        <description>Monsters take many forms, from vampires to serial killers and from viruses to black holes. A new USC Libraries exhibition asks, What Makes a Monster?, through one central exhibition in Doheny Library&#39;s first&#45;floor Treasure Room and satellite exhibitions in four other library locations. After visiting the central exhibition in Doheny Library, explore the meaning of monsters across the academic disciplines at the Helen Topping Architecture and Fine Arts, Norris Medical, Science and Engineering, and VKC libraries.&amp;nbsp;What Makes a Monster? is on display through May 31, 2015.</description>

        <description>The From the Archives series on KCET&#39;s Artbound website continues with a look at more architectural drawings from the archival&amp;nbsp;collections of USC&#39;s&amp;nbsp;Helen Topping Architecture and Fine Arts Library. In her latest contribution,&amp;nbsp;librarian Ruth Wallach places selected drawings on a continuum from initial sketches to finished pieces prepared for clients&#39; eyes, analyzing what the drawings say about their creators&#39; work, their clients&#39; preferences, and the architectural style&amp;mdash;California Modern&amp;mdash;they depict. The series&#39; first installment, which Wallach also wrote, highlighted drawings of ranch houses.</description>
