NZ Painting & Printmaking Award

Just found out that my painting ‘China Dream’ has been selected as a finalist in the 2015 New Zealand Painting and Printmaking Award – super excited!

Judge Dr Anne Kirker selected 50 works out of 370 entries. The exhibition opening night is the 13th February in Hamilton. Congratulations to the other finalists.

Hard to believe I shall be winging my way back to Singapore tomorrow on one of these beautiful A380 double-decker planes.

A big thanks to Instinc Gallery for inviting me back and funding my time in Singapore and also to the Asia New Zealand Foundation for funding my travel expenses.

I am excited to have been selected to be a part of InsTinc Galleries Great Collaboration Project – this is to celebrate the galleries 10th Anniversary. I am looking forward to meeting the other international artists involved. The collaboration starts this Friday with the random pairing of artists. We have a full-on schedule of creating and exhibiting, and I’ll keep you posted as things happen . . .

Thanks to everyone that came to my opening on Saturday at Icon White Gallery within the Icon Gallery & Sculpture Park complex, it was a great afternoon! The exhibition is on until the 26th November, so pop in and take a look. 1280 Upper Moutere Highway, 10am to 5pm Tuesday – Sunday.
