One of my favorite looks as we transition into Summer is wearing my long sleeved, thinner sweaters with shorts and sandals. I love the proportion of the long sleeves with bare legs. I picked up this sweater at Old Navy for $3. Best. Deal. Ever! I was really excited when I pulled on these shorts and they were loose. Everywhere. These shorts used to be so tight and I am hoping to wear them a few more times before they are way to big. Since I was wearing gray (again) I felt that black shoes and accessories made a statement without taking away from the outfit.

I am so sad that another great weekend has come to an end!

I swear the funner my weekends are, the more depressed I get when I have to start the work week. Speaking of fun, my weekend was one of the best I have had in awhile. It was birthday extravaganza. On Saturday my bestie turned 3-0 and her husband, mother in law and sister in law through her an incredible surprise party. Good friends and family, amazing food and open bar...let's just say that I had my dad pick me up (30 going on 18? Or Super smart? SMART...DUI check points are everywhere on holiday weekends. My dad really is the best!). On Sunday I had a friend in town so we went to lunch and then shopping before heading out to Newport Beach for another friend's party. Dinner at one of my favorite restaurants, getting to see my sissy and staying at an incredible villa was awesome. Monday included brunch overlooking the ocean and a BBQ with great friends. Now you can see why I am sad for it all to end!

I want to wish my BFF, Sarah, a very HAPPY Birthday! She is one of my biggest supporters and has been with me every step of the way. She was the person who really pushed me to start a Style Blog! I am lucky to have her on my side! Wishing you the most amazing and blessed year! Love you!

I wore this exact outfit on Saturday night and the skirt again on Sunday night after I switching up my top and shoes. I was called Pocahontas more than a few times due to the awesome, sequin tribal print skirt. I am in love with it! I first saw it on The Fashionable ESQ and went out immediately to find it! I wanted to play down the sequins to make them more wearable. A basic tee, grandpa cardi and sandals gave me the casual look I needed. I really like how this look came together.

HAPPY Memorial Day!

I hope that you all are enjoying the long weekend with your families and loved ones. I am so THANKFUL to live in a country that is protected by brave and selfless men and women. THANK you to those that serve, have served and that sacrificed for Americans.

It has been awhile since I posted a mani on the blog. For those of you that don't know, I gave up getting regular mani/pedi's about a year ago after a career change. I do my own and think I have gotten pretty good at it. I change my nail color every 5-6 days and LOVE trying out the latest trends and colors. It is the easiest way to go trend crazy without spending a lot of money and being age appropriate. I feel like Instagram has been the best way to showcase my latest color combo versus posting weekly on the blog. But since Heather of Glitter and Gloss began her Manicure Monday link up a few weeks ago I will participate every now and then. :)

After going neutral on my nails for my Birthday, I was craving something BRIGHT and fun! I posted a few color combo's on Instagram asking for everyone's opinion since I couldn't choose at that moment. Everyone picked the blue/yellow combo. And I didn't follow everyone's suggestion. Haha. When I actually went to paint my nails I wasn't feeling it. Plus I have that yellow on my toes and don't generally like being matchy matchy!

It's Friday, Friday...

And it is a HOLIDAY weekend!

She is one of my biggest supporters and such a GREAT gal. I am so excited to meet her next month. IN the meantime she is hosting a "What's in my Bag" link up today (she also does Mani Monday's). I was in work out gear all day yesterday getting so much done for the blog. I have Monday's post done (hint hint...I may be linking up to Mani Monday), I set up my blog 's new email, along with a new twitter handle, I learned how to create collages in Photoshop (thanks to my boss) and I wrote a guest post for Nikki over at Bedazzles after Dark (you should check her out!). I am grateful to have a reason to post today.

I JUST swapped bags a few days ago so my bag was SUPER clean. Not even a stray receipt was floating around in there. This is what I carry day in and day out!

