7. NONDISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION CONCERNING BUSINESS

Employee will not at any time, in any fashion, form, or manner, either directly or indirectly divulge, disclose, or communicate to any person, firm, or corporation in any manner whatsoever any information of any kind, nature, or description concerning any matters affecting or relating to the business of employer, including, without limitation, the names of any its customers, the prices it obtains or has obtained, or at which it sells or has sold its products, or any other information concerning the business of employer, its manner of operation, or its plans, processes, or other date of any kind, nature, or description without regard to whether any or all of the foregoing matters would be deemed confidential, material, or important. The parties hereby stipulate that, as between them, the foregoing matters are important, material, and confidential, and gravely affect the effective and successful conduct of the business of employer, and its good will, and that any breach of the terms of this section is a material breach of this agreement.

8. OPTION TO TERMINATE ON PERMANENT DISABILITY OF EMPLOYEE

Not withstanding anything in this agreement to the contrary, employer is hereby given the option to terminate this agreement in the event that during the term hereof employee shall become permanently disabled, as the term "permanently disabled" is hereinafter fixed and defined. Such option shall be exercised by employer giving notice to employee by registered mail, addressed to him in care of employer at the above stated address, or at such other address as employee shall designate in writing, of its intention to terminate this agreement on the last day ofthe month during which such notice is mailed. On the giving of such notice this agreement and the term hereof shall cease and come to an end on the last day of the month in which the notice is mailed, with the same force and effect as if such last day of the month were the date originally set forth as the termination date. For purposes of this agreement, employee shall be deemed to have become permanently disabled if, during any year of the term hereof, because of ill health, physical or mental disability, or for other causes beyond his control, he shall have been continuously unable or unwilling or have failed to perform his duties hereunder for thirty (30) consecutive days, or if, during anyyear of the term hereof, he shall have been unable or unwilling or havefailed to perform his duties for a total period of thirty (30) days,whether consecutive or not. For the purposes hereof, the term "any year of the term hereof" is defined to mean any period of 12 calendar months commencing on the first day of _____ and terminating on the last day of __________ of the following year during the term hereof.

9. DISCONTINUANCE OF BUSINESS AS TERMINATION OF EMPLOYMENT

Anything herein contained to the contrary notwithstanding, in the eventthat employer shall discontinue operations at the premises mentioned above, then this agreement shall cease and terminate as of the last day of the month in which operations cease with the same force and effect as if such last day of the month were originally set forth as the termination date hereof.

10. EMPLOYEE'S COMMITMENTS BINDING ON EMPLOYER ONLY ON WRITTEN CONSENT

Employee shall not have the right to make any contracts or other commitments for or on behalf of employer without the written consent of employer

11. CONTRACT TERMS TO BE EXCLUSIVE

This written agreement contains the sole and entire agreement between the parties, and supersedes any and all other agreements between them. The parties acknowledge and agree that neither of them has made any representation with respect to the subject matter of this agreement or any representations inducing the execution and delivery hereof except such representations as are specifically set forth herein, and each party acknowledges that he or it has relied on his or its own judgment in entering into the agreement. The parties further acknowledge that anystatements or representations that may have heretofore been made byeither of them to the other are void and of no effect and that neitherof them has relied thereon in connection with his or its dealings withthe other.

7. LARANGAN PENGUNGAPAN INFORMASI MENGENAI USAHA

Pihak kedua tidak boleh setiap saat, kapanpun,, dalam segala cara, bentuk, atau metode, baik secara langsung atau tidak langsung, membocorkan, mengungkapkan, atau memberitahukan kepada siapapun, badan usaha, atau perusahaan manapun dengan metode apapun mengenai jenis, bentuk, atau informasi penjelasan apaun mengenai hal-hal apapun yang mempengaruhi atau berhubungan orang, perusahaan, atau korporasi dengan cara apapun informasi dalam bentuk apapun, alam, atau keterangan mengenai segala hal yang mempengaruhi atau berkaitan dengan bisnis perusahaan pihak pertama, termasuk, nama dari para pelanggan, harga berubah atau yang telah ditetapkan, atau yang dimana dengan harga tersebut, pihak pertama senantiasa menjual atau telah menjual produknya, atau informasi lain mengenai bisnis pihak pertama, yang cara operasi bisnisnya, atau perencanaan proses atau data lain dalam bentuk, sifat atau deskripsi apapun tanpa memperhatikan apakah salah satu atau seluruh dari hal tersebut diatas dianggap rahasia, berharga dan penting. Bersama ini kedua belah pihakmenyetujui bahwa diantara mereka hal tersebut diatas adalah penting, material dan rahasia dan dengan serius mempengaruhi perilaku efektif dan kesuksesan keberlangsungan bisnispihak pertama, itikad baik dan bahwa setiap pelanggaran syarat-syarat pada bagian ini dianggap sebagi pelanggaran yang pentingdalam perjanjian ini.

