxes I thought that someone was being killed, literally. Fox screams are awfully scary, especially late in the night!

I hear great owls, fox, bob cats, coyotes, (Yes, NJ has bobcats and coyote packs. Jackson NJ has a lot of coyotes and they are dangerous by the way) all of the normal things but then one morning, early a neighbor and I both beat it back inside our houses, both of which border on a huge tract of government forest land when we heard a growl. A big growl. I had previously written of recent sightings of Mountain lions, also called puma and cougar in the Garden States. You can see that HERE.

Now it could have been a bear, though they are more common just a bit south of here, but, you never know.

The woods are dense with pine, swamp maple, cedar ,holly, thorn bushes with thorns as long as 3 inches. Blueberries grow wild and bogs are filled with cranberries. Trails can be pure white sand and hard to navigate.

New Jersey has millions of acres of forest and government land that is uninhabited and much of it unexplored.

One of the most famous films of a Bigfoot/Sasquatch was of a thing nicknamed "Patty" because it was recorded by a man named Roger Patterson and his friend Jim Gimlin near the Klamath River in California back in October of 1967. Recently the film was viewed by a famous fellow who says that it proves to him that this is a real creature. A giant ape native to so many places around the world. It has been sighted and recorded in 49 states. The Indians have tales of them going way back and pioneer and colonial sightings are shared.

Several things about these creatures in the films are interesting. First, the bent leg compliant gait is impossible for humans at the rate of speed the subject if moving. Second the long arms that fall to the knee line are too long for humans. This can be seen in the original film itself. The rise/ fall stepping and inline step is not human like either. You can literally see the muscle ripple beneath the fur and you can see the foot and toes rise up on footfall. In the small animation at top you can see the muscle and fat shake with the footfall from the back down into the thigh.

Why has no one found a body? Well, when was the last time you saw a rotting carcass of a bear or even a deer? Even living and walking the forests as I have for years, I have only seen a few small number of animals dead. The vultures are just too quick and other animals drag off the bones to chew very quickly afterwards. Also most animals go into dense underbrush to die it seems.

For every credible film there are tons of stupid hoaxes which hinder real research. But there are a large number of sightings in Jackson, NJ, Manchester, and down by the Bass River State Park as well as north in Sussex county, Stokes State Forest and etc.

I thought it might interest others to see this fascinating video and to hear the sounds that I find so intriguing. The sounds are authenticated as being non human and not of any known animal. They were recorded in various sites by Ron Morehead and Al Berry of California.

What do you think?

I guess until or if they ever really get a true closeup, it will always be a mystery. Then again, today, even a closeup would bring out the skeptics I guess. I don't know what would prove if it exists or does not except a live capture or a group of professionals finding one.

As for me, I just don't can't say one way or the other, but I find it fascinating.

4th Reich :The Revival of the Holy Roman Empire

This is a 2^nd post for Thursday.

It is a reprint of an article first run here in 2008. It is timely now and needs to be repeated often.

The European Union and it's prime prize, the Charlemagne award have their roots in Nazism.

Those awarded this prize for service to European unification include Bill Clinton, Tony Blair, Edward Heath, Angela Merkel, Henry Kissinger among others.

The EU was founded and run at it's inception by actual Nazis and is the extension of Hitler's plans for world domination as laid out in a letter found in 1947 with plans for world domination in the event Germany lost WW2.

Those plans included the use of German corporations to help fund the furtherance of German plans for a single currency and a single German lead government.

The first men involved in the European Commission, which was the beginning of the EU, were very much fascist minded.

Walter Hallstein the first President of the EC in 1957 was a Nazi leadership officer who taught fascism the Nazi way in German universities.

Paul Henri Spaak called a founding father of the EU was a rather formidable fascist as was Walter Funk who was Goebbels helper as a minister of propaganda. He was Reich's Economic minister and as such oversaw stealing Jewish property. This is the man who wrote the 1."economic blueprint for a united Europe adopted by the European Union."

