Last week, Facebook finally made the announcement of its public offering, ending a year of speculation about when it would finally come to market. Although I don't normally follow the markets too closely, this particular story grabbed my attention for a variety of reasons.

The reason that everyone is discussing is the speculation over what Facebook's data is actually worth. As we have grown accustomed to seeing in the stock market, the current valuation is somewhere in the ridiculous range of 100 times the actual revenue brought in by the company. Despite these vastly inflated figures, potential investors are still eager to jump on the bandwagon.

If you ever wanted an example of "park and pray," here it is! Facebook's value is primarily its audience and reach, which it has little to no control over. Although Facebook brings in revenue, there is no evidence that it will be able to comfortably capitalize on its data without alienating its users. Also, it's well known that Facebook users are tremendously resistant to change, especially the types that would revolve around any increased sales or advertising.

Let's not forget that Facebook is currently one of the 10 most hated companies in America, despite how much attention it gets for keeping the attention of its users.

The problems of becoming slower and less entrepreneurial will likely not help the situation much more.

Beyond all of the financial data comes an even more frustrating prospect. Across the media, many are questioning why they are not receiving a share of the cash.

This is a prime example of the disconnect that we're seeing in the political arena and what's playing out in the world economy.

When you go to a store, does the shopkeeper pay you for coming to their establishment? There wouldn't be many businesses that could survive in that model.

Mark Zuckerberg, like him or hate him, has been a shining example of entrepreneurship over Facebook's meteoric rise. His leadership and decision-making, often RESISTING some of the monetization strategies, has helped them out-compete. Let's not forget that Facebook was NOT the first social network and at first, a lot of people laughed them off. Look no further than the story of MySpace, which was actually backed by Rupert Murdoch's powerful News Corp.

So why do I care so much about all of these facts? Because there's an opportunity here!

It's not just the opportunity of the Facebook IPO, which will certainly make a lot of people a lot of money off the back of a tremendous entrepreneur. Rather than begging for a slice of that particular pie, look at the competitive environment and understand that there is an immense opportunity to capitalize on a now entrenched and slower moving Facebook with a superior product. There's nothing stopping any Facebook user from simply creating something better.

With the current speed of technology, it's a lot more likely than you think. The experts might laugh in your face, calling Facebook too big and too powerful. The same way someone might have laughed in 1996 if you would have told them that America Online would fall the way it did. The same way that someone might have called you a fool in 1984 if you told them that Apple would eventually be nearly bankrupt in the late 90s.

I'm sure a lot of people told Mark Zuckerberg that he couldn't do it too...and look where he is now. He did and so can you.

As our Tuesday sessions have continued to develop and evolve, there have been some common trends emerging among the hundreds of websites we've reviewed and discussed. In particular, Internet Marketing is a strategy that is largely defined by the "measurable and quantifiable," meaning that you need to have a clear understanding of what your website can and cannot do.

Today, let's talk about what your website "isn't."

Your website isn't a brochure.

Decisions, whether they are to make a purchase or what to have for dinner, are largely driven by attachment and familiarity. For example, most children love pizza and hate asparagus. Part of this is our emotional understanding of these concepts - no one had to force us to eat pizza, but typically you had a much more adversarial relationship with the vegetable. Even though we'd be told repeatedly that the asparagus was "good for us," which it obviously is, we'd likely choose the pizza instead. Pizza has the instant appeal, while it's much harder to understand the overall benefits of the asparagus since it is spread over time.

Although emotions aren't the ONLY factors in decision-making, they're normally what will make the difference between "yes" and "no." When translated to the sales experience, we tend to buy from people who we know, like and trust, even if the alternative is someone who might ACTUALLY have more experience or valuable information.

This is exactly why your website's central focus should always be about the VISITOR, not about YOU. Sure, your website can have a page specifically about your experience and accolades for those who want to look. However, most people will arrive on your website looking for the answer to a question or more information about a particular topic. If your audience arrives looking for that answer and you are spending that valuable time trying to introduce yourself, you are missing opportunity!

Your website isn't self-sufficient.

Since we're talking about childhood experiences, let's talk about another common example. Many of us have been to a carnival, fair, or even just a pet store and come home with the tragic story of our beloved goldfish. Most of us are extremely excited to bring the goldfish home and riding high on the emotional wave of having our new pet. The next day, we get up to go to school. A day or two passes and the goldfish loses its luster. If everyone forgets to feed the fish, you're in for some classic childhood trauma.

The same thing is true of our websites - they're shiny, new and exciting, if not even a bit intimidating in their possibilities. But in some regards, they're just an updated version of that same goldfish. Because of the other needs in our business, we forget to feed them. Without our support, we're in for a different type of angst.

Effective marketing is never truly complete and this is ESPECIALLY true in Internet Marketing. Keeping your website current, conversational and well-fed is vital to actually gaining some traction. The myth of "set it and forget it" or passive income is just that...a myth.