8. PILIHAN PEMUTUSAN PADA CACAT SEUMUR HIDUP PIHAK KEDUA

Tidak menahan apa pun dalam perjanjian ini atau sebaliknya, pihak pertama dengan ini memberikan pilihan untuk mengakhiri perjanjian ini dalam hal itu bahwa selama jangka waktu perjanjian ini, pihak kedua yang menjadi cacat seumur hidup, seperti istilah "cacat permanen" selanjutnya tetap dan didefinisikan. Pilihan tersebut harus dilaksanakan oleh pihak pertama dengan memberikan pemberitahuan kepada pihak kedua melalui surat tercatat, yang ditujukan kepadanya dalam perawatan dari pihak pertama di alamat yang tertera di atas, atau di alamat lain seperti pihak kedua harus menunjukan secara tertulis, mengenai keinginannya untuk mengakhiri perjanjian ini pada hari terakhir dalam sebulan dimana pemberitahuan tersebut dikirimkan. Dalam pemberian pemberitahuan ini, tersebut perjanjian ini dan istilah ini akan berhenti dan berakhir pada hari terakhir dari bulan dimana pemberitahuan tersebut dikirimkan, dengan gaya yang sama dan efek seolah-olah seperti hari terakhir pada sebulan adalah tanggal awal yang ditetapkan sebagai tanggal terminasi. Untuk tujuan dari perjanjian ini, pihak kedua akan dianggap telah menjadi cacat seumur hidup jika, dalam setiap tahun dari perjanjian ini, karena kesehatan yang buruk, cacat fisik atau mental, atau penyebab lain di luar kendalinya, ia akan terus menerus tidak mampu atau tidak bersedia atau gagal untuk melaksanakan tugasnya di bawah ini selama tiga puluh (30) hari berturut-turut, atau jika, selama setiap tahun dari perjanjian ini, ia tidak mampu atau tidak bersedia atau ghttp://www.blogger.com/img/blank.gifagal dalam melaksanakan tugasnya untuk jangka waktu tiga puluh (30) hari , baik berturut-turut atau tidak. 9. PEMUTUSAN BISNIS SEBAGAI PENGHENTIAN KERJA

Apa pun yang terkandung di sini yang bertentangan sekalipun, dalam hal pihak pertama akan menghentikan operasi di tempat yang disebutkan di atas, maka perjanjian ini akan berhenti dan diakhiri pada hari terakhir dari satu bulan di mana operasi dihentikan dengan kekuatan yang sama dan efek seolah-olah seperti hari terakhir di bulan tersebut awalnya ditetapkan sebagai tanggal berakhirnya perjanjian ini.

10. KOMITMEN PIHAK KEDUA MENGIKAT PIHAK PERTAMA HANYA DALAM PERSETUJUAN TERTULIS

Pihak kedua tidak memiliki hak untuk membuat kontrak atau komitmen lain untuk atau atas nama pihak pertama tanpa persetujuan tertulis dari pihak pertama.

11. SYARAT KONTRAK MENJADI EKSKLUSIF

Perjanjian tertulis ini berisi perjanjian tunggal dan perjanjian menyeluruh antara kedua belah pihak, dan penggantian dari sebagian atau keseuruhan dari perjanjian lain diantara mereka. Kedua belah pihak mengakui dan setuju bahwa dari mereka telah membuat setiap representasi sehubungan dengan subyek perjanjian ini atau pernyataan apapun yang mendorong terjadinya eksekusi dan pengiriman perjanjian ini kecuali representasi seperti secara spesifik yang mengatur di dalamnya, dan masing-masing pihak mengakui bahwa ia memiliki atau mengandalkan penilaian sendiri dalam memasuki perjanjian. Kedua belah pihak juga tahu bahwa setiap pernyataan atau representasi yang mungkin sampai sekarang telah dibuat oleh salah satu dari mereka untuk yang lain adalah batal dan tidak berlaku dan bahwa keduanya telah bergantung pada perjanjian yang berhubungan dengan atau berurusan dengan yang lainnya.

4. DURATION OF EMPLOYMENT

Employee expressly agrees that during the term hereof he will not be interested, directly or indirectly, in any form, fashion, or manner, as partner, officer, director, stockholder, advisor, employee, or in any other form or capacity, in any other business similar to employer's business or any allied trade, except that nothing herein contained shall be deemed to prevent or limit the right of employee to invest any of his surplus funds in the capital stock or other securities of any corporation whose stock or securities are publicly owned or are regularly traded on any public exchange, nor shall anything herein contained by deemed to prevent employee from investing or limit employee's right to invest his surplus funds in real estate.

3. TATA CARA PELAKSANAAN TUGAS-TUGAS PIHAK KEDUA

Pihak kedua harus selalu setia, tekun dan sesuai dengan kemampuan , pengalaman dan bakat terbaiknay, melaksanakan seluruh tugas-tugasnya yang mungkin dibutuhkan darinya dengan mematuhi syrat-syarat yang tersurat dan tersirat dalam perjanjian ini yng dengan ini memuaskan pihak pertama. Tugas-tugas tersebut harus diterima dikantor yang disebutkan diatas ditempat-tempat lainnya sebaimana yang pihak pertama minta dengan itikad baik demi kepentingan, kebutuhan, usaha dan kesempatan yang dianjurkan oleh pihak pertama.

4. MASA JABATAN PEKERJAAN

Pihak pertama harus mencurahkan seluruh waktu, perhatian, pengetahuan, dan kemampuannya semata-mata dan secara ekslusif kepada perusahaan dan kepentingan pihak pertama, dan pihak kedua berhak atas semua keuntungan, pembayaran, laba , atau hal lain yang timbul dari atau kejadian dari setiap dan semua pekerjaan, layanan dan anjuran pihak atas kedua.pihak kedua menyatakan setuju bahwa selama jangka waktu perjanjian ini pihak kedua tidak akan tertarik, secara langsung atau tidak langsung, dalam bentuk apapun, fashion, atau sikap, sebagai mitra, pejabat, direktur, pemegang saham, penasehat, karyawan, atau dalam bentuk lain atau kekuatan, dalam setiap perusahaan lain yang serupa dengan perusahaan pihak pertama atau perdagangan sekutu, kecuali tidak tercantum di sini harus dianggap mencegah atau membatasi hak karyawan untuk menginvestasikan dana berlebih di saham atau surat berharga atu surat berharga lainnya dari badan hukum yang saham atau surat berharga adalah milik umum atau dianggap untuk mencegah pihak kedua dari menginvestasikan atau membatasi hak pihak kedua untuk menginvestasikan kelebihan dana didalam real estate.

SERVICE AGREEMENT DOCUMENT

Agreement is held between:

1. Woman’s Era Magazine (delegated as service provider)
2. Miss. Susanne Butler (delegated as customer)

The subscription to the service qualifies the rules and regulations integrated within the document and stands on the mutual agreement of the service provider and customer wherein the former promises to provide a door step service to the latter.

