To my dear neglected blog followers…… I am sorry. I have been busy and have so many gorgeous sessions to share, I have just been a bit……OK a LOT slack on the blogging front. I am back now ready to bombard you with all my gorgeous new and repeat clients.  To begin, check out this little cutie, he is one of my baby planners who came with his adoring Family back for his midyear session. Here he was as a tiny newborn, and then again while his Family were preparing for his birth.

I love to photograph babies, I love their innocence and the way they are always being themselves. Its only now my children are grown that I realise how important portraits taken at that 9 – 10 month age are. It is my childrens own baby portraits that I love to look back and celebrate their similarities and differences.

As I have mentioned numerous times previously, I also love the capture the bond between siblings. These brothers already have a mutual adoration of each other, and is a bond that is only going to get stronger.

I had a fantastic early morning session with this little one and her Family. Isn’t she adorable! There are so many things that go through a photographers mind when creating an image, for me my 2 priorities are good light and connection. I choose to share the following image because well, I love it! I love the light in this magical location and I love the way this little treasure is connecting with me, reciting her favourite book, which of course has her best friend Winnie in it:)

It has been such an honour to photograph this little guy on his journey to 1. This was his third supermodel performace, his other sessions can be viewed here and here. I love the memories that I have created for him and his Parents as they look back on their own journey of parenthood and that eventful first year. The year that parents learn that no matter how much they want to be or pretend to be, another little person is completely in control! These two are amazing parents. Completely in love with this amazing child and are so good at availing him to all nurturing experiences, including the important texture exploration of the outdoors. I love this first image, it tells the story of an inquisitive intelligent baby taking such delight in simplicity as he learns from his environment. Each and every time I capture these essential baby delevelopments I know I have done my job in documenting the true essence of a child. The one thing I strive for most in my photography.

I had such a hard time choosing another image that tells the story of this family, there are so many that celebrate the loving way Mum, Dad and Baby C all interact with each other. I finally decided on this one as I love the way baby C is the star of the show (again showing his inqusitive advernturous nature) while his adoring parents are in the background playing a supporting role as they watch and celebrate their Son conquoring the world.

A and E, thank you for allowing me to document your gorgeous Son’s first year through my images. I will be in touch as soon as I can when your full gallery is ready.

I had a great sessions with this Family on Saturday evening. We were both a little nervous with the weather but thankfully the light couldn’t have been more perfect! I loved this little guy, so happy to chill wherever but his favourite place was in his Daddy’s arms playing the favoured game of many babies……Aeroplanes!

He has no idea how lucky he is to not only have 2 parents that completely adore hime but also has his big sisters to turn to. Thank you for meeting me all M Family, you were all so easy to work with. I have some great shots for you and will be in touch shortly.

I had such a wonderful time photographing this extended Family just before Christmas. The cousins had such a great time spending time together and it was great fun for me to capture the Children playing together. The session was a gift for Grandma. PERFECT, which Grandparent wouldn’t love a shot of all their Grandchildren together!

I had the pleasure of photographing this Family late last year. They were such a connected loving Family that love nothing more than spending time playing together.

The setting we chose was a photographers dream. I have been meaning to try this location for some time as I am always looking for an opportunity to include the Brindabellas in my portraits. Having them in the background of the following portrait is a subtle reminder that we are in Canberra.

The lead up to Christmas was completely crazy! I feel so grateful to have such a thriving business but it does mean that anything that doesn’t involve getting my clients their artwork needs to take a back seat, and although I love showing off my Clients there just wasn’t the time before the holidays. Now we are well into ’go slow’ January keep posted for plenty of catch up blog posts:)

This little princess bought her Family along for some Family portraits too. It was hard to choose which to share on the blog as there were many great images, they were such a connected little Family. I finally choose this one as I think it tells the story of the care and devotion her 2 parents feel for her so she is free to enjoy her amazing life without a care in the world. I converted this image to black and white to keep the focus on this Families mutual adoration.