Development is just phase one of what should be a larger plan. Don't forget that as part of your efforts!

The big lesson?

Eat your vegetables and feed your fish...

Also, understand that your website exists to serve your visitor and must be kept up well to be effective. By understanding what your website isn't, you can put much more effort into what it will become.

I have a lot of conversations when I am on the road - a lot - and one of the biggest ones is how stunningly wrong the traditional talk track is about "saving money." Let me set the record straight. If you are saving your pennies, skimping on your dreams, living small and cheating yourself out of success, then you need a new path. Live Out Loud is as much about the way you think about things (mindset) as much as it is about how you do them (tactics).

The reason most people fail on their budgets, much like diets, is that the focus is on restriction. Let's not kid ourselves, what you receive is what you think about the most. It's not just The Secret, it's a fact. Not only is restriction and saving giving you 30 years of a life you DON'T want, it's also not allowing you to move at the speed of innovation and opportunity. It doesn't honor your gifts or talents.

The conflict of these messages is exhausting. No wonder so many people have a lack of energy, let alone Yes! Energy. You can't get rich financially, personally or spiritually if your reality is restrictive. This same philosophy applies to all of you who are primarily focused on debt, or even worse, those of you who have mixed messages around how debt can actually be a huge asset to building wealth.

Also, your naysayers are out there constantly sharing their message of risk. But, as many of you heard during our Yes! Energy Celebration last week, our primary source of fear is NOT of failure. Most of us are truly afraid of wild success.

I can't blame you. After all, you're bombarded with hours of messages about how you shouldn't even have your morning coffee.

Avoiding this constant trap of exhaustion is all about protecting your energy, particularly the source that allows you to say Yes! to your gifts. When your answer is "Yes!" there is no limit to possibility, which is just as intimidating as it is empowering. But successful people tune that voice out and focus on results.

I spent years establishing an unmatched reputation as the "tactical queen," and I will never back down from getting you huge results in all areas of your life. But all the tactics in the world don't matter when your answer is "no." I have spent years guaranteeing consistent daily cash, as well as cash at hundreds of events across the world. I'm that confident - not in myself - but in YOU. And guess what, you have created cash in every single Three Days to Cash room because YOUR answer was "Yes!"

I smile to myself every time someone tells me I'm selling too hard because they have no idea of the power of these rooms. I'm not in there selling my products or services, YOU are. I can't be in every single community in the world, but YOU are spreading the message to your friends and family. This is about YOUR passion, YOUR commitment and YOUR dedication.

These aren't promises, they're guarantees. And you owe it to yourself to start guaranteeing that your answer will move from "no" to "Yes!"

Are you giving yourself permission to fail? Coming off the Power of Yes! Event in San Francisco, one thing I heard loud and clear were entrepreneurs who were full of ideas and passion but kept giving themselves outs. If you are saying one of these things, you are giving yourself a way out of your commitment to success.

1) I would have done it but...

2) I want to wait until...

3) I just need the security of my full-time job, but...

4) I would do that but...

5) I normally do that but...

Do you see anything in common with any of these sentence starters? The word BUT! Seriously, but out of your life for a bit. Act as if... the law of attraction... NONE of it will help you if you don't take action. Decisive, firm, committed action. I saw plenty of that too. Those were the entrepreneurs who, when you asked them about their business, literally GLOWED because there was nothing holding them back. They were really activating their Yes! Energy in all areas of their lives.

It doesn't matter what you are committing to: your business, your health, your ability to make new cash every day - if you think that you aren't ready, you are messed up in some way or you can't do it, you are writing your own self-fulfilling prophesy. Stop it!

How will you strengthen your commitments as you head into the weekend?

Today's tip was borrowed from MySuperChargedLife.com

You have to overcome many obstacles to be successful. This is true no matter what endeavor you are pursuing. If you are working on a big goal, I guarantee you that there are going to be problems, issues, and roadblocks along the way. This is not negative, it is reality. Accept it and prepare yourself to overcome the obstacles. Don’t fret about it, just get ready and handle it quickly and decisively. The issue you encounter could be in the form of a technical problem or it could be someone that doesn’t see eye to eye with you. Either way, you have to successfully negotiate the obstacle if you want to move past it to achieve your goal. Here is how I deal with these obstacles when they arise in my life.

1. Troubleshoot and diagnose the root cause

The quickest way to solve any problem is to find its root cause. What is at the very source of the issue? It usually takes some time to determine this. However, the time is well spent because once you know the root cause, then you can address it and move on. With people, they often oppose you out of fear. You need to determine exactly what it is about the action you are taking that makes them afraid and address it with them. Here’s a hint, it usually isn’t the first thing they tell you.