Outline of the service:

    The service providing company will appoint its own officials to deliver a copy of the magazine to the customer’s house.
    The service will be conducted every week, that is, 4 times per month, and the service period will be effectuated from 7th May, 2011 till 7th October, 2011.
    The service will include couriers of special gifts dispatched from the office.

Conditions:

    The subscription charges shall be paid within 4th April, 2011 in cheque by post or in person to the office headquarters which is located on 5, Gender Street, US.
    The subscription charge per month is $50.00 and the magazine charge is $30.00 which amounts to $80.00 which shall have to be paid altogether. Thus the total fee is $480.00.

LEASE DOCUMENT

This lease document is a testament to the agreement between Dina Jones of 45 West Harley Street, New England [henceforth referred to as the lessor] and Roberta Jenkins of 7th Appleton Square, New York [henceforth referred to the lessee] regarding the leasing of an apartment situated at 34B Bond Road, New York by the lessor. The lease deal is of the duration of five years starting from the 5th of June 2011 to the 5th of June 2016. The initial down payment of $100000 has been made by the lessee through cheque [number: 7346756]. The remaining monthly rent and other dues shall be paid by her accordingly.

The apartment is built on an area of 1300 square feet. No furnishings are being given as part of the leased apartment. Electricity and gas connection are already present. However, the lessee shall pay for these amenities during the course of the lease contract. Any damage caused to the property shall be atoned for by the lessee, if the damage occurs during the period of the lease. The apartment is to be used for family occupancy only and any breach of contact shall be penalized.

In this section I will attempt to analyse the concept “The Soul of the World” can be viewed from Plato’s Cosmology: The Timaeus.

To realize one's destiny is a person's only real obligation. All things are one. "And, when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it."

This statement, which Melchizedek says to Santiago upon their first meeting, forms the foundation of the philosophy of The Alchemist. Essentially, Melchizedek says that dreams are not silly or selfish desires that should be ignored. Instead, they serve as the primary means by which people can get in touch with the mystical force that connects everything in the universe. He convinces Santiago that his nagging desire to visit the pyramids is actually a calling, and he sets Santiago on his journey of spiritual discovery. By associating seemingly selfish human desires with the soul of the universe, The Alchemist presents a form of spirituality that differs radically from traditional religions that espouse self-denial. Instead of practicing sympathy by identifying with and helping others, Santiago must focus on his own personal dreams.

This quote also introduces the concept of the soul of the universe, which characters refer to later in the novel as the Soul of the World. This entity becomes extremely important later in the book, as it is the spirit that Santiago must connect with in order to turn into the wind. The quote alludes to the idea that a person’s purpose in life centers on fulfilling one’s desires, a notion that also becomes important in the form of the Personal Legend. Although this quotation doesn’t mention these ideas by name, it lays the groundwork for Santiago’s and the reader’s later understanding of them.

According to Plato’s Cosmology: The Timaeus, the concept of the soul of the universe is the concept about the demiurge created air and water, and arranged all four elements proportionally: as fire is to air, air is to water; as air is to water, water is to earth. In the novel, the spirit that Santiago must connect with in order to turn into the wind, because the wind is the part of the four elements.

To create the Universe, the Demiourgos carried out a number of tasks, more or less simultaneously. He mixed the body of the Universe, using the four proto-elements of earth, air, fire and water, and agitated it ‘like a shaking machine’, thus causing the elements to become separated and purified. In this way, he formed the Sun, Moon, planets and stars, which he set in seven concentric bands around the Earth.

At the same time, the Demiourgos mixed the soul of the Universe, which he planted in the centre, in the Earth, and then extended outwards, thereby energising the Sun, Moon, planets and stars. Finally, he wrapped this soul-substance around the outside of the Universe so that it totally surrounded the sphere, and he set the sphere of the Universe spinning upon itself, round and round in a circular motion.

All of these things the Demiourgos created according to ‘a symphony of proportion’, employing Pythagorean mathematical relationships as the basis for cosmic order.

As discussed earlier, the whole visible Universe was a cipher for the invisible realm of the ‘other world’, personified by the Demiourgos, and the challenge for man was to decipher the riddle in order to pave the way for the return of his soul to unity with God.

Humas harus melakukan pendekatan cara hubungn pemerintah (Government Relation), Government Relations merupakan suatu hubungan perusahaan dengan pemerintah pemerintah, yang erat hubungannya dengan lembaga legislatif, peraturan pemerintah dimana dalam hal ini, PR memerlukan keahliah khusus untuk mencapai hasil positif yang dapat di terima oleh publik melalui perencanaan pemerintahan. GR dapat bergerak dalam bidang-bidang seperti alokasi, kesehatan, pertahanan, energi, lingkungan, jasa keuangan, keamanan dalam negeri, kebijakan pajak, telekomunikasi dan transportasi.

Praktisi PR dalam hal ini bertugas untuk menjadi konsultan/memecahkan/menasihati pemerintahan dalam masalah-masalah tertentu :

GR ( Government Affair ), mendukung klien sebelum mengambil keputusan utama dalam pemerintahan sehari-hari. Memerlukan kerja yang simultan yang menyangkut 2 strategi utama :

1. Offense – dalam hal ini, PR bertugas untuk ”move the desimal point” dimana PR harus membagi bagian fraksional dari suatu kegiatan pemerintah. Ini mungkin melibatkan penyusutan jadwal yang lebih pendek dalam kode pajak atau memperluas definisi untuk menyertakan teknologi baru yang akan memenuhi syarat untuk dana pemerintah.

2. Deffense – Bekerja dengan koalisi di sektor swasta dan pejabat pemerintah untuk memblokir peraturan pemerintah dari yang berdampak negatif neraca korporasi. Hal ini mungkin termasuk ketentuan-ketentuan dalam kesehatan, reformasi peraturan atau undang-undang iklim yang mempunyai efek negatif atau yang tidak seimbang pada korporasi.

