I have been so busy lately with work, family, friends and household chores. There were times when I thought of just giving up my first love, blogging, because of the negligence I make but here I am, keeps on coming back again and again. I think it's not that easy to let go of something that has been with me for almost six years, the thing that accompany me all through out my journey here in the USA. My one and only listener that never fails to complain, instead gives me a comfort.

On the other note, please visit printingamerica dot com if you want to promote your business through postcard printing online. She'll be in kindergarten come school year 2013. Registration took place yesterday morning. Indeed, it was a successful one. I get to learn some ideas on what's going to up to once school kicks off.

Anyway, as I was driving on the way home, she mentioned about her activities as well as the things she wants to do on that day til the next. Mind you that her next is more like a future for us adults. She wants to go to dancing school to learn ballet. Another thing is music school because of wanting to get hold of a keyboard or a piano. Things she sees on TV, those are pretty simple for her to say and ask without knowing how much it would cost me and her dad. For me, I believe engaging into those activities would benefit her more especially when she's grown up. Maybe not only she'd be performing ballet in a huge event but play the piano and other musical instruments as well such as the classic simmons sdxpress which I haven't seen in my life.

Gluten-free products from Goldbaums

Seriously, I had no idea about gluten and it's side effects and risks for allergic consumers. Working in a retail store has fed me a bit of information. And lately, I happen to taste some gluten-free, 0 trans fat, wheat free, no MSG, no artificial and no cholesterol products. My big time thanks to the samples sent by GOLDBAUMS.

When I received the products, I immediately tried the Pop Potato Chips. I was thinking of an unpleasant taste but I was so wrong on pre-misjudging the product. It turned out to be so good that even the husband consumed the whole bag, the biggest amongst the three I got, in just a matter of time.

Chips didn't really attract my lil one. The box of sugar-free cones was grabbed by her and asked for ice cream. Since I never stock ice cream and other sweets in my house, she waited til weekend before she could get a fair share of her favorite ice cream and this time in a cone. To tell you the truth, the sugar-free cones are really good. I never care for ice cream that time and just munched on the cones. You should see how the lil one reacted when she saw me eating more of the cones. She grabbed the box right away and hid it in the pantry. Oh, poor lil girl! Sorry, Mom had to have some.

On the other note, I have not yet to try the chow mein noodles as well as the crotons. Been so busy lately and cooking is the least of my priorities. Once everything settles down, I'll be updating you guys. I have a feeling that I am going to fall in love with the noodles since it's one of my favorites.

Anyway, please do visit the website for more products. There is an ongoing promo right now. Just refer five (5) friends to the site to be entered to a special drawing and receive a $250 gift card.

DISCLAIMER : this is an honest non-paid product review. All opinions are mine.
It is Holy Wednesday here in the USA. I feel so naked, so ashamed of myself because I just realized that it's already Holy Week and I have not been to church for quite a while. I have given a favored life, a vehicle to get to church in just five minutes but then I am not able to do so, instead, go to shopping centers distancing around twenty minutes to drive. So greedy of fun and forgot to feed my soul.

My only wish for now is to be in the Philippines where most Filipinos celebrate it heartily and where church-going is contagious. Maybe if I didn't leave my home country I would still be active in church. Maybe I am a regular volunteer and all. Of course, I say it because of remorse.

I am married to a non-Church believer. He thinks that going to Church won't save him from sins because Church leaders, themselves, are sinners as well committing abuse and other prohibited actions. The husband and I sometimes get in a debate about the existence of God. He believes in Science and I believe in both, Science and God. Surprisingly we are still together. Open-minded, that's the kind of person I am. I do respect each religion or belief. One thing I dislike is that being pushed of not believing the Holy Father. Since I am a very reciprocal person, there, a bomb explodes. Chaos it is! Leave me alone with my belief as I do to yours. We're gonna have a long road to take.

And hey, never talk to me about the bible as well. I have studied the bible in college. Four years of Religious Education subjects are certainly enough for me. I dealt with pages of the bible to read on for quizzes, reports and exams. There were topics that I loved the most (depending on the teachers) . At the end, I still am happy to have the Bible touched my young life.

It is such not a Holy Week for me. Seems like it's just a normal routine actually. Nothing so holSpecial. I am off today and tomorrow. As usual, do my rounds like cleaning, spending time with the lil one and deal with my product reviews on queue since last week. I have piled em up already. Some need to done ASAP.

