Why?? I felt that being a lecturer boost my confident level to 100%. Even though I just taught ’21-22 year old students’ which are much more younger than me and up to today they were still enthusiast with aquaculture subject, but the challenges are there. It’s gonna be really stressful and messy if I can’t manage my work properly and they will be put into boredom if my lecture ain’t working for the 21-22 year old students.

Hopefully this will last. I do hope that the ‘amusement’ about my job will not be long enough so that I will not change my career. Only God knows why. *Big sigh!!*

In our relationship, the person who talk a lot will be me. Sometime *ehem*, I even flick over nothing and even choosy over small-small thing. Easier to put in positive word is “meticulous” *heh*. The significant other of me are more cooler, laid back, relax, “owh theres accident, nothing to be worried, lets proceed driving” and even-tempered. Untill..

I really hope 2011 will continue to bring sunshine and whatever seeds that we planted in 2010 will grow into a beautiful plant that we’ve hope for. I’m going to a new place this new year. A new chapter will begin soon

I did remember we took almost an hour, just past the the yellow sign that we saw 200 meter before. Yet, the gate still yet to be seen.

However, there’s good news related to her, as MOSTI have a plan to build a center of R, D & C in Serdang. I do hope she can contribute something later.

What I like the most about the exhibition is the R&D that has been done by MOSTI, MIMOS, DOF and UPM for agriculture & aquaculture. Thinking of the integrated system or the technology that they’ve shown make me mesmerized.

Btw, the event is running until 5th December 2010. RM 3 for parking. I would like to advice to bring umbrella.

We (Fahmi, me and his parents) went to Sunway for a day out. The first day we head out to Ayam penyet Ria and archery and the next day was spent in Sunway Lagoon but without the water splash. Weird huh..Sunway Lagoon without the water park and surf beach. Actually, we never planned to go to the wet places since we didn’t bring any extra clothes..so the only choice is to go to the amusement and scream park. It was one hell of an exciting day.

About the Ayam Penyet ria in Sunway..It was finger licking good although the sambal is a bit spicy for me, but I was drooling all the time at the plate. A must visit again place I’d say. Two thumbs up!!The archery was the first time for both of us and I must admit I’m not good at it. Don’t fool by the picture. There’s this one time, I shoot the arrow when suddenly it came back to me. It was freaking hilarious. I’m no robin hood no-no !! but seriously I’d like to try again and this time you watch out Mr tukangkod !!

This exhibition was happen on 21st of November 2009. Yep! almost one year, how fast time fly. The exhibition called Da Vinci the Genius, to recognize the contribution that been done by Leonardo di ser Piero da Vinci.

Unfortunately, we cannot take any picture inside the showroom. It was really impressive to think that all the stuff that guy create and try to create for 500 year ago. From painting of Mona Lisa to the Vitruvian Man. From art to science. I still remember, when he create the big project, he will create small project and design to help archiving the big project. Just keep in mind, doing research and design at the time is not as easy as our time because they don’t have internet of knowledge archive nor CAD to help him. Very good perseverance and out of the box thinking for man of his time.

Botanical garden is the next stop. What I can say, it’s a really huge garden in a cool building. Lotsa greeneries from all around the world including malaysia. That’s the wrap for the day. Next we move to the next hostel

National Aquarium in Baltimore was the second last destination before we headed back to Hampton. It took around 45 minutes to reach here from DC. When we arrived, there’s a long queue in front of the Baltimore convention center. It’s a comic con. I manage to capture some of the weirdo costumes they have. We paid 30 bucks to get into the Aquarium, 4D Imax movie and the dolphin show. Awesome huh. I think Aquaria KLCC should do the same too.

Finally, we went to Marine Biotechnology lab just next to the Aquarium where my senior Kak Zari working with his PhD research. She bring us to her lab and show us around. They even have shark in the lab. How canggih and cool is that.

So that’s all for the short trip. The next 4 hours is the journey back home

Btw, back to my story..I’ve getting comfortable here, more like everything is turning normal and no upside down of homesickness anymore. Yeay!! We have gotten our fist batch of eggs but the hatch rates was not good so they ordered the second batch and our new babies is rocking now. We got to work everyday..7 days a week to keep the healthy growing babies.

