Juneteenth is one of those holidays that deserves both celebration and reflection. Our free Juneteenth SVG features a simple design with the word “Juneteenth” and the year 1865, the year that enslaved people in Galveston, Texas, finally learned they were free—more than two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed.

Today, Juneteenth is celebrated on June 19 and commemorates the end of slavery in the United States. It’s a day to honor Black history, celebrate freedom, gather with family and community, and recognize that the fight for equality and justice continues. As the saying goes, none of us are truly free until all of us are free!

As we’ve mentioned in some of our other holiday and cultural SVG posts, we’re making a conscious effort to create files that represent a wider variety of experiences, traditions, and communities. Not every file we create reflects our own backgrounds, but we want more people to be able to find something meaningful when they visit our site!

When putting together this post, I looked for free Juneteenth SVGs created by Black designers that I could share alongside this file. We live near a golf course, but golf isn’t really a big thing in our family…yet. A few months ago, I shared my Spring 2026 Craft & Handmade Trends, and it’s been fun to watch what has stuck around, what has evolved, and what seems to be emerging as we head into summer.

Some trends from spring are definitely still going strong. One of my favorite things about putting these trend reports together is that they aren’t based on a single forecast or prediction. They’re a combination of trend reports, what I’m seeing in stores, what keeps showing up on social media, what makers are creating, and honestly, the things that make me stop scrolling and say, “Okay, why am I suddenly seeing this everywhere?”

Of course, trends are meant to inspire, not dictate what you create. You don’t need to redesign your entire craft room or abandon your favorite style. But if you’re looking for inspiration for your next project, gift, home décor piece, or handmade business product line, these are the Summer 2026 trends that I’m seeing everywhere right now!

1. Riviera-Inspired Palette

This year, summer colors feel like they’ve been pulled straight from a sun-soaked Mediterranean vacation. Marine blues, warm terracotta, tomato red, lemony yellows, olive greens, and creamy whites are showing up across home décor, fashion, stationery, and handmade products.

This isn’t your mother’s 1990s Italian winery aesthetic—this summer’s inspiration is lighter, brighter, and a lot more playful, with sun-soaked Riviera vibes, bold color moments, and plenty of personality layered in. Suddenly everything feels like it belongs in a little seaside café on the Amalfi Coast.

Note that we have seen a LOT of pink in the past few years, and there is still a lot of pink hanging around. You can definitely play around with some of the other trends in this post with the coquette pink palette we’ve been seeing, too!

2. La Dolce Vita

Yes, this trend feels like one of the biggest visual stories of Summer 2026. If you’ve noticed all the “La Dolce Vita” designs, lemons, lobsters, sardines, striped umbrellas, and vintage travel posters showing up lately, you’re already seeing this color trend in action! Here are even more examples (plus a few examples using pink!):

We’re seeing coastal influences evolve beyond basic beachy décor into something that feels more European vacation—think the Amalfi Coast, seaside cafés, striped umbrellas, travel posters, lemon branches, ceramic tiles, and sun-faded colors. We’re also seeing a lot of lobsters, sardines, crabs, starfish, shells, anchovies, and pasta.

3. Stripes

Stripes were already having a moment in spring, but they showed up in a different way then—softer, more coquette-inspired, a little more delicate and playful in styling. For summer, that same stripe trend has evolved!

Now I’m seeing stripes leaning much more into this Riviera-inspired style (if you can’t tell, I think this is going to be really popular this year!). Think striped beach towels, cabana umbrellas, and café awnings.

What I love about this shift is how often stripes are being used as a background element instead of the main focus. They set the scene for customization or travel-inspired graphics, instantly giving everything that sun-soaked coastal energy.

Stripes aren’t going anywhere—they’ve just gotten a summer vacation upgrade. I also bet we’ll see them in fall and winter this year as well.

4. Matisse-Inspired Designs

Continuing on in our journey throughout this part of Europe, we’re seeing a lot of designs that are Matisse-inspired. Henri Matisse (1869–1954) was a French artist who completely changed the way people think about color and shape in art. He’s one of the most important painters of the 20th century, and you can still feel his influence everywhere today.

Think bold yet organic shapes, painterly cut-outs, playful florals, abstract leaves, and that unmistakable mix of saturated color and creamy negative space. Our color palette for the season works perfectly with these types of designs.

For handmade creators, this trend is showing up everywhere: art prints, tees, laser cut shapes, decals, and home décor pieces that lean into those bold abstract forms.

