FarCry2 Announced - I’m not nearly as big into gaming as I used to be, but the one game I most recently played completely through was FarCry and I loved every second of it. When Crysis was announced, I thought it was the unofficial FarCry2, I guess not. Thanks Madur!

It’s called Transfz(I know strange name), and what it essentially does, is it allows you to search any search engine by simply highlighting any text that can be highlighted. It works very similar to Firefox’s SearchWith Extension, but can be used in ANY application that you can highlight text with. Here’s a screenshot as an example:

My blogging friend Everton Blair deserved to be in this article, but even though his close to $10k/month in revenue wasn’t enought, you still see a great insight into the type of money some of the biggest, celebrity, humor, political and technology related blogs make. As much as $200k/month is generated from each of these blogs, and it really goes to show how powerful advertising has become once again. I’ve had dreams of making a list like this, but I don’t foresee it anytime soon.

There are several different options when it comes to bootable operating systems. Whether they be virtual Windows, Linux or even MAC OS environments, but most have several different confusing settings, some just don’t work as designed and some just don’t plain work at all. The ones that do work however, work very well, and they can perform many tasks that just can’t be done in the Windows GUI. Emergency Boot CD is just one example, but it get’s you back up and running fast and is the king of simplicity when it comes to any of the following:

- Changing the password of any Windows users, including the Administrator
- Recovering the master boot record
- Performing an Emergency boot for NT, 2000 or XP
- Partitioning
- Recovering files from a formatted drive, an emptied recycle bin, or an unreadable floppy disk

The EBCD is simply the most efficient way to get any of these done. Since it doesn’t boot into a GUI, it boots much faster, the navigation is incredibly simple(once you get the hang of it) and the support from their site is top notch. So, if you’re a system administrator, a desktop support technician or a son/daughter just simply trying to get your Mom to remember her password, Emergency Boot CD is the way to go.

We’ve all heard them, we’ve all dealt with them, we’re all sick of them…automated phone systems. Press 1 for billing, press 2 for service, press 3 to shoot yourself in the head. Nine times out of ten, the operator can do the same task you need with in a matter of seconds and the automated system is only there to annoy people to the point that they hang up and never call back. There’s even the rising popularity of automated voice recognition systems as well, which are even worse. Finally, someone has come up with a simple answer.

It’s far easier to modify posts via code and far easier to display properly across all browsers. Wordpress provides a few quick tags at above the post such as bold, italics, link, b-quote, etc…but yet I still find the need for many more quite often. Including floating images, centering, and customized links such as ‘target=”_blank”‘ for opening links in a separate tab/window. This typically requires one to enter code manually each and every time into the blog, unless you’ve got the latest handy Wordpress plugin I’ve discovered, called: AddQuickTags

As you can see I’ve added additional tags for ‘Floating Images Right, Floating Images Left, Next Page(Multi Page Plugin), Centering, href(link customization for opening links in seperate tab/page), and lightbox 2 which is included with another plugin. Like I said this allows me to quicly and easily add code without the need of manually entering it, each and every time.

A Happy 4th of July to all. Although I think most of the videos on Break.com are complete idiots, they are still entertaining none the less and here are some excellent fireworks displays for all of you to celebrate this great American holiday.
