This month, Michael’s has challenged us on making a trendy ornament wreath with anything the Michael’s Stores has in store.

Materials we used:

• Wreath Wire
• white/silver tinsel
• chunky yarn
• trendy ornaments from Michael’s Store
• floral faux
• small 1.7 inches white and clear ornaments

Instructions:

• Wrap around the tinsel in the metal wire wreath. Then wrap around some chunky yarn.
• After that, you then hot glue some of your favorite trendy ornaments this year. Some floral, and small white and clear ornaments.

My daughter freaked and loved the wreath so much and she now declared it to be hers so she can put up in her door.

Is that time of year where its time to put our Christmas Tree up! It’s been said that decorating early for Christmas will make you happy and I believe it. Christmas makes me happy and I love to put up my decorations early to enjoy the holidays a little longer.

This year Michael’s challenged us again to make our dream tree come to life and here it is. I created a frosted floral tree using mainly garlands, flowers, greenery and faux flowers picks.

Decorating your tree with garlands is super easy! Add extra things to garland, and when ready to add to tree you simply attach around your tree and viola. Decorate your garland with your favorite ornaments and faux flowers before attaching to your tree and then you swirl around your tree. Add a little snow frosted look by spraying snow in a can. About a month and half ago, we found several kittens just days old in our backyard. We left them alone because the cat mom was around. We checked the kittens a few times a week. One day, the momma cat moved the kittens, and one single tiny kitten was left alone. We figured cat momma forgot him, but this wasn’t the case. He was left behind. The husband and my lil guy are a bit extra sensitive to cat hair, but we were careful and rescued the kitten. His name is Louie.

My husband is mildly allergic to dust mites, cats, dogs, grass and garden weeds. My little guy is also allergic to cats so that’s interesting. My husband loves cats, he even grew up with cats and his parents thought he was making up all those stuffy noses and watery eyes and it wasn’t until adulthood where he found out about his allergies.

It’s hard to keep up a clean dust- free home, and it’s almost impossible with kids. Tiny bits of dust that I miss, can easily make my husband’s eyes watery. Yikes! We often buy lots of dust trapping cloths, change our air filters often, and now that we have two tiny kittens, I’m not sure how to handle everything. The book is the first in a new series from Mo Willems! It was very easy for her to read and have fun reading along with her little brother. She even enjoyed reading to her little kitten. She loved the story and the pictures. I think the educational portion explaining teeth at the end of the book is perfection. I loved seeing her so happy reading aloud, making the exclamations as fun as possible. I asked her to read it to me, and it was truly a very cute, creative book to read at bedtime and also for reading time after school.

To celebrate the new release of Mo Willems’ new book, we created a mini tooth fairy box using some natural elements and of course fairy elements like glitter. In the story, a baby tooth is pulled out, and lost. Never lose another baby tooth with this fairy box! Your kiddo can put their tooth inside after it falls out and make it easy for the tooth fairy to find it.

Materials Needed:

– A craft box

– glitter

– natural leaves

– cotton balls

– mod podge

Use a brush to add mod podge to the outside of the craft box, then sprinkle on glitter .

Add cushion inside the box by using some cotton, then add pieces of boxwood leaves.

Top it with fresh flowers using hot glue to arrange in place.

Once a tooth falls off, its ready to place in the fairy box.

As soon as you enter Michael’s you will now see everything Halloween, Thanksgiving and even Christmas things you really need now.

This time around we will be making a unicorn headpiece no-sew because the unicorn in you needs it. My little part unicorn girl was amazed on how fast and easy I was able to make this unicorn headpiece. She loved it so much she wants to wear it all the time around the house.

Instructions below.

You will need the following from Michael’s Store:

• white Hancock fabric remnant
• small amount of fiber fill
• gold metallic cord
• glitter tulle
• Bead Landing gold headband
• faux fall flowers
• hot glue and glue sticks

Step 1. Make a half circle in the corner of fabric and cut.

Step 2. Fold to form a cone and hot glue edge.

Step 3. Fill with fiber fill.

Step 4. Overlap ends and hot glue to close cone. Add a circle shape piece of fabric if necessary.

Step 5. Using some gold tulle of fabric, cover the horn and hot glue edge. Starting from the tip of the cone, hot glue metallic gold cord around the cone and cut off remaining edge.

Step 6. Hot glue now complete horn to the middle of the gold headband and hot glue small little detailed faux flowers.

Now your unicorn fan can have their own whimsical unicorn headpiece.

Instructions:

• Create your own basic font image on your cricut desing space. You can even buy the pre cut letters at Michael’s Stores. Draw or cut sleepy eyelashes as well.
• Cut, and tape to the glass of the frame.
• Add a gold horn, glue some flowers and you are done. Very simple and very minimal for the unicorn lover.

And you are ready to take pictures with your little one. Take pictures on a white background and dress your little gal in simple minimal colors so the frame can be the center of attention.

Busy life as a family of four can be very hectic sometimes and now that school is almost over I may be needing some help. My kiddos will need plenty of things to keep them occupied. I have always loved the Amazon Fire Kids Edition tablet and it’s the perfect to entertain and play with my kiddos during our summer break.

We are able to pull up e-books from Amazon FreeTime Unlimited to read together and use it to read during her homework out loud. She loves her Amazon Kids Edition tablet 8 and I couldn’t be happier to let her use her tablet for reading everyday.

1. Read e-books together every day for 20 minutes. My daughter loves reading, and she has trouble a little with some words but we are working on it. If you have seen our stories last week, we had a fun day filled with lots of amazing people, Scooby, the Mystery Machine van, my kids learned about gardening, we got our hands dirty and we planted tomato and pepper plants. We pulled out weeds, we then added manure, and then soil. My four-year-old just loved helping removing weeds and driving his little Scooby-Doo monster truck around. My daughter’s most favorite thing to do was digging and making a big hole to plant a citrus tree. We loved the hands-on experience in growing and eating plants. She was loving all the information the gardener taught the kids. We were super excited to have been invited along. Our day was full of inspiration and I was grateful to help teach my kiddos about DooGood for our environment and local communities. Get inspired to DooGood for earth and the future.

I made her a last minute cake a few days before leaving for spring break vacation and it turned out pretty cute. Check it out below.

She loves nature and playing outside so this was her perfect favorite birthday.. she wanted a barbecue, cake and playing with her little brother and dad outside. We even had a piñata to break, pretty cupcakes and LOL Surprise cookies to eat.

Cookies were made by YellowCake Shop in Houston TX. All decorations are from Michael’s . The sleepy eyes balloons are actually just vinyl stickers that we placed on the balloons. The Helium from Balloon Time didn’t work because of the high altitude but we were able to just tape them to the wall.

We started with a few L.O.L. Dolls and then at the end we finished with all the complete series. At first, we started collecting so many duplicates we had no idea how to trade them since not all her little girls in our area had many to trade. So we turned to online forums and then Facebook groups. We were able to trade multiple dolls for the ones we needed.

I for one, am a fan of L.O.L. surprise as well as my daughter. We will continue to collect until our little heart desires.
