I’ve been reviewing how we communicate with all our supporters and decided to try out something a bit new. We’ve been running this website for some time now but are aware that not many people visit it regularly. Why? Because you’ve no idea when its been updated and probably get fed up logging on to find nothing’s changed. So wouldn’t it be great if we told you when there was something new worth visiting the site for? Well the good people who keep our mailing list have sorted that all out and the great news is that people already on the list don’t have to do a thing!

Xanthe’s Fun Run

Xanthe Steer is organising a 5 km Fun-Run to raise money for Links-India in Richmond Park on the 14th June.
To date she has about 20 friends ready to take part but a few more would be very welcome.

Louisa completes 5km

On what may turn out to be the only hot day in 2009 Louisa Sington womanfully strode out across the green, green grass of Regent’s Park to complete the 5km fun run event

Massive thanks to Louisa for doing this all on her own after sicknesss and diary clashes wiped out the rest of Team Links-India!

Santa Run

Okay I know I’m going to get stick for this - I mean April is a tad early for Christmas but this is going to be a really great event and I need to book places early!

Hundreds of Santas running through Greenwich park raising money for their favourite charity and YOU could be one of them. Don’t fancy yourself as Santa? No problem then bring along your own costume and unleash the inner elf, pixie or reindeer.

We’re currently trying to decide whether to book 25 or 50 places and we need to decide very soon. The maximum number of runners will be 1,000 (for all the charities) and places are filling up already.

If you’re interested (or know someone who might be) do let me know. There’s no commitment at this stage I’m just trying to gauge the level of interest.

And I promise not to mention Christmas again till at least September

The very wonderful Kathy Caley will be running the London Marathon to raise funds for Links-India.

Paris Marathon - Sunday 5th April

On July 5th I will be abseiling from the top of Guy’s Hospital Tower in order to raise much-needed funds for our work. Please take a few minutes to sponsor me. Even small donations will really help.

We are also looking for a few more abseilers. This is a once in a life-time opportunity as it is the very last year that Guy’s Hospital will allow charities to use their tower. Interested?
