Officially 20 years old today! Remembered how much I dreaded this day to come in the beginning of the year cause I refuse to grow up. It's stupid, I know. But I still wanna be a kid >< Oh well guess time just passed too fast. There's no time for me to regret so I must cherish every single second and stay happy. It's time to say goodbye to all my negative thoughts about myself too. They'd been dragging me down so often, until I feel like I can never do a thing right. It's annoying, it's making me lost confidence in myself. So it's time to kick them aside and start to set things right again! And this time, I have to make sure I win the war against them!

Happy birthday to me ♥

#foreveralone as usual, but this time, I'll brave myself with a smile. Nothing can go wrong like that!

A lil must-do list for myself:

I think I'd made a new record of not updating my blog. And yes, I AM UPDATING IT NOW. Because I'm back in KL? Maybe!

Started to learn swimming for the sake of my health. I'd been a bit off colour since I study at Mahsa so hopefully it might help me if i don't get drown in the first place.

Our management had been really nosy. They came to check once in a while to make sure we swim with proper swimwear and swimming cap. I guess they're worried that if we cant afford a set of decent swim wear we can't afford paying for the treatment just in case we get drowned. Oh well. So for the sake of the management, I got myself a swimming cap. Guess what?

Erm, I mean it's silicon.

But another problem is now lying over my journey towards the swimming pool.

What if I get drowned? What if I get abducted? WHAT IF A GRINDYLOW ATTACKED ME galloping gargoyles I don freaking have a wand!

Okay for the first post after a thousand years this make me seem out of my mind. It's because I got blown off by your enthusiasm. Thanks for still visiting my blog anyway! I freakin' don't believe I still got 2000+ visitors last month with 0 updates! (or maybe blogger.com's cheating me).

Hey guys! Me and Joey dear had reach Penang safely~ Very tired right now so no, I'm not going to post lots of photos here. And you have to thank god for that as IF I feel like updating my blog now, you all will suffer badly. Why of course! I got lots of food photos here that's why! xD

De-stress (｡◕‿◕｡) with FOOD!

Ended our exams, passed my practical exam (phuhhh thank god! But secretly hope I can do better than that..). It's time to de-stress!

After our theory exam on last Friday, we went to Seo Gung, a Korean restaurant in SS2 for dinner.

Usual bunch, Joey and Jac + Chris.

Very lazy to elaborate so I'll just proceed to food. Hahaha.

The thing I really like about Korean restaurant is they always give you lots of side dishes! And you can refill as you like! But err from so many types of side dishes they serve here I only like the Kimchi and (I think) jellyfish dish.

Errrrrrrr forgot it's name, but it's rice vermicelli stir fried with veges. It's okay to eat it alone but it's not that nice to eat with rice. Too plain.

Ja jang myung. Not bad!

Kimchi jigae. Very nice! Woooo enjoy it so much! And I can eat my rice just with this dish x) It's not as spicy as it looks, but it's really hot and can chase away the chill in you! Perfect for a rainy day like that day. But the picture is so blur. I just cant get a good shot of it dono why =______________=

Ginseng chicken soup. Just normal.

Of course, the must try. BBQ! Woooo but it's my first time eating Korean Bbq actually. Warping it up is fun! But the garlic they provide is in big pieces it's too much for me. It totally covers the taste of the meat (Boooo!) So in the end I warp the meat up with kimchi (refilled side dish hahaha) and onion. Yumss.

Finish the dinner, time to fight for practical exam again (say only lah basically I just sit at home and look blank in space. No mood study I think Joey affected me i become over confident. Booo!)

Finished my practical exam on Monday, but Joey and Jac's exams are on Tuesday. So we're officially free ~~today~~ yesterday!

Went to Petaling Street for our food frenzy again. Just that this time we only stop at the beef noodle shop and taufu fah stall.

Yummehhh still so nice!

P.s. They close on Wednesday! Just telling you to prevent disappointment x)

And spotted 2 shirtless angmos who was dancing by the street while walking barefoot. Wth? Don't ask me why, I got a hard time figuring why also! Here don't look like beach to me. I see no seashore nor sand or seashell. Hmmm and this is no jungle also. Or they thought we're all people from the hutan and try to "do as the Romans do when you are in Rome" wth.