5. Greek Island Blues

We’re continuing on in Europe! If there’s one color family that keeps showing up the most this summer, it’s marine blues. From deep cobalt and Mediterranean-inspired azure to softer ocean hues, blue is having a major moment! In addition to France and Italy, we’re also seeing a lot of white and blue greek style. I noticed it most clearly at Michael’s recently, with their Jonathan Adler collection, but I’ve seen it elsewhere as well!

Think Santorini: crisp white buildings, brilliant blue domes, tiled patterns, sun motifs, and endless sea views. It’s clean, bright, and instantly transports you somewhere sunny.

6. Bag Charms

We’ve finally moved on from Europe to some specific products, but you’ll see that a lot of the European vacation vibes we’re seeing above will be featured in different ways.

Keychains and charm bracelets have been trending for a while, and now we’re seeing them combined to make cute custom bag charms!

I think this is partly because it fits really naturally into this broader vacation-inspired aesthetic we’re seeing right now. There’s something about a bag charm clipped onto a striped beach tote or straw bag that just feels very “on vacation.” Layer charms, mix colors, and add little pieces that feel meaningful, nostalgic, or just cute.

For makers, this is such a fun category because it’s small, giftable, and endlessly customizable. Sell the entire bag charm or just individual pieces for people to add to their own bag charms!

7. Whimsy in the Home

For years, many homes leaned heavily neutral, minimal, and—if we’re being honest—a little safe.

Now? People are ready for fun!

I’m seeing shoppers gravitate toward small, unexpected pieces that feel playful and full of personality: decorative switch plates, quirky wall hooks, colorful catch-all trays, fun framed art, and all those little details that make a space feel lived in instead of staged.

And this summer especially, I’m noticing a big La Dolce Vita influence sneaking in too—think cute lobster prints, whimsical lobsters, lemons, striped everything, and those charming little European market-style motifs that feel like they were picked up on vacation.

8. Scrapbooking & Junk Journals

There’s been a really interesting shift lately back toward analog hobbies, and scrapbooking is right at the center of it. After years of everything living on our phones, people are starting to want something they can actually hold again.

It fits perfectly with the summer travel vibe too—vacations, day trips, and everyday little adventures suddenly feel like they’re worth saving. Ticket stubs, postcards, printed photos, pressed flowers, little notes…all those small pieces that used to end up in a drawer now feel like part of the story.

What I love is how this ties into the bigger nostalgia trend we’re seeing. It feels fresh for Gen Z and nostalgic for Millenials and Gen X.

For makers, this is such a fun category because anything that helps people document or decorate their memories—stickers, ephemera kits, washi tape—fits right in.

9. Updated Bandanas

Bandana prints are showing up in a fresh way for summer. Traditionally I feel like they lean country-western or classic Americana, but I’m seeing a softer, more beachy version that fits this summer a little better.

It still has that familiar bandana structure—paisleys, borders, and motifs—but it feels lighter and more coastal, like something tied to a beach tote, worn over a swimsuit, or styled as easy festival wear in the summer heat.

There’s also a subtle Americana thread running through this, especially as we head toward America’s 250th anniversary celebrations. It feels like a modern take on classic American motifs—nostalgic, but updated for a more relaxed, summer-by-the-water vibe.

For makers, it’s a great pattern to play with across totes, apparel, prints, and seasonal décor because it bridges vintage familiarity with a very current, coastal feel.

10. Bubble Letters

This one feels a little unexpected, but once you see it, you start noticing it everywhere in jewelry, keychains, wall decor, and more!

This one could be so cute combined with the scrapbooking elements or in the summer color palette. The ceramic letters would be so cute in some of the Riviera patterns we’re seeing!

If you’ve been looking for a typography trend to experiment with this summer, this might be it!

Follow the Trends…or Not!

The best part of all of this is…you don’t have to follow all of the trends!

In fact, I think they’re most useful as inspiration. Maybe you’re suddenly inspired to add some Greek Island Blues to your next project. Maybe you’re now eyeing every striped beach towel you see. Or maybe you’re halfway through this post wondering if you need a cute sardine motif on absolutely everything.

(It’s okay. Me too.)

The goal isn’t to completely change your style every season. It’s to notice what’s catching your eye, borrow the elements you love, and use them in a way that feels authentic to you and your business. Sometimes that’s a whole project. Sometimes it’s just a color palette, a pattern, or a little detail that sparks a new idea.

One of my favorite things about putting these quarterly trend reports together is looking back and seeing how trends evolve. Some stick around and grow into something bigger (stripes!), while others take an unexpected turn from one season to the next. And honestly, that’s what makes them so fun to watch!

I’m not usually a summer person—spending most of my life in the CA central valley gave me enough sun to last a lifetime. Give me cozy sweaters and rainy days most of the year and I’m pretty happy.
