Osmotic’s Best of Beauty Bag

If you want an awesome bag with a ton of great products, then Osmotic’s Best of Beauty Bag is just for you. First, you get an awesome bag. It is large enough to hold the products that come with it and all my makeup! It’s trendy looking and nobody will know what’s really in there! The bag also comes with some of Osmotic’s best products out on the market. It contains their Hydrating Cleanser (0.5 oz.), Renovage™ Cellular Longevity Serum (0.5 oz.), Blue Copper 5 Firming Elasticity Repair (1 oz.), Blue Copper 5 Lip & Tuck (0.07 oz.), Anti-Radical Age Defense (1 oz.) and Age Prevention Protection Extreme SPF 40 (2.5 oz.). I have to admit my two favorite products has to be the Hydrating Cleanser (which works great on my dry skin) and the Blue Copper 5 Lip & Tuck. I have a bad habit of chewing on my lips when they are dry and the lip & tuck makes sure that doesn’t happen!

I’ve used quite a few of the Osmotic’s line, and they are a high quality product that I can highly recommend. Osmotic’s is not carrying this awesome bag on their site. Summer Bridge Activities Review and Giveaway

Are your kids driving you nuts yet? It’s July 1st, and Madison has been out of school for 2 months already though I realize that regular school has only been out a month. One of the biggest struggles in the summer time is that our kids get bored. That is where the Summer Bridge Activities comes in! These books have a ton of activities that are both fun and educational. We’ve been able to work on reading, writing, math, and language already, and Madison is only starting kindergarden in the fall. We’ve especially noticed with her that if we don’t continue working on her skills that she forgets them. This wonderful activity book keeps her attention and keeps her skills. We’ve worked on making our letters, coloring pictures, counting — just to name a few things. Also, make sure you check out the bonus section! I love that when you complete the book that there is a certificate for your child. The activities are very age appropriate. Now, we worked on the P-K book. However, you can get these for all grades. It is a great way for your kids to have fun and learn!

Lands End Swimsuits Review and Giveaway

Now that we are hitting the hundreds in Chicago, it is time to get our swimsuits. If you are like me, it is a scary time. I normally hate shopping for swimsuits. I bought my last swimsuit before Madison was born (and she’ll be 6 in January). It’s a two piece and I hate it. However, Lands End made it easy for me this year. It wasn’t a horrible experience, and I can say I will order from Lands End again.

This is the first time I have not tried on a suit before I got it. I used Lands End sizing guide, measured myself, and I ordered it. I am amazed how it fits! Lands’ End wants to make sure women of all body types feel fabulous in their swimsuits, and they definitely did that! My new suit (see picture above — Madison took it for me, so I’m sorry she didn’t get more of it in it) makes me look better. I am not thin (as you can see ), and the suit definitely compliments me. The suit fits well and actually does make me feel better about myself. If you have problem areas, you definitely need to watch this video:

If you check out their channel on YouTube, you can really figure out what suit you should be looking at for your problem areas. I know we all think we have problem areas, so these are truly helpful.

Potty Tots Potty Training Program Review and Giveaway

Will just turned two, so we have to start looking into potty training again. What we learned with Madison is that they don’t do it till they are darn good and ready. However, as we did with her, we want to have all of the tools available to us when he is ready. We’ve had his potty chair out for 6 months now. At this point, he still thinks he’s suppose to stand in it.

That’s why I was excited to check the Potty Tots Training Program. There are just so many things I like about this program. This video explains the program:

This program comes with everything you need to help get potty training started in your home and has so many different ways for them to learn. The kit you get consists of a story book, animated DVD with bonus music videos, illustrated potty chart and a “Toilet Bowl” game/progress chart with clings to keep track of success with potty training. We’ve watched the video with Will and read the book several times. He relates to the characters and does like them (we get a lot of “what’s that” questions). On the video, they have their own little rock video about going potty (which is beyond cute). This is definitely a great way to get your children interested in potty training, and I wish I knew about this when Madison was potty training. You can also order a girl kit or a boy kit, and it truly does include almost everything you need for potty training!

Little Tikes Dive, Chip, & Putt Golf Trainer

My husband is a golfer, and my kids are wanting to learn to golf too. However, I am not about to give them real golf clubs. That’s where the Little Tikes Dive, Chip, & Putt Golf Trainer comes in. With this handy toy, the kids can play golf in the yard with the Bill (my husband). Madison and Will love this. It comes with several clubs, so there is no fighting. There is the ball that is attached (which makes it so you aren’t running after golf balls) and some loose ones too (which is so awesome for me. I love that I can have both kids playing with this at the same time). The flag on the top can be taken off and used to mark a hole for them to aim towards too.

This is one of those toys that you don’t have to show the kids what to do. They just know. It is also a huge hit in my house, and I can only recommend that you get one for your house!

The Nurse’s Guide to Good Living

If you are a nurse, the Scrubs magazine online is a must read. There is a ton of great information on this site for nurses (and to be honest, I found a lot of great information for me too and I’m not a nurse). You can read about summer fashion (both in and out of the doctor’s office), makeup, beauty, and how to look younger (I love the advice about not wanting to look like a billy goat myself). There is even some great tips if you are an evening nurse! It’s not all about work either here. There are a lot of great articles about money, news, entertainment, etc. There is truly something for everyone here. You can vote up your favorite articles too and take polls on what you opinion is on different issues too. I also enjoyed the Privacy Do and Dont’s. Having working in a doctor’s office in the past, we often times need to be reminded what we should and shouldn’t say about our patients.

If you are a nurse, I check out Scrubs and let me know what you think. There is a ton of information for every facet of your life here, and I think that most nurses would enjoy it.

I am all about saving time. I really am. With two kids underfoot, there is never enough time in the day. Bill and I have been talking about remodeling our kitchen for some time now (granted, it won’t happen till at least next year when we can save up enough cash to do it). When we remodel, I want all new stuff in there (who wouldn’t). I came across Lumens where I can get everything from lighting to Alessi accessories.
