Phew, it has been a tiring, yet fulfilling week for me where i get to interact with a lot of like minded people and at the same time, inspired and get inspired by them. I always bring home different experience whenever i get to coach, but this time round is a bit different where i get the chance to work with more participants by not taking up any small group. It gives me an experience to test out new thing and I felt that it was challenging and of course, I realize there are so much rooms for me to improve and I get excited whenever I know which level of skills I can go up to and I will work towards getting it.

Mod 2 has been a great success under the leadership of Benjamin and I truly appreciate the moment we spent together with each and every coaches. There were many silly and childish things that we did which reminds me that I used to be so happy and cheerful but some point this time i have almost forgotten how happy was I used to be. Thanks for bringing back the kind of feeling that used to be so pure and sincere. Thank you for your sharing that now I truly treasure my parents who are still around which perhaps, I have taken this for granted.

I’m happy to see some of my participants in Mod 1 achieved tremendous breakthrough that would definitely be an inspiring experience for them. You guys have gone so far and I know that it’s not easy but you guys managed to complete everything in style and demonstrated great attitude towards achieving your goal. Great job, guys! And I’m proud of you.

I’m supposed to go to Singapore Expo this morning for another exhibition but my body is telling me to rest, at least for today. I have been stretching my body for quite sometime and I believe it is time for me to take a 2 days off to have a good rest and do up some reading before I attend 7th path on this weekend.

Checked on one of my trades that I opened up last Tuesday and it has given me a return of 420% and at least it compensated for my time and effort during the period of POE. I’m looking forward to quintuple or even decuple it within the next 2 weeks.

Many of you asked me why do I spend so much time coaching at AKLTG and wouldn’t it affect my trading? A very close friend talked to me about priority and it really hit me.

Yes, looking back for the past 2 years, i did spend a lot of time going back to POE to contribute as much as I could and I have to admit that i have improved as a person just by merely contributing. Although I don’t get paid at all but I do feel fulfilling and I can’t describe the kind of satisfaction that you are getting each and every time you know that you have touched people’s heart. AKLTG provides me the ground to do so and that’s why I like going back to inspire and at the same time, get inspired.
I always tell people that it is really lonely sometime being a full time trader and that’s what I told OptionPundit. Well, in case you don’t know who he is, you can visit his blog at http://optionpundit.net.

We had a great dinner and we talked a lot about our plan and vision and it is always heart lightened to have a person who is like-minded to talk to. Yo, OP, I learnt so much from you from our conversation and I think we should meet up more often, if you have the time to.. haha. Perhaps I should take your advise to “have more colleagues” but I don’t think this will happen in near term.

Oh ya, going back to priority..

My priority is always my trading as that is my main source of income. Although I can afford to trade for a living now but yes, I notice that I have lost a bit of fire in me and I start to wonder why?? Perhaps I start to feel a bit bored now doing what I am doing where I don’t see much improvement in me. Or perhaps I need more push from the back.

Many of them also noticed the difference in me now as compared to before where I don’t really look as energized as before and I realized that also but I just couldn’t tell what is causing it.

Is it that I don’t like what I am doing now? Nope, this couldn’t be as I always enjoy what I am doing being a trader as it gives me the time freedom and that is always what I have been looking for.

Then what could it be then….

I just feel that I don’t have enough oomph to move forward but I know that deep inside me that I would want to move on. Perhaps it’s time for me to start to concentrate more on my own trading now and spend more time with old friends who I have been neglecting.

As I am writing this now, I have started to feel better and maybe I just need to have a channel to voice out my frustration sometime where you know, trading alone is not like having a lot of colleagues where you can enjoy yourself sometime by listening to the gossiping. Hehe..

Well, Mod 2 of POE is starting next Wednesday and I really need to start to feel more refresh in order to give the best to my participants in order for them to have a wonderful experience.

Nothing much about this post as I am just attending to your request to update my blog more often and sorry to have bored you with this post which I have no idea what am I writing about.

Perhaps it’s Sunday and that’s why I have more time, but nothing, to write……….

