Galt, do you know what conference means in this reference?

I don’t. I have to admit this process is pretty detailed and technical. I readily admit that I am learning on the go here.

Budget Reconciliation as you know has been utilized most often by repubs

This I know. I have been trying to find the rules or an explanation of the rules. I’m trying to find out what is and what isn’t eligible for the process.

I think Medicare passed through reconciliation, so there seems to be a precedent that allows some form of health care-ish legislation to “reconciled”.

Truly an interesting time to watch politics right now.

I knew being an atheist was way cooler than joining a country club, although we do have andy rooney :( maybe he will have a deathbed conversion. Can’t imagine being stuck in eternity with that voice.

A) A conference committee is always utilized to reconcile various differences between the House & Senate PASSED versions.

However; Budget Reconciliation as you know has been utilized most often by repubs for w’s trillions in DEFICIT & National Debt financed (Now Expiring) tax cuts for the top 2% known as “Leave No Billionairehead Behind” the failed policy delivering record low everything since 1938 which added in part nearly tripled US National debt by your r-tards. Nothing Galt posts has any bearing in reality.

you do realize that not all Christian denominations follow salvation by grace dogma?

Some follow salvation by good works, some by grace alone, some require sacraments for salvation.

Your post seems to imply a specific sect of Christianity is “real”, that somehow your dogma trumps another convicted Christians dogma. I think your friend Paul wrote that sects should not rail against each other.

Did your special brand of Christianity somehow instill you with the right to circumvent God and be the judge of William and his beliefs? Did God delegate that authority to you?

Health Care is a Human Right

I just noticed the verbiage on the image.

So, does that mean humans have been living for all this time being denied the right of health care?

Can something be a Right that involves forcing someone else having their Liberty restricted?

It can be a law, sure. We have lot’s of those. But a Right?

I think it is very similar indeed, with the caveat that(so far) the American taliban types seem less violence prone.

I think I would be more accurate to call them
the ‘Amercan taliban lite’.

I think when you keep the profits with the people providing medical care, we keep that money circulating in our communities and that benefits many. Right now, the Clinics and Hospital have to charge those that can pay, unbelievable amount to compensate for those unable to pay, because of lack of Insurance or being denied for the profits (PIGGISH PROFITS) being sucked out by the Health Insurance Industry. All I know about the Canadian system is, after talking to many Canadian Truckers, they are all so pleased with their system of Health Care and they pay less when we consider the amount of taxes combined with our medical costs per person. Their wait time is no different than what I have experience here in the states especially if you need to see a specialized Physician. My favorite female Doctor, when I lived in WI. had a wait time of almost 6 wks. out because she was so good and popular. More recently, in crisis our wait was a week to see a Cardiologist and then they squeezed us in. I agree the size of our Country presents different challenges, but if we eliminate the Piggish Profit by Health Insurance Companies and Shareholders, it give us more wiggly room for solutions for Providers and their Patients. Just my humble opinion!

Reconciliation on Health Care Reform is to start Monday,

I think that the Senate has already passed the bill. It’s the House that needs to muster the votes. The whole reconciliation strategy has been used to change the language to satisfy the House members that are shaky.

What sounds like is happening is that the Speaker has given up hope of negotiating with the abortion opponents and is going to try to pass the bill in her chamber using some other form of convincing. She is ‘prolly going to go after the House Dems who voted “no” before and get them to switch.
