MDCS7 & Midlands District AGM 10 October

LMYC are hosting the final round of the Midlands District Champion Skipper series on 10 October. The Midlands District AGM will take place in the club house immediately afterwards.

I'm looking for volunteers, specifically someone to drive the rescue boat & position buoys (Hopefully we'll have the outboard) and to help with the the start line & scoring. Two more willing helpers would be appriciated. So far we have:

RO: Andy Stevenson
Finish line: Ivan Stevenson
HMS: Gordon Sears

I've asked Manor park if we can borrow their start box too, I'm not convinced ours is up to the task, it's been a little flakey of late.

If you're willing to help out please let me know ASAP.

We have a bunch of RA skippers descending on us on Sunday 11 July.

Obviously this means there'll be no RM or IOM sailing that day.

I've been offered the loan of a boat for the event, Derek has agreed to take on the Race officer job and I'm hoping to enlist Gordon Sears (Midland District MYA Councillor) to do the scoring. We could also do with a couple of extra bodies to man the finish line, update the fleets & act as observers. Anyone interested please let me know asap.
