Have you heard the news that there might not be summer in western Europe this year?? I could have never imagined something like this could happen, is the Earth becoming the world of Game of Thrones in which winters last for years?? haha joking apart, I don't think it'll be that bad, at least in Spain. And speaking of summer it looks like it's finally starting around here so I thought it was already time to show you a dress I got a month ago from a new fave Spanish brand: Planet Palmer. Flamingo print and 50s shape, what else could I ask for?? And btw, do you like my new haircut?? :)

Habéis escuchado la notícia de que puede que no haya verano en la Europa occidental este año?? Nunca habría podido imaginar algo así podía pasar, se está convirtiendo la tierra en el mundo de Juego de Tronos dónde los inviernos duran años?? jaja bromas aparte, no creo que vaya a ser tan malo, por lo menos en España. Y hablando del verano, parece que ya está empezando por aquí así que ya era hora de enseñaros el vestido que me llegó hace un mes de mi nueva marca española favorita: Planet Palmer. It's been a few weeks since it was my blog's birthday and I hadn't done anything to celebrate yet! It's amazing how time goes by so quickly, just yesterday I was commenting with a friend how a few years ago Kate Moss and Pete Doherty were together, and Mary Kate Olsen and Sienna Miller were the top it girls with their boho chic style (and let's not forget about Cory Kennedy!). The time when there were no fashion bloggers in Spain yet and how we'd use to visit Sea of Shoes, Tavi and and Rumi Neely's blog on a daily basis haha all this was just months before I started Let me feel like a doll.

A lot of things have happened since then and I'd like to share a story I always tell. You'll have to hit the 'Click to see more' to read it!

Han pasado varias semanas desde que mi blog cumplió años y aún no he hecho nada para celebrarlo! Es increible lo rápido que pasa el tiempo, justo ayer estuve comentando con una amiga cómo hace unos años Kate Moss estaba con Pete Doherty, y Mary Kate Olsen y Siena Miller eran lo más con su estilo boho chic (y no nos olvidemos de Cory Kennedy!). La época en la que aún no había bloggers de moda en España y cómo visitabamos casi a diario Sea of Shoes, y los blogs de Tavi y Rumi Neely jaja todo esto fué solo unos meses antes de que yo empezara con Let me feel like a doll, qué tiempos!

Muchísimas cosas han pasado desde entonces y me gustaría compartir una historia que siempre cuento. Tendréis que darle al 'Click to see more' para leerla!

It's weird how much something as trivial as a blog can give you. Three years ago I received a FB message from a girl called Laia Chic (pic above), you might know her from her blog Lana Negra. She told me that she'd been a reader of my blog for some time and that she'd done a watercolor painting of one of my pics and she'd like to give it to me. She was also from Barcelona and we happened to have a common friend whom I had shared my Secondary school years and some great memories during a trip in Canada so I had to ask her about him and added her on FB. From then we started speaking but it wasn't until I went to Madrid with her and two other great girls that were friends of her that we really became friends.

Now I happen to consider her one of my best friends, but that's not the best part, the best part is the amazing people that I've known thanks to her, all of them are part of my best friends. And not only that, thanks to them I've known more great people and I couldn't be more thankful for this, it's better than any experiencie with a brand or any blog collaboration, friends are what really matters.

Es extraño cuanto algo tan banal como un blog te puede aportar. Hace tres años recibí un mensaje de FB de una chica llamada Laia Chic (foto arriba), puede que la conozcais por su blog Lana Negra. Me dijo que era lectora de mi blog desde hacía un tiempo y que había hecho una acuarela en base a una de mis fotos y que le gustaría darmela. También era de Barcelona y dió la casualidad de que teníamos un amigo en común con el que compartí mis años de la ESO y muy buenos momentos durante un viaje a Canadá así que tuve que preguntarle por él y la agregué al FB. A partir de eso empezamos a hablar pero no fue hasta que fuí a Madrid con ella y otras dos chicas geniales amigas suyas que nos hicimos amigas de verdad.

Ahora la considero una de mis mejores amigas, pero eso no es lo mejor, lo mejor es toda la gente increible que he conocido gracias a ella, todos ellos parte de mis mejores amigos. Y no sólo esto, gracias a ellos he conocido a más gente maravillosa y no podría estar más agradecida, es mejor que cualquier experiencia con una marca o cualquier colaboración con el blog, los amigos son lo que de verdad importa.