Congratulation to all of you who have stayed through with me for the 4 days and I believe each and everyone of you had taken home something invaluable in terms of knowledge and most of all, realisation.

I’m happy to see the breakthrough some of you have achieved and I specially admired the kind of team bonding all of you were demonstrating during the games.

Once again, thank you all for allowing me to be your coach and I would like to thank Irene, my co-coach, as well who has been working with me for the first time and your attitude towards as a coach has in fact raised the bar and standard for those who wants to be in the POE coaching team.

I shared with a few friends few nights ago what I have been looking forward to learning but from their feedback, I know they think that I’m some kind of nuts and perhaps I’ve been too obsessed into this NLP thingy. They would look at you in doubt, laughed and turned away. I was a bit turned off but deep inside me, I still believe that spoon can be bent because I’ve seen many through my own intensive research from Googling. Just that I would need to show them the results and that has always been my way of showing and convincing people what one can achieve, that is, by RESULTS. It is always useless to convince people into believing you without any results, right? So, why bother…..

Spoon bending is an art to master and I don’t mind acquiring this skill where you can put your mind power into “better used”.

Ok, take a look at my bent spoon before I talk about my experience last night…

When I first started bending, having not concentrated and meditated enough, I couldn’t actually bend it too much and it was as hard as a steel. I was putting too much pressure into myself that I need to bend it straight away. But everything just didn’t go right and as smooth as I thought it was supposed to go. I started to doubt…. really.. and i hurt my thumb by using too much force……

Then, Rachit get everyone to share about their experience and from there I started to listen on how people actually did it. Ok, this got me turned on again….

Second time, I went into deep meditation, visualizing I’m part of the universe and accumulating all the energy I could to allow me to bend the spoon. “Bend, bend, bend” and “You will bend for me” are the words I kept on chanting deep inside me. I really went deep in and I could feel the heat coming out from the spoon. I know that is the right state I need to be in at that time to complete the task.

“Bend, bend, bend” was all over my mind…

For the next 1-2 minutes, I was in deep concentration, allowing all the positive energy and resources to be part of me.

Then, the next minute I opened my eyes and without a second thought, I bent and twisted the spoon and the feeling was so good as suddenly, the spoon felt like a rubber. I managed to bend and twist it two and a half time before I get so excited and lose my concentration. The spoon was so hot that I could feel the heat from it.

Well, spoon bending, nothing much to shout about if you think that you can do it. Yes, you can use your brutal force and bend it but that would be a big difference as compared to using your mind power, to complete the task in a smoother way.

Same goes to the real life, ask yourself whether have you been utilizing the talent in you? Have you been putting it into good used? Or is it that you don’t know how to utilise it? If it is, have you attempted to acquire the skill to fully maximise what you’ve already had in you or you just simply do not have the faith in yourself that you can actually achieve something extraordinary? Are you contented? Just think about it for a second..

Spoon bending, although it is a simple task, now, allows me to learn more about myself and how powerful our mind power would be if we really tap on it. This would be one of my major breakthrough and I am worried, now, about the spoons I have at home, at least my house mate would…….

Thanks to those who constantly remind me to update my blog. Yeah yeah yeah, blog is meant to be updated, I understand. I’m sorry that you didn’t receive any output from me everytime you return. I had just finished replied more than 20 emails for the past weeks regarding your trading questions and do let me know if i miss out any of yours. I do reply emails but just that give me a little bit more of time, ya.

Talking about the trading questions, one reader asked about my trading style and isn’t it very difficult for me as to stay up late everyday since US Eastern Standard Time is 13 hours behind?

Well, the common misconception of trading the US market is that you have to stay up throughout the whole trading session till 5am in the morning. One friend even told me that he has to stay up every night as that is the commitment one should have to be a full time trader. I mean there’s nothing wrong with that but just that whether is it resourceful or not.

For full time traders, you have to ask yourself what is the reason that you take up trading as your life long job? If your trading style does not improve your lifestyle, then there must be something wrong with it. You might as well go back to your full time job as at least the salary is consistent, isn’t it?

One of the reason that people would have to stay up late is because they do not have a trading system in mind. Even if they have, they would not be using it due to the temptation from the market.

