I’m sharing it just as I received it…..

Postal Service at its best!

This  is one of the kindest things you may ever see.
It is not known who replied, but there is a beautiful soul working in the dead letter office of the US postal  service.

Our 14 year  old dog, Abbey, died last month. The day after she died, my 4 year old daughter Meredith was crying and talking  about how much she missed Abbey. She asked if we could write a letter to God so that when Abbey got to heaven, God would recognize her. I told her that I thought we could so she dictated these  words:

Dear  God,
Will you please take care of my dog? She died yesterday and is with you in heaven. I miss her very much. I am happy that you let me have her as my dog even though she got sick.

I hope you will play with her. She likes to play with balls and to swim.. I am sending a picture of her so when you see her you will know that she is my dog. I really miss  her.
Love,  Meredith

We put the  letter in an envelope with a picture of Abbey and Meredith and addressed it to God/Heaven. We put our return address on it. Then Meredith pasted several stamps on the front of  the envelope because she said it would take lots of stamps to get the letter all the way to heaven. That afternoon she dropped it into the letter box at the post office. A  few days later, she asked if God had gotten the letter yet. I told her that I thought He had.

Yesterday, there was a package wrapped in gold paper on our front  porch addressed, ‘To Meredith’ in an unfamiliar hand. Meredith opened it. Inside was a book by Mr. Rogers  called, ‘When a Pet Dies.’ Taped to the inside front cover  was the letter we had written to God in its opened envelope. On the opposite page was the picture of Abbey & Meredith and this note:

Dear  Meredith,

Abbey arrived safely in heaven.

Having the picture was a big help. I recognized Abbey right away.

Abbey isn’t sick anymore. Her spirit is here with me just like it stays in your heart. Abbey loved being your dog. Since we don’t need our bodies in heaven, I don’t have any pockets to keep your picture in, so I am sending it back to you in  this little book for you to keep and have something to remember Abbey by..

Thank you  for the beautiful letter and thank your mother for helping  you write it and sending it to me. What a wonderful mother you have. I picked her especially for you.

I send my blessings every day and remember that I love you very much.

By the way, I’m easy to find, I am wherever there is love.

God did indeed answer that little girl… God as a postal worker.

We are all God, Universe, Source, Soul, Spirit, Unconditional Love - whatever name you call it. Sometimes we let the fullness of who we really are shine through - as this postal worker did with Meredity. Other times - we get busy, cranky, worried and our godness does not always shine…

Even though it might not be shining out - we are still always this Unconditional Love. That person sitting next to you on the bus, that pleasant waitress, your cranky co-worker … and that person who looks back at you in the mirror. All of us are that Universal Love - even when we don’t act like it.

The next time someone cuts you off in traffic instead of responding in anger - stop and remember who is driving that car and who is driving your car!

Connect with the Universal Love that you are… Smile at lots of people - say Good Morning to people whether you know them or not - See the godness is the faces of all the people you meet today - Send a friend a card for no reason - Bring flowers to someone … just because - You will touch many, many lives - more than you can imagine. Just as this postal worker touched Meredith and all of us who have read this.

And Remember….

God, Universe, Spirit, Universal Love …. is easy to find

“What would you do today if you knew you absolutely could not fail?”

Monday evening I reworded it and asked it to the Law of Attraction Focus Group - “If you knew without a doubt your dreams and desires were guaranteed - would you be doing anything different today?”

The majority of the group said yes - Some said they would be writing their resignation letters - some said they would be making plans for the trips they want to take - some said they would feel more easy as they would have no money worries….

We did have one member who said he was not going to do anything different till he has some solid evidence in his hand about this guarantee… like a check! I say - “This is a guarantee - that check is yours. So would you now be making plans for that money? Nope… he wanted that check in his hand first….

To the rest of the group I say - “Well go ahead and do all those things as you do indeed have a guarantee!” Now everyone had been smiling, laughing, whispering to each other about the plans they were making… until I said this. Then I saw the energy shift a little - I saw people get a little uncomfortable… Hmmm Maybe there was more than one of them that wanted that check in their hand! 