Sunburn look makeup tutorial ♥

This is one very thick skinned post of me attempting to do my very first makeup tutorial. Of course, the creditability is questioned as I seldom do makeup. Only apply BB cream and blusher if I'm going out and wanted to look healthier (My skin tone is yellowish, it makes me look sickly!). Or maybe add up eyeliner if I feel like it.

But one day there's a sound in my head saying: "Maybe you can try doing one makeup tutorial!" Thus that explains why this post is here.

Sunburn look is a very adorable and suitable look for ~~spring and summer~~ sunny days! It gives you a bubbly aura while making you look healthy. If you have fair skin, a more pinkish blusher will let you look mad kawaii while if you're more tanned, use blusher with an orange glow. Smokin' hot!

"No makeup". Actually I applied foundation. Am using ZA 2 way powder. Which can protect your skin from sun and can prevent your face to look oily. Super nais one! (Ignore my hair. Just bathed so the hair's wet and messy. And i tried my best to conceal my legendary-double-layered-eye-bags already!)

Wanna go with a light eye make up. So I applied brown eye shadow within the fold of the eyes. And i smudged the ends up to the crease.

Eyeliner! I'm using Cyber colour gel liner. Draw the inner eye lines =D

Done eyelinessss. I got no idea why this picture is not upright.

Mascara for both upper and lower lashes.

Most important step in the whole sunburn look. Choose orange toned blusher to get the tanned look. Unless you're very fair skinned then pink is fine for you.

I'm using a orangish-red blusher (or should I say coral red?). Brush along the cheekbone and across the nose bridge. Then fill in the apples of the cheek too. I prefer emphasizing the W shape; apple of cheek - nose bridge- apple of cheek. Looks more natural!

I'll go for coral red lips as well! But before that I apply lip concealer to lighten my lips colour. This Za's lipstick is my favourite. Looks really natural and it really can make your lips look fuller and moist x) Color Me Nude concealer from Etude house.

I can't concentrate on my assignment now after hearing the news. Yes, I may not know her. But she's my friends' friend. She studied in the school next to ours. We grow up in the same piece of land. We breath the same air. Isn't that enough? Condolence to her family, and rest in peace my dear. May the culprit be punished as how he should be.

The lost is terrible. A young, beautiful and bubbly girl gone just because someone wanted the pleasure? And upon refusal the only solution he came out was to take away the poor girl's life? Who are you to decide how long she should stay here? She haven seen enough of the world! She just started blossoming, like every single girl out there, wanting to learn more, to shine, and to live life fully. Most importantly, she TRUST you. It's not something 'sorry' can cure. There's no turning back. No matter to her, or to you yourself, there's no turning back. You just terminated her life journey here, and congratulation, you screwed your own life as well.

It's not only to her family and friends, but everyone around her, whether they know her or not. Our town was known to be a very peaceful, lovely town. But this incident ripples across the calm town. Why did this happen? What's wrong with the peoples nowadays? Who are we suppose to trust after this incident?

I personally have a few guy friends I will hang out with. After this incident, my friends ask me to be careful when I go out with guys. I know she's worried. I am too. But I trust my friends, and I rather believe that my instinct won't go wrong like her's did. Sigh. Just pray that things like this will not happen again.

Just to share my current addiction. I just can't stop listening to this song. It's not a new song, but it's very very nice! And Gary really sings well. The song can really make my heart ache. Like a ghost hiding inside me, eating me up bit by bit. Oh no, please don't stop the music.

And this is another one. An 11 years old Chinese little girl sang this song as well. You might think she's too young to actually portray the mixed emotions and loneliness of the song but guess what? You got it wrong. The way she sang it actually can make you tears fall out of heartache.

Part 2 : Of Sea

Went to Port Dickson for the after concert party. Read bout PD when I was still in primary school in the text book and always wanted to go and take a look how it's like. Souuu here I'm, with the bunch of Inti band members, at PD!

The bungalow. Don look at it with that expression will you? It's quite okay, with plenty of rooms and beds! I think I can put more than 40 people inside if they don't mind squeezing!

