Had such a fun time doing photoshoot at Bliss House Theme Restaurant with the vintage theme. Me and my friend, Shella had lunch in majestic setting while playing dress up a la Dior New Look.

Bliss House is a new thematic restaurant with great outdoor setting in mainly two different themes, the garden and the grand victorian themed house. Their furniture and interior are carefully selected to create the ambience. Therefore it would be awesome for a thematic party such as 21st birthday or wedding hall.

Not only having grand setting, their food is lovely too. We tried the clam linguine and mushroom alfredo.

Personally i am not a huge fan of creamy pasta, and they serve amazing linguine, the al dente pasta is served with tasty broth and generous amounts of clam! Those cheese bites sprinkled over the second plate, completes the taste of Shella's pasta.

For the party, they also provide props such as masks and rental of wedding gown

Enjoying our english breakfast tea. Vintage is not mu usual cup of tea, but exploring different fashion style is fun! We even learn how to do the 50's make up look and hair style with all the curl and wavy front. Do i look like i pop out from 50's time machine?

The traffic stopping fashion show is even bigger this year. Samsung Fashion Steps Out 2013 will be held once again in the main road of Orchard Road on May 4 2013.

Not that i'm feeling sad, but i really love monochromatics outfit no matter what's the weather is. Nowadays it's been raining a lot in Singapore. Some people say when it is raining they feel like wearing dark colors, but for me i can wear it like every single day.

Got this tee from one of my favourite Indonesian local label, Cotton Ink. The leather patch makes it unique and yep the tee is so comfortable. Also the details of the krey shawl.

Tried this restaurant for the first time during Valentine. Cocotte restaurant is tucked in the row of shophouses nearby my uni. Its rustic and vintage ambience gives a kind of homy feeling. I didn't bring my camera that time so these pics below are taken with my Blackberry phone.

We shared the mussel soup and this ham as appetizer. The tomato based soup is really delish, with a bit of spicy taste.

I ordered this crispy pork belly cuisine that night. I am so surprised that the portion is totally huge if you compare it to another restaurant. I do love the crispy and tender pork meat, it's just i can't eat too much. Glad that they serve it with baked beans and vegetables! ($38)

My friend ordered the grilled chicken which comes with asparagus and potato as side dish (serves for two)

Overall, Cocotte is great for casual dinner but i wish they have more extensive selection of menu. The ambience is great for gathering or chill out too as they have mini bar. Their space is limited, so it's better to do reservation first if you intend to go on weekend.

And yes, i loooove this song from Breakbot and i;ve been putting it on repeat for zillion times. You should listen!

Earth hour is neither an obligation nor merely a trend. It is a reminder for us to act against world climate change and to save the mother earth.

Climate change in general is the change of climate system statistical properties over the years. Global local temperature has been raising 1.4°F over the last centuries. Major heat waves, more intense rain in several locations (which resulted floods), the rise of sea levels temperature, and melting ice caps are some of the evidences of global warming.

As the title said, black and white outfit at its simplicity.

Went for a mini photo shoot with Tarandip 2 weeks back and it was a windy day indeed. My first time wearing the dress out, just paired this comfortable cotton piece with leather jacket and studs for tough look and minimalist silver/black ankle strap heels to complete the look.

Life as final year student is incredibly hectic. This is my last semester (time does fly!) and there are so many things need to be completed. I am on track but being having lack of sleep lately. Just finished my contextual essay yesterday (might need to be edited again a bit later) and now catching up with my business plan.

A little review on this restaurant called Food For Thought i visited some time ago. With minimalist setting, this restaurant serve various italian and american dishes. I would like to say that they do have delicious all day breakfast as well as comfort food and it's one of the places i would go back to.

We ordered the prawn salmon risotto ($18) and basil pesto chicken linguine ($14). The risotto has soft texture and buttery feeling. I personally like my linguine as the combination of its al dente pasta marries the sauce well, the broth is also in the sufficient amount (not too much)

Located just beside the 8Q SAM (Singapore Art Museum) at Bras Basah area, it is a nice place just to have afternoon tea or gather with friends. Their old southern red velvet cake ($6) is just lovely! It features rather springy texture, not as soft as other red velvet, and has a perfect dose of sweetness. With the tagline of "good food for good case", this restaurant also has different causes to help those in needs. After their meal customers can donate sum of money to help needy children or other causes of their choice.