Last 2 weeks, my S10-2 lenove broke down and I finally can shop for new brand lappy – the HP 210- from Amazon.com. It’s wondrous how online shopping can make holes in our pocket. Now I believe the internet power here can strangle our neck if not handled properly. It’s irresistible!!!

I don’t need to search too far to take an example. It happened to my parents. My father need to leave my mother with his 2 sons and a little girl (my old sister) in our hometown, while he survived alone working at the city. Must be hard! the time alone (economy down) is hard, plus adding to stay and thinking to feed 4 head at our hometown… He cannot afford to bring all my family to the city, no house, no money to start on. Just energy and maybe some money that was only enough for himself. I don’t really know the situation.  When I was born, my father was still alone in the city. working.

Yet they still together. My father once said, it was not easy to be alone, at that time people do anything to survived. Lust is everywhere. Back then, I was not really sure, but I think I understand right now. We cannot loose our self.

Trust.

We’ve discussed about this matter few months before she fly. This is the test for our relationship. This post is written 30 days after she fly, and I still think about her.

Hey, how you’re doing over there? It seems that I’ve been here for almost 2 weeks already. All I can say is I miss home..and I miss home. Although I learnt a lot here, the surrounding is what I can say the perfect combination to work and study, the people is friendlier than what I expected (in certain circumstances), nice places, nice weather, big groceries store with lotsa big fat food..BUT what I miss is the feel of home. I never feel homesick before, somehow I look down to other person with homesickness during my high school era long time ago. Now I know how the feeling is and I truly regret…I’m sorry ! I’ve to admit that what I do now to resolve those feeling is just thinking of the bright side of being here and my goal towards the end of this program and BE STRONG.

The other bright side of my journey here is I found a lovely Malaysian lady with her boyfriend (Amy and Danial). We went out last weekend and It was whole lotsa fun. We haven’t seen any Malaysian around here and I’m the first Malaysian she ever met. So..off we went to shop at Indian and Asian market, dinner at Indian restaurant and finally went for movie to watch Karate Kid. It was freaking hilarious and oh my I love Jaden Smith. He really have his daddy’s talent. How I wish to watch this movie with Mr Fahmi. He’s been looking forward to watch this movie too but he got no partner If anybody reading this and you haven’t watch this movie please accompany him for me..I beg !

On the final day, my family took her to my kampung in Seremban where she got to see our fish pond. She was amazed again. That was the last trip before she said good-bye that night. It was a four-days of sweetest memories. Come back again Hiroko !!

It’s been a while since I’m driving alone to the library, usually she will always be with me. She’s currently at Terengganu participating in UMTAS 2010. A symposium related to her field. She’s going to present the poster about her research. I hope she can win something, although this year’s symposium is more about biodiversity

Talking back about the library, my plan actually was to go yesterday. But I’m too lazy to go alone and also the rain and stuff. Have to drag my feet and there I was, in front of the adult library section counter. The librarian said to me that I got fine, duh! I don’t remember the date of return because usually she’s the one who remind me about the date.

Usually, I will collect around 4-6 book and sit to choose the 3 best books, but today I have 6 books to borrow. I took my time to choose and read. Then, when the time to borrow, there were a lot of people queue in both line. Don’t know why too many people today. Usually there barely 4 people in one line, but today is a different story.

The librarian who handle the queue is a very patient lady. She handle with professionalism and smile. Last time I remember seeing that kind of hospitality was with a male librarian and it was a year ago. If I come to audit the library, without a doubt ill give her full mark for hospitality and customer service. She is on the right side of the table, for evening shift (around 1pm – 3pm, 9th May 2010). I can’t remember her name but her hospitality really make me wish that our Government got a lot staff like her.

After going back, I thought to get some food for tonight. Usually, I’m too lazy to go out for dinner alone. Better get some gardenia bread and kaya spread. That enough for me to survive around 2-3 days. Arrive at Giant South City, suddenly there was a cute dog approach me right after I open the car door. Yikes! I love dog, but to play with them? I still remember the impression of the dog. Something like “oh my, there is a man! maybe he can give me some food”. “crap! he close the door!”.

There was a few Chinese couple saw me closed the door.

Ah.. few more minutes waiting for the EPL last game of the season. Hope for some miracle