Splendid weekend

Happy Monday everyone! How was your weekend?

Well I was off last night. Being that, I stayed up late yesterday instead of slumbering just to spend time with my family. We went watch a movie, visited my in-laws and ate at one of our favorite restaurants. Indeed, it was a well-worth Family Day for the three of us. The lil one enjoyed the Croods as well as playing with her cousin at the in-laws'. It so happened that the kid is staying with his paternal grandfather for the meantime and my in-laws' house is just a walking distance to his, the lil one's cousin just crossed the road by himself with both grandparents watching him in both ends. Kids love it when they're at their Maw (granny) because they get to play all they want both outdoor and indoor. When they get tired of toys, the kids turned on their own tables to read e-books as well as listen to the free audiobook downloads. Of course, it was great seeing everybody. It's been a couple of weeks since I chatted with them.

Music Monday : We belong

Wow, the week just passed by so quick! It's Monday again and it's Music Monday!

Today, I chose Toni Gonzaga's We Belong. The singer is infamous of her singing prowess, humorous hosting stint and comic films in the Philippines, my homecountry.

I created a video with me singing and the lil one when she was still a year old. How time flies! Just reminiscing that moment when she can utter a few words only.
For me, I gain more confidence in meeting people as well as building a bigger league. Not only that, I get to learn ideas on what theme I am gonna be having on my next party hosting.

Last week, I attended a kiddy party along with the lil one. It's my friend's one and only granddaughter's birthday and to my expectation, it was humongous. I have never been in that kind of party and take note, a two-year-old's party. It seemed like it was my friend's birthday because majority of the guests are adults. I could count the number of kids in my bare hands. And since it was themed carnival, there were decorations outdoor with a huge popcorn machine maker as well as hotdog heater. A small carousel enchanted the lil kids, too.

Upon seeing that, I knew right there and then how I am going to entertain the lil one's guests on her birthday in July. And since I can't afford a huge popcorn machine maker, I'll just make use of my own stove top whirley pop popcorn maker, pack it in a popcorn bag and wala! Also, I'll pack some goodies with candies with chocolates and toys. The kids (guests) will surely enjoy the lil stuff for them.

Hopefully, all my plans for my lil girl's 5th birthday celebration push through. I have four months to prepare and like I can start buying lil stuff until everything is completed before her special day.

And oh, thanks to my friend for inviting me over, I learned!

Bring back Rave in Baton Rouge, AMC!

So we went to the movie theater last Sunday as part of our Family Day-Sunday. Usually, we let the lil one pick what she wants to do on her special day of the week. It is the only day that all of us are together on a weekend since I started working graveyard shift.

Well, I am not gonna talk or review about the movie that we watched, instead, the new system the theater is currently have. Let me start with the outdoor signage of the theater that still has the "RAVE MOTION PICTURE" signage. Basically, it is misleading the movie-goers when what's goin on in the inside is far off different from the outside.

Tickets. My forehead crinkled when I heard that the tickets cost my husband $30. It used to be just $21 for the three of us. Alright, the husband was right when he said a lot of changes happened the last time he brought the lil one to the theater without me. That was just two weeks ago before that Sunday. My fault for I slept the whole day rather than spending the day with them. Can't blame myself as well because I worked the whole night. My body is so used to slumbering during the day.

As we get to the concession counter, I noticed changes again. The menu has changed it's variations as well as the free cheese powder for popcorn. I was a kid that time, ecstatic about the huge bucket of popcorn with butter and aaaaaalot of cheese powder in it. The used to be bucket or large size of popcorn is no longer available. Instead, the newest large popcorn is used to be the just the medium size. Take note of the same price value. What a huge difference, indeed! The good thing about it is that its refillable (the only thing that isn't change since).

I am very much of an OCD or the husband calls me as germaphobic at times. Again, nothin's to be blamed, it's just my mind thinking of these germs in my skin. Though, nobody gets sick of it as what my husband always tells me. Anyway, the theater's restrooms are big time mess. It seemed it hasn't been cleaned for a week. Goodness, I smelled it from afar. The husband who normally is not bothered with smell said something about it, too, as it lingered all the way out.