The place is actually not as nice as it seems in picture (Maybe is just my skill is too good. LOL joking!) The beach is quite dirty, with muddy sea water, occasional floating snack packets and even one fresh water fish (wth is it doing here? It's half dead when it swam past us. Omg made me jump out of my skin again. =_________________=)

But those are still fine, because what made our life colourful is who you're being with!

Went to Putrajaya for the hot air balloon fiesta. Thanks Victor for the ride!

The weather was rather bad. Very cloudy, not good for a noob like me to take decent photos! And there're not much hot air balloons to see too. What a disappointment!

Fuhhhhh~ Settled down in this new place call home! Finally. It wasn't easy though. I think cou Mahsa loves me and don't let me to move out that why they off the lift for almost 2 days. Make me work out sou much running up and down 8 floors =____________= Very nice indeed. Oh well, which hostel won't want a tenant like me? I don hang clothes at the window, don't cook in the room, don't bring guys into my room, don't come home late (1am max! and that was for concert FYI). I'm a perfect tenant!

But too bad I insisted to leave. I guess that's why the lift start working after I officially not staying in Mahsa anymore. Boooooooo bully little girl one! Humph!

I love to have lots of books and novels around me. The small shelf I bought last time is surely too small to fit in my reference book, so it ended up in my room, with all my novels and magazines!

Ah nais! Can do some bed time reading before sleep now x)

And I fixed my very own new study table and new book shelf. Don't state at me like that, I mean I ASSEMBLED my own study table. No joke =D I don't think I need to pay extra RM70 to get them assemble the table and shelf, thus I've to DIY them (Imma stubborn head, I DON'T wanna pay extra thus no matter how tough it'll be, I'll complete it too!). Thanks Jac for helping me figure out how to fix it. Kinda tough, there're like 10 different types of screw and tools inside and so many pieces of planks, really a good workout for my brain.

This is it! The newest puzzle I completed! And it's big enough to accommodate so much stuff of mine. Haha! Just the first day and it's that messy already. Oh well, I'm no neat girl.

Surprising right? I'm a girl who dono how to save my own neck but I can assemble this! All by myself! *clap clap* *Show biceps* LOL

My book shelf. It looks small here =____________= The actual thing is huge and should be standing but as I need more place to put my stuff I let it do the side lying position. LOL.

After all those hard work, it's time to sit down and do some lighter works. I'd save some dried flowers from my prom night bouquet. Pity lily can't stay pretty forever! It just shrivel up when it's dried. I love lily but sigh, I have to bade them goodbye when I move. Did this lil piece of are with the flowers I saved.

It looked rather empty in this view, thus I added on more purple flowers after taking these shots =)

Wheeeeeeeeeee it made my mood sou good x)

Tomorrow's THE DAY! Concert! Argh! And I haven decide whether I wanna go to Port Dickson with the band or hot air balloon fiesta at Putrajaya for the weekend. Dai dai dai! Shall do assignment NAO so no matter which one I choose it won't affect me! I CAN DO IT!

Now THIS IS YOUR CALL! KLpac Symphonic Band's going to have a audition and this is your big fat chance, grab it will you! xD

Date : March 19 (Saturday)
Time : 9am -1pm, 2pm - 5pm
Venue : Indicine, 2nd floor, KLpac

For your information, there are certain criteria you must fulfill before joining our family.

Winds section (Flute, Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet, Alto Clarinet, Bass Clarinet, Alto Saxophone, Tenor Saxophone, Baritone Saxophone, Trumpet, French Horn, Trombone, Bass Trombone, Euphonium and Tuba.)
-You must have own musical instruments.
- Please be prepared to play a major scale within 4# to 4b in an octave
- Please be prepared to play with difference articulation e.g. legato, staccato, accent etc
- A sight-reading piece from Band excerpts will be given to you on the audition day and you will have 1 minute to study the score (without playing)
- Ability to play 2 octaves will be an advantage.
- A solo piece from the candidate is an advantage but is not mandatory

Percussion

- Please be prepared to show single stroke, double stroke and rolling techniques using drumsticks and timpani mallet. A Rhythm pattern with these elements will be given to the candidates.
- For Mallet percussion, you must be able to play a major scale within 4# to 4b in an octave.
- A sight-reading piece from Band excerpts will be given to you on the audition and you will have 3 minutes to study the score (without playing)
- You must have minimum knowledge in handling non-pitching percussion instruments, e.g. crash cymbals, bass drum, triangle etc.
- A solo piece from the candidate is an advantage but NOT mandatory.