Selain itu, Humas selanjutnya menerapkan strategi yang ditujukan kepada pelanggan seara langsung (adanya interaksi dengan pelanggan, klien dan prospek penjualan. Strategi itu yakni Manajemen Hubungan Pelanggan (Customer Relation Manager) yang merupakan sebuah strategi diterapkan secara luas untuk mengelola perusahaan interaksi dengan pelanggan , klien dan prospek penjualan. Ini melibatkan penggunaan teknologi untuk mengatur, otomatis, dan sinkronisasi proses bisnis-terutama penjualan kegiatan, tetapi juga orang-orang untuk pemasaran , layanan pelanggan , dan dukungan teknis . Tujuan keseluruhan adalah untuk menemukan, menarik, dan menang klien baru, memelihara dan mempertahankan perusahaan yang telah memiliki, menarik klien mantan kembali ke flip, dan mengurangi biaya pemasaran dan pelayanan klien. Customer relationship management menggambarkan suatu perusahaan -strategi bisnis yang luas termasuk departemen-antarmuka pelanggan serta departemen lainnya.

Tiga fase di mana CRM mendukung hubungan antara bisnis dan pelanggannya adalah untuk:
1.   Memperoleh: CRM dapat membantu bisnis memperoleh pelanggan baru melalui manajemen kontak, menjual, dan pemenuhan.

Lepas dari teori di atas, sebagai humas tentu mengetahui bahaya dari merokok karena dapat menyebabkan serangan jantung, impotensi, dan penyakit lainnya. Itulah tulisan yang biasanya ada di bungkus rokok. Tapi entah kenapa tetap saja banyak orang yang merokok, bahkan jumlahnya bertambah dari tahun ke tahun. Anak-anak pun menjadi seorang pecandu rokok yang cukup parah sejak dini. Rokok menjadi momok bagi pemerintah untuk diperangi karena bisa merusak generasi masa depan. Namun selain hal negatif tersebut ada juga beberapa kontribusi rokok pada negara ini. Selain itu, rokok membuat paru-paru kita penuh dengan asap hitam yang mematikan.

Pada tahun 2007 silam, pemerintah di provinsi DKI Jakarta mengeluarkan peraturan daerah (perda) DKI Jakarta Nomor 2 Tahun 2005 yang melarang merokok di tempat umum dengan sanksi yang cukup berat, yakni kurungan badan selama 6 bulan di penjara atau denda uang sebesar Rp. 50.000.000,- / lima puluh juta rupiah. Kenyataan yang terjadi di lapangan adalah banyak warga masyarakat yang merupakan perokok aktif banyak yang merokok di tempat-tempat yang termasuk dalam kategori kawasan dilarang merokok. Walaupun sudah ada tempat khusus merokok bagi para perokok, terkadang masih banyak orang yang merokok seenaknya sendiri tanpa menghiraukan kenyamanan dan kesehatan orang lain. Penegakan hukum sanksi merokok di tempat umum harus ketat dan melibatkan partisipasi masyarakat dengan hadiah. Misal warga bisa merekam orang yang merokok di tempat umum untuk diadukan ke pihak yang berwajib dengan imbalan tertentu yang menggiurkan. Tentu saja hal ini akan membuat masyarakat shock therapy agar takut untuk merokok di kawasan umum. Namun hal ini belum tentu disukai banyak orang. Banyak oknum politisi yang suka merokok sembarangan di tempat umum sehingga pelaksanaan pemungutan denda tersebut bisa dihambat total.

Kemudian sebagai humas harus mengidentifikasi krisis, dimana krisis merupakan situasi yang merupakan titik balik (turning point) yang dapat membuat sesuatu tambah baik atau tambah buruk. Jika dipandang dari kaca mata bisnis suatu krisis akan menimbulkan hal-hal seperti berikut :
1.   Intensitas permasalahan akan bertambah.
2.   Masalah akan dibawah sorotan publik baik melalui media masa, atau informasi dari mulut ke mulut.
3.   Masalah akan menganggu kelancaran bisnis sehari-hari.
4.   Masalah menganggu nama baik perusahaan.
5.   Masalah dapat merusak sistim kerja dan menggoncangkan perusahaan secara keseluruhan.
6.   Masalah yang dihadapi disamping membuat perusahaan menjadi panik, juga tidak jarang membuat masyarakat menjadi panik.
7.   Masalah akan membuat pemerintah ikut melakukan intervensi.
Adapun level perkembangan krisis menurut pendapat Steven Fink (1986) dapat dikategorikan kedalam empat level perkembangan, yakni :
1). masa prekrisis (predromal crisis stage)
2). masa krisis akut (acute crisis stage)
3). masa krisis kronis (chronic crisis stage)
4). masa resolusi krisis (crisis resolution stage)

Masa pre-krisis
Suatu krisis yang besar biasanya telah didahului oleh suatu pertanda bahwa bakal ada krisis yang terjadi. Masa terjadinya atau munculnya pertanda ini disebut masa pre-krisis.
Masa Krisis Akut (Acute stage).
Bila pre-krisis tidak dideteksi dan tidak diambil tindakan yang sesuai maka masa yang paling ditakuti akan terjadi.

Masa kronis krisis.
Masa ini adalah masa pembersihan akibat dari krisis akut. Masa ini adalah masa ‘recovery’, masa mengintrospeksi kenapa krisis sampai terjadi. Masa ini bagi mereka yang gagal total menangani krisis adalah masa kegoncangan manajemen atau masa kebangkrutan perusahaan. Bagi mereka yang bisa menangani krisis dengan baik ini adalah masa yang menenangkan.
Masa kronis berlangsung panjang, tergantung pada jenis krisis. Masa kronis adalah masa pengembalian kepercayaan publik terhadap perusahaan.

Masa kesembuhan dari krisis.
Masa ini adalah masa perusahaan sehat kembali seperti keadaan sediakala. Pada fase ini perusahaan akan semakin sadar bahwa krisis dapat terjadi sewaktu-waktu dan lebih mempersiapkan diri untuk menghadapinya.
Dan langkah selanjutnya melakukan analisis untuk menentukan tindakan yang harus dilakukan, memberikan keputusan dengan informasi yang lengkap dan teknik, baik sikap ataupun moral.