You see, the biggest enemy you are facing as a trader is not from the market maker and professional traders but yourself. You will be constantly battling with the fear and greed within you and that’s most of the traders lose the battle to, not to GOOG, AAPL, IBM or the bad market. They just couldn’t resist the temptation that constantly testing their greed that they abandon the trading strategies they have on hand and act based on emotion. They would tell you that they THINK it will go up…..

But when you talk to them later, they would have their stories to tell you that it’s just not their day because the market is heading into recession, the CEO is not doing their job, so on and so forth. Tell you what, bad traders are the best story teller in the world. No one could compete with them…

But the most common excuse is they have no time to trade, yet they want to trade. They thought that the single most important reason that they lose money is because they couldn’t stay up late to monitor their position.

But is it true? Do you really have to stay up late to be a full time trader?

For me, the answer is a definite NO. I used to stay up late and i still stay up late, when i want to but not because i have to. Trading is always an art for me and there’s no right way in doing it. You may choose to stay up late and trade with tension and there’s nothing wrong with that. However, I choose to treat trading as a hobby and that’s how my trading results excel when i choose to look at it from another point of view.

Whenever I’m sitting in front of my desk, watching the 22″ Philips LCD together with my 2 tiny 14″ Compaq laptops, I’m a happy man. Just think about the feeling of being able to diagnose and read the movement of the chart and make money from it, isn’t it great?

What’s there to be stress about? You are stress if you do not know your risk and you are stress if you do not have faith in your trading system. The other reason is you think you are not good enough, isn’t it? That’s why you are stress and tense.

If you are good and confident in what you are doing, would you be stressed? If you have been doing something long enough, would you be confident of repeating the success? You answer it.

Of course you can still choose to have these unresourceful feeling if you think that is the resourceful state you need to be in to make money. But just that i choose to be different as I’d rather choose to be relax and make money at the same time.

Then people ask me how do i handle my losses? Be happy about it?

Of course the answer is NO as well as it’s MONEY, man. I choose to look at the losses as part of my day to day trading expenses and I always know that the more expenses I incur, the more profit is awaiting for me to take. Taking both losses and profit is essential to trading success. The only difference is how to take it smartly….

But again, my question to you is what level of skill you have to taking losses and profit? Are you able to take losses unemotionally and profit consistently?

If your answer is NO, then get yourself EDUCATED.

People always think that the best teacher to trading is the stock market. They are willing to pay thousands of dollars to the market for no reasons but are not willing to spend a dime in their own education which, perhaps could have saved them ten thousands of dollar.

They thought that by paying a little to the market and read a couple of books and that would be more than enough to make them a good trader. Ha, I really hope it is that easy as there are more than 1000 trading books in Kinokuniya or MPH and everyone would be a successful trader, right?

This is pathetic and are you one of them who trade without the end result in mind? If you are, shame on you!

Not too much but only SGD 211.64. It might be too little for many of you but for me, it’s good enough for me to pay off my hosting fee for 2 years which cost about the same amount I received. I mean what else can you ask for to be paid real money to blog, right?

The amount seems to be small but just think about being able to generate a few cents or dollars a day here and there without doing any hardwork but just by writing something you would like to share with your friends or readers. Is it too much work to do?

The good news is that you can also monetize your website or blog by doing exactly the same as I do. Just go to the bottom of the right sidebar under the “Monetize Your Blog” and click on the button to sign up for Google Adsense and you can immediately start to generate a little bit of income to pay off your hosting fee.

Other than that, it’s always nice to have a chance to share with more than 700 people about my idea of deriving a trade and a little bit of the importance of money management. If you still remember what I said, money management is the only holy grail to trading success. Test it out if you still have doubt.

Haha… I’m proud to announce that I was not able to defend my title successfully in the overall individual category. In fact, I came in forth with a return of 87% in 3 nights. It’s ok as I did my best and I’m so proud to be able to stick with my own money management rule in each and every trade and at least I defended my title as being the champion in the age of above 30s category, if there is one. Haha..