Is there a Guarantee?

Sure there is - You are guaranteed you will attract to you equal to the signal, the vibration that you are sending out. That is the Law of Attraction at work.

That hesitancy that showed up when I told the group they could go ahead with their plans… is the reason their dreams and desires have not yet shown up.

Cultivate the Mindset…

Many of us have the mindset of “I’ll believe it - when I see it” And the Law of Attraction says - “You’ll see it - when you believe it”

I know… it isn’t always easy to do…. You are looking at this thing you do not want or you are looking at the lack of what you want… You sigh - How can I believe this when what I see is so void of what I want to see?!

We talked about how to shift our thoughts - how to deliberately choose thoughts that make us feel better….

What if this really works?

Then I said - What if this is true? What if this guarantee is true and all you have to do to invoke it is to be aware of how your are feeling… and deliberately choose your thoughts.

What if this really works? What if I focus on the guarantee of my desires… What if I start to see evidence of my dreams and desires unfolding… What if I purposely keep myself in that happy place that I feel when I think of these desires… What if I do that purposely… and what if it works?!

I could feel the energy rising back up in the room…. I could see possibility light up in their eyes….

Let’s Play a Game…

Let’s play that we do indeed believe that all these dreams and desires are guaranteed. Let’s just play - let’s see how this feels - let’s see what happens as we play this game - let’s see how this all unfolds.

So when a bill comes and we think - “Oh how am I going to pay this bill?” - and then we purposely shift - “Oh wait… all that money is coming - it is Guaranteed! I don’t have to get upset about this. It is all being taken care of.. The abundance is right there for me Guaranteed!”

Or you are at work and the thought comes - “Ugh I don’t want to be here…” -  “Oh wait… I am on my way out of here - it is Guaranteed! I will be sending that resignation letter. I will be taking that trip I am planning - it is Guaranteed. The freedom I desire is Guaranteed - I don’t need to get upset about any of this!”

The Game is On…..

I felt people shifting… the energy in that room was building. I actually could physically see the shift happen - faces softened and lit up, body language got relaxed and easy. The room was lit with high positive energy - the faces were smiling!

I told them I was also in on this game and we would play it for one month. The game is easy - Purposely stay in that happy mindset you have when you know something is guaranteed.

I also told the group to stay connected with me during this month - let me know if they get stuck and especially let me know all the wonder-filled things that happen as the days go on……

This carnival has gone through some changes since it’s beginning in August 2006.

It was started by Edward Mills of Evolving Times.

In February of 2008 - Dean Lacono from Law of Attraction for Beginners and myself took it over. Come September 2008 - Dean went on to other adventures and I continued to host the Carnival. I made some changes and we went to a once a month Carnival.

Now… More exciting changes are about to take place! Suzie Cheel of Abundance Highway will be co-hosting the carnival with me! 

I met Suzie on the internet from this Carnival. She has been a fantastic supporter of the Law of Attraction Carnival. I am thrilled to be co-hosting with her! In June look for the Carnival at Suzie’s site - Abundance Highway - I will post a link here when it is posted.

Now on with this month’s Carnival……

I have to tell you - it is getting harder and harder to pick the Best of the Best. This month there were many good entries…. There were 5 that particulary stood out for me…. They are listed in Alphabetical order of the first name of the authors.

I’m always looking for great resources to share with you… and I found some goodies!  

Law of Attraction Music:

When I ride in the car most of the time I have a cd of an Abraham workshop playing…. Every now and then - I would like to listen to some music. Music with uplifting, empowering words…

I do have and listen to the Law of Attraction Directly from Source CD - this is some funky music with Abraham words….

So - I was thinking - are there more types of music like that? I did a search for Law of Attraction music and did come up with some! I spent half the day - sampling these songs and then I found The JaJa’s - This is my kind of music with my kind of words!

