Happy Halloween everyone!

Well it's hard to narrow it down to just 31 but here is a list of movies Shelby Rinear and I are going to spend each night watching this October. Feel free to use our list if you want. Well it's been a long road but today I got the good news, I'm cancer free! I'll be having my port removed next week and from here on out it's just about surveillance. I'll be getting checkups every three months and cat scans every 6 months for the next two years at least. They said if it were to come back it's most likely to come back within two years. After that I will still have lab work and checkups done just more infrequently. But hopefully it's truly gone forever and I never have to go through this again. I want to thank everyone at Baptist MD Anderson Cancer Center for everything through this whole ordeal. Obviously chemotherapy isn't fun (I lost a bunch of hair and had the expected nausea) but with all of their guidance and the medication I was still able to work and keep doing my day to day activities which is amazing. I also need to thank Dr. Paul Walker. He is a Baptist ENT specialist out in Fleming Island who saw my swollen tonsil, felt my lymph nodes, and realized something was wrong straight away and immediately ordered a biopsy done. His knowledge and speed in diagnosis truly saved my life as it was growing so fast I'd probably be dead by now or at least in far worse condition without treatment. So yeah it's great to be cancer free and now it's time to live life to the fullest!

Photo - Just got home from my 5th chemo session. I only have one more left in 3 weeks! Some wonderful people were handing these blankets out to all the patients with letters of encouragement written by various people. I don't know who wrote my letter but thank you so much! 😁