Pens and Pencils: I only use Sharpie pens and BIC automatic pencils. I honestly use pencils WAY more than pens. I like to be able to correct mistakes. Type A alert!
iPad: I love having this to read and browse the web when I am out and about.
iPhone and iPad charger: I am on my phone WAY TOO MUCH. I am ALWAYS needing my charger daily!!

I worked with Handbags and Small Leather Goods for years! They are my favorite. One thing I learned is how personal they are. Your bag and wallet really showcase your personal style and idiosyncrasies. My bag says that I am trendy while my small leather goods are more on the classic side.

I didn't realize I was in such a tonal mood. I wore black and gray yesterday in an outfit that you all LOVED! That look sure was popular and I am kind of nervous to be showing you a look in the same color tones. My look yesterday was a little sassier while today's look is definitely more work appropriate. Mini skirts just don't quite work in the office!

Speaking of 50 shades...How many of you have read the book and/or the trilogy? All I have to say is that I am sad I read them and that I don't have a significant other in my life! You all know why! ;)

This dress is another Target special. I picked this baby up on sale last year for under 15 bucks. I loved the subtle print and that it was a little looser on top. I have so many belts that I can pair with the dress to change up the look. I have been on a neon binge and thought that pink would be an awesome pop for this dress. I busted out the ever popular DC Dolce Vita 'Archer' sandals and my neon skinny belt. To play up the gold hardware on the shoes I wore a gold necklace and rings to tie the look together.

Happy Wednesday friends!

We are only two days away from the Holiday weekend. Woot. Woot.

Do any of you have any fun plans for the weekend? I wish that I was going to the River to be out on the lake all day long. But I am not ;)

Yesterday I went to a taping of Chelsea Lately and had a blast! The show will air on Monday evening so if you watch the show look for me in the audience. This is what I wore to the taping. I wanted to look cute but had NO clue what to wear. I figured that i couldn't go wrong with a blouse, skirt and some heels. I know that I talk about Stylemint tees a lot but this top has to be one of my favorites. It is so easy to wear and can be dressed up or down. I really like the sheer side panels. This skirt is a couple years old (I bought it for my 28th birthday) and it is always nice to pull out on random occasions. Some days I really like to wear tonal colors and get my pop from a piece of jewelry.

I have been in a maxi kind of mood.

I think I am rebelling against form fitting clothes since I know I should be looking to buy some things in smaller sizes. I am still not comfortable wearing form fitting outfits (plus I still have many more pounds to lose). Why should I be looking for other things when my maxi skirts and dresses are just so darn cute? ;)

I was so excited to find a decently priced denim vest that I bought it in my old size because I know I can have it tailored as I lose weight. It is such a great piece to just throw on and change the look of an outfit. I gravitate towards sleeveless pieces, especially in the Summer, due to the heat and never wanting to wear something that could possibly show sweat. This is a versatile piece that is season less. I have a feeling that it will be on the blog all Summer long. I paired it with a simple white tank and a floral skirt that I bought last year. Paired with a metallic sandal it was an easy peasy look.

It's official...

Birthday Hangover has set in.

I have to move on and realize that I have no other excuse to "celebrate" my birthday again until next year. That just depresses me.

BOO! HOO!

On a positive note, I celebrated my Big 3-0 with friends and family on Saturday. I have had the most incredible week and I am SO SO SO Thankful to have the most amazing people in my life. I am beyond blessed and I could not be more grateful. We had a pool party at my complex with a taco bar, rice krispie treats and brownies in lieu of cake. Unfortunately I am not Martha Stewart and my party was not at Pinterest level. Haha.

If you were wondering what I did on my actual birthday (and you don't follow me on Twitter or Instagram), I spent the evening with my BFF, her fiance and a friend. We went to Katsuya in Hollywood. The food was amazing, I found my new favorite drink "Burning Mandarin" and the ambiance was pretty fab. Definitely recommend it to anyone!