RAVE MOTION PICTURES in Baton Rouge is under new management/owner as one of the associates said when I asked what's goin on. It is I no longer Rave as what the signage says but it is the new AMC theater. I am not certain about owenership/management but I am pretty sure I am disliking the new system!

Well, AMC management, I believe you should retain Rave's system. Yours is not awing us movie-goers!

Ecstatic on watching baseball

We have so much plan on the coming Spring season. One is watching ballgames. Baseball games have started already. Sooner or later we will be watching a game or more with the lil one when the weather starts to settle down. Right now is not the best idea to seat on the aluminum bench and cheer for our chosen team because of the very low temperature. The friendship began around two years ago when both met at a party. From then on, there affection blossomed.

When one has something new, expect a request to get one more for the other. So cute of the give and share thing they have. A week won't pass by without a beg to see one another. Talking on the phone is just one of the many ways to communicate when moms can't find time for their playdate.

The closeness is proven for so many times. Both are behind each other's back. They never leave or ignore one another when a new kid wants to play with them, instead, the chew him/her away. Such a cold-blooded act but I am admiring them for that.

I wish that we, adults, are like them, too. Just pure friendship without hatred that rooted from jealousy.
A very common quote that no matter how many times we did it, we still do it anyway and over and over again especially during or a day after payday.

I am one of the many shoppers who can't resist great deals. Like if I see an item goes on sale or clearance, I'd go for it. Missing that chance would keep me up thinking and blaming myself for not grabbing that last chance. Alright, I am so bad with that habit that I got to change somehow. The question is...when! I guess it's arduous especially when I look forward to shopping day after working hard in graveyard shift. Shopping is a stress reliever according to research. It makes sense!

Shopping is fun either online or in-stores. What makes it is that the great deals we get such as clearance items, discounts through coupon codes and free shipping. The merrier the pockets can be if coupons are used. Talking about how much savings we get. Thence, I am not keeping a secret anymore. I just purchased some clothes online. I could have spent almost two hundred bucks but the Coupon Chief coupon codes saved me a dazzling $50 for my purchase of over $200. What a great deal I had. I can't be happy with that. Thanks to Coupon Chief!

If you guys love J.Jill, go to the website right away to avail the chance. Remember to get the jjill coupon codes beforehand for a much more fun shopping and savings. Free shipping is offered, too. Find out how on the link I just gave above.

Not all shoppers, know about coupons. Everytime I hear somebody in the store complaining about high prices, I make it a point to share. Thus, I highly suggest to search for coupon codes before making a purchase.

the making of suman

Suman - Ibos (Visayan) or suman (Tagalog) is basically malagkit (sticky rice) wrapped in either banana leaves or coconut leaves. - wiki

Suman-making kept me up for more than twenty-four hours last night. Supposedly, I should be sleeping after an overnight work but since Sunday is our Family day, I stayed up. Before we left the house to celebrate our Sunday routine, I already soaked the sweet rice. When we came back in late in the afternoon, I had no choice but to deal with. Despite of my aching muscles not to mention I was so ready for bedtime, I still made it anyway. It took me five hours to finish it. So far, it came out good.

By the way, I got the recipe online but didn't really copy it all. I just needed the measurements of how much coconut milk to use for sweet rice. The rest I did myself. I am thankful for my Mamang (May her soul rest in peace) for teaching me how when I was still a kid. It's a two-way street, I am glad I pay attention to her secrets.

One good tip I can leave you is that, use pure coconut milk when cooking the sweet rice as well as when boiling after wrapping. That is one of the secrets to achieve the tastiest suman.

So cold that makes me just wanna cuddle with the lil one in couce while watching her favorite movies. Household chores were done last night while waiting for my suman to be cooked. I boiled it for over two hours. While waiting, I did the dishes as well as mopped the floors. So far, toys are scattered all over the living room floor which happened this morning when the tornado girl rose up. Later tonight, the lil one will pick it up before she goes to bed. It's her nightly routine, so I am not worried about it. Hopefully, I would come home tomorrow morning from work in a tidy house.

Anyway, before I bid goodbye for my first post today, may I ask you to visit eoncode.com for the workflow management software that they offer. If you don't mind, please spread the link as well. I would be of so much awe if you do.

Wishing it'll come true!

As of 2:10PM, the weather forecast remains the same. I took the photo more or less four hours ago.