Disini sebagai humas memiliki tugas yang terbagi menjadi 2, yakni tugas dengan pemerintah dan dengan masyarakat.

Tugas dengan pemerintah

1.   Meyakinkan pemerintah agar produk perusahaannya tetap berproduksi dan tidak dibatasi
2.   Memberikan laporan tentang bahan bahan yang terkandung dalam rokok
3.   Meminimalisir bahan bahan yang berbahaya di dalam rokok
4.   Tetap mendukung rencana awal pemerintah dalam membatasi produk rokok dan menaikan cukai ( menaikan harga rokok , membuat kemasan lebih seram )
5.   Memberikan penyuluhan kepada masyarakat tentang bahaya rokok

Tugas dengan masyarakat

1.   Memberikan pengertian kepada masyarakat mengenai kondisi perusahaan yang kurang baik / krisis
2.   Perusahaan melakukan kerja sama dengan perusahaan lain, seperti perusahaan korek api
3.   Melakukan kebijakan – kebijakan perusahan sebagai berikut :

•   Melakukan penurunan masa kerja / pensiun
•   Pemotongan gaji karyawan sampai waktu yang tidak ditentukan
•   Memberikan pilihan yang sulit kepada karyawan

MATERIALISME KARL MARX

Materialisme adalah paham ajaran yang menekankan keunggulan faktor-faktor material atas yang spiritual dalam metafisika, teori nilai, fisiologi, epistimologi atau penjelasan historis. Ada beberapa macam materialisme, yaitu materialisme biologis, materialisme parsial, materialisme antropologis, materialisme dialektis, dan materialisme historis.

Karl Marx (1818-1883) merupakan tokoh utama yang mengaitkan filsafat dengan ekonomi. Dalam pandangannya, filsafat tidak boleh statis, tetapi harus aktif membuat perubahan-perubahan karena yang terpenting adalah perbuatan dan materi, bukan ide-ide (hal ini berbeda dengan Hegel). Manusia selalu terkait dengan hubungan-hubungan kemasyarakatan yang melahirkan sejarah. Manusia adalah makhluk yang bermasyarakat, yang beraktivitas, terlibat dalam suatu proses produksi. Hakikat manusia adalah kerja (homo laborans, homo faber). Jadi, ada kaitan yang erat antara filsafat, sejarah dan masyarakat.

Menurut Marx sejarah umat manusia sejak zaman primitif dibentuk oleh faktor-faktor kebendaaan. Awal sejarah manusia dimulai dengan adanya pemilikan pribadi yang kemudian menimbulkan pertarungan memperebutkan materi atau kekayaan ekonomi. Materi atau bendalah yang menjadi faktor konstitutif proses sosial politik historis kemanusiaan. Marx menyangkal argumen Hegel maupun Weber yang melihat faktor non-bendawi, roh, dan gagasan berpengaruh dan menentukan sejarah. Inilah paham materialisme sejarah Marx.

Untuk memahami materialisme sejarah, kita juga perlu memahami bagaimana paham materialisme Marx. Materialisme adalah faham serba benda. Bertitik tolak dari asumsi itu, Marx meyakini bahwa tahap-tahap perkembangan sejarah ditentukan oleh keberadaan material. Bentuk dan kekuatan produksi meterial tidak saja menentukan proses perkembangan dan hubungan-hubungan sosial manusia, serta formasi politik, tetapi juga pembagian kelas-kelas sosial. Marx berpendapat bahwa hubungan-hubungan sosial sangat erat kaitannya dengan kekuatan-kekuatan produksi baru manusia akan mengubah bentuk-bentuk atau cara produksi mereka.

Jadi, materi baik dalam bentuk modal kekuatan-kekuatan maupun alat-alat produksi merupakan basis sedangkan kehidupan sosial, politik, filsafat, agama, seni, dan negara merupakan suprastruktur.

Kata materialisme yang digunakan Marx bukanlah dalam arti filosofis sebagai kepercayaan bahwa hakekat seluruh realitas adalah materi, melainkan ia ingin menunjukan pada faktor-fakor yang menentukan sejarah yang terdapat dalam produksi kebutuhan manusia. Seperti dalam penjelasan sebelumnnya faktor-faktor ini mengacu pada keadaan manusia.

Istilah sejarah mengacu pada Hegel sebagai proses dialektis diterima Marx. Akan tetapi terdapat perbedaan pengertian. Sejarah dalam pengertian Marx adalah perjuangan kelas-kelas untuk mewujudkan kebebasan, bukan perihal perwujudan diri Roh, bukan pula tesis–anti tesis Roh Subjektif –Roh Objektif melainkan menyangkut kontradiksi-kontradiksi hidup dalam masyarakat terutama dalam kegiatan ekonomi dan produksi. Jadi untuk memahami manusia dan perubahannya tidak perlu memperhatikan apa yang dipikirkan oleh manusia melainkan melihat segala hal yang berkaitan dengan produksi.

Begitu pula dengan kesadaran dan cita-cita manusia ditentukan oleh keadaannya dalam masyarakat dalam hal ini kedudukannya dalam kelas sosial. Sebagai contoh kaum buruh ( kelas proletar). Ketiadaan atas kepemilikan alat-alat produksi membuat buruh secara historis terpaksa tidak punya banyak pilihan bertindak. Tujuan dan kegiatan historisnya telah digariskan dalam keadaan hidupnya yang “bergantung” dari kemauan kelas pemilik alat-alat-produksi. Karena keadaan ini, cara produksi menentukan cara manusia berpikir. Dalam hal ini, cara berpikir buruh karena bergantung pada kelas atas adalah bagaimana untuk dapat bertahan hidup ( survive ). Sedangkan pada kelas atasnya adalah untuk menguasai sebanyak-banyak alat produksi. Dari hal tersebut dapat ditarik beberapa hal. Pertama, cara berproduksi menentukan adanya kelas-kelas sosial. Kedua, keanggotaan dalam kelas sosial menentukan kepentingan orang. Ketiga, kepentingan menentukan apa yang dicita-citakan, apa yang dianggap baik-buruk.