It didn't take long for my mint skinnies to make an appearance on the blog again. I am in love with them. What I don't love is how they don't look mint in pictures. Haha. I have been having fun pairing them with different pieces in my closet. After last week's post my friend Alissa ran out to buy them and then posted three looks. I loved each of them and have been inspired back by her ideas. I threw this outfit on while running errands with my mom. We went shopping for my big 30th birthday that is taking place tomorrow! I am SO excited to celebrate with my family and friends.

I wanted to try a tonal look with my mint jeans. I picked up this tank on MAJOR sale at Old Navy last month. It was $1.50 and I had been in love with it for awhile and just never got around to buying it until it was on clearance. SCORE for me! I love that the mint stripes are a shade brighter than the jeans. Cognac paired with mint is a favorite color combo right now. I won these Sam Edelman's in a Twitter contest a few weeks ago and was ecstatic to receive them in this color! They are my absolute favorite sandal and you will be seeing them all Summer long (I have 4 pairs). I kept my jewelry to a minimum. I was comfy all day!

I have been having a serious love affair with tribal prints.

My love started last summer, seen here in this post, and continues to grow. When I went shopping for the Stagecoach music festival a few weeks ago I walked away with four pieces of tribal print clothing. There are sneak peaks in my last two posts, a dress and a pair of shorts. I also picked up this maxi skirt. I loved the colors, the length works with flats and with wedges. That is a HUGE win in my book.

I actually wore this outfit to work on my birthday. It was casual and chic which is what I hope to accomplish when dressing for work. A basic tank and my go to Sam Edelman 'Gigi' sandals let the skirt be the focal piece. Adding some jewels completed the look.

Hair.

We have it, we love it or we hate it, most people want the type of hair they don't have. I have spent years trying to work with my natural texture. Thousands of dollars on styling, products and accessories to try to make my hair look decent. I have dry, coarse, frizzy hair. I tend to liken my natural hair to resemble Mufasa from The Lion King. Yes, my friends, my hair is THAT good. ;)

This is actually a BETTER "dried" hair day!

When the kind marketing team at Misikko reached out to me to try their 1.5" Hana Flat Iron, I could NOT pass up the opportunity. I mean, I get to try a top of the line product and tame my beast! Done and Done!

I have spent the last three weeks using this flat iron and trying my hand at different styles. The flat iron heats up SUPER fast and gets up to 400 degrees which is SUPER important in my book. I need the heat to really make a difference on my hair. I love that the plates are wider (my last flat iron was less that an inch wide). You may laugh but my favorite thing was that the iron came with a heat resistant carrying case. I tend to be on the go and have been taking a ton of weekend trips so being able to unplug and pack it immediately has been huge. I have forgotten to grab my flat iron numerous times because it was cooling down.

I want to show you three ways that I was able to style my hair.

First, I obviously did the basic and straightened my hair. It took me about 6 minutes and was sleek and straight ALL day. I have to say that I don't care for my hair straight and you won't see it straight often!

Second look, my go to hair style is waves/curls. I LOVE that I can use a straightener to get my hair to look exactly like I would with a 1 1/4 inch curling iron. It takes me about 12 minutes to do my hair like this. I wore my hair in this style the third day of Stagecoach in Palm Desert and it stayed all day and night (I did have the desert, dry heat on my side. My hair always looks best in the desert!)

My third look, is true beachy waves. I only half curled, large pieces of hair with the straightener. I then used Bumble and Bumble beach spray to give it texture and make it look piecey. This look took me about 5 minutes.

I. Am. Thirty. Years. Old (young?)

I have so much that I want to say yet I am not quite sure how to word it. I have been chock full of emotions all weekend when it finally hit me that the big day was coming.

My twenties were quite the ride. I learned so much about myself. I learned what I want, what I do not want, what I will settle for, what my deal breakers are and I know who I am. I will look back on my twenties with no regrets, full of knowledge and with complete happiness.

