Drag and Drop Labels for Gmail

A new way to introduce the new features for Gmail. While opening the mail box this morning I get this popup window. Gmail’s labeling toolkit now have a new location and hiding label. Added also the drag and drop options. Let’s have a closer look:

1) New location for labels
You’ll notice your labels in a new location on the left of your inbox (or on the right, for those of you using the Arabic, Hebrew, or Urdu versions of Gmail). Instead of having their own section, your labels are now above your chat list, grouped together with Inbox, Drafts, Chats and other system labels.

As a Java programmer I’m glad to inform that Eclipse Galileo is now available for download and upgrade. A big day for all OOP peoples. For the sixth year in a row, the Eclipse community has delivered its annual release train on its scheduled date. Galileo, the 2009 release train, is the largest ever release from the Eclipse community, comprising 33 projects and over 24 million lines of code. Over 380 committers from 44 different organizations participated to make this release possible.

How to change Google AdSense Font Size

AdSense default font size today will be Larger as announced by AdSense staff. But if your ads is currently set to ’small’. You can select a new font size on an account-wide basis in the Ad Display Preference section of your My Account tab, or on an individual ad unit basis for new and existing ad units.

Turn off the system beep on Ubuntu Linux

If you make/type something wrong, the PC always emits a typical system beep. Unfortunately some times, this noise is very annoying and not always desired.

This problem can be solved with just a short command from Terminal Window:

Turn beep OFF:

rmmod pcspkr

Creative High Speed Photography Collection

High Speed Photography is the science of taking pictures of very fast phenomena. In 1948, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE) defined high-speed photography as any set of photographs captured by a camera capable of 128 frames per second or greater, and of at least three consecutive frames. High speed photography can be considered to be the opposite of time-lapse photography.

In common usage, high speed photography may refer to either or both of the following meanings. The first is that the photograph itself may be taken in a way as to appear to freeze the motion, especially to reduce motion blur. The second is that a series of photographs may be taken at a high sampling frequency or frame rate. The first requires a sensor with good sensitivity and either a very good shuttering system or a very fast strobe light. The second requires some means of capturing successive frames, either with a mechanical device or by moving data off electronic sensors very quickly.

Other considerations for high-speed photographers are record length, reciprocity breakdown, and spatial resolution.