2. Listen to your gut instinct.

I can’t count the times that I solved problems by simply following my gut. For me, This is the nagging little idea in the back of my head that doesn’t really seem logical, but ends up being the solution anyway. In almost every case, I try to dismiss it by reasoning that it couldn’t possibly be the right thing to try. However, once I give in, I find that it leads me exactly to the solution I desired. Listen to your gut. It often knows what to do.

3. Research the problem online.

Generally, if you are having a problem, someone else has already encountered it and solved it. Don’t reinvent the wheel, just find out what they did and try it in your situation. This is one of the fabulous things about the Internet. It is a huge archive of ideas for solving almost any imaginable problem. I love using Google to help find solutions to all kinds of issues. In addition, you might try my Super-Charged Blog Search to find top-quality articles pertaining to personal development, finances, entrepreneurship, and many other similar topics.

4. Recruit the assistance of others.

Get your friends, family, and co-workers involved to help think of ways to overcome the obstacle. Remember, two heads are better than one. Often, these people will have a different perspective on the situation that will lead to an immediate breakthrough. Also, they can serve as champions or cheerleaders to help move you past the present obstacle.

5. Hire an expert.

Sometimes you need to call in the big guns. If the problem is in an area that is outside your expertise and it is particularly nasty, then you should probably bring in an expert. Make sure your expert has solved similar dilemmas in the past. Ask for references and call them to confirm the situation was similar and that the resolution was complete. Document the obstacle in writing along with the exact outcome that you expect. You and the expert should both sign this agreement before any work is done.

6. Change your attitude toward the situation.

Sometimes we are the problem. Evaluate your attitudes and see if a change in the way you are looking at the situation might help to overcome the obstacle. This is especially useful in situations where the obstacle is another person. You might need to change your attitude toward this person in order to get their cooperation. It is going to take some maturity, but the results are often astonishing. (This is where Yes! Energy comes in!)

7. Use trial and error.

When all else fails or when your situation is unique, you may need to experiment. Obviously, this isn’t the most efficient way to overcome an obstacle, but it may be your only option. Be as scientific in your approach as possible. Go slow and evaluate each of your trial solutions as carefully as possible. Sometimes it takes a combination of solutions to achieve the best results.

8. Sleep on it.

I have had numerous stubborn problems where I spent hours trying to solve it with no success. Then I gave up, went to bed, and awoke the next morning with a new idea that fixed the situation almost immediately. Sometimes we just need to give our brains some time to rest and work on the issue. It is often hard to walk away, but sometimes this is the best thing to do.

9. Never give up.

Don’t quit! I am reminded of the quote from Vince Lombardi, “Winners never quit and quitters never win.” This is so true! You may have to back up, turn around, or take a completely different approach, but you can never stop trying to get past the present roadblock. Perseverance is what will lead to success. I refer to people that attack problems with this level of tenacity as bulldogs. They persist until they find a solution no matter what odds are against them. This is the only way to success!

10. Start over.

When all else fails, start over at the beginning. Maybe one of your foundational assumptions about the obstacle is wrong. Re-evaluate everything. If you are having this much trouble, then it is likely that you haven’t identified the root cause or you haven’t framed the issue correctly. Make sure you understand the problem clearly and completely to get it resolved quickly.

Overcoming obstacles is critical to success.

Almost every goal you pursue will have its obstacles. If you want to succeed, you must master the art of problem-solving. These tips will send you in the right direction. Move past the hurdles quickly to cross the finish line to victory!

Yesterday, we talked to you about physical energy drains. Now, I am going to speak about something that can drain you even if you are doing all of the right things - doing it out of order! I call this sequencing. The sequence I was brought up with was simple Nebraska stuff. Work hard. Repeat. Money was something that came with lots and lots of work and it was to be used for sustaining existence. Investing, ski slopes and lattes weren't on the agenda. The basic process was birth, school, work, marriage and working a little less but never completely stopping. As you get older, as a woman, your work just changed. I was never wired that way. I work to take care of my family but I do it in a different way. I teach my children to make their money work for them. I teach my children the proper sequence of doing things.

Sequencing can help you all over the place in your life. It's a vital part of extreme optimism and energy, which is the end result of the Yes! Energy Equation. A properly sequence of scheduled events can get you there every day! If your day isn't working for you, don't fight the energy, change it! Dan Kennedy told me during the Yes! Energy Summit a great bit of information, that you have to find your time of day when the creativity, ingenuity, business, comes most freely for YOU! Your team will have to work around that. His best time is 2 AM. I'm best after coffee. Everyone is different.

Bottom line - take risks, do things differently. Stop what you have been doing if it isn't working and get in the sequence of success. Go! Go! Go! Switch it up.