I had an incredible last day of my twenties. Since my mother was in Arizona with my sister I had a lot of time to spoil myself. I slept in, did a little {window} shopping, got a mani/pedi, laid out with a book by the pool, had dinner with my best friend, her family and little girls, had cocktails by the fire pit and snuck a work out in. Pretty much a perfect day!

I am honestly SUPER excited for my Thirties. I truly feel like the Thirties are for LOVING. Loving myself, first and foremost. Hopefully finding the kind of love with someone that leads to marriage. The unconditional love of having a child. And lastly just loving life whether all of that happens or if none of that happens. One thing I know is that I am enough. I am confident in who I am, where I am going and with the decisions I have made. I am not in control anymore and have given the wheel to the Lord. I am trusting that he knows the desires of my heart and that his plan is better than mine could ever be!

If you have been reading for the last few months you may be wondering if I achieved my weight goal. I wanted to lose 30 pounds by my 30th birthday. I have spent the last 19 weeks working out 5x a week, the last four weeks working out 2x a day, three times a week. I have changed my diet and changed my life. Unfortunately I am a few pounds shy of my goal. I am trying not to dwell on it (super hard for me) and not be down on myself because I have accomplished so much. I am proud of the changes, I have created new healthy habits and I am starting my Thirties on a path to a trim, healthy and strong body. That means the world to me!

All I want is to blow out my candles from a Sprinkles Salty Caramel Cupcake.
It is the one thing in life that I cannot resist. It is spectacular tasting!
And when I get married...I will be having these instead of a cake.

So with all of that said I would like to give a big 'CHEERS' to you all!

I am like 98% of the blogging world and LOVE mint.

I have been on the search for mint denim since the first time I saw them on a blogger way back when. I couldn't spend a lot of money on them and I wanted a true mint. Like the color of mint chocolate chip ice cream. Target has been my go to spot lately and I have to say they have been killing it! I don't know if you follow The Budget Babe but she always finds the most killer deals on trends and was posting pics of Target's Fall Preview on her Instagram. Fall looks phenomenal, the pieces are trend right and always at a great price. So when I walked in to Target to look for neon orange shorts that my good friend Jacqui from Baby Boy Bakery was wearing...I found these mint skinny's! They aren't perfect but they are a great price and fit well. I heart them.

I wanted to toughen them up a little. Pastel blue is very sweet and I am not typically a 'sweet' dresser. I fell in love with this Stylemint top (YES, another one. This was my May pick) and knew it would be great with these jeans. I am dying over the sheer side panels and sleeves. Paired with my trusty DVF wedges I had an outfit!

What I Wore: Inspired By and Letting Go

The one thing that I have learned about blogging, and life really, is how everyone is inspired in different ways, by different people and look at things completely opposite (for the most part) than me. I am actually used to not seeing eye to eye on things with the majority of people. I will blame it on my up bringing but I will NEVER apologize for it. I bring this up because I think it gives you a little insight to me. I am drawn to edgier, out there, push the envelope "fashion" bloggers. I LOVE seeing their creative minds at work, even though I could not pull off 97% of what they wear. I am also drawn to some incredible "personal style" bloggers (my blog is a personal style blog and not a fashion blog) and learn so much from them. I used to read a lot of lifestyle blogs, mommy blogs, family blogs as well and find that I just don't get anything out of them anymore. So I have stopped reading most of them on a regular basis but do stop by from time to time. I love a challenge and am always trying to learn and grow as a person, in my style and in life. I have learned to do what is best for me.

Many times when I am getting dressed I have a certain blogger in mind. Today's outfit reminds me SO much of my dear blogger friend, Megan of The Frugalista Diaries. She is a blogger that tries new things while having a a true sense of self style. I love that she ALWAYS wears heels and her layering abilities 'wow' me. She has been rocking the shorts, heels and over sized top look a lot...and I dig it. I love this one, this one AND this one. These looks inspired me to put this look together.

