Women Tech Global Conference

I re-learned a very valueable lesson today. Thank you to WomenTech Network for inviting me to your virtual MainStage to keynote a conversation on “The Art of Storytelling: How To Build Your Professional Brand”. Due to technical difficulties my screen share was not working. I re-freshed and tried again – still no luck. Today, I did my first keynote without any visuals or slide deck. To say I was terrified throughout the whole talk is a complete understatement.

Here is the professional lesson: The show must go on. Sometimes it doesn’t look like you planned. Sometimes it doesn’t feel comfortable. Sometimes you are terrified. But the show must go and you have to flexible and confident enough in your abilities that while the journey looks different, you will get to you final destination.

That’s what I did today and to be transparent, I don’t know if it worked. But the show went on regardless.
