Soon you will be able to use your library card to download audio books to your computer at home and transfer them to an MP3 player. We are expecting to have this service up and running by the end of July!

Book Sale At MyLibrary

We will be having a book sale event at Headquarters on Saturday, August 16, 2008, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.

We would appreciate any donations of books in good condition. No textbooks, please.

Our patrons can bring their donations to the reference desk at any time when the library is open. (Monday-Thursday: 9:00am-9:00pm, Friday & Saturday: 9:00am-5:00pm)

The reference desk will be giving tax deduction forms to those patrons who request them.

Lulu, we believe you are asking about Tess Gerritsen, an M.D. and very popular writer of thrillers. Here there is a link to Amazon.com with all her books. If you click on the picture of each book you will get editorial reviews.

Abe, there are a number of non fiction books about people and their dogs.
Perhaps you are talking about John Grogan's "Marley and Me", or Ted Kerasote's "Merle's Door", or maybe "Amazing Grace" written by Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff, all popular books.

Last September, John Grogan published "Bad Dogs Have More Fun: Selected Writings on Family, Animals, and Life" . Dan Dye and Mark Beckloff wrote a couple of books with canine recipies before they published "Amazing Grace", and Ted Kerasote has written other books including "Out There" and "Heart of Home: People, Wildlife, Place".

Jennifer, We should be cataloging "TailSpin" by Catherine Coulter any moment now. You could try placing a hold on this book in a couple of days.

Our Three Most Circulated Books Last Month

Our monthly Book Clubs has been meeting very successfully and we are always happy to welcome new readers. Our next meeting will be:

Headquarters: Tuesday, July 22, 2008. "One Thousand Splendid Suns" by Khaled Hosseini.

Marlboro Branch: Thursday, July 24. 2008. "Water For Elephants" by Sara Gruen.

Ocean Branch: Thursday, July 24. 2008. "Mr. Darcy Takes A Wife" by Linda Berdoll.

Wall Branch: Tuesday, July 31, 2008. "Audition: A Memoir" by Barbara Walters.

All Book clubs meet at 7:30 PM. You can get the books at the branches' circulation desks.