Coming on top in the group category meant a lot more to me as it’s not about personal success but also bringing success to the people around you. I always believe in team work and if there isn’t any, any success or glory that we achieved would eventually fade away as it is kinda lonely if there is no one there to share the joy with you.

I would also like to thank all of you who still sent in the kind and warmth emails checking with me my performance at the Options Trading Championship. The last one that I received was last night. I really appreciate all of your concern.

One of the reader asked me whether the reason that I didn’t update my blog was due to the results of championship. Haha. I would say the answer is no and in fact I had more important thing to attend to in the month of Nov and those who know me should know how important it was or still is.

Anyway, it’s the end of 2007 and the main reason for this post is to say Hi to all of you who has always been there for me. I love you all and thanks for being a friend.

Over the past 1 week, there were countless rumour and speculation going around the net from Indonesia and Singapore stating how many percent the Indonesian team had achieved and how I had achieved 200 over percent portfolio growth to retain the title so on and so forth. I even heard someone mentioning the Taiwanese won it which I know is not true. Malaysia has been so quiet and no news whatsoever from them and that makes me wonder whether the champions comes from them.

Well, the fact is that I didn’t achieve 200%. Rumour sometime could kill if you believe in it too much, especially in stock trading.

However, the reliable source I got from Indonesia was true that Indonesia contenders won all the Individual category and yes, it happened that way. The winner achieved a 230% growth in portfolio which surpasses my record of 198%. Well done!

One thing that is within my expectation is that we won the Group Champion. Our team had been performing consistently well since day 2 and we managed to hold on to the tremendous challenge posted by the Indonesia to win the Group Champion which I wanted to win so much for my group member. This is my promise to them on day 1 to be able to go on stage and I’m glad to be able to fulfill my promise and we even gone 2 steps better to be the Champion!

Honestly speaking, I do feel a bit relief right now as initially, I had problem building up this team and I was rejected numerous time by many people. Of course I have to admit that I was a bit selective as well but when the deadline was almost due, I was so desperate in need of people that I even called up to beg them to join me.

2 weeks to the competition and I was unable to form a team, a proper team that would have faith in me to lead them to glory. Later, those who promised to join me backed out to join other team and my ex team members rejected my invitation again. No one responded to my recruitment offer in the forum and I was so stressed.

Then come on board my lucky charm, Malcolm, who has been my “The Challengers” team mate for the past 2 years. He was the first to say yes and that gave me the confident to build up a formidable team. Then, I called up Yi Leong, a very good friend who has yet to start trading and I remembered how I “framed and coaxed” him to join me. Then the setback came as the deadline for the OTC was due and fortunately he was able to enroll through back door strategy I taught him. Phew!!

I was unable to get the third member and I was supposed to be assigned a Top Challenger from Freely who initially was unable to have a team as well but he abandoned me also to join other team just before the competition officially kicked off. I requested for a girl to have some lady luck but I ended up with a Big guy, Bro Poh. Hehe…. But it turns to be a good choice as he surprised many of us with some very good trades. Cool! Oh ya, he is from Sarawak as well and I realise Sarawak produces good traders, isn’t it? Hmm… I’m from Miri, by the way. Still don’t get it??

We didn’t have a good day 1 but with some very good discussion and debates going around on day 2 and day 3, we managed to close some very good trades and achieved a final 47% portfolio growth to be the Champion. The 2nd comes a distance behind with less than 20% growth if I’m not mistaken and the 3rd achieved 7%.

Was it a great result in team event? Of course it is. Just imagine, growing 47% in just 3 nights only and it is a team effort. This is an exceptionally fantastic result.

I have to say thanks to my 3 members again namely, Malcolm, Yi Leong and Brother Poh for allowing me to lead you this time round and I believe all of us played a part in achieving this and this is not an individual glory and all of us should share the same limelight. If not because of you, I wouldn’t be able to achieve the kind of phenomenal results that we have gotten.

I look forward to working with all of you again in future and remember that all of you owe me a meal and if you don’t pay up soon, the market will punish you and when you start to wonder why is it so hard to win money in the market after OTC, you would realise that it’s because of you still have an outstanding meal which is due to me which you haven’t paid. Hehe….