True Grit and I am Number Four + Dinner @ The Apartment

Thanks to Tony aka Toninkush, I was able to watch both movies, one during last Wednesday and another one today. Oops I mean yesterday. So here's the short intro for both movies.

True Grit

Synopsis : Following the murder of her father by hired hand Tom Chaney, 14-year-old farm girl Mattie Ross sets out to capture the killer. To aid her, she hires the toughest U.S. marshal she can find, a man with "true grit," Reuben J. "Rooster" Cogburn. Mattie insists on accompanying Cogburn, whose drinking, sloth, and generally reprobate character do not augment her faith in him. Against his wishes, she joins him in his trek into the Indian Nations in search of Chaney. They are joined by Texas Ranger LaBoeuf, who wants Chaney for his own purposes. The unlikely trio find danger and surprises on the journey, and each has his or her "grit" tested. Source from here.

I enjoyed the movie a lot, even thought they're talking with a very heavy slang that I can't understand without the subtitle and the pace of the story is quite slow with a lot of talking. Really love Mattie Ross (Hailee Steinfeld) who play the role of a very stubborn girl that want the murderer of her dad to be punished. She acted real well and convincing and showed true grit (real guts or whatever lah~) and true enough, she got nominated and got some awards for this role in the movie! Wowww! See here!

Rooster Cogburn is really well portrait-ed as well! What a big drunkard and sloppy man. But when it come to fight he's a mean business. He kick asses! Woohoo! Nice movie to watch if you like classic and don't mind the slow pace. Action parts are just nice, not too much, just enough.

I Am Number Four

Based on the children’s novel by Pittacus Lore, I Am Number Four tells the story of John Smith (Alex Pettyfer), a teenage alien refugee from a planet taken over by a vicious alien race called Mogadorians who have killed the planet’s entire population and are now hunting down the stragglers. John, along with his protector Henri (Timothy Olyphant), is forced to stay on the move going from town to town to keep the Mogadorian hit squad off his tail. John is one of nine special alien children who were born with a special gift that makes them the only ones who can defeat the Mogadorians and as the movie opens, Number Three takes a dirt nap. Another typical sci-fi action movie. But I gotta say I'm biased towards alien related and action movie, and this one has to do with both. LOL. Story was okay, No. 3 was dead at the beginning of the movie but this rebellious alien teenager insist on going to school to get himself into trouble. And also fell in love with a human girl (omg this is getting Twilight-ish). And get to know one alien freak and nerdy kid (who's so cute and end up related with the whole alien thing too! @@).

Love the action part. Really cool effects and superpower they got! And humorous at parts, watch then you'll know. No. 6 who came to save John's butt kick asses! She's fireproof and can fight real well! Where as the John have this torchlight hand thing (LOL) which can start engine (LOL), blast off things and hit people real hard. Hmm I made it sound lame eh =___________=

I'd say it's worth watching if you like action movies!

Me and Tony had dinner at The Apartment before the movie. Choose this place because he wanted to try some place that he haven been to, and it sounded cool. So there we go.

Had a peek at the menu first as there's no much customers and most people there just drink. Suspicious right? End up the price was okay for western food (like rm20++ rm30++ and so on?). I didn't say it's cheap ya. LOL.

LOL! That's it. Well.... The aroma was very tempting and the cream was very tasty at first. It taste like chicken breast carbonara without the pasta. But I think I'm not a carnivorous person. I get tired of the chicken so fast. I want more potatoes not chicken. Or maybe pasta instead! I can finish quite big portion of carbonara pasta but this one... Well I actually don't really feel like eating after finishing half. Did eat everything up but I'm not going to order this anymore.

Butterflied lemon chicken.

I think I prefer my chicken in a bag. The sauce of this dish was something I don't know how to appreciate. Not really to my liking. And I can't taste the lemon or yoghurt in the chicken. According to Tony the chicken was finely done but the sauce is not appetizing. It's on my not-to-order-again list already.