Jika keadaan menentukan cita-cita dan kesadaran, maka bagi Marx, hidup rohani, agama, moralitas, nilai-nilai budaya , dll. bersifat sekunder . Hal-hal tersebut bersifat primer karena hanya mengungkapkan keadaan primer, struktur kelas masyrakat dan pola produksi. Jika kita mengharapkan perubahan dalam masyarakat maka yang diperlukan adalah perubahan dalam cara produksi. Perihal hubungan lingkup kehidupan manusia ini dapat dibayangkan sebuah bangunan yang terdiri dari basis dan bangunan atas.

Materialisme historis dipahami sebagai perluasan prinsip-prinsip materialisme dialektik pada anahsis mengenai kehidupan masyarakat, atau pengeterapan prinsip-prinsip materialisme dialektik pada gejala kehidupan masyarakat. Bertolak dari proposisi bahwa yang terpenting dari filsafat adalah bukan hanya bongkar pasang makna tentang dunia namun bagaimana merubah kenyataan dunia, Karl Marx meneruskan konsistensi pemikirannya pada kasus hukum dialektika sejarah dalam masyarakat manusia. Dalam materialisme historis, Marx menjabarkan secara ilmiah mata rantai kelahiran, perkembangan dan kehancuran sistem masyarakat beserta kelas-kelas sosial dalam suatu kurun sejarah.

PENGARUH PEMIKIRAN HEGEL

Hegel adalah seorang idealis yang berpendapat bahwa pikiran adalah landasan segala apa yang maujud. Selain itu, Hegel juga seorang dualis yang berpendapat tentang adanya dua unsur yang sepenuhnya berbeda, yaitu unsur spiritual dan material, yang terhimpun dalam satu ruh atau pikiran yang dipandang sebagai kekuatan tertinggi yang menggerakkan segala sesuatu. Pikiran atau ruh itu disebut dengan akal mutlak[4].

Untuk membuktikan teorinya ini Hegel mempergunakan polemik. Lewat cara ini ia berpendapat bahwa akal manusia selalu bergerak ke depan untuk mencapai ilmu mutlak. Teori mencapai puncaknya dalam abstraksi. Idealismenya yang berlebih-lebihan ini membangkitkan kecaman dari kaum materialis setelahnya dan mereka mengkritik pendapatnya bahwa sejarah adalah keterbukaan akal kosmis mutlak dan perluasannya dalam waktu.

Menurut kaum materialis, interpretasi Hegel atas sejarah merupakan interpretasi materialistis murni. Dengan demikian, pendapatnya terperosok pada lawan pendapatnya dan dengan itu ia terjatuh dalam sikap berlebih-lebihanan yang tidak logis. Seperti terbukti, filsafat sejarah Hegel begitu terpengaruh oleh ajaran-ajaran agama Masehi. Sehingga bisa dikatakan bahwa konsepsinya tentang semangat universal yang terpersonifikasikan dalam zaman historis diilhami makna-makna simbolis agama Masehi. Sebab apabila al-Masih adalah semangat agama Masehi yang terpersonifikasikan dalam ruang dan waktu, demikian halnya realitas semangat menurut Hegel juga berpakaiankan waktu. Malah struktur umum konsepsinya tentang sejarah hampir seiring dengan konsepsi-konsepsi Saint Augustine, apabila aspek dogmatis konsepsi-konsepsi Saint Augustine kita buang dan konsepsi-konsepsi keagamaan yang ada dalam metodenya kita rumuskan kembali dan kita ubah menjadi kategori-kategori rasional. Memang, konsepsi Hegel tentang agama Masehi bertentangan dengan konsepsinya tentang teologi tradisional. Namun ini tidak menghalangi adanya kesamaan seperti dikemukakan di atas.

Sebab kejatuhan tidak lain adalah kesadaran manusia akan dirinya sendiri sebagai manusia dan kejahatan adalah tetap terpisahnya manusia dari Tuhan. Sedang masuknya berbagai penderitaan dalam sejarah adalah sarana untuk merealisasikan kesatuan manusia dengan Tuhan.

Menurut Hegel, ide kebebasan merupakan kunci hakiki dari sejarah. Sebab kebebasan adalah substansi akal budi dan akal budilah yang mengendalikan alam. Sedang perjalanan sejarah dalam filsafatnya adalah semacam kemajuan dialektis di mana berlangsung penghancuran dan pembangunan kembali, untuk merealisasikan perubahan ke arah yang lebih baik. Sementara kejeniusan atau semangat bangsa - yang tertampilkan dalam diri individu-individu tapi mandiri dari kehendak dan maksud mereka - adalah pencipta sebenarnya kebudayaan. Sedangkan sejarah, dalam filsafat Hegel, adalah arena di mana muncul berbagai bangsa untuk mengungkapkan semangat universal, tapi hanya para pahlawan dan jenius saja yang mampu memahami substansi semangat itu.

Idealisme Hegel bertemu dengan idealisme para pemikir sezamannya. Misalnya saja Karl Marx dan Friedrich Engels mengemukakan. suatu interpretasi ekonomis atas sejarah dengan mendayagunakan aliran dialektis Hegel, meski pada saat yang sama keduanya mengecam keras Hegel. Jadi, apabila Marxisme menentang idealisme Hegel, di pihak lain Marxisme mengambil metode dialektis Hegel sebagai landasan materialisme dan meletakkan metode itu, seperti dikatakan dua pengasas aliran Marxis itu, di bawah telapak kaki keduanya setelah sebelumnya berdiri tegak di atas kepalanya. Dengan demikian, di tangan kedua pemikir itu, idealisme pun berubah menjadi materialisme murni dan penyingkapan riil tentang perjalan semangat dalam sejarah pun, seperti dinyatakan Hegel, berubah menjadi upaya untuk membebaskan manusia dari belenggu keasingannya dari dirinya sendiri, yakni keasingan yang timbul dari berkuasanya sistem-sistem sosial, ekonomis, dan politik tertentu.

