You may remember Jenny and Aaron from their engagement session where their doggies, Priscilla and Elvis, made an appearance. :) Jenny and Aaron had an absolutely fun and elegant garden party wedding with lots of vintage flair at their home in Oakland. The wedding was inspired by the 1960s, and featured lots of candy colored details. Jenny spent lots of time on DIY projects, from a painted a portrait of her and Aaron, to the invites, programs, paper flowers, and bunting made from vintage sheet music which is a nod to Aaron’s musicianship. Jenny is a well-known artist in our area who creates pop inspired paintings.

Aaron and the groomsmen had a straight razor shave prior to the wedding, and Ray was there to capture all of the fun. Aaron wore a seersucker suit, and the groomsmen rocked vests and suspenders. The bridesmaids wore candy colored vintage dresses. Guests sipped on fabulous drinks from mason jars. Jenny’s mom wore the dress that she wore to her own wedding in the sixties, and she looked absolutely darling. Congrats to Jenny and Aaron!

Big thanks to the Wedding Chicks for featuring Jenny and Aaron’s fabulous candy colored 1960s inspired wedding!

Lucia and Jeremy had a wonderful wedding at the Sesnon House in Santa Cruz. Fun was their number one priority! They made their ceremony incredibly personal. They managed to include literally every one of their guests by passing their wedding rings on a ribbon, and each guest touched the rings before Lucia and Jeremy said their vows. Succulents were a big feature in the details, and each guest was given a succulent to take home as a favor. A friend created a cute pair of owl shaped wedding cake toppers, and the cake was draped in succulents and colorful flowers. Games were played during the cocktail hour, and Lucia and Jeremy even had a bean bag toss game that featured their likeness painted on wood. For their big exit, Lucia and Jeremy rode out on a bicycle built for two. And they actually rode this bike to their after party on the beach. Congrats to Lucia and Jeremy!

Recently I had a great time photographing Amy and Eric at the De Young Museum and Golden Gate Park in San Francisco. It’s always fun when couples include their pets in their engagement session. Their dog Jack made a guest appearance. :) Big thanks to Amy’s sister, Linda, for helping out with Jack during their engagement session. Amy and Eric are very warm people, and love to laugh and have fun together. It’s great when people are open to anything during their session. We’re looking forward to their wedding next month!

Katie Ann and Loic had a fun and urban San Francisco City Hall wedding surrounded by a small group of friends and family. After their ceremony at City Hall, we headed out to North Beach in a yellow checkered cab that was actually used on the TV show, Taxi. How fun is that? Katie Ann and Loic felt that getting married at City Hall was really romantic and they had a fun, relaxed party to celebrate afterwards! Congrats to Katie Ann and Loic!

Just a sneak peek of Sara and Rob’s gorgeous autumn inspired wedding. More photos to come. :)

You may remember Elana and Saul from their Noe Valley engagement session. They had a gorgeous wedding at the Bently Reserve in San Francisco. Family and music are very important to Elana and Saul, and you could definitely see this expressed in their wedding. After getting ready, Elana’s family walked her next door to the Bently, and they sang to her the entire time, literally from inside the hotel room til we reach the Bently! How fun is that? When Elana arrived at the Bently, she was greeted by the female guests, and their were two friends who sang songs and invited all of the ladies to line up and give a blessing to Elana, or just say hello and greet her. This was a beautiful time, very emotional and I was really teary eyed and moved by all of the emotional. What a beautiful way to be greeted before your wedding!

Ray photographed Saul with all of the male guests in a private conference room, and there was lots of singing there as well, in preparation for Saul to see Elana before the wedding during the bedekken ceremony, where the groom views the bride and he places the veil over her head before the wedding ceremony itself. Accompanied by Saul’s dad and Elana’s father, Saul arrived, the crowd parted, and he saw Elana for the first time after spending an entire week apart!

Elana and Saul’s ceremony was lit by candlelight, and they were married under a gorgeous chuppah decorated with orchids and other white flowers. After the ceremony, there was an insanely fun hora where all of the guests danced together to celebrate the wedding of Elana and Saul. Congrats to Elana and Saul!
