The rule change proposals as approved by the Rules Committee are posted under “Rules”.   Please read these carefully and communicate your thoughts to your club delegate.

The ballot will be sent to each delegate today, Nov. 21.   The vote is due no later than Dec. 15.

Potomac Valley Borzoi Club has cancelled the Nov. 5-6 meets in Hydes, Md.

ShiRayan Sloughis Amateur Racing has cancelled the Nov. 19-20 meets and rescheduled the meets for Dec. 10-11 in Crescent, Ia.

We had one dog enter on Oct. 8 at NFH/SORCA in Redding CA.

She boxed well but did not finish  any races, running about 25 yards for her longest run.  Very sweet dog, but probably not a candidate for a GRC.

Just a quick FYI about a change we’ve made to the Schedule page. The calendar software we were using before was problematic for a number of reasons so we’ve switched over to an embedded Google Calendar instead. I am aware that there are some issues with Google Calendar, particularly if you don’t have a Google account, but all of the online calendaring solutions have their issues and we think Google Calendar will be the best compromise. If you have problems with it, feel free to report to webmaster@lgra.org.

Some great Google Calendar features: if you have your own Google Calendar account, you can import the LGRA calendar to display in your own personal calendar – look for the +google icon in the lower right corner on the calendar. Look in the upper right corner of the calendar for controls to switch between calendar (week or month) or “agenda” listing. For those of you who like printing hard copies, Google Calendar has really good built-in print formatting.

All the remaining 2011 dates that are on the excel and pdf schedules have been added to the new calendar. As time permits, I’ll go back and back-enter the first half of the year so the complete 2011 calendar will be online for archival purposes.

We have posted meet entry forms (editable in Word, not editable in pdf) for download.

We have also posted the LGRA Dog Registration form (editable in Word) for download.

Ultimately, these will be converted to web-based forms.

The current list of active clubs is now posted.  Please be sure and check to see that your club’s information is correct and let me know of any changes

Forms are next.  Beth and I are making progress!  Beth is working on the calendar and we should have this going soon.  The platform is new to both of us, so it takes some experimenting.
