        <description>Students: the USC Libraries are&amp;nbsp;adding at least 300 Spanish&#45;language e&#45;books&amp;nbsp;to their permanent collection and need your help making the selections. The first 15 USC students who recommend ten or more titles from the Digitalia Hispanica collection that are added to the libraries&#39; permanent e&#45;book collection will receive a USC Libraries t&#45;shirt or tote bag. During that time, the complete&amp;nbsp;Digitalia Hispanica&amp;nbsp;collection of more than 8,000 e&#45;books and e&#45;journals is available to the USC community through the USC Libraries&amp;rsquo; website.         <description>On Friday, November 9, Professor Mei&#45;hwa Yang of Taiwan&#39;s National Chengchi University will deliver a lecture inside USC&#39;s East Asian Library&amp;nbsp;about scholarly electronic resources related to Sinology. Titled Voyage of Discovery,&amp;nbsp;the event runs from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m.&amp;nbsp;in the East Asian Library Seminar Room, located on the first floor of Doheny Library.&amp;nbsp;The event is sponsored by the Republic of China&#39;s Ministry of Education, organized by Taiwan&#39;s National Central Library and Center for Chinese Studies, and co&#45;organized by the Tapei Economic and Cultural Office in Los Angeles and the USC Libraries.         <title>Business Librarian Helps University Advancement Officers Navigate Corporate Research Resources</title>

        <description>Librarian Ed Tinoco of USC&#39;s Crocker Business Library was the featured guest at a March 18 meeting of USC advancement officers, where he provided an overview of the USC Libraries&#39; extensive collection of business&#45;related resources.

	In a 90 minute presentation, Tinoco showed the officers how to navigate both company&#45;specific and industry&#45;specific databases to find information on potential research sponsors and corporate partners. He also discussed how the assembled officers could access electronic journals and other publications through the USC Libraries to stay current with industry trends.</description>