Primavera Sound 2013

I couldn't have had more fun at the Primavera Sound !! The first day was a bit light even though we had a lot of bands to see, Dinosaur Jr and Postal Service were my favorites from that night. The second night we had a blast!! I started with The Breeders, Shellac and Local Natives, continued the night at Blur, as soon as they finished we runned to see The Knife (I was so looking forward to them!) and ended up with Disclosure. And Saturday I arrived quite late to the festival, but on time to see Thee Oh Sees which were a bit disapointing but I have to say Crystal Castles and Hot Chip nailed it. I'm only posting this pic from Sito's Instagram for now, dunno if more pics will come out of the analogue camera I took with me!

No me lo podría haber pasado mejor en el Primavera Sound !! El primer día fue un poco light aunque teniamos un montón de bandas por ver, Dinosaur Jr y Postal Service fueros mis favoritos esa noche. La segunda noche lo pasamos genial!! Empecé con The Breeders, Shellac y Local Natives, continuamos en Blur, tan pronto como acabaron corrimos a ver a The Knife (tenía muchísimas ganas de verlos!) y acabamos con Disclosure. Ready for the Primavera Sound

This weekend it's the Primavera Sound here in Barcelona and I am beyond excited! Today I've been to Parc del Fòrum to get my bracelet for the festival and I was wearing my new adorable tights with a swans print (BTW, Swans, a great band that I can't miss this weekend!) which were a gift from the Italian hoisiery brand Le Flùflù and I couldn't love them more, they also sent me a lovely pair of socks you might have already seen in my Instagram that I can't wait to wear, perhaps this weekend hehe

Hoy he ido al Parc del Fòrum a buscar mi pulsera para el festival y me he puesto mis nuevas medias adorables con estampado de cisnes (POR CIERTO, Swans, un grupo genial que no puedo perderme este finde!) que fueron un regalo de la marca de medias Italiana Le Flùflù y no podrían tenerme más enamorada, también me enviaron un par de calcetines monísimos que puede que hayais visto en mi Instagram que no puedo esperar a estrenar, quizás este finde jeje

Tales of Spain

Last Thursday I started my night at the Loewe Gallery with my friend David for the presentation of the Tales of Spain collection. It was such an amazing event: we ate sushi, mini burgers and mini hot dogs, drank lots of champain an wine, I got my nails done by the super nice Ghetto Nailz girls with the Loewe nail stickers from the collection and we could also get to try the temporary tattoos. The whole gallery was full of bags, cushions, wall papers and stickers on the floor with the prints and motifs from the collection, it all looked so beautiful.

El pasado jueves empecé mi noche en la Galeria Loewe con mi amigo David para la presentación de la colección de Tales of Spain. Fue un evento genial: comimos sushi, mini burgers y mini hot dogs, bebimos mucho champagne y vino, me hicieron las uñas las chicas súper majas de Ghetto Nailz con las pegatinas para uñas de Loewe de la colección y también pudimos probar los tattoos temporales. Toda la galería estaba llena de bolsos, cojines, papeles de pared y pegatinas en el suelo con los estampados y motivos de la colección, todo se veía precioso.

Last week my friend Lucas, the editor of MissRobin, asked me to model for a shooting he had to do for his final project that took place at the Barceloneta beach so I couldn't help but ask Helena, the photographer, to take some outfit pics of what I was wearing! I think I had never showed this dress around here, it is from Asos and even though I got it last year I have to share a great website I recently discovered: Cupones.es. You'll find discount codes for so many websites I'm sure you already love, I've already used the discount from Asos, but I've also fallen in love with the Mellow Yellow Nadia sandals at Sarenza and I might get them cheaper if I use any of the codes below!

La semana pasada mi amigo Lucas, el editor de MissRobin, me pidió si le podía hacer de modelo para una cosa de su priyecto final en la playa de la Barceloneta así que tuve que pedirle a Helena, la fotográfa, que me sacase algunas fotos de lo que llevaba puesto! Miu Miu lover

I recently got another pair of Miu Miu shoes, this time they're a gorgeous pair of glitter sandals from SS2012 that I found on eBay for even a lower price than my other Miu Mius! This is something that's made me realize how during the past few months I haven't been buying so many clothes, which is something my pocket must be proud of, but the thing is that I've just stopped buying at low cost stores and I'm just constantly saving up all the money I used to spend at Asos or Topshop (not that I stopped buying there, just in a much more moderate way) and invest it in quality pieces that even though go out of fashion will still have value in the future, and obviously the quality is diferent, and I certainly won't be able to find any statement pieces at Zara or H&M.

