Last weekend's CBS Sunday Morning had three stories on books. The titles featured were: We'll Be Here for the Rest of Our Lives by Paul Shaffer, Step Out on Nothing by Byron Pitts and Occult America by Mitch Horowitz.

Monday's Good Morning America aired an interview with Sharon Robinson, author of Testing the Ice, and another with Diana & Liz Welch, authors of The Kids Are All Right. David Allen Grier, author of Barack Like Me, was on The Today Show. The same show had a segment with Nicole Williams, author of Girl on Top. Monday's View included a segment with Brian Ross, author of The Madoff Chronicles. Craig Ferguson spent Monday on Rachael Ray discussing American on Purpose. The Daily Show featured an appearance by Sarah Vowell, author of The Wordy Shipmates and Max Blumenthal, author of Republican Gomorrah, was on The Tavis Smiley Show.

Tuesday's Today Show included an appearance by Cesar Milan, author of How to Raise the Perfect Dog, and an appearance by Frank Warren, author of PostSecret. Laura Day, author of How to Rule the World from Your Couch, was on Good Morning America on Tuesday and Martha Stewart on Wednesday. Tuesday's View included a segment with Alton Brown, author of Good Eats.

Wednesday's Good Morning America had a segment with Steve Harvey, author of Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man, and another segment with Julie Andrews, author of Julie Andrews' Collection of Poems, Songs, & Lullabies. Brian Boyle, author of Iron Heart, was on The Today Show. Wednesday's Rachael Ray Show included an appearance by Sherri Shepherd, author of Permission Slips. Alison Gopnik, author of The Philosophical Baby, was interviewed on The Colbert Report and Tavis Smiley hosted Richard Belzer, author of I Am Not a Psychic.

Amanda Brooks, author of I Love Your Style, and Larry Johnson, author of Frozen were on The Early Show on Thursday. The Today Show included an interview with John Anderson, author of Stand by Her, and a piece on Eric Carle's Very Hungry Caterpillar which has been selected as a "Jumpstart Read for the Record" title. Nancy Grace, author of The Eleventh Victim, was on Rachael Ray. The Colbert Report included an interview with Colin Beavan, author of No Impact Man and Cornell West, author of Brother West, was on Thursday's Tavis Smiley Show.

Deborah Norville, author of The Power of Respect, was on The Today Show this morning. Good Morning America included an appearance by Rory Tahari, author of Lists for Life, and by Chris O'Dell, author of Miss O'Dell. Jean Twenge, author of Generation Me, is to be on Dr. Phil today and ABC's 20/20 this evening will air a story on Carmina Salcido's Not Lost Forever and another story on Valerie Bertinelli and her new book, Finding It.

Last Saturday's Weekend Edition included an interview with Victor Lavalle, author of Big Machine. Harry Maclean, author of The Past Is Never Dead, was profiled on All Things Considered on Saturday and David Byrne discussed The Bicycle Diaries on Sunday's Weekend Edition.

Monday's Morning Edition included an interview with Max Cleland, author of Heart of a Patriot. Bill Frist, author of A Heart to Serve, and Howard Dean, author of Howard Dean's Prescription for Real Healthcare Reform, were on Monday's On Point and the Diane Rehm Show included an interview with A.S. Byatt, author of Children's Book.

A story on Tuesday's Morning Edition discussed Christopher Andrews forthcoming Defend the Realm and Rich Benjamin, author of Searching for Whitopia, had a segment on Talk of the Nation.

Wednesday's Diane Rehm Show included an appearance by Michael J. Sandel, author of Justice. Michael Chabon discussed Manhood for Amateurs on Fresh Air. Wednesday's On Point included an hour with Mark DiVincenzo, author of Buy Ketchup in May & Fly at Noon and Taylor Branch, author of The Clinton Tapes, had a segment on Talk of the Nation.

Thursday's Morning Edition featured an interview with David Loyn, author of In Afghanistan. The Diane Rehm Show during hour one included a discussion with Barry Friedman, author of The Will of the People, and Jeffrey Rosen, author of The Supreme Court and All Things Considered aired a story on William Burroughs' Naked Lunch.
