This is a Consumer Alert. I Take Your Livelihood very seriously, and I know what your money means to you.

You may or may not know but “backlinks” are what tell Google that your site is a popular site on the Internet, and allows you to get high rankings for sites you promote.

Backlinks are like other sites referring to your site. Kind of like recommendations, from a friend. The more sites that recommend your site, the better.

More “Reputable sites” like Youtube, Facebook, CNN.com, etc – that recommend your site, count for more- that’s called PR (Page Rank), Much like a very reputable friend recommending a good restaurant to you…

Without going into a million details, let me tell you that Backlinks are what you want when you want to get your sites to the top of Google…

OK that being said, we of course wanted more backlinks for some of our sites, to get to the top in Google for various terms…

So, when I saw a service called “MONSTER CLICKS” http://backlinks.monsterclicks.com/ -  I naturally wanted to check it out.

(Hint: Everything You Read on the “Warrior Forum” is NOT Accurate or In Your Best Interest…)

It promised for around $70 a month, 3,000 backlinks, which is quite a lot of backlinks, and would be weeks of solid work normally.

So we tested it out in a controlled test.

Here are the Results and I Am Advising You Strongly To AVOID this site and paying for this thing… :

• The Sites its posting your link to are mostly in Poland, Russia, Germany, and they ARE NOT RELEVANT To Internet Marketing or any common Niche…

• This Causes Google to PUNISH YOU- In fact it DERANKED OUR SITE- (It was number 15 for a competitive term, now it is totally deranked for that term)

• Most of the Sites Its Posting Your Link To, Are PR Zero *So Basically Worthless…
  

• It can UNDO Work You’ve Done on SEO and the Like – Thankfully I knew just to use it on One Keyword and One Site As  a Test




• We Spent $140 over two months for the service, plus staff time to test It…

SO LONG STORY SHORT- AVOID THIS SERVICE. IT IS COUNTERPRODUCTIVE AND WILL COST YOU MONEY, WITH NEGATIVE RESULTS…

This message may rub some people the wrong way at first… and that’s a Great thing. I don’t really mind as long as it helps a lot of people… At the end of the day, my responsibility is not to impress you, but to help…

Impressing you is not going to help you, speaking the truth in love will…

We’ve been sleeping in passivity and we need to wake up!!

Firstly, I get angry as you may too, at all the selfishness in the world, and all the “taking” mentality. Even walking down the street, you see way more frowns than smiles. That’s a choice we all make to acknowledge people with kindness, or just look inward…. I don’t necessarily think it’s their fault all the time, we are conditioned in our society to glorify self. But, for business and a joyful life that doesn’t really work. That’s the same choice you have to make now for your life and your business…

A smile costs nothing, or a word of encouragement. Then there’s the way we’re conditioned and the choice we sometimes make- out of laziness and fear- to want something for free, instant gratification, and that feeling of “getting over on someone.”  I know we don’t mean to do it but sometimes we forget to have gratitude and look to rise above all of that…

Do you know what kinds of seeds self-focused people are planting? They are in store for a terrible harvest, where even their little that they do have will be taken from them. Please don’t be like that, know that I say this out of love and I really want to see you get where you want to go… Focus on what you can do for others…

If you want something of value, You must put in the effort, and build it through helping others. That’s the ONLY way your business will work for you (no a seminar or google tool won’t replace that sorry- it’s about who YOU are and who you CHOOSE to be). If you chase after money, you will just chase your tail—

If you chase after helping, building something great, and solving OTHERS problems, you will have people inundating you – ready to work with you, trusting you, and gladly paying for your guidance…

And guess what – your problems start to get solved WAY quicker than the days when your favorite motto was “but, what about me!?”.

You say you want to be a business person- OK – so is your mind focused on what you can GIVE to the marketplace to help people, or is it 90% focused on your last VISA bill?

O.K., You May Be Saying – “Yes, Damian – Easy for you to say.. You’ve Got It Pretty Good !!!”

But, is that Really accurate? What came first, the attitude or the result…?

Let’s take a look! Did I have this attitude first or the success first then the attitude? If you said success first then I cheered up and started helping others, sorry to disappoint but…

• Do you know how many days I logged onto my bank account and saw a negative balance?

• Do you know when the online banking balance is in red type, that’s not good!

• Do you know how it feels to go to the grocery store and have to look at the bottom of the shelf to find the cheapest cheese, and still hope the card goes through?!

• Do you know how it feels to have to say no to just going to Starbucks with your friend, because you can’t afford it and being too embarrassed to say why!? I DO.

But do you also know what I told myself throughout all that?