So the thing is that I'd love to know what you people prefer, quality or quantity?? I know not everybody can afford the quality but do you think you would be able to give up on the low cost to be able to afford some designer clothes from now and then or you don't care about that?? Maybe it's me that I'm developing some kind of low cost allergy haha

Recientemente me compré otro par de zapatos de Miu Miu, esta vez son un precioso par de sandalias de purpurina de SS2012 que encontré en eBay a un precio aún más bajo que mis otros Miu Mius! Es algo que me ha hecho darme cuenta de cómo no he estado comprando casi ropa los últimos meses, que es algo de lo que mi bolsillo debería estar orgulloso, pero el caso es que sólo he dejado de comprar en tiends low cost y estoy constantemente ahorrando el dinero que solía gastar en Asos o Topshop (no es que haya dejado de comprar allí, sólo que de una forma mucho más moderada) e invertirlo en piezas de calidad que aunque se pasen de moda aún tendrán valor en el futuro, y obviamente la calidad es distinta y ciertamente no voy a poder encontrar prendas "statement" en Zara o H&M.

La cosa es que me gustaría saber qué preferís vosotros/as, calidad o candidad?? Sé que no todo el mundo se puede permitir la calidad pero creeis que seriais capaces de renunciar al low cost para poder permitiros algo de diseñador de vez en cuando o eso os da completamente igual?? Quizás soy yo que estoy desarrollando una especie de alergia al low cost haha

Last Wednesday I was invited to a workshop for bloggers organised by Smash! to introduce us to what they called the Happy Bcn Style. They had previously organised a Design Contest at which my friend and classmate Albert is one of the three finalists! And our duty during the workshop was to customize a tote bag with what inspires us about Barcelona and I made a flamingo because I love flamingos (and also there are some at the zoo! haha)

Anteriormente habían organizado un Concurso de Diseño en el cual mi amigo y compañero de clase Albert es uno de los tres finalestas! Last Friday I turned 22 and I feel sorry I didn't say anything on time because now you'll all have to wish me a happy belated birthday but I was too busy preparing my bday party, oops! When I was a child I loved wearing dungarees, that little obsession of mine started when I watched It Takes Two for the first time, remember the movie with Olsen twins?? Mary Kate's toymboy-ish character fascinated me, I loved how rude and adorable at the same time she was. I was a bit of a tomboy myself, I loved climbing on trees and wearing boy-ish clothes and I remember how much I loved wearing my dungarees with a pink t-shirt underneath just like she Mary Kate does in the film and that's what I couldn't wait to do when I received my new dungarees from The Whitepepper which I got via Asos.

Cuando era una niña me encantaba llevar peto, esta pequeña obsesión empezó cuando ví Dos por el precio de una por primera vez, os acordais de la peli de las Olsens?? El personaje marimacho de Mary Kate me fascinaba, me encantaba lo basta y adorable que era al mismo tiempo. Yo también era un poco marimacho de pequeña, me encantaba subirme a árboles y llevar ropa de chico y me acuerdo lo mucho que me gustaba llevar mi peto con una camiseta rosa debajo justo como Mary Kate en la peli y es lo que no podía esperar a hacer cuando me llegó mi nuevo peto de The Whitepepper que me compré en Asos.