I knocked out two trends with one stone. What! What!

A little tangerine tango and floral print.

I bought these shorts last year and I am so excited that they are still in and that I get another year's wear out of them. This is my new Stylemint top, it is made out of sweatshirt material and I am seriously in love with it. Since the outfit was so bright I knew I needed a neutral shoe that complemented but didn't compete, yet still stood out. My Shoemint 'Chloe's' were the obvious choice. I am pretty much obsessed with my Kate Spade 'Gumdrop' earrings. I paired them with a more subdued coral necklace and a lilac ring. I felt sassy all day!!

Happy Hump Day!!

We are half way through the week...YAY!

I don't know if it is because my birthday is on Monday or that my work/fitness/personal life is insane but this week is flying by. I wanted to write a fabulous post about the Fashion Show I judged (next week...hopefully), I wanted to try and respond to some blog comments (I have 1000+ emails that need attention) and I wanted to visit some of you (isn't happening anytime soon. I am SO SORRY!!) but I only have one goal in mind (my 30x30) and that takes precedence. Don't hate me...I still love you all!!

P.S. THANK You for those that still comment even though I have not been as generous. It means a lot!!

SO this outfit...

I saw this dress last month on Target Style's Facebook and knew I HAD to have it even though the comments on it were less than pleasant. I am DIGGING the hi/lo (aka MULLET) look and my mint obsession is getting out of control. So this dress was right up my alley. Paired with a black skinny belt and my favorite (right now) wedges I knew this look was perfect for judging my local High School's fashion show. A little secret...I HAD to wear my hair in the bun because I had work out hair. Ewwww....gross, I know! But I only had time for a rinse. Thank the Lord for dry shampoo ;)

How many of you have been watching Fashion Star?

I know the show opened to many mixed reviews and tonight's episode is the second to last. I was able to actually be at the taping for this episode (it was taped last August) and had such high hopes for the show. I agree with many that there was too much information for an hour episode and that they set up the show horribly. It was hard to follow and they seemed to skip designers and mentor's commentary. I do think that it has gotten a little better as they have eliminated designers. I don't know if the show has gotten the ratings for a second season, but if they do the show again I am hoping the change some things. As for the talent...it is a mixed bag. Many of the designers didn't impress me at all. I am kind of surprised at the attitudes of some of the designers as well. My favorite and the one I am rooting for is, Orly Shani. I love her attitude, the fact that she wears her heart on her sleeve and obviously her designs. My fingers are crossed that she makes it to the finale and doesn't get cut tonight (we weren't able to see the elimination so I don't know).

If someone were to listen to my opinion on how to make the show more marketable, these are the things I would do...

Set up the show on a format: there needs to be continuoty for the viewer to understand how the show works, who the designer is and give everyone fair air time.
Drop Elle (she is gorgeous but not a great interviewer or host) and find someone who can carry the show and ask appropriate questions
Give the mentors more time to advise and share their talent
Challenge the designers to make similar pieces so that we can see where their strengths and weaknesses lie.
If necessary make the first few episodes longer so that you can really get depth out of the contestants and mentors.

I hope that you will tune in tonight and keep an eye out for me in the audience! I am to the left of the stage, smack dab in the middle. Best bet in catching a glimpse is when they are looking at the buyers :)

Let me know what you think of the show, I am interested to see if you loved or hated it. The concept is there but it leaves me longing for more.

One week...

One week til my Birthday!!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I spent the weekend relaxing. I have been going non stop and needed to kick back a little. I realized this when I completely slept through my alarm (missing my work out) and making me almost (really) late for work. I think my body was trying to tell me something. In the mad race to make it to work on time I literally pulled out these clothes and threw them on. Surprisingly I love how the outfit turned out even though it was super casual. Honestly...this is how I tend to look more often then not.