Hans Josef Globke a personal friend of Adolf Eichmann, was the man responsible for the Nuremburg Race Laws and was director of the German Chancellors office from 53-63 . Today his race laws are used to determine the ethnic background of citizens of Europe and who is European and who is not.Jews and Gypsies are "not".
Globke formulated the laws that gave Hitler unlimited dictatorial powers and was chief legal adviser in the Office for Jewish Affairs in the Ministry of Interior.
He was appointed "Ministerial Counsel" for the Third Reich because of his "extraordinary efforts in drafting the law for the Protection of the German Blood" and because of "his services to the Nazi regime were highly appreciated by the party hierarchy and he was highly rewarded"

It is not surprising then that there is a Balkanization of the world going on now while at the same time there is a push for globalization. This is seemingly contradictory but when you realize that not everyone is wanted in a global economy or kingdom, then it becomes more understandable.

First comes the weeding out and the idea of who is who.

The German Reich has been the image that the EU has been using as a model. This is why there has been a German lead push for the West to interfere in Eastern Europe and meddle and cause the balkanization of more and more nations there.

Bernd Neumann the Berlin State minister for Culture says this is so and that the Holy Roman Empire lead by the Germans is the blueprint for the EU.

He says that the history and fate of Germany and Central Europe are tied "Indissolubly" together.

This is supported also by the German pope Joseph Ratzinger who has put himself full force behind the idea of "Reichsdee" or Imperial Ideal for Europe. He sees the "spiritual foundations" of Europe as uniquely Catholic,a uniquely German led holy Roman Empire Catholic, to be specific.

To this end, the Imperial Ideal, German leadership of the EU must be cemented in place . This is an idea urged on by Merkel, the Pope and others .

It is precisely this idea that has some in Great Britain very worried.

Bernd Neumann has stated that the German lead Holy Roman Empire is today's only valid model for a functioning "Superstate".

The paper written on this is called "The Holy Roman Empire of the German Nation, 962-1806". Of course Hitler tried to revive this himself and now Germany has still not abandoned it's desire for domination of other nations.

Otto Von Hapsburg said in the 1970s that the German Reich was the prime model for the European Union. After all if they could not get Europe by war they would by stealth and design and manipulation.

Pope Joseph Alois Ratzinger has stated that the "Reich" is the only legitimate model and concept for a stable co-operation of church and state.. in other words a Catholic-German holy Roman Empire in which church canon law supersedes all other and the state enforces church rulings and vice versa.
Note: In 2011 he stated that he wanted a single world wide currency and government.

This is the mindset that allowed for the Inquisition of old and it is no coincidence that this office has been reinstated or that Ratzinger was head of the office of the Inquisition.

While Europe appears headed for disintegration due to rampant immigration, make no mistake about German efficiency and drive toward a goal. Once they set their mind to a task they go at it until it is complete.

Already there is a push in the EU to declare Sunday as Europe's official day of rest in which no one can work at all. .
Charlemagne was the first to do this and any caught observing any other day were killed and/or their property confiscated by the church/state.

The Price of Security

The price of security is very high both in terms of dollar amount and loss of liberty and the returns, according to security experts is minimal.
Repeated tests by security experts and others find the the TSA fails in every test of its methods allowing all manner of dangerous items onboard planes, items they never see.
The idea is that terrorists are essentially stupid and cannot figure out that if you are making people remove their shoes, they should hide their items elsewhere. Or as the article goes on to say, if they swab the hands, make sure you wear gloves.
Terrorists are more likely to be employees of the TSA itself or the airport than passengers who must go through extensive but ineffective screening.

The United States tried to do just that. Federal and state governments embarked on a nationwide safety upgrade. Checkpoints proliferated in airports, train stations, and office buildings. Korean War: Once More With Feeling?

The Council on Foreign Relations has a report you might find very interesting. It is entitled 'Preparing for Sudden Change in Korea'. You will find it HERE available for pdf download.

