We once sold some led - light fashion accessories and they were sold like hot cakes for their uniqueness and punky styles.

However, LED - light projects are not just limited to watches, as we see them hooked to hats, belts, bags, pens, key chains and most recently, on teeth!

One can see these led - light accessories on teeth in Japan but they are not however intended for commercial use but as part of a marketing - advertising strategy of a store, Laforet Harajuku, to lure buyers. The strategy indeed worked since people expressed to buy the led - light teeth accessory instead.

The LED smile is controlled wirelessly from a computer interface, and, presto! Smiles change colors! To this date, workshops are given by the LED Smile project designers, Motoi Ishibashi and Daito Manabe, to help individuals have their own LED Smile. Isn't that cool.

My new NB Running 563

I quite complained of my foot injury after I used my latest Merrell trail run shoes on every run. So, blisters fill my foot and my ankle aches all the time.

So, to make eliminate the pain caused by wrong shoes, my partner bought me a new pair of New Balance Running 563, a stability trainers for my semi - flatfooted arch.

Using in my last 3 runs seem to make running better. I just however hope that it too would last in spite of the regular runs I make every week.

Come May 3, 2012, I shall be running my 2nd half - marathon race. And, although I was supposed to head to my family in another city for a long vacation, I have to keep it at bay to give way to my passion for running.

So, join us in this very rare half - marathon organized by the General Santos City Police Office along with its partners.

If you are a visiting runner, any of the cool gps tracking devices can be a big help or you can ask assistance from the running clubs in the area for support. If you are lucky, your friend based in General Santos City can help you with the route.

With two weeks left for practice, I hope to maximize it for less cumbersome run.

As my next website project, I wanted to complete the Kreativ Boutique website before I leave for a long vacation and start with the new school year come June.

However, unlike the other sites that I have done, I have to work with new pictures and that I come short.

And since my partner - photographer has left for his out - of - town gig, I have to endure using a low - end camera. I hope the quality won't be too compromised.

Managing a boutique is not an easy job because of the challenge is to sell only the authentic products. And, bag is one of the highly forfeited items that clients are quite conscious with.

Unfortunately, Longchamp bags are not at all exempted from counterfeiting. You can try the following basic criteria to assess the authenticity of your Longchamp bags:

Price. Because of the detailed craftsmanship on Longchamp bags, it is not surprising that they can be pricey. So, if a Longchamp is sold at much cheaper price, be more cautious.

Material. From the Longchamp official website, check out the their collections and colors among others. A fake Les Pliage is usually shiny and thick in material with a stiff and rough leather handles. An authentic Les Pliage has a matte finish and is lightweight and crisp with a smooth and soft leather handles.

Logo. The jockey - on - the - horse logo must be embossed centered above the snap. It's outline must be pressed on the leather. This logo is similarly seen on the button and on the zipper's circle.

Model Name. A fake typically has no model name, however, you have to assess whether the model name matches the actual bag. Your bag shall have any of the following model type:
sac a dos - backpack
type L - large tote, short handles
type M - medium-large tote, short handles
type S - small tote
"shopping" - large tote, long handles; medium tote long handles
cabas - rectangular, no zipper

Serial Number. The serial number in the bag must match the covers on the new Longchamp bags. Your tag should be marked as any of "AA" (Made in France), "AE" (Made in China) or "AB" (Made in Tunisia).

These are only from the readings I have made, but, the idea is to be vigilant when buying Longchamp bags. Buy only from legitimate outlets and positively reputed seller.

Along with 5 other running enthusiasts, I joined the training for barefoot running. I oftentimes endure blisters from long running and from wrong choice of socks or failing to put on petroleum jelly, but I know that midfoot strike shall make my performance better compared to my natural heel strike.

While there are no current scientific evidence to prove that heel strike may cause injuries, experts however say that heel strike shall acquire greater impact compared to midfoot or forefoot stances. While there are shoes to reduce impact still the chances of high injury
are still higher.

When kids run on bare feet, they drop on their forefoot or midfoot. Thus, it is smarter that we run on barefoot or minimalist shoes. It is shall be a challenge to change our running strikes but with training and practice, we can comfortably shift to forefoot or midfoot. However, increase only your mileage by 10% and learn to listen to your body for complaints.