This outfit had a kind of rocker feel. Snake print jeggings with an old concert tee screams rocker to me. Haha. I just grabbed my blinged out flip flops, threw on some sunnies and ran out the door

My birthday is in TEN days. Goal day.

I am so wrapped up in my fitness regimen that I haven't even focused on the fact that I am turning 30. I am actually really excited to start my thirties. I have been working SO HARD these last few weeks. I have been doing two work outs a day several times a week. I am LOVING yoga. I can feel the difference in my body. It is so crazy. I have been able to run for almost fifteen minutes straight and I am increasing my endurance every day. I can officially say that I am slightly addicted. I don't have a clue what to do with my time if I am not planning around my work outs. Haha. A couple days a week I have been getting up at 6am to go to the gym. I shock myself every time I do it because I am NOT a morning person. There are not many people in the gym at the time and I have the machines to myself. It gives me time to think.

I have mentioned before that I am SUPER hard on myself. Regardless of how far I have come the only thing I can focus on is how much more I need to accomplish. I tend to focus on the areas that I hate (which of course are the slowest to lose fat. My core and inner thighs) and it is hard for me to see the changes, even if they are slight. I continue to hit speed bumps mentally in this whole process. It continues to blow my mind how much I have to work on the inside as well as the outside. This is definitely a marathon and I am slowly making my way to the finish line.

I haven't talked about clothing the last couple of months because I have had the hardest time finding things that I truly like. I am continually buying my basics from Target when they go on clearance. I am always browsing the Nordstrom website looking for new items and markdowns. I did go into Lululemon but was intimidated by the prices and the sizing. I am still hoping to pick up a no limits tank when I lose some more weight. I love the idea of that tank. I have been on the search for tanks that are loose around my midsection. My search intensified when I became obsessed with Yoga. I found a couple in the last week that fit my needs. They are both Zella, from Nordstrom.

I am also on the hunt for some shorts. I do not want booty shorts. They are not comfortable for me to work out in at all. Zella has a pair that hits right above the knee and a bike short pair. I am hoping to try on both and see which length is the most flattering. I am dying to find a cropped legging that hits about 2-3 inches above my ankle and just under my calf (similar to these but without the price tag). I have pants to my ankle and just below the knee. I think that this length will elongate my leg. I am having a great time buying work out clothes. I am finding a way to shop even as I lose weight. Shocking, I know! :)

Results:

I have about 7-8 pounds to go in the next two weeks. I don't know if I will hit the thirty pounds by my birthday. You would think that the pounds would be dropping off of me as much as I have been working out. Unfortunately that hasn't happened. I know that my PCOS has a lot to do with it. While it sucks and it is hard to overcome mentally, I am proud of myself for doing all that I can.

Goals:

- Stay on track and push myself

- Continued Discipline in diet

- Overdose on H20

- HAVE FUN!

We all have those days...

You know the days where you think you look pretty good, then you see pics and think otherwise. I loved the idea of this outfit. But I don't think it translated well. I am not loving the black over sized sweater and the whole outfit looks sloppy. You win some, you lose some. I just wish I had other pics for a post so that you wouldn't have to see the lackluster outfit. Oh well. This is my life. :)

I will say that I am in LOVE with these pants.

I have wanted a more neon coral pair and found these at Target when buying some dresses for my weekend. They are the perfect coral and are so comfy.

For 23 bucks, I couldn't pass them up. I am also slightly obsessed with these Kate Spade earrings. The coral has been in heavy rotation. I ended up picking up the pink pair as well. They kind of go with everything.

Hey Friends!

I am still alive ;)

I survived one of the FUNNEST weekends of my life. I am hoping to recap it (and what I wore) by Friday. I have been filling every spare minute with plans and work outs. I literally fall into bed and pass out. Don't be fooled...I am LOVING it. I am truly living and happy. SUCH an incredible feeling!

My Big 3-0 is in less than two weeks. YAY!! Looking forward to it!