It's been four years since it snowed in my area. Thus, I am ecstatic for it to fall tonight if the forecast is right.

When I told the lil one about it, she was closing her eyes while wishing or asking Papa Jesus to shower us snow. She uttered her snow activities like making a snowman and snow angel. Even throwing snow balls was in her young mind.

Yes, there is a thirty percent possibility of snow, seventy percent is not. According to the article, it's snowing in the other parts of Louisiana but not the South.

CNC tube bending service

It's forty-five minutes past four in the morning. Here I am tweaking on something new which I can't reveal as of now. The thunderstorm in my tummy (wink)as well as the real thunderstorm woke me up. It was too loud that it even woke the lil one up. I never heard my tummy growl for the longest time. Growling it is because I am back to my after five in the afternoon diet. It's been a lil hard as I just started a week ago.

This photo was shared by a friend on Facebook. First glanced, I thought it's just one amongst the many non-sense photos that is not worth my reading. But when I saw the title, it immediately got my attention, so, I downloaded the file and had it enlarged just so I could read the article.

The time I spent was worth it. Indeed, the article is worth reading. I am so proud and inspired of what the writer's mom, a fellow Filipina, did just to raise her very own daughter . She was born and raised from a very poor parents in a town in the Philippines. To escape the life, she married a man so foreign from her through "mail order bride" with a thought of a better future. Contrary to that, she had a hell life with the man she married. Her love for her kid is immeasurable that she endured all the agonies of life. A survivor I call her.

This article is saved on my desktop. It gives me an inspiration. My life is different from hers. I have me a great man and a better life, need not for me to work harder to pay bills. The writer's mom is an inspiration for me to be a better mom to my daughter.

Thanks Gianna Driver for sharing such an inpirational story. To your mom, Ms Emily Rosenbaum, I am deeply honored to be a Filipino and a mom. Your life story is every mom's story.

Heat touch gloves

I love hate winter! Love it in the sense that I get to wear my boots and coats. Show the fashionista side of me.

Somehow I hate winter because it is way too cold. Layers of clothes are seem not enough to prevent myself from freezing. What made it worse is that when the gust of wind is stronger. And, I work in the coldest hours of the day.

Well, contrary to my husband, he loves this season. For him, he'd rather bundle himself than cutting grass in the summer time. Lucky him because his friend gave him a pair Sierus Heat Touch Gloves last Christmas. Besides him loving winter, he has gloves to warm himself quicker.

Photo is not mine. Got it from the website that sells the item.

Carrera tag heuer

Please read on for the amazing deals on authentic designer watches and jewelries. Blame it to the rain! Third day of downpour, not only that, it's going to last til weekend. Just imagine that. Grrr! So annoying to think that I will be stuck in the house on my days off. That would mean no outdoor activities for the lil one. She'd been waiting and looking forward to my days off that she could play with her friends, ride her bicycle that Santa gave her, pick clovers. go to the the playland in the mall and many more. The thing is she is coop in the house for the last couple of days because of the bad weather. I feel sorry for her.

Every drop of rain is a blessing but not if it has been raining for several days non-stop. I feel for those who are in the low lands, actually. I bet it's been flooding and there's nothing that the residents can do but to deal with it. I have a friend who is in that level of situation. She said the water gets up to three feet. I wondered how she deals with it every rainy season when she told me about it yesterday during lunch break at work. Didn't have the heart to ask more about it.

On the other note, I will be a somehow busy with my writing tasks as well. I only have five assignments to complete but it's going to take me long to be on my notebook because of net surfing. See, Valentine's Day is next month. I got to have a lil red dress for the party. Shoes have been purchased and it arrived earlier than expected. Hmn...accessories will come next to my list as soon as I found a dress. Another thing is facebooking. Gosh! I just can't resist to open the page. It's like a calling Hahahaha.

Anyway pals, have a pleasant day to ya'll. Starting one task will come follow. I am the only one awake right now since I slept the whole days yesterday. Again, blame it to the rain. Of course, only a small percentage of such would come out the best and becomes best seller. It can't be denied that smartphones are on the very top of the list just because it a need as well as a show-off kind of thing. Consumers splurge much on phones. We, consumers, including me, also splurge not only on smartphones but on various gadgets or other electronic devices as well. For me, I got to have the best or at least the better webcam just because I use it a lot on recordings and creating videos.