Sometimes, even though you are ready and willing to say yes, the energy isn't there to pull your body through it. I've been there. The mind is willing and full of Yes! Energy but the body just won't go! We all have low physical energy days, but there are a few things you can do to keep your energy up so you can say YES with enthusiasm, excitement and have the get-up-and-go to follow through. In today's Fast Cash Coaching Tip of the Day, we go into detail on this. One aspect in particular is movement or exercise. I recently joined an exercise program, sparked by our company commitment to health and I have already seen a HUGE impact on my energy. Now, the Yes! Energy is accompanied by the physical energy to get it all done!

You don't have to join a gym or start an exercise program to exercise, but you do need to move! Think about your car. If you don't drive it for a long time, you are going to have problems. If I don't warm mine up in the morning it makes lovely complaining noises. The same is true for your body. But there's another side to that coin as well, if you overdo it, your energy will deplete fast. You need to listen to your body, take breaks. Yes, you want to be fit. But if you want all of your muscles to work (including that brain muscle that makes you MONEY) know when to let off the gas on the exercise.

Ultimately, your body will tell you if it's responding well to the level of exercise you are doing. Soreness is normal. No energy, irritability, lack of motivation and ability to embrace your Yes! Energy - not normal.

I know we have some coaches/trainers in our community. What do you tell your clients? How do you bust over the low energy hump? How can someone tell if they are working out too much? I'd love to hear from you!

Sometimes, even though you are ready and willing to say yes, the energy isn't there to pull your body through it. We all have low physical energy days, but there are a few things you can do to keep your energy up so you can say YES with enthusiasm, excitement and have the get-up-and-go to follow through.

1) Eat: Go to MyFitnessPal.com to see how many calories you should consume a day and make sure you are taking in everything you need to turn out great results in your life. It may seem like you are being productive by skipping this meal or that, but without sufficient fuel to run, your body will slow down, as will your mind and your ability to create results. So eat!

2) Drink Water: This is hard for a lot of us. I know its hard for me. But not drinking water is like not putting oil in your car. That engine will seize up. You'll move slower, get headaches, your skin won't be as nice... 64 oz a day (8 glasses) is the magic number. Some people need more (Coach Ken drinks over twice that!) but only you know your number. When you are consuming the right amount, your energy will sky-rocket.

3) Emergen-C: Vitamin C is an essential vitamin that does so much good for the body. I cannot count how many times I have felt myself getting sick, I've taken this stuff, and then put it out in the universe - "I will not get sick!" Bam... next day feeling fine. This is from Wikipedia: "In humans, vitamin C is essential to a healthy diet as well as being a highly effective antioxidant, acting to lessen oxidative stress; a substrate for ascorbate peroxidase in plants (APX is plant specific enzyme);[4] and an enzyme cofactor for the biosynthesis of many important biochemicals. Vitamin C acts as an electron donor for important enzymes:[51]"

4) Exercise: You don't have to join a gym or start an exercise program, but you do need to move! Back to the car references (yes, aren't they entertaining) if you don't drive your car for a long time, you are going to have problems.

5) Sleep/Rest/Take Breaks: Downtime is essential. If you aren't getting it, you need it - badly. If you aren't getting it, find a way. You should be getting at least 6 but preferably 7 or 8 hours of sleep at night. Other side of the coin philosophy works here too. If you sleep 12 hours, you may wake up more drained than when you went to bed. (There is such a thing as TOO much of a good thing.) Make time in your life for rest, even if it means taking little brain breaks. Read something that makes you laugh. Talk to a friend on the phone. Do an activity that you enjoy. Be nice to yourself and you will find that your energy level will like that - very much.

What do you do to increase your energy? Share your tips with the community!

Have you ever wished for more hours in the day? If only you had a few more hours, you could get it all done. Unfortunately, we are all allowed the same amount of daylight. So how is it that some people just seem to get so much more done than others?

1) Find your best time of the day: Loral was on the Yes! Energy Summit with Dan Kennedy and he suggested that you are most productive when you want to be. Sometimes that means working at the time of day (or night) that is best for you. Some people are pure geniuses in the morning. Others don't hit their stride until after lunch. Dan Kennedy said that 2 AM was his prime time. By working activities into your most productive times, you will get more done within a shorter window.

2) Plan your work and work your plan: Have you ever just stared at your screen blankly wondering where your time went? When you sat down to the computer, did you have a plan for what you were going to do? Sometimes, when faced with so many tasks, you just have to plan out your priorities - must do, should do, nice to do and work that plan. By moving down the list and checking off items as they are completed, you will find that you will accomplish more.

3) Resist the urge to over book yourself: There will always be more work to do. There will always be more networking events to attend. There will always be social opportunities. Resist the urge to accept all of them or schedule yourself so tightly that over areas of your life suffer. Plan time in your day to recharge and everything in life will be better. You will do better work. You will be a better networker. You'll have more fun at social engagements. Overbooking yourself robs you of Yes! Energy and creates a scramble-mentality that you don't need. So don't do it!

How will you overcome time poverty this week?