A few days ago I told you I had my first experience buying at Zalando and I couldn't be happier about it! They sell some of my favorite brands and I fell in love with this gorgeous RED Valentino heels, but who doesn't love the brand? You already saw them in my Instagram but I really wanted them to debut 'officialy' so here they are! I know they're not my first shoes with daisies but I can't help myself, don't you see I'm wearing flowers everywhere ??? As for the round sunglasses, I'm not quite sure about how they look on me haha

Swinging in the backyard

First days of Spring and I couldn't be happier about summer getting closer! Yesterday I borrowed my aunt's bicycle to take a ride which I'm pretty sure I'll be using all summer (if she lends it to me hehe). I really felt like wearing an spring-y outfit already so I took all my light denim clothes that I only wear in summer and finally got to wear my new oxfords from Office that I got in the Xmas sale for £5, true story! Primeros días de Primavero y no podría estar más feliz porqué queda menos para verano! Ayer tomé prestada la bici de mi tía que estoy bastante convencida de que la voy a usar todo el verano (si me la deja jeje). Tenía muchas ganas de ponerme ropa primaveral así que cogí toda mi ropa tejana clara que solo llevo en verano y finalmente estrené mis oxfords nuevas de Office que las compré en las rebajas de Navidad por £5, de verdad! Sunday happiness

When you're single Sundays are not one of the best days of the week but during my weekend in London I spent one of the best Sundays of my life with Lucas, Dídac and Elsa in Brighton. We went to the Biba exhibit (I'm keeping those pics for another post), had lunch at a delicious organic food restaurant which Dunya recommended and had some fun during the sunset at the Pier!

Cuando estás soltera los domingos no son uno de los mejores días de la semana pero durante mi finde en Londres pasé uno de los mejores domingos de mi vida con Lucas, Dídac y Elsa en Brighton. Fuimos a la expo de Biba (estoy guardando esas imágenes para otro post), comimos en un restaurante de comida orgánica delicioso que Dunya nos había recomendado y nos lo pasamos genial durante la puesta de sol en el Pier!

Brighton rocks

During my weekend in London last month we spent the Sunday in Brighton. I was pretty excited about that because I had never been to Brighton and it looked so beautiful in pictures (and in Quadrophenia haha) that I really wanted to go and I have to say it wasn't disappointing at all, I'll show you what we did in a few days, this is my outfit for the tourist day in the English shore with a skirt that I made :)

I want pink for this spring

Even if this is your first time here I'm sure you'll have already thought that I'm such a sucker for pink, and that's true. It's the colour of fun, of feminism and it surely looks great with everything, that's why I am already willing to expand my pink clothes collection. Recently I've had my first experience buying at Zalando (more on that soon) and after seeing some spring-y things I've done a wishlist like I do from time to time. The first thing I've been most obessed about recently it's a hot pink satchel just like the on in the collage from Picard, I love that the edges are yellow, the second thing I really love/want is the new LimeCrime lipstick and the rest of things don't need an introduction!

Aunque esta sea tu primera vez aquí estoy segura de que ya habrás pensado que tengo debilidad por el rosa, y es cierto. Es el color de la diversión, del feminismo y queda genial con todo, por eso mismo estoy deseando ampliar mi colección de ropa rosa. Recientemente he tenido mi primera experienda comprando en Zalando (más sobre eso próximamente) y tras empezar a ver ya cositas de primavera he hecho un wishlist de los míos. La primera cosa que me ha tenido más obsesionada ultimamente es un satchel en fucsia justo como el de collage que es de Picard, me encanta que tenga los cantos amarillos, la segunda cosa que me encanta/quiero es el nuevo labial de LimeCrime y el resto de cosas no necesitan introducción!

Meadham Kirchhoff AW13 fashion show

I am being so slow uploading my pics from the weekend in London but we did so many things! Next posts will include pics from beautiful Brighton so this is the last LFW post :) The title speaks for itself, these are a few pics I took at the Meadham Kirchhoff fashion show that I am still now sure if we were really there or not, it was so quick I didn't have time to believe we were!

Estoy siendo muy lenta subiendo las fotos de mi finde en London pero es que hicimos tantas cosas! Los próximos posts incluirán fotos de Brighton así que este es el último de la LFW :) El título habla por si mismo, son varias fotos que saqué en el desfile de Meadham Kirchhoff que aún no estoy segura de si realmente estuvimos allí o no, fue tan rápido que no tuve tiempo de creermelo!