The main subject of the report is the exploitation of any opportunity should North Korea have sudden or unusual regime change. It includes the possibility of Western intervention and occupation of North Korea.

It also includes plans for the reorganization of Korea, the merging of North and South, if such military intervention would take place.

The use of diplomatic channels being worked through the EU are encouraged. It speaks of creating "Arab-spring" like climate in North Korea.
You can find information on that strategy in Foreign Policy Magazine.

Reports from South Korean experts including political analyst An Chun-il and a North Korean defector, say that Kim Jung-Il may have been assassinated along with another leader in North Korea.
This was also suggested by Rep Chun Yo-ok of the GNP as in recent years the health of Kim was seen as much improved but rumors of power struggles were leaking out of North Korea.
The motive for an assassination is said to be the growing problems between the military and the Communist party. The military's interests were subject to setbacks by Kim Jung-Il and An speculates revenge and desire for a change of regime could have been one motive.
An told the Korean Times that “As their vested interests were hurt due to Kim Jong-il, I would not rule out the possibility that some military officers, who believed their clout and influence had been damaged, could have played a role in his death,”

It was earlier reported that Kim suffered two strokes and was in declining health. He had named his third son his successor and dismissed a number of older military men at the same time. However, in the last couple of years his health had improved dramatically as seen in personal appearances.

We will probably never know which account is the truth, but we will soon learn how things play out under the leadership of his son Kim Jong-un

American Sunset?

Is this the American sunset?

The light once shed around the world by this great nation is dimming and that is due, I believe, in no small part to the poor quality of leadership that has been plaguing the nation for decades now.

Who is at fault for bad leadership? Isn't it the people who do not demand more and who settle for what they can get? Isn't it the people of a nation who see the 'dumbing' down and do not insist that it end? Americans have watched as education has been 'dumbed down' and offered a weak reaction to it. Americans have stood by and watched the precious Constitution be relegated to the back of the bus and shrugged their collective shoulders.

We have today a lack lustre array of candidates for the post of president of the United States and we are expected to accept that and vote for whoever is the least objectionable.

The latest in dumbed down candidates is Newt Gingrich. This is a man who says he would defy Supreme Court rulings he did not agree with them.
How very banana republic of him. How would you feel if Obama said this out loud? No good president should ever declare that he is an unabashed scofflaw.
The Supreme court is like it is because of men like Newt Gingrich in fact.

He says he would impeach judges or abolish courts. In that case one would hope he himself would be impeached and thrown out of office entirely. But this radical and outrageous statement absolutely ensures he should never be president. It is totally un-American in and of itself. Unfortunately it does not automatically ensure that he will not be president.

While it is true that the Supreme Court has taken powers they should not have, it is not their fault alone and Gingrich's thug method of remedying this is not how you deal with it. A return to living and ruling by the Constitution is the way you deal with it. You do not just wipe a branch of the government out of the way because you don't agree with it. There are legal ways to change things. It is this scofflaw thinking that is responsible for so much wrong in the world today.

The Supreme court has changed because Congress and the Presidents have used it as a political tool for their own party agendas rather than appointing those who are strict Constitutionalists. It is the Congress and Presidency who allowed this to happen. They place people on the court if they are or are not pro-abortion, or pro this or that kind of marriage or etc. This is NOT how it should be. The court was not intended to be a party politics stamp of approval but the body that estimated whether or not the Constitution was being upheld. This they no longer do.

America needs patriots , not politicians. Politicians have, by and large, forgotten or just do not care that we have a system of checks and balances in America to keep a president from disregarding the powers of the other branches.

We do not want one branch of government becoming more powerful than the other two. We do not want a dictator who is above the law of the land or who thinks he can make the law of the land. We have had too many presidents like that for an awfully long time now both Democrat and Republican.

