What do you guys think!?

We rented a room in the local rec center. It’ll have tables and chairs and I think even a sink which will come in handy. We rented it for 2 hrs! So here’s the problem WHAT THE HECK am I going to do with 7 kids from 2-7? So far I have two ideas:

Cupcake Decorating (this seemed to be a huge hit last year)

Printing out Fire Truck related coloring pages and letting them color

BUT

what else!? Please tell me you guys have some ideas! I’m begging you!

Oh AND Food!

What should I serve? I know I’ll be making cupcakes and maybe a smash cake but what else?!!? Since it’s from 2-4 I feel like I absolutely have to have more than desserts!

I had no idea you could use it on the carpet so that was a pleasant surprise especially since our carpet has taken a beating since getting a dog and having Mason.

Once you put it together you plug it in give it 30 seconds and it’s ready to use. I couldn’t believe how well it worked, the dirt came right up. I was kind of grossed out actually. I’ve been steam moping twice a week because of that, I never realized how much dirt our floors pick up!

But I do want to have decorations and things. So I need to get moving on that. I’m stuck between doing an initial/age theme and a cars/trucks theme. Either one I decide to go with I have to hurry. I have two weeks. Which means if I need to order something I need to hurry. You know what else happens in two weeks? I turn 25. what. the. heck.

Okay so back to the point of this post, here’s some inspiration for Mason’s big day.

I want to start his day off with balloons in his room. The problem with this is he comes in with me in the middle of the night so I’m not sure how I’ll pull this one off!

For breakfast I want to make him Birthday Pancakes, I’ll switch it up a little by doing them in his initials and a number 2!

As far as decorations go:

I want to get MJG but J is out of stock

Except with a 2 obviously or maybe even his initials?

This Carrot Lentil Soup is a staple in our household. This makes a HUGE pot (enough to freeze some). It’s vegan and is clean eating at its finest. My favorite part about it is that you don’t need Chicken Stock like most soups call for and it’s so cheap to make!

This soup is hearty and filling and oh so delicious. Random side note. I don’t like beans and I had never had lentils.

I got a dSLR right before Christmas, I’ve saved up my Amazon gift codes that I’ve gotten from blogging for a little over a year. I’m so happy with my purchase. I think that once I start learning more about my camera it’s going to be very beneficial to my growing my blog and most importantly taking amazing pictures of my little man.

Speaking of my little man, he’s finally eating more and not nursing as much. We don’t nurse during the day just before bed time and then when he wakes up in the middle of the night and finally in the morning. During the day he gets sippy cups with cut juice or water. He still doesn’t really drink milk.

He’s eating more solids too although it tends to be lots of Peanut Butter and Crackers. And within the last couple of days peanut butter by the spoonful.

God forbid the boy doesn’t get what he wants, because then he does this:

As of right now I don’t have anything planned for Mason’s birthday, I guess I should get on it. We just don’t really know that many people so it seems a little pointless. But I know I want to do something even if it’s small! Nothing over the top like this party I ran across.  But now that I have my gorgeous camera it’s like I *have* to have a party complete with an adorable theme etc etc.  But I’m not sure if I can swing it this late in the game, although I think I can! We’ll see. So that leaves me with this question for y’all.

Vanilla, Mocha and Original. International Delight also sent my an adorable reusable cup. I use it almost every day and not just for Iced Coffee.

As soon as we got it B and I were anxious to try it. The first one we cracked open was the Original. We loved that it was ready made, we didn’t have to worry about brewing a pot of coffee and then cooling it down or going out to our local coffee shop to buy some. B’s favorite was the original, mine however was the vanilla!

Another thing I like is how long it’s good for. We go through our coffee pretty fast but just in case we don’t it stays fresh longer than brewed coffee would, seven days after you open.