On the other hand, tourism does not have to be destructive. It can be argued that tourism is a positive environmental force since it fosters the preservation of wildlands and wildlife, or historic buildings and structures. City centers, too, can become attractions hen environmental feature are saved for future generations to enjoy.

Environmental Impacts

Environmental impacts are usually measured by degree. To the extent that tourism generates revenue to develop better roads and sewer systems, it is positive. But to the extent that tourism causes roads to fall into disrepair, or strains the waste management system beyond capacity and threatens public health, tourism is negative.

National parks and preserves attract tourists who spend money in the surrounding communities. Here, the effects of tourism are indirect. Animals do not heed park and preserves boundaries, nor do poachers. Originally, the lands for parks or preserves deprive residents of desperately needed resources. This creates a conflict between the tourists, managingagencies, and residents-a conflict which can be destructive and even life threatening.

In most third world countries, tourism is not the primary cause of the environmental degradation. Rather, the ecological balance is strained by the activities of poachers and by the legitimate, survival needs of residents. Conservation of resources may have been the initial reason a park was established. Over time, however, tourist expenditures become important to the government and to te surrounding communities. A classic dilemma ensues between the residents who need the resources within the park to survive and the need of the government to preserve the resources of the park to continue to attract tourists.

The most significant positive effects related to tourism occur when local citizens are better able to care for their own community and environment. In urban areas around the world, much of the preservation of historical inner cities, waterfronts, and buildings lies in their values as tourist attractions. For example, most of the ancient dwellings in Beijing, China were systematically destroyed to make room for high-rise housing. Now, rehabilitation and conservation techniques are being used to preserve selected old city dwellings-in part, because of their tourism value.

Environmental Quality and Tourism

Most people consider an environment is in “top notch” condition when the biological elements-such as plants and animals-are healthy and the water and air are clean and unpolluted. Clearly, there are two levels of analysis: the perceptual and the technical. Perceptually, an environment may look clean and healthy, but when measured technologically, this may not be the case at all.

While tourism sometimes causes environmental problems, other industries can and do damage the environment-and tourism-in the process. The complex inter-relationship between tourism and the environment involves many who are not directly involved in tourism. Other major influences on the environment include industry, regulatory agencies, and the citizenry. The actions of these diverse groups can affect the quality and appearance of the environment and, in turn, influence the decisions of tourists. Tourists will stay away from a destination when it is contaminated or despoiled.

TOURISM'S THREE MAIN IMPACT AREAS

Negative impacts from tourism occur when the level of visitor use is greater than the environment's ability to cope with this use within the acceptable limits of change. Uncontrolled conventional tourism poses potential threats to many natural areas around the world. It can put enormous pressure on an area and lead to impacts such as soil erosion, increased pollution, discharges into the sea, natural habitat loss, increased pressure on endangered species and heightened vulnerability to forest fires. It often puts a strain on water resources, and it can force local populations to compete for the use of critical resources.

DEPLETION OF NATURAL RESOURCES

Tourism development can put pressure on natural resources when it increases consumption in areas where resources are already scarce.

The tourism industry generally overuses water resources for hotels, swimming pools, golf courses and personal use of water by tourists. Tourism can cause the same forms of pollution as any other industry: air emissions, noise, solid waste and littering, releases of sewage, oil and chemicals, even architectural/visual pollution.

Air pollution and noise

Transport by air, road, and rail is continuously increasing in response to the rising numbe reported that the number of international air passengers worldwide rose from 88 million in 1972 to 344 million in 1994. One consequence of this increase in air transport is that tourism now accounts for more than 60% of air travel and is therefore responsible for an important share of air emissions. One study estimated that a single transatlantic return flight emits almost half the CO2 emissions produced by all other sources (lighting, heating, car use, etc.) consumed by an average person yearly. Solid waste and littering

METODE KERAGUAN (SKEPTISISME) DESCARTES

Satu hal yang membuat Descartes sangat terkenal adalah bagaimana dia menciptakan satu metode yang betul-betul baru didalam berfilsafat yang kemudian dia beri nama metode keraguan atau kalau dalam bahasa aslinya dikatakan sebagai Le Doubte Methodique. Berdasarkan metode ini, berfilsafat menurut Descartes adalah membuat pertanyaan metafisis untuk kemudian menemukan jawabannya dengan sebuah fundamen yang pasti, sebagaimana pastinya jawaban didalam matematika.

Keraguan sendiri adalah keadaan seimbang antara penegasan (affirmasi) dan pengingkaran (negasi). Dalam kehidupan sehari-hari, keraguan lebih sering ditemui saat kita akan mengambil sebuah keputusan. Walaupun praktik yang dilakukan filsuf dengan kita berbeda namun pengambilan keputusan itu pada dasarnya berada pada level yang sama sebagai suatu jalan dalam menemukan kebenaran-kebenaran sebuah putusan.

Meragukan sesuatu adalah berpikir tentang sesuatu, dengan demikian bisa dikatakan bahwa kepastian akan eksistensi kita bisa dicapai dengan berpikir. Descartes kemudian mengatakan cogito ergo sum atau kalau dalam bahasa aslinya dikatakan Je pense donc je suis yang artinya adalah aku berpikir maka aku ada.

Dengan metode keraguan ini, Descartes ingin mengokohkan kepastian akan kebenaran, yaitu “cogito” atau kesadaran diri. Cogito adalah sebuah kebenaran dan kepastian yang sudah tidak tergoyahkan lagi karena dipahami sebagai hal yang sudah jelas dan terpilah-pilah ( claire et distincte).