I had recently purchased Merrell trail shoes but to aid me in my road runs and practices for marathon, I wish to buy this Merrell barefoot glove to help me with my strike.

When you choose to become a serious runner, you practically follow a training program. And normally, this includes hill runs.

If you are lucky, you can explore your area for some trails that provide opportunity for hill training.

So, when you go for a long and comfortable trail run, make sure that you have following trail run clothing essentials:

fast - wicking apparel for a cooler feeling;
arm sleeves if you wear tee top;
dry - fit cap;
running sunglasses;
utility belt with your water bottles and energy bars / gels or a hydra pack;

There are ways to keep these running essentials in better shape, so, go for maintenance kit that may be available commercially like how we do with our leather apparel using a leather repair kits.

Remember though that trail run can be fun but your safety may be at risk, so, remember to buzz your family if you go for a trail run. Run with your cellphone or if this is not possible, at least, run with buddies.

My younger sibling is expecting a baby and while marriage is still a remote idea, they consider having their own place first for a start.

So, the search for an ideal house within their means is on and finding it in a highly urban area can be finding a needle in a haystack.

Their selection criteria include:budget - wise;

space for the baby and guests;
well furnished including cost - effective wall light fixtures;
accessibility to major establishments like market, church, mall, and office;
safety;
garage;

We can only wish my sibling well and we hope that they can a find a new home before the baby comes out.

Home Remedies for Hair Dryness

It is summer time and while we dip in clear beach waters to cool us off, we wish that our hair can be of moisture - lock too.

Hair dryness is attributed to various reasons and as follows:

harsh chemicals from hair treatment;
shampooing frequently;
chlorine from swimming pool;
sun and wind exposure;
high - temperature blow drier;
nutrition deficiency;
prolonged illness;
medicines like antibiotics;

So, anyone can have a bad hair day, but, we can remedy this from staying off from what seems to be obvious and to taking prevention or correction home remedies like the following:

Drink plenty of water at least 8 glasses a day;
Mix 2 eggs with 1 teaspoon of lemon juice and olive oil. Apply this mixture on hair and scalp. Gently massage your scalp and leave this treatment for 1.5 hours, then, rinse well with water.
Mix equal parts of aloe vera juice and curd and leave this on the hair and scalp for an hour. Do this twice a week.
Heat 1/2 cup of mayo up until it becomes oily. Apply this on your hair. Leave this for at least 15 minutes covered in plastic cap. Rinse well.
Apply any of jojoba oil, coconut oil or olive oil before bedtime. Wrap your hair and rinse the following day with a mild shampoo.

I finally brought my son to his dad's hometown for a long summer vacation. And, to make his stay worthwhile and fun, we decided to enroll him in a swimming program come May 2012. It follows then that we have to buy him some good pair of swimming goggles and quality trunks.

So, before I leave him behind, I have to buy his needed stuffs and pack our kitchen cupboard and refrigerator his diet food, some eggs on egg crate mattress pad and alike.

We had however, harder time finding the right swimming trunk for him because of his overweight size. We don't want to restrict his movement with a badly chosen trunks.

Hey hardcore GRC Trail runners, since I recently “ripped” my shorts this topic is very timely -
“Should I wear Short shorts or long shorts?”

There are 3 things to consider here: Functionality, fashion and finances. When I started running I simply wore long cotton ones the kind you can buy at “3 for P100”. They reached up to my knees and had no moisture-wicking capability whatsoever. Sure I didn’t look cool, but who cares? All I wanted to do was run. Once you decide and can afford to buy real running shorts, you can choose from a wide variety of designs and lengths.

Some experts give their advice:

Cebu-based Physician, Internist & PT:

“Split shorts do not limit range of motion at the hips and are therefore more appropriate when stretching, doing strides or track workouts. However, regular running shorts may be more appropriate when doing LSD runs (Long Slow Distance) or easy runs along city streets”

PT & MD in PE:

“ Wear short shorts. You’re a runner- not a basketball player of hip-hop artist”

Marketing:

“Split shorts are much better than long shorts because they don’t obstruct the movement of your hips and knees”