Well overall the place was nice but the food we ordered is not really the food we'll appreciate. I'm not sure with their other dishes with normal names (like Shepard pie or some steak). Maybe I'll drop by again to chill with my friends (but but the drinks are expensive!) but probably not eating here. Hmm just my opinion.. You can just try some other dishes! They might come out tasty (then I soi lo ordered something I don't like..).

This is a long time ago post. The sampat family had a reunion dinner at Poco Homemade as Shawn came back from Taiwan for Chinese New Year =) This place is actually discovered by er jie Xue Ying. There're so many reviews on blogs and it seems so cute so we decided to come here like.. immediately xD

This place is very low-profile - It does not have big signs out there so we actually missed it like.. twice. =______________=

The interior and decorations.

The cafe is quite small, there're not many tables inside. But it's really cozy and homey! The whole place is full of handmade things, and decorations are cuteee with a hint of vintage. I likey! =D

Oh and by the way, the mini piano can really be played!

They serve Japanese food. And they'll change their dessert menu once in a while too! So nice! The down point is there's not as much choices as other places. But I don't mind it at all. We all manage to find something we like to order =)

The chicken is very crispy and the curry is not bad, so they together are a very nice combination indeed. Yummmmmmmmm!

Some soba with ebi tempura (correct or not O.o). Tasted some. I like it! But if you prefer heavier seasoning this is not for you then. Very refreshing and healthy dish thou =3

Procrastinating these days, so until now then I update my blog again. It's also because of me finishing my pathetic broadband quota, thus I cant have a decent steady connection to post anything.

Hmm. So, last Saturday, me, Jac and Joey finally got the time to meet up with Yuki and Yokoii that we get to know through the NHK Kawaii TV screening last time. We'd been rejecting and postponing the outing for dono how many times until we all feel very paiseh and squeeze out 1 day to hang out with them.

It's very unusual for me to have big clear eyes like this so I think it worth 2 photos. LOL.

I dress up more kawaii than usual that day I think my mum will be very touched and cry =____________=

It was our MUCCLS (Mahsa University College Chinese Language Society - very new society in Mahsa and our bunch are the pioneers Lol lol..) Prom night last friday. Held in Crystal Crown Hotel, it was a success =) Even thought I was having a bad flu and headache and all, I still had a lot of fun! Btw thanks yen yao for the medicine! =)

Started off the day by eating breakfast at mum side granny's house, and got this bunch of unexpected guests!

Finally it's new year eve! Of course we have to go back to dad's side grandpa's place. Even thought we don't really celebrate Chinese new year this year (as my grandma passed away) reunion dinner is still a must!

Not everyone came back this year. But our family is still very very big (HAHA!). We need 4 tables to accommodate everyone!

1 and 2 in the living room for all papas and mamas and grandpa and few eldest grandson..

Then 3 and 4 in the dining room beside living room for the kids (LOL I'm still kid here xD)

I got 2 uncles who open cafe here so no prob in finding extra tables and plates and fork and spoon and so on haha.

FOOD! There're some more other than these xD These were the work of a bunch of daughter in laws and daughter of y grandpa~ Yummehhh!

Chinese New Year celebration @ Marudi Part 1

Gong Xi Fatt Chai!

Went back to Miri on 29th night then flew to Marudi which is my birthplace + REAL hometown on 30th early morning with my youngest aunt and siblings. The flight took only like 15 minutes? It's very near Miri and it a very small and peaceful town. Both my mum and dad grew up here too!

Since we haven took our breakfast, the 1st place we stop at is Marudi's market place, where my aunt (forgot is 2nd or 3rd aunt in the family =S) have a stall there.

Dumplings made by my aunt. They're mad yummeh! Once you bite in the soup will flow out and OMG I just have to eat this everyday when I was there xD

Petaling Street short food trip!

Just came back from my lil hometown Marudi for a few days~ Gonna update bout my trip back soon. Extremely busy these days as I have to work for parents ><

Wanna post some old pics of our short trip (me. Jac and Joey AGAIN) to Petaling Street before Chinese New Year here. We got no class on that day so we're free to go!

