"Here is what I DON’T like about the bill. For one thing, it should not be covering things like abortion. Taxpayer dollars should not be going to support such a thing and neither should insurance companies be required to have two plans"
Why?
Are you saying racial discrimnation is NOT OK,and other kinds of discrimination are NOT OK, but discrimination in terms of religious beliefs is OK?
Asking the same question differently, WHY are tax payer dollars going to save the life of a homeless person without money ANY holier than tax payer dollars going to a woman needing an abortion and unable to pay for it?
What makes you the arbitrator, judge that 1 is holier than the other? Are you God?

Galt, you're comparing business with government, which is definitely why YOUR analogy is flawed.

I hear it all the time, "If we ran our house the way our government ran our country, we'd be bankrupt!" or "If we ran our company the way the government is run, we'd be out of business!"

People. Please. Have a little respect for the differences among the institutions.

A business is not a family is not a church is not a government is not a school is not an army.

They all have different, various purposes.

The purpose of our government is to serve the people, and it doesn't get nearly enough credit for doing exactly that.

I notice that many tea partiers' mouths seem to be stuffed with government cheese, whether it's disability, Social Security, Medicare, Army pension, or, actual government cheese.

The only alarmingly irresponsible fiscal decisions I've seen have been made under Republican presidents, other than NAFTA, and that was Republican-compelled, as well.

So, no, I don't want our government run as a business, and I DO want it to look 10, 15, 20 years down the road.

"Why are those supporting Health Care Reform using an eleven year old child to make their point?"

Um....Because one would think that a motherless child would know what he was talking about?

"It is exploitative and shouldn’t be done."

Just an effing minute, please. By sitting on our hands when it came to capitalizing wealth on people's illnesses, wouldn't that be the worst of the exploitation here? Especially since that particular brand of capitalism, which is responsible for a 6th of America's economy, essentially can create orphans of America's children?

...So, and then, the drunk guy carried off one of the skirt-wearing Baptist wives, hoisting her over his shoulder and down the aisle while she giggled nervously, her keds-and-dark-socks-encased feet kicking successive passengers in their heads, all the way down to the bathroom where they both entered mile-high club heaven. Afterward, he yakked on her husband, and successfully projectile vomited onto the outer aisles of the plane, without hitting any non-Baptist infidels, WHATsoever.

The End.

(Just for you two, Obweon and John McKee.)

Rightwing republiklan evangelical extremists are desperate, despicable animals, who, by and large, deserve to spend the rest of their lives in a dog run at Gitmo.

They do NOT deserve to share the planet with human beings.

Alan,

Did you show this report to Bill? I say this, as it was attributed to his show on 3/16. Sorry, I didn't take the time to see what he actually said.

This is why I am not too trusting of everything I see on the Internet and hear on the Cable News Food Fight Channel.