This outfit is from last week. Kind of simple but my neon shoes and earrings bring a little excitement to it. My coworker (after wearing these shoes, and these, and these) made the comment that I must REALLY like bright shoes. He is a guy and doesn't get it. BUT he likes all of my shoes. Haha. Some days you dress for comfort but don't want to lose your personal style. This was one of those days.

This is going to be short and sweet.

I am crazed and a busy little bee.

I am working, working out twice a day and getting ready to head out to a three day long music festival. I am so beyond excited. I feel like a kid who is getting ready to go to Disneyland for the weekend. Eeeeeeekkkk!!!!

This top is a tidge out of my comfort zone (you know how I feel about stripes). These wide stripes are not the most flattering BUT I love the neon and neutral colors. I wanted to pair the look with pink accessories to pop the pretty basic tee and jeans looks. I don't love the way these jeans fit right now. Although I am really excited to buy some new jeans soon that FIT. Woohoo!

The CA weather is a tad bit Bipolar right now. Or it's a Katy Perry song, "Your hot then your cold!" It was 90 on Saturday and I spent the day by the pool and now it is raining. I thought we were in the clear. Boo! On a positive note I think I figured out how I can get outfit pics done so my blog can keep chugging along. If nothing delays me I can squeeze pics in after work and before my second work out. So you won't have to miss me for too long ;)

I call this my lumber jack look. My love for plaid is still going strong. I will say that I am excited to wear these booties as much as I can. The bright colors in my top make me happy and bring a little sunshine to the dreary day!

I feel like it is another Manic Monday!

I hope you all had a great weekend. I definitely had a good one. It has been SO AMAZING to reconnect with friends and actually have time to spend with them. I have put so much focus into my fitness regimen that I have needed an outlet (and to get my mind off of the goal) to just enjoy myself. Last week I decided to incorporate additional workouts into my day, three times a week. I completed two 2 a days last week with along trying out a new Yoga/Pilates fusion class. I am aware that taking on more is a tad bit crazy but I am actually LOVING it! I have about 2 minutes a day to blog and I have not taken outfit pics in over a week! I don't see that changing in the next three weeks (3 weeks??? WHERE has the time gone??) as I pound away at my goal. I appreciate all of your support and love!

The LAX lights were PURPLE when I picked up my sis and nephew from the airport. Purple is my favorite color and it made me happy :)

Last Sunday I FINALLY got to see the Zac Brown Band in concert.

It's the weekend!

Woohoo!

This week flew by. Wow. I have been living in such a whirlwind. Have another busy weekend ahead of me. I hope you all have some exciting plans. The weather is supposed to be INCREDIBLE this weekend. I am hoping to lay out for a couple hours in between working out and going to another concert. At a winery. That should be a very good time ;)

I have to laugh that I am posting my rainy day outfit on such a gorgeous day. I wore this outfit last Friday when it was cold and rainy. I loved the neutral palette with the pop coming form my scarf. Leggings, boots, a flowy tee and scarf is a great outfit to stay warm and still look put together. I always wear my trench when it rains. It is the best investment piece for any wardrobe.

Happy Hump day!!

I have been quite M.I.A. in the Blogosphere and I don't think I am going to have much time in the next few weeks to tweet or comment on your blogs. It is taking everything in me to get regular posts up. So I apologize that I haven't been visiting and commenting. I notice that it definitely makes a difference on you coming to visit me (which is hard). So I hope you will continue to stop in from time to time as I focus on my weight loss goal and living it up the last few weeks of my twenties!

This outfit has instantly become a favorite. It is so easy to wear and it looks chic. These pants and my worn in chambray button up are like pajamas. It is starting to warm up and my toes are so happy. I love being able to bust out my open toed shoes. These LC Lauren Conrad sandals from her first release of her shoe collection were a huge staple for me last Summer. I love how they made my look a little more Springy. Simple jewelry and over-sized shades were the finishing touches.