Metode Keraguan (Skeptisisme) berawal dari pemikiran bahwa untuk menemukan basis yang kuat bagi filsafat, ia meragukan (skeptis) terlebih dulu terhadap segala seuatu yang dapat diragukan. Mula-mula ia meragukan semua yang dapat diindera, obyek yang sebenarnya tidak mungkin diragukan. Inilah langkah pertama metode skeptis terebut. Dia meragukan adanya badannya sendiri, keraguan itu menjadi mungkin karena pada pengalaman mimpi, halusinasi, ilusi, dan juga pada pengalaman dengan roh halus ada yang sebenarnya tidak jelas. Di dalam mimpi seolah-olah seseorang mengalami sesuatu yang sungguh-sungguh terjadi, persis seperti tidak mimpi. Jika orang ragu terhadap segala sesuatu, maka dalam keragu-raguan itu jelas ia ada sedang berfikir. Sebab yang sedang berfkir itu tentu ada dan jelas terang benderang “Corgito Ergo Sum” (saya berfikir, maka jelaslah saya ada).

Metode keraguan Descartes bukanlah tujuannya. Tujuan metode ini bukanlah untuk mempertahankan keraguan, sebaliknya metode ini bergerak dari keraguan menuju kepastian. Keraguan Descartes hanya digunakan untuk menjelaskan perbedaan sesuatu yang dapat diragukan dari sesuatu yang tidak dapat diragukan.

Lebih lanjut descartes mengatakan bahwa sumber kebenaran ialah rasio. Hanya rasio sajalah yang dapat membawa seseorang kepada kebenaran, yang benar hanyalah tindakan akal yang terang benderang yang disebutnya Ideas, Claires at Distinctes (pemikiran yang terang benderang dan terpilah-pilah). Idea terang benderang ini pemberian Tuhan sebelum dlahirkan Idea innatal = ide bawaan).

Descartes mengembangkan metode filsafat keraguan ini dengan tahap-tahap rinci yang bisa kita lewati. Oleh karena itu, metode yang dikembangkan oleh Descartes ini biasa disebut juga sebagai skeptik-metodik, artinya keraguan yang didasarkan atas suatu metode sistematis untuk sampai pada kebenaran.

Metode itu dimulai melalui beberapa tahapan, diantaranya:

1.    mulai meragukan segala sesuatu yang selama ini diterima sebagai suatu kebenaran;
2.    mengklasifikasikan persoalan dari hal yang sederhana hingga hal yang rumit;
3.    melakukan pemecahan masalah dari hal yang rumit hingga hal yang paling rumit; dan
4.    memeriksa kembali secara menyeluruh barangkali masih ada hal-hal yang masih tersisa atau terabaikan.

Moyo (older spelling Mojo) is an island in Indonesia's West Nusa Tenggara province. It is off the north coast Sumbawa Island, and has an area of 349 km2. It is at the mouth of Saleh Bay, has a nature reserve with wild oxen, deer, wild boars and a great variety bird species. Visits are best made during the dry season from June through August. A few kilometers of the north coast of Sumbawa, the national park island of Moyo Island is probably the most rewarding destination in Sumbawa, surrounded by beautiful coral reefs and home to wild pig, monitor lizards, 21 species of bat, huge herds of native deer and hordes of crab-eating macaques. The best time to visit is in June and July, though the seas are clear and quiet from April. There are basic private rooms at the PHPA post at Tanjung Pasir on the south coast, where most boats from the mainland arrive. Renting a fishing boat from Tanjung Pasir and going fifteen minutes east to Stama reeft is very rewarding, with lots of sharks and turtles. There's nowhere on Moyo to rent masks and snorkels so bring our own; fins are advisable due to the strong currents.

To get to Moyo, take a bemo from beside Seketang Market in Sumbawa Besar to Air Bari , a small port settlement to the northeast. From Air Bari, we can charter a boat to Moyo.

Most of Moyo is a nature reserve called Moyo Island Hunting Park covering 22,537.90 ha (Decree of Minister of Forestry Number: 308/Kpts-II/1986 dated 29 September 1986)[citation needed], and is inhabited by macaques, wild cattle, wild pigs, barking deer, deer (Cervus timorensis) and several varieties of birds. The island rises 648m, and its centre is composed mainly of savannah and some strands of forest. The Marine Park of Moyo Island occupies the southern island. These two natural reserves are managed by an Office of Natural Conservation of West Nusa Tenggara, as a Technical Operation Unit of Directorate General of Forest Protection and Nature Conservation-Ministry of Forestry.

Berbak National Park is a national park area on the eastern coastline of Central Sumatra included in Ramsar Convention for international wetland conservation. In 1992, the minister of Forestry, Republic of Indonesia following the original 1935 by Dutch colonial, officially states this area as National Park. The uniqueness of this national park lies on its wetland ecosystem which become one unity of swamp ecosystem, freshwater swamp ecosystem and coastline ecosystem.This park is dominated by pandanaceae family, up to 10 species, even for Aracaceae has up to 27 species.

By canoeing through the swamp river canal, we can enjoy the undisturbed wildlife on the riverside and canopies. We have two exotic areas in this park, that are Air Hitam Dalam, typical freshwater swamp and floodplain, with wetland ecosystem and Air Hitam Laut and Cemara River where typical coastline and saltwater swamp and marsh is dominating the area. Up to 300 species of birds are living peacefully inside the park. Some exotic birds like, Wild duck (cairina scutulata), and all species of Raja Udang (alcenedenidae), and also 9 species of Rangkong (Bocerotidae). Migrant birds up to thousands, which reside off their Siberian - Australian journey, especially during October - March season, really amaze any human being, as we will find them blackening the coast horizons.

Primates also dominate the canopies during our canoe traverse. The more challenging wildlife to observe may lie deep underwater below your canoe. We can observe 2 species of crocodile, that is saltwater crocodile (crocodiles porous) and freshwater crocodile (tomistoma schegelii). Turtles family also dominates the swamp area. Big mammalia like Sumatran tiger (panthera tigris sumatraensis), Black bear (Helartos malayanus) may occasionally show up in front of your canoe. It may be special for the tiger, will require some patience from you and may be a good stamina to traverse into the center of the park on foot.

Berbak National Park is protected not only nationally but also internationally with the Wet Land as defined in the International Ramsar Convention in 1992.