London Fashion Week AW13 streetstyle

I've been very busy this week getting the styling for a photo session we're doing on Saturday so keep an eye on Instagram because I'm surely going to post a few pictures! Meanwhile I have to admit that this is one of the things I was most excited about going to London during the fashion week, I was really curious about what would people wear. Actually I was really hoping that we would get to spot some of my favorite it girls such as Ulyana Sergeenko and Eleonora Carisi, we weren't that lucky we got to spot Anna Wintour before the Burberry Prorsum fashion show! Esta semana he estado muy ocupada preparando el estilismo para una sesión de fotos que tenemos el sábado así que estad atentos al Instagram porqué seguramente subiré algunas fotos! De mientras debo admitir que esta es una de las cosas que me tenía más emocionada acerca de ir a Londres durante la fashion week, tenía mucha curiosidad sobre qué iba a llevar la gente. De hecho estaba deseando que pudieramos ver a algunas de mis it girls favoritas como Ulyana Sergeenko o Eleonora Carisi, no tuvimos esa suerte pero si vimos a Anna Wintour antes del desfile de Burberry Prorsum! Burgers and bloggers

So the day I went to the Orla Kiely presentation in London I got to meet two lovely bloggers I've known for some time: Carrie from WishWishWish and Dunya from Dearest Deer. We quickly agreed to go have some burgers for lunch and they took Lucas and I to Byron (I highly recomend, the burger was delicious!), after lunch we headed to the Somerset House where Carrie knew a very quiet corner perfect so that we could all get out outfit pics of that day taken, it was very interesting to see how somebody whose blog I've been reading for such a long time get the pics she'd post later, actually Carrie and Dunya reminded me a bit of when Laia Chic and I would do the same in summer haha

Pues el día que fuí a la presentación de Orla Kiely en Londres pude conocer a dos bloggers que conozco desde hace un tiempo: Carrie de WishWishWish y Dunya de Dearest Deer. Rápidamente nos pusimos deacuerdo para ir a comernos unas hamburguesas y nos llevaron a Lucas y a mi a Byron (muy recomendado, la hamburguesa estaba deliciosa!), después de comer fuimos al Somerset House dónde Carrie conocía un rincón muy tranquilo perfecto para sacarnos nuestras fotos de look, fue muy interesante ver como alguien cuyo blog he leído durante tanto tiempo tener las fotos que colgaría luego, de hecho Carrie y Dunya me recordaron un poco a Laia Chic y a mi cuando hacíamos lo mismo en verano jaja

The day we went to the Orla Kiely presentation we stopped by the Somerset House after lunch to see the Fashion Week atmosphere, I'm sorry to say I'll keep that and who we had lunch with for another post but today you'll get to see what I was wearing for such an especial day (as if I was getting married! lol). I've only got a couple of things from Orla Kiely so I had to wear this cardigan that actually had never had an appearance here, I was so happy when I saw that it matched my new Boutique by Jaeger suit perfectly!

El día que fuimos a la presentación de Orla Kiely nos pasamos por el Somerset House después de la comida para ver el ambiente de la Fashion Week, siento decir que voy a guardar eso y con quién comimos para otro post pero hoy podréis ver qué me puse para ese día tan especial (ni que me fuese a casar! jaja). Sólo tengo un par de cosas de Orla Kiely así que tenía que ponerme este cardigan que de hecho no había salido nunca por aquí, me alegré mucho cuando ví que quedaba perfecto con mi nuevo conjunto de Boutique by Jaeger!

Orla Kiely presentation

One of the things I was the most excited about my trip to London this weekend was that I would have the chance to go to the Orla Kiely AW 2013-14 presentation, and you know how much I love Orla Kiely! It was like a dream, all the models were looking perfect, like secretaries from and advertising company of the 60s (reminded me so much of Mad Men) typing and changing shifts. The styling was by Leith Clark, the editor of Lula in case you didn't know, who was also around there. I was of course wearing one of the two only things by Orla Kiely that I own and Lucas was my companion covering the event for MissRobin.

Una de las cosas que me tenían más emocionada de mi viaje a Londres este finde era que tendría la oportunidad de ir a la presentación de Orla Kiely AW 2013-14, y vosotros sabéis cuanto me gusta Orla Kiely! Era como un sueño, todas las modelos lucían perfectas, como secretarias de una compañía de publicidad de los 60s (me recordó tanto a Mad Men) escribiendo y cambiando turnos. El estilismo era de Leith Clark,la editora de Lula por si no la conociais, que estaba también por allí. Yo por supuesto llevaba una de las dos únicas cosas de Orla Kiely que tengo y Lucas fue mi acompañante cubriendo el evento para MissRobin.

And btw! The shoes are from Kurt Geiger, aren't they cute??