“I will NOT allow myself to get agitated, disturbed, and offended” I WILL NOT. I WILL FOCUS ON HELPING SOMEONE OR ENCOURAGING SOMEONE TODAY. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY FORWARD, AND I WILL NOT BE MOVED OR SHAKEN.

I WILL NOT BE MOVED!

SAY THAT OUT LOUD RIGHT NOW AND PLANT YOUR FEET FIRMLY!

Right NOW, It’s Decision Time for YOU (*yes you..). Perfect Love Casteth out Fear. That’s the environment we’re building here…. And I’m so grateful you’re rising up and being your best, outward looking self to impact others lives and succeed as a result!

<Personal Update from Damian>

You and I both know how important your family can be (whomever they are in your life), and the other night I confided in you (as my trusted friend) about my grandfather, who went unconscious Friday and was rushed to Intensive Care.

I hadn’t mentioned that his Priest had also rushed to the hospital to give him the last rites, that’s how very serious it was at that point. In fact he was entirely blue, and we really did think that was it.

Here’s what caused it- they accidentally gave him too much cardiac imaging dye which started to flood his lungs. My grandmother was in the room and actually had to run out to get the nurses, then 7 nurses and staff members ran in and wheeled him extremely fast to the other side of the hospital.

His heart was racing at an extreme rate- caused by a reaction to this dye as we found out later- as well as he couldn’t breathe. He had to be shocked with a defribrillator as well as given oxygen…

Did you know when you have circumstances which totally deflate you and make you want to simply curl up and cry- that there is still hope?

Well that’s how I felt on Friday- totally vulnerable, helpless, and extremely sad. I wrote the mail below to reach out and you know what – you really helped me. Why? Well, as I was lying there on the couch with my computer – very sad after already crying and with a major headache- I just kept hitting refresh.Why? So many prayers and comments were coming in!

I just kept reading them. Then the emails started coming- in all 250+ messages so far (nearly 1,000 people opened my first mail and read it, and I’m sure many more were praying too and wishing us well!)…

I believe in the power of prayer and agreement from trusted friends. I know I have a responsibility to help people (as we ALL do), and what I thought at that moment is that- if he does go, the way to honor him is to get serious about helping as many people as possible through the relationship we have- encouragement, guidance, and understanding.

That doesn’t always mean just being soft- it means telling you what works, what you need to do, and standing by you on your journey until you get there- all of us growing together and helping each other…

Well do you know what? He made it through that night. Saturday morning, he was still unconscious , and they decided to try and take him off the ventilator to see if he could breathe. Do you know what? He did! Then everyone was just sitting around in the room and around 1215PM on Saturday, we heard this voice like “what happened?”

We were like – “you’re in the hospital – you’re doing good you’re gonna be ok” – and then we just all started talking. He was really weak having not eaten for 2+ days and just having an IV. But, he actually started joking around a bit in the next hour, then said he was hungry.

Today – they moved him to a normal room!  He still has some procedures on Wed and Thurs, so keep up the prayers and thoughts. But we have him back and that’s something to treasure.

SO…

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU… FOR BRIGHTENING ME UP, FOR SHOWING YOUR CARING, AND FOR YOUR THOUGHTS and PRAYERS, AND TRUSTING ME ENOUGH TO TELL ME ALL OF YOUR OWN STORIES – IT’S BROUGHT US ALL CLOSER TOGETHER -

Do you know what? Just when it looks the darkest – your breakthrough can be literally in your next footstep. So, BELIEVE, and TAKE ACTIONS even if you’re afraid- and remember I’m on your side! :)

FROM FRIDAY 10/16/09

This is just a short message to please pray or send your good wishes to me tonight. Tonight my grandfather went into the Intensive Care Unit with heart and lung problems, and is not concious right now.

He’s in Louisiana tonight, and I may have to jump on the first flight which is tomm evening.

I love him so much and I really hope he makes it. When I was a little boy my parents were divorced, and not there too much. I felt pretty lonely at times.

That’s where my grandparents came in, I was the only grandchild, so it was like my grandparents were my parents or even my best friends – through some pretty tough times. I was with them all the time – they cooked for me, took me to buy clothes, took me to school and church.

Always so kind and wanting the best for me. Lol my grandmother would even give me huge plates of food and say “you didn’t eat anything!” (Being Italian that was important to eat a lot!)

We’re still very close, my grandmother Irene, grandfather Philip and me. My grandfather used to play the Saxophone and I remember when I was little they would go dancing to 50′s music and just loved to have a good time and laugh and joke.

No one is perfect but they are some of the kindest and most giving people you will ever meet. So, please tonight as you go to bed, say a prayer if you can for my grandfather Philip.