These woman can sing! They have beautiful voices and the words in these songs absolutely brings a smile to my face!

I have 8 favorites that I downloaded onto my mp3 player and now can listen to them in the car! They have 2 albums - you can sample all of their songs at CDBaby - If you just want to purchase individual mp3 songs you can do so at their website - The JaJa’s

This week I read the ebook - “Student Mind Power - The High School Student’s Guide To Getting Great Grades!” -

Today, April 22nd, is Earth Day…. and while I know some folks want to talk about what is wrong… I think it is a great day to talk about what is right! 

I think today is a great day to focus on … what you appreciate about the Earth!

Rolling hills, spectacular moutains, glorious meadows, wheat & corn fields, chipmunks, polar bears, eagles - and so much more… All supported on this Glorious Earth!

Some say it is all endangered - I don’t think so… I know that is not a popular stance to take - especially on this particular day…

Is the earth going through a shift?

I would say that is true… The earth is a living organism - it is energy vibrating - it shifts and adapts - it fine-tunes - just like we do.

I choose to look at what is right within this wonder-filled world and all it’s diverse people and animals.

I want to know what you are for - not what you are against… When we push against something - it pushes back — when we uplift something - it also uplifts us!

Yes - I recycle - I nurish the earth - I don’t litter - I am not wasteful — and I do this all from the perspective of Appreciation. When we appreciate something - we respect it - we treat it with kindness.

We are all energy - you - me - the chipmunk - the polar bear - the green rolling meadows & the earth….. We are all connected. Today I will appreciate this glorious earth - the air I breathe and the people & animals who inhabit it.

Give someone a hug today - and you will also be hugging the earth!

Today I visited Marie Benard’s blog, Synchronicity Radio. I read her post “Law of Attraction vs. Action” I was drawn to this article immediately because of the title… I have heard other’s express LOA versus Action.

Marie asks some excellent questions about the Law of Attraction - Action - Doing - Being –

There seems to be a huge misunderstanding about the Law of Attraction- so instead of leaving a very, very long comment at Marie’s blog - I came here to sort this all out.

I hear these misconceptions about the Law of Attraction quite often.

Marie says - “…..all you have to do is get feeling good and sit on your butt and things will come knocking on your door.”

She is far from the first person I have heard express this idea. Rightly so - she is frustrated. I have to wonder - Who is teaching this stuff?!

I’m not sure if any person is actually teaching LOA in this manner as much as it is our own old stories that are being mixed in with the teachings.

I know from my client’s and my own experience we have a lot of beliefs around success in life - business - money….

Here are just a few of the things we have been taught:

• Work Hard
• Sacrifice
• You have to do things you don’t like to do
• You have to be competitive
• You have to get there first - before someone else gets it

Then we read a book or see a movie like The Secret and we hear someone say - We can Be, Do or Have anything we want with little effort. Whoa - that blows our beliefs, our old stories, right out of the water!

I think our brains react like a pinball machine on Tilt

We hear -  “little effort” - To many of our brains that means - I don’t have to do those things I don’t like to do - which then turns into - that means “No Action”

See the tilt here - many times we equate the word “action” - with things we don’t like to do. The concept of “little effort” totally goes against those old stories of what we have been taught on how to be successful.

If you are equating the word “Action” with the meaning of “Doing things you don’t like to do”….. Then, I too, would be telling you the Law of Attraction teaches you “No Action”

Stay with me here…..

If you are like me - You do not like to get up very early in the morning… And for those of you who are happy early risers - I’ll take this a step further - I think I can safely say - none of us would love the idea of getting up early in the morning with only 2 hours sleep…..

So the alarm goes off after those 2 hours of sleep - you barely reach over - turn it off and barely get your body up out of that bed… This is an Action - that you do not like to do….