Feels much neater after I cut and recolored my hair as well as trimmed my eyebrows. What do you think? :) The post below also featured me in short hair but I think this one gives clearer view. I miss my long hair sometimes but I think a change is good sometimes.

Paired my Ray Ban sunglasses with smart casual outfit for a dinner with a friend i haven't seen for so long at Lucy in the Sky, Jakarta. Previously I worn the glasses with something more edgy (here) but now i opt for something more polish.

It is still one of my favourite pair and it shows how your classic Ray Ban Aviator can be paired with different outfits! If you are currently looking for a pair of designer sunglasses, do check them.

To be honest this kind of hairstyle is kinda new to me as I always go back to the same hairstylist in Jakarta. For this one, i did the cut and coloring at Pro Trim Singapore, and it really gives a different touch to my look. For the eyebrow I did it at Browhaus as usual.

As the days start to get warmer it may be time to refresh your school uniform drawer.Pack away those thick sweatshirts and trousers, and bring in some spring/summer school uniform essentials instead.

Polo Shirts

Polo shorts are a school staple. La fleur or the flower prints is once again blooming on the Spring Summer season. It has been one of the most popular prints, but for 2013, designers add a bit of twist to the prints. Read on to know more about this fashion trend.

This season, the designers mix the colorful digital flower prints with black color to add sophistication. Besides that they also did a play on fabrics like shiny satin and textured jacquard for a twist. 3.1 Phillip Lim, Anna Sui do it all over the bodice while thakoon only put it on the top and keep the bottom simple. Dries van Noten’s is printed on jacquard making it a bit like 3d pop up. Etro and Bottega Venetta mix the prints with lines or illusion of line, resulting in a chic sleek piece.

So here’s my take on this la fleur trend

Mango flower print dress. H&M beige blazer. Zara bag shoes and belt. F21 sunglasses.

This dress has an interesting digital mirror prints with blue-purple flower and leaves, making it out of ordinary. This type of prints has been on trend since last year, so don’t keep yours at the behind of wardrobe just yet! I think the black color makes the prints become not-so-loud, cause i guess i prefer prints that doesn’t really “scream”. Moreover, the satin base with straight silhouette makes it appropriate for different occasions, including semi formal events.

Pictures are taken at Gardens by The Bay, Singapore, a while ago while i accompanied my cousins for sightseeing. There are various flowers at the place, but especially those are blooming in Asian Region. It’s been a while since i last did nature photography, so here is some of them!

Tired of the heat, we cross the overhead bridge to Marina Bay Sands for tea time. Yes, i love tea time so much so we went to TWG for tea time set and I ordered my favourite white tea as well. Anyway i just realized that this post is so colorful!

Pairing my new white blazer from pixiechic with black sateen shorts and new white top from H&M. I wore this outfit to meet dearest Lalita upon landing on Jakarta, but I know I can wear this to other event as well as it is quite formal.

Today is my first day going to Perpustakaan Nasional Republik Indonesia (National library of Indonesia) and i am really dissapointed. First, they banned me to go in because i'm wearing shorts, I mean they don't state it anywhere and it is my first time going there, thus i need to buy long pants first to go in. They allow short skirt but not shorts, weird much? Second, their book collection is not really complete, those i want are listed on their online catalogue, while when i reach apperently they are not there. Thirdly, the 9th and 10th level seriously closes at 3pm, that's terribly early. Fourth, we have to make member card, fill in GAZILLION forms, before patiently wait for the librarian to get the book for us and they only have one photocopy machine while there are a lot of people queueing. Fifth, they don't have enough locker to put our bags, we have to put it lying on the floor. I find myself being so unproductive and the procedures is so ineffective. Guess what, if outside poor street people orang peminta minta) wants to study because they don't have money to buy book, they also need to wear long pants (you ever seen peminta minta with a pair of jeans?) and fill in so many forms including where they live, what's their phone number, the address of their college, etc? i mean seriously, library is meant for public and all sorts of people. Please don't make it hard for people who just want to study.

I will be in Jakarta until sunday for school project research, meeting, and attending friend's wedding.

short guide to ubud bali part one

It was a beautiful afternoon in Ubud, where mother nature plays its music. The sound of skylark, the sound of dove, and the pitter patter rhythm of the rain. For us staying in urban city, the exotic nature is a luxury by itself.