We have too many who ignore the Constitution and make and break the law at will. But, with a Congress that does not insist on upholding law themselves, what can you expect? With a Supreme Court based on political bias rather than on men or women knowledgeable about the Constitution and bent on upholding it, this is also what you get as a return.

The old saying is that when you give an inch, people will try to take a mile and it certainly is proved true over the years in politics.

But those who wish to govern according to the laws of the Constitution are laughed at, mocked and held in contempt not just by fellow politicians but by many people as well. So called 'conservative' bloggers seem to be amongst the worse.
Constitutionalists are called silly and naive. But there is nothing naive about the Constitution at all. And, if lived by, would keep the US on an even keel complete with a balanced budget. Rotten politics and foreign agendas drive us now. And by the way, those same ones who say that you cannot live strictly by the Constitution are the same kinds who think you cannot live by the bible too. It's too hard for them and will not work they say even though they have never bothered to try it!

Is that because we have become a lawless society bent on 'doing our own thing' as the old saying goes?

The head of a nation are its leaders. The heart of a nation is its people. Isn't that right?

Gingrich is known for being an outrageous wild card.He is not a balanced 'head' or a balanced leader.
"I am fed up with elitist judges" he said calling their judgements "radically un American" but then many of his own ideas are also radically un-American and he is big government in spades.
"The courts have become grotesquely dictatorial and far too powerful,"he is quoted as saying. And the Presidency has not? Hasn't Congress had some powerfully shameful moments in allowing all this to continue?
We have a presidency that makes and breaks law at will and a Congress who allows this to happen. We have been fighting wars without any Constitutional backing for decades now and while there are among us those with agendas based on foreign interest who push this , it is totally un-Constitutional and wrong. Congress must declare war.

If America is in her sunset years now when does the night fall?
We are bogged down in mire because of sick heads and faint hearts.

I hear people actually saying that they will be voting for the least objectionable person in the next election. How far have we fallen when that is our mind set? Where are the demands for more and better from our leaders? They are discussed to exhaustion but there is little demand in the media or in the public for these men to "man up". Not as much as there should be. But then, do people know what to expect anymore? Do they know what to demand?

By the way, does it seem there is a relationship between which religion is the majority in a nation and national mind set? It might be interesting to consider anyway.
There seems to be a relationship between religion and what kinds of people accept a religion also.

When American thought was primarily of the old-fashioned traditional Protestant thinking which differs quite a bit from the new evangelical style religion that's popular today, it prospered and stood more firmly by its original roots. Those roots are dying off.
I had noticed this difference after reading several scholarly papers on the history of that religion. They made for very interesting reads and it was a surprise to me how vastly that religion has been altered in the past 100 years or so.
Those changes seem to coincide with serious changes in the US, which, was always primarily Protestant in mind set.

First world nations always had that kind of traditional, work ethic mind set.
Third world nations seem to be primarily Catholic and of late, Mohammedan in nature.
Look at the difference in European nations alone with regard to which religion has had the most influence.
Anyway, as I said, interesting to think about.

Suspended for Tebowing?

Riverhead High School suspended these boys for putting on a tribute to Tim Tebow, whom they respect as a role model and would like to emulate in life . So the boys demonstrated their support for him as he is under fire from many sides for no real reason at all actually.
These boys were not suspended for blocking a hallway as it is alleged, they were suspended because they support Tim Tebow. The school said they might come to cause a riot!
Crazy stuff. These are not kids who cause riots.

There was a time you got suspended because you beat up the class geek or up-ended him into the huge trash dumpster outside. Or dumped a teacher's desk out of the 3rd floor window.

Today you are suspended for religion or standing up for values of any sort.
Meanwhile schools encourage the flying of foreign flags and a general disrespect for religion and morality. I guess schools can't tolerate some boys bucking that.

These boys are guilty of nothing really. If the school believed it was a blockage to the hallway, just say so and remind them that next time there are better places for this kind of thing because no, you should not block the hallways.
But you don't suspend them over this.That is out of all proportion.
It's just a mad house out there today.