Let’s change the scenario just a little bit - Same 2 hours of sleep - but on this day when the alarm goes off it is waking you to begin your 2 week cruise on the Mediterranean or whatever your perfect vacation would be! - While you might reach over just as slowly - you then realize - Oh today I am going on my fabulous vacation - and you are up and gathering your items and raring to go! You are excited about your day - This is Inspired Action!

Same action - one was motivated - one was inspired…  What is the difference?

Lets say in the first scene - it was a work day and you even might like your job - but this isn’t what you would choose to do on only 2 hours of sleep. Yet… you know you can’t call in sick on that day and you want the full paycheck at the end of the week - So you are motivated to take that action of getting up.

Second scenario - You are excited about this day. You have high expectations of having a fantastic vacation. You are eager for this experience - hence you are Inspired to get up and begin this day!

Scene one - You are Doing - Your Being is not very excited - You are not lined up with feeling good.

Scene Two - You are BEING first - which then produces the Doing - the Inspired Action.

Both actions worked - they got you out of bed… But the motivated action carries a heavier vibration - where the inspired action carries a happy, light vibration - Which signal would you want to be sending out?

I know what you are saying… Duh - Ellie - of course I am Being excited about this fabulous vacation and not being so excited about going to my job…

What if you could be so excited about your life that all your actions would be inspired? What would your life look like?

Most people’s brains will go back to that old idea of - Well in order for that to happen I have to Do the things I don’t like in order to Have the things I want in order to Be happy. That is the equation most of us have been taught and it is an underlying belief in our thought systems.

How has it been working out for you?

While it has worked for some - I know from my own and others experience - that system of Do - Be - Have does not always work. I will go as far to say - it rarely works! I certainly have followed that system - did not get the results I was looking for and then ended up feeling like a failure.

When I finally understood the Law of Attraction that failure made perfect sense to me! Here I was following a system that really did not sit well with me. What kind of vibration am I putting out by doing that? What kind of signal am I sending out - believing I have to do things I don’t like to do in order to get things I like!

The Law of Attraction does not say “Don’t take Action”….

None of us came to this highly physical and interactive society to just sit on a rock — We came into this physical experience to be involved in life - to get our hands into the clay and mold our own unique sculptures.

Truthfully sitting on a rock - making a wish and have it appear - while it might sound lovely at first - I do believe life would be extremely boring!

The Law of Attraction says first line up with your desires - First BE - Be Happy - Be Success. Be aware of the abundance around you - Be aware of the exciting journey of life - Be aware of your power.

And… as You Be the Magnificent Creator that you are - You will find yourself doing inspired action. You will find yourself lining up with all the desires you hold in life - You will find yourself not feeling dragged down by things but instead uplifted by thoughts you deliberately choose.

Everything is energy vibrating at different levels. When you are Being Happy - you are emitting a vibration - Law of Attraction can only bring to you what you are sending out.

You could line up with going to work on 2 hours of sleep - even if the initial action was unpleasant - you are still able to turn it around as your day goes on. The Law of Attraction is always about - what signal are you sending out to the Universe? If you stay angry, upset all day because you went to work on 2 hours sleep - you are going to attract to you angry, upsetting situations.

At any point of your day -

• You can turn your attention to things that please you.
• You can make peace with a yucky situation.
• You can run thoughts that your business isn’t working - or you can run thoughts that you are lining up with this business working.

You always (all ways) get to choose…..

Oops! I am one day late in posting this month’s Law of Attraction Carnival. We got back from vacation late on Wednesday, March 4th. I did think I would be able to get through all the entries and post on Thursday…. but… Life has been interesting around here - I will be filling you in on all of that in the next several days….

I stopped the entries for this Carnival early this month - so that I would be able to get this to you. It seems that many of the entries come in on the last few days…. and I guess some folks did not take note of the entry date. I will have lots and lots of entries to read for next month!  

While there were over 25 entries - I am always looking for 5-7 of The Best of The Best Law of Attraction Articles - Many submission were sales letters without any content. If you are writing an article and do indeed promote a product that you believe - I think that is great! …. But I will not pick sales pages without any content.