This is supposed to be a food trip (plus it's lunch time we're starving plus I didn't eat my breakfast) so our 1st stop is the shop where Jac claims they have the best wan tan mee in the whole Kuala Lumpur. Only me and Jac ordered because Joey wanna eat at the shop she claims that they have to best beef noodle in Kuala Lumpur LOL. I got a bit phobia of beef noodle (terrible experience the 1st time I ate beef noodle. I was sick, ate the noodle then puke LOL. After that I can't say I like beef noodle... You know..) and decided to fill up my empty tummy 1st here.

The shop is very small really.. We have to wait for a few minutes to get a seat. Despite the insufficient seats, people still queue outside @@ See how popular are they?

And Tadaa! Our nom! It's pretty good I can say. The sauce is nice while the noodle is chewy~ It's wan tan soup is tasty too! Would like to eat it again one day.

Our next stop is the beef noodle shop.

It kinda look like spaghetti right? Not the type that will start my beef-noodle-phobia so I ate some. AND IT'S AMAZING. Then I ordered one too to share with Joey. Means Joey and me ate extra half set each xD I think the highlight of this beef noodle is the soup. It's very nice! Very nicely stewed bone soup and the beef slices are cooked to perfection, not too hard or raw =3

Continue to walk around Petaling Street after the very enjoyable meal.

Here's the synopsis :

The movie was not bad, a very action packed comedy. Jay Chou seems a bit odd in the movie thought.. Don't know why. The story line is just okay, and they love to use the slow motion thing that makes the fight look kinda fake. Still, no regret watching it, at least the cars are cool and I laughed throughout the movie xD

We actually considered not watching it as we got test today, so planned to study last night. Luckily we went coz the test was horribly tough and study the notes doesn't help anyway. Nobody knows the answers HAHA! Great choice for choosing not to study xP

That's all for today. Am going back to Miri on Saturday! Wheeeeeeeeee Chinese new year mood on already and me and joey can't stop singing new year songs while I get very very hay-wired today. Oh well who cares? =D

Gyaru makeover by NHK Kawaii TV!

I never knew our good luck is coming when Joey sms-ed me ask me and Jac (we were shopping at Timesquare that time) go Sungai Wang to find Cheesie and Audrey. Then I never knew they're actually waiting for some fans blog readers to drop by when we walked there. Oh well, what happened was, once we walk there to talk to Cheesie the camera man starts shooting then the gyaru models start spamming japanese words at us LOL. Then when I replied 'Hajimemashite' (err nice to meet you) they all go crazy then shriek 'sugoii!!' 'kawaii' like I'm some parrot that talks. Literally haha~

Then errr after some frantic attempts to understand what they're talking a translator come by (oh thank god I don wanna continue to look like a talking parrot on TV) and ask us if we are interested to join a make over programme by the NHK Kawaii TV. I dono why I'm so brave I just nodded LOL so we're in.

Since Cheesie and Audrey asked whoever interested for the gyaru make over to join them at KLCC, Joey and Renae came as well. Sighhhhh I do look stupid and out of place when I got there..

We were been brought to a hotel (OMG OMG will we get kidnapped then woke up in a bath tub full with blood and missing kidney?? Lol think too much)

Half way~ Just finished trimming eyebrows and put on foundation now we all look like peeled hard boiled egg like Maiko sensei said. LOL

Okay lah I'll make this short. After few hours talking and playing around and make up and eat in the room, we were finally done! And the results.....

Then we formed a Malaysia gyaru gang call Fourcheese LOL. Aud and Cheesie's our boss nao so anything go find them xD (JK) Yuki and Yukoii are sooooo cute together just like twins! Believe me Yuki is same age with me while Yukoii is 1 year younger. >< I look sooo mature looking in contrast (Eh Joey, adult style is what again ahh? I cant remember hahaha xP)

Then we were brought to Pavilion to be shown off lol. The 2 girls beside are some fans readers of Cheesie and Aud they look so pretty without gyaru make up I envy TnT

Confident till max that time. Even thought we were surrounded by a whole bunch of people I didn't feel a bit nervous too. Haha really, told ya the confidence fell from the sky xD
