Lantronix closed its first fiscal quarter of 2010 with five consecutive quarters of non-GAAP profitability and continues to advance its market position with five new product additions, and new executives

Irvine, CA – Lantronix, Inc. (Nasdaq:LTRXD), a leading provider of secure, remote device networking and data center management technologies, closed its first fiscal quarter of 2010 with five consecutive quarters of non-GAAP profitability. (Financial results for the December ended quarter will be reported the first week of February.) The company continues to advance its market position and drive innovation with five new product additions to the company’s flagship product families: DeviceLinx™, ManageLinx™ and SecureLinx™. Providing a way for customers to remotely access virtually any device via the Internet, Lantronix also added new customers in the security, industrial and medical markets.

In 2009, Lantronix shipped its 2 millionth XPort® module. The company enhanced this product with the release of XPort® Pro™, an embedded Ethernet networking module with new support for Linux family. XPort Pro has received record-breaking interest by customers looking to leverage its powerful engine for deploying advanced applications at the network edge, such as intelligent power inverters used in converting solar energy to electricity.

Further enhancing its product suite, Lantronix added ManageLinx’ Virtual IP (VIP) Access™ technology as a feature available on each of its newly released products. Using the company’s patent-pending Virtual Device Network (VDN) technology, ManageLinx enables users to create secure VIP connections between any two points via the Internet without compromising integrity, changing the network configuration or the application software.

Attracting interest in the security and industrial markets, Lantronix announced relationships with Secura Key, Spectrum CNC, Information Controls and Mitsubishi Electric in 2009. The company also experienced increased demand from the healthcare industry, partnering with LeHigh Valley Health Network. More hospitals look to transition to electronic health records and gain greater access to real-time patient information. LeHigh Valley’s partnership with Lantronix will enable the health group to securely network-connect medical equipment.

To support its expanding customer base in its key markets, Lantronix added to its executive team by appointing Jeff Kost as SVP of worldwide sales, and Paul Pishal as VP of marketing. These appointments will intensify the company’s focus on business development to drive customer growth.

Lantronix releases ManageLinx 2.0, provides enhanced remote product servicing and device management for OEMs and MSPs

Irvine, CA – Lantronix, Inc. (Nasdaq:LTRX), a leading provider of secure, remote device networking and data center management technologies, today announced ManageLinx 2.0, the latest version of the company’s secure, remote access solution. ManageLinx provides access to firewall-protected devices via the Internet.

Using Lantronix’ patent-pending Virtual Device Network (VDN) technology, ManageLinx enables users to create Virtual IP (VIP) connections between any two points on the Internet without changing the network configuration or application software. VDN allows administrators to restrict access to specific IP addresses. This ensures access to only predetermined devices, an important feature for service personnel who need to securely monitor, manage and control remote devices.

The new version includes customer driven, enterprise class enhancements in flexibility, performance and manageability. Administrators can configure multiple devices with the new command line interface (CLI), greatly improving ease of use and efficiency. Automated backup and recovery operations help reduce staffing hours and cost. The new auditing capability facilitates collection and reporting of significant events on the system, aiding in security compliance.

ManageLinx is easy to deploy and enables service organizations, such as original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) and managed service providers (MSPs), to extend their own remote product service offerings to customers. ManageLinx 2.0 incorporates security features ideal for hosted environments, allowing MSPs to target multiple organizations without incurring additional capital equipment costs.

With ManageLinx, service providers can monitor equipment, diagnose problems, and perform service repairs from a remote location. Virtually every function that once required the physical presence of a technician behind a firewall can be done with ManageLinx. In addition, ManageLinx now provides seamless integration with the DeviceLinx™ and SecureLinx™ network enablement products. This includes the recently released XPort Pro™ device server and the SpiderDuo™ KVM (keyboard video mouse) over-IP solution. With DeviceLinx, virtually any piece of existing or legacy electronic equipment can be managed over a network. When used in conjunction, DeviceLinx and ManageLinx 2.0 comprise a holistic, remote device management and control solution, resulting in a reduced number of physical service calls.

In a recent survey commissioned by Lantronix, 31 percent of US businesses reported plans to cut energy costs and lower carbon footprint by reducing truck rolls in 2009 (1). ManageLinx is an ideal solution for these organizations.

ManageLinx is gaining traction with global customers in diverse industries such as solar energy management, industrial automation and process management.
