After the birth of my twin daughters I was looking for the time and a way to get back into shape. The easiest way that I could think of was to start exercising in a way that the girls could come with me. After some thought and product research I decided to buy a Schwinn Turismo Swivel Double Jogger.

I am on a budget and must admit I was surprised at the price range of double jogging strollers. I knew that I could not afford a top of the line jogger, but I didn’t want to buy the cheapest one I could find either. The Schwinn Turismo looked to be just what I wanted as I was looking for a jogger that was light weight, easy to fold and came with individual canopies. I wanted to get a jogger that had a swivel front wheel for trips to the mall as well as the ability to lock it straight for jogging.

Here is a list of some of the features that I found to be ueseful:
The handlebar height is adjustable

The front wheel can be locked and unlocked remotely from a button and trigger gimmick located just in front of the handlebar (yeah for you joggers!)

It comes with speakers (placed in mesh pockets in the sun shades) that you can connect to an mp3 player

The seat belts can be adjusted to 3 different heights

Parents also get two cup holders (with rubber inserts, no less, to keep your drink from spilling!) and a small caddy to hold keys/ cell phone/ mp3 player etc.

The seat backs recline individually and are adjusted by tightening/loosening a belt, but the way they’re adjusted is much easier that some others I’ve seen.

The seat backs are about 17″- 18″ tall, unlike some 12-13″ ones I’ve seen.

The seats are reclined back a bit even in the most ‘upright’ setting but if you want your kid to to be able to look out and front more easily, you can use the seat insert to prop his/her head.

It’s very easy to maneuver and seems to have a really soft ride (the kids bottoms will thank you )

I have found that for the price of the Schwinn Turismo Swivel Double Jogger, Red/Gray you really can’t go wrong! I have had mine for awhile now and highly recommend this one if you are in the market for a jogger.

I have also noticed that Amazon has some great reviews on this product as well and can be read here.

After finding out I was pregnant with twins, my search for the best infant car seat was on. After hearing friends and family’s horror stories, I was very cautious so I decided to do some research of my own. After searching for a few days I came across the Britax Marathon 70 Convertible Car Seat . The reviews on this car seat were great and I found out that one of my friends also had this same car seat and she highly recommended it.

The car seats are priced at $239 each, which I think is very affordable when it comes to the safety of my children. The girls really seem to like the seats and will ride in them for hours without fussing. The material in the picture online (in my opinion) makes it look like a smooth meshy wind-breaker like material… It is NOT like that at all. It’s a nice denim-like material that allows the seat to breathe better and not get stuffy and hot even in 90 degree weather when the car feels like a sauna.

In addition to the comfort and safety of this seat, I really liked the fact that I didn’t have to move the passenger seat up to the dashboard! Unlike other bulky car seats, this one fit nicely into the back of my compact sedan. Mid-size car approved as the best infant car seat! Especially with having to have 2 car seats, its nice that the room was still available for the driver and passenger as well.

Luckily I have never been in an accident (knock on wood), but I have come to several sudden stops and the seat barely moved. I feel so comfortable and safe when driving with my girls in this car seat and I am glad to have found and read all of the positive reviews on this product.

I would highly recommend the Britax Marathon 70 Convertible Car Seat, as it was recommended to me. If you are looking to keep your child safe and comfortable this is the car seat to choose. And I think $239 is well worth a child’s safety, especially mine. I am hoping to have several more children in the future that will also use this car seat, so I am glad to no longer have to worry.

I also see that it is highly rated on Amazon and think that if you are in the market for a new car seat you cannot go wrong with this one, I would buy these seats again without hesitation and truly feel that it is the best infant car seat on the market.

My husband and I decided on a Pack ‘n play as a portable bassinet after the birth of our twin daughters. After considering all of the options including buying two single Pack ‘n Plays, we decide to spend the extra money and purchase the Graco Pack ‘n Play portable playard twin bassinet.

The Pack ‘n Play was very easy to assemble out of the box and was set up within five minutes. The mattress board that comes with it can easily be wrapped with a receiving blanket, so there was no need to buy the expensive fitted sheets that are sold specifically for this unit.

The unit uses a single mattress board across the top that is divided into two bassinet areas. For the first couple of weeks we put each child in their own side, but eventually removed the bassinet part and allowed them to sleep together. Our daughters slept in the Pack ‘n Play exclusively for the first three months before transitioning to their cribs. We still use the Pack ‘n Play for naps one child at a time when we are traveling or at my parents house.

The twin unit is larger than a regular Pack ‘n Play which allows for more room to play when being used as a playard. When packing up two children and a bassinet to get out the door and get to work on time, it is nice how quickly the unit folds up and slides into its carrying case.

I would buy Pack ‘n Play portable playard twin bassinet again as it has done everything and more than I could ever have imagined. If you are on the fence about whether to buy two single Pack ‘n Plays, or the one twin Pack ‘n Play I would strongly recommend that you buy the twin one and guarantee that you will not regret your decision.
