Sunday Gospel "For God So Loved the World" March 18, 2011

John 3: 14 - 21 - For God So Loved the World

14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, so must the Son of man be lifted up,
15 that whoever believes in him may have eternal life."
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
17 For God sent the Son into the world, not to condemn the world, but that the world might be saved through him.
18 He who believes in him is not condemned; he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only Son of God.
19 And this is the judgment, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.
20 For every one who does evil hates the light, and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed.
21 But he who does what is true comes to the light, that it may be clearly seen that his deeds have been wrought in God.

18 Hindi hinahatulang maparusahan ang sumasampalataya sa Anak. Ngunit hinatulan na ang hindi sumasampalataya, sapagkat hindi siya sumampalataya sa kaisa-isang Anak ng Diyos. 19 Ganito ang paghatol ng Diyos: naparito sa sanlibutan ang ilaw, ngunit inibig pa ng mga tao ang dilim kaysa liwanag, sapagkat ang kanilang mga gawain ay masasama. 20 Kinasusuklaman ng mga gumagawa ng masama ang ilaw, ni hindi lumalapit dito upang hindi mahayag ang kanilang mga gawa. 21 Ngunit ang namumuhay ayon sa katotohanan ay lumalapit sa ilaw, upang maihayag na ang mga ginagawa niya ay pagsunod sa Diyos.

What makes God Smile?

During Noah's time only he can made God sMILE. Because the entire worlld had become morally bunkrupt.

There are five acts of worship that make God Smile

God Smiles when we Love him supremely. What God wants most from us is a relationship."I don't want your sacrifices-I want your love; I don't want your offering- I want you to know me" Hosea 6:6
God Smiles when we Trust Him Completely. Noah pleased God by trusting God. "By Faith, Noah built a ship in the middle of dry land. He was warned about something he couldn't see, and acted on what he was told...As a result, Noah became intimate with God." Heb 11:7
God Smiles when we Obey Him Wholeheartedly. Noah built a boat and saving all the animals according to God prescribed it. He obeyed God completely and he obeyed exactly. That is whole heartedness. Doing God will without hesitation. Most of the time we offer God Partial obedience. Wholehearted obedience is done Joyfully, with enthusiasm.
God Smiles when we Praise and Thank Him continually. After surviving the flood, Noah first act was to express thanks to God by offering sacrifice. Because of Jesus sacrifice, we don't have to offer animal sacrifice. Instead we offer god sacrifice of praise (Heb 13:15) and sacrifice of thanks giving Ps116:17
God Smiles when we use our Abilities. Every human activity, except sin, can be done for God pleasure if you do it with an attitude of praise. We don't bring glory or pleasure to God by hidding our abilities or trying to be someone else. Anything we reject any part of yourself, we are rejecting God's wisdom and sovereignty. Every act of enjoyment becomes an act of worship when we thank God for it.

Since God knows what is best, in what areas of life do we need to trust him most?

"The Lord is pleased with those who worship him and trust his love" Psalm 147:11

Purpose 8 Planned for God's Pleasure

Bringing enjoyment to God, living for His pleasure is the first purpose of your life. God has feeling too. He feels angry compassion, sorrow and sympathy. God loves, delights, gets pleasure, rejoice and even laughts.

Bringing pleasure to God is called Worship. "The Lord is pleased only with those who worship and trust his love" Ps 147:11
Worship is far more than music. Ther is no biblical style of music. Worship is nothing to do with the style, volume or speed of a song. It is word that make the song sacred not the tune.
Worship is not for your benefit. God's heart is not touch by tradition in worship, but by passion and commitment. "these people come near to me with their mouth and honor me with their lips, but their hearts are far from me Their worship of me is made up only of rules by men" Isa 29:13
Worship is not part of your life, it is your life. Worship is not only for the church services and in every time of our life. " worship Him continually and praise Him from sunrise to suset"

Everything you do can be an act of worship, when wwe do it for the praise, glory and plesure of God. " So weather you eat, drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." 1 Cor 10:31

How can we we bring glory to God?
Whre in my daily routine can I become more aware of God glory?

We bring God glory by worshiping him. Worship is not only by praising , siging and praying to God. Rather worship is a lifestyle that we enjoy God, loving him and enjoying ourselves be used in his purposes.
We bring glory to God by loving other believers. as i have loved you, so you must love one another. by this all men will know that you are my disciples if you love one another.
We bring God glory by becoming like Christ. As the spirit of the Lord works within us, we become more and more like him and reflect His glory even more.
We bring God glory by serving others with our gifts.God has given gifts to each of you from his great variety of spiritual gifts. Manage them well so that God's generosity can flow through you... Are you called to help others? Do it all with your strength and energy that God supplies. Then God will be given glory. (1pet 4:10-11/2 cor 8:19b)
We bring God glory by telling others about him. As God's grace bring more and more people to Christ,...God will receive more and more glory . 2 cor 4:15

16 Habang naglalakad si Jesus sa tabi ng Lawa ng Galilea, nakita niya ang magkapatid na Simon at Andres na nanghuhuli ng isda sa pamamagitan ng lambat. Sila'y kapwa mga mangingisda. 17 Sinabi ni Jesus sa kanila, "Sumunod kayo sa akin at kayo'y gagawin kong mangingisda ng mga tao." 18 Pagkasabi niya nito'y agad iniwan ng magkapatid ang kanilang mga lambat at sumunod sa kanya. 19 Nagpatuloy siya sa paglalakad, at sa di-kalayuan ay nakita naman niya ang magkapatid na Santiago at Juan, na mga anak ni Zebedeo. Sila'y nasa kanilang bangka at nag-aayos ng mga lambat. 20 Tinawag din sila agad ni Jesus at sila ay sumunod din sa kanya. Iniwan nila sa bangka ang kanilang ama na kasama ang kanilang mga upahang manggagawa.

Former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo was “saddened” by a Senate panel’s decision to recommend plunder charges against her for the alleged misuse of Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) funds during her incumbency, one of her lawyers said Tuesday.

Lawyer Anacleto Diaz maintained that Mrs. Arroyo, now a congresswoman representing Pampanga’s second district, “never used her position to enrich herself.”

“The Senate report recklessly disregarded the point the former President Arroyo did not amass, accumulate or acquire any amount of the confidential intelligence funds of the PCSO which was the subject of the Senate investigation,” he said in a text message."

"Android users, be very careful: a new batch of malicious apps posing as popular games – including the massively popular “Angry Birds” – has invaded the Android Market.

Computer security firm Avast said the apps, published by developer Miriada Production, may send expensive SMS messages to premium numbers, at the users’ expense.

In a blog post, Avast said Google removed these malicious apps from the Android Market, but only after it alerted it to their presence."

CEBU CITY, Philippines – Millions of devotees and revelers participated in the religious and cultural event honoring the Sto. Niño de Cebu during the “festival of all festivals,” the Sinulog Grand Mardi Gras, Sunday.

According to the Cebu City Police Office (CCPO), millions of devotees attended the fluvial procession on Saturday morning and the solemn procession in the afternoon officially kick off the feast of the miraculous image of the Sto. Niño de Cebu, the Holy Child Jesus.

Except for a small motorized banca that sank during the fluvial procession participated in by at least 200 vessels, no other accident was recorded during crowded fluvial parade and the solemn foot procession that lasted nearly six hours."