With our freewill souls, we immediately explore Ubud after we came back from the short trip to Danau Batur in the morning.

As a fan of bakery, I would not miss the taste of fresh local bread for (sort of late) tea time. Our driver drove us to Kakiang bakery & cafe (Pengosekan street) where I got my coffee, meat bun and the delicious cookies fresh from the oven. The little store itself looks modern, the name is not so commercial (think of bread talk in jakarta) but their creation is a bliss.

Me and my friend started our journey along the Road of Hanoman. Both of us are big fan of aroma therapy, and yet this is one of our favourite store in Ubud, Buttercup. From refreshing ginger soap to sultry rose aromatherapy oil, and the calming lavender massage oil, the store got it all. I can't help but getting some face mask, soap, and oil home.

There are many many stores selling fashion merchandises as well as local handicrafts along this road. You must bargain whenever possible (when the exact price is not printed in the label) especially if you're a foreigner. We spent time going to one store after another. Another worth visiting place is a concept store (quite near to Buttercup) that sells natural rock like quartz which is believed to enchance your aura.

Across the street, there is Clear Cafe selling cookies and sponge cakes in so many varieties, perfect for your dietary needs. The cafe also serves healthy and vegetarian food. We got ourself the banana walnut sponge cake (+-17k each). If you have some time you have to try Taksu restaurant too.

As the sky is getting darker, we head to the famous Bebek Bengil restaurant for dinner. Bebek Bengil stands for dirty/naughty duck which comes from the event whereby the ducks with dirty feet from the padi field walked across the restaurant before they opened. The crispy duck set meal (crispy until the bone is too) costs about 75k a plate, but it's so nice the taste lingers in your mouth.

After finishing the last bite of our dinner, we walked towards the other side of the junction which is the main road of Ubud for sightseeing. We saw some interesting stores and intrigued to try Kué bakery and cafe have some desserts and plan for our next day. It started raining again right after we are seated upstairs. We got tiramisu, carrot cake, and sip of cappuccino for companion in the mild cold weather

Had a total adventure for this photoshoot, as me Catherine and Steffie were on a journey to find the abandoned railway track in Singapore. For those staying in Singapore, we all know that the infamous malaysian railway track connecting Singapore-Malaysia (tanjong pagar station) has been removed from its original place. Lucky us to find this tiny spot left.

Wearing the crop sweater i received from Picnic, which i love so much because it is so comfortable and versatile. Channeling the minimalist sports luxe this time with the subtle shimmer accent from the sweater and the tailored pants in navy. Must admit that Picnic is one of my favourite local store as it has trendy pieces with affordable pieces, i'm sure you'll find one that catches your eyes!

And yes it's one hot sunny day I can't bear it without sunglasses. And it is one hella trip as it is far from where we stay and we need to sort of hike to reach this railway track. But all is worth it, for the sake of good photos! You know that Singapore is full of buildings, finding this sort of natural and oldies place is a kind of pleasure, hope they're not being demolished.

Found this blazer in a speed shopping, cause i need a piece of new clothing for an event. For this outfit, i paired it with basics like crisp white shirt and black skirt. This makes an ensemble for quite a formal event, office attire shall not be boring, yes? I can imagine wearing this outfit while sitting behind my desk in my future studio.

Sorry for not posting anything these days. I have just come back from my hometown for Chinese New Year. Had an amazing time and hope you all do too! Had lack of sleep last night and sleepily caught a flight this morning. Just wish to be relaxed tonight! By the way what's your plan for Valentine's day?

I decided to pair the sunglasses with military inspired clothing. It's one of my favourite jacket from Zara that developed the crease it is being washed from time to time, creating one of a kind moss green color. I wore this for an afternoon walk last week and watching some music performance at Esplanade. The weather is super nice that day and could not be missed.

One of my favourite limited edition tshirt i got from uniqlo in their collaboration with undercover. Undercover is coveted clothing label from Japan by Jun Takahashi. The pieces are simply stunning with solid colors interesting details.

I rarely wear simple t-shirt, but this one is surely a statement making. I snapped it from the menswear department, cause i love the relaxed fit from men's t-shirt. For me Uniqlo stores in singapore is an awesome place to shop for basics as their quality is really good. .... and yes truth is, most of my t-shirt is from men's section.
